- by 2x2p1p
Hi guys. I did a "shadow" effect but the "div" elements must have a relationship (father and son)
shadow
shadow

Can I make the same thing with separate elements like this bellow ?
shadow

shadow
Thanks :)

  • AnkhSVN Commits Are Very Slow

    - by jakdep
Recently, I had to move my SVN repositories to a different server, but I am experiencing some performance problems since the move. I am using Visual Studio 2005, AnkhSVN 2.1.7819.411 and TortoiseSVN 1.6.6 on my workstation and VisualSVN Server on the server which runs Windows Server 2008. Whenever I try to commit a file or view the file history in Visual Studio it takes twenty odd seconds. I confirmed that an exception has been made for VisualSVN Server on the server's firewall, but when I disable the server's firewall the performance is back to normal (1-2 seconds for a commit). When I do a commit or check the log on a file in TortoiseSVN the performance is fine as well. To ensure that the problem was not related to the moving of the repositories, I am running these tests against a new repository which was created on the new server. So, I reckon the problem lies with AnkhSVN, but am at a loss as how to diagnose it further. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Overflow issue in IE 7

    - by Spencer Carnage
I need some help with CSS overflow in IE, namely IE 7. I want the nested div content to be hidden.

hidden stuff goes here

It works fine in FF but in IE 7, the overflow content is not hidden.

  • jqmodal IE (7 or 8) flashes black before modal loaded

    - by brad
This is killing me. In both IE7 and 8, using jqModal, the screen flashes black before the modal content is loaded. I've set up a test app to show you what's happening. I've taken jqModal EXACTLY from the site, no changes whatsoever, no external css that could be affecting my app. It works perfectly in every other browser (including IE6). http://jqmtest.heroku.com/ So, first two links are ajax calls, second is straight up inline HTML. (I originally thought it was the ajax that was affecting it, but that doesn't seem to be the case, I then thought it was slow loading ajax, hence to two differen ajax links) What's crazy is that the jqmodal site itself works perfectly in IE, no flashing of black, but I can't see what I'm doing wrong. Code is straight forward html:

Here's some inline content
Close

Short loading modal

Longer loading modal

inline modal

Javascript: CSS is exactly the same as the one downloaded from jqModal's site so I'll omit it, but you can see it on my app Has anyone experienced this? I don't get how his works and mine doesn't.

  • Databind a datagrid header combobox from ViewModel

    - by Mike
    I've got a Datagrid with a column defined as this: <Custom:DataGridTextColumn HeaderStyle="{StaticResource ComboBoxHeader}" Width="Auto" Header="Type" Binding="{Binding Path=Type}" IsReadOnly="True" /> The ComboBoxHeader style is defined in a resource dictionary as this:

Child

  • ICommand.CanExecute being passed null even though CommandParameter is set...

    - by chaiguy
I have a tricky problem where I am binding a ContextMenu to a set of ICommand-derived objects, and setting the Command and CommandParameter properties on each MenuItem via a style: <ContextMenu ItemsSource="{Binding Source={x:Static OrangeNote:Note.MultiCommands}}"> <ContextMenu.Resources> <marker refX="0" refY="0" orient="auto" id="A00End" style="overflow: visible;"> ...bunch more defs... </defs> <g id="endpoints"> ...bunch of SVG with a some... ...more svg... </g> I have run the output XML trough the WC3 validator for XML to verify it is valid. Like I said before, works in FireFox 3.6. I tried it on Safari and I got the same "undefined" so it seems to be related to Webkit.

  • Web Page Design Get Distorted in Desktop PC Monitor

    - by Tarik
I am building my web application on my laptop but when I navigate the page on my desktop pc the layout of the div are distorted. I think the solution is giving percentage instead of absolute numbers like 240px to height and width of divs. What do you think ? Do you have another recommendations ? Thanks in advance. What I've done is :

What I think I have to do is :

  • css - get rid of spaces between spans

I'm trying to emulate a tab bar with html I'd like the width of each tab to be set according to the text lenght (that is, no fixed width) and to word wrap in case it exceeds the screen width I've almost achieved it

   very very looong

   another loooong tab

but, there's a very annoying space between the opening tab image and the closing one... as you can see I've tried with padding, spacin, and border, with no luck... any idea? thanks a lot saludos sas -- edit I tried replacing the spans with a small table (one row, three TDs) but it's the same, only the space between is smaller...

  • Event not bubbling in some Browsers when clicked on Flash

Environment: Windows 7, Internet Explorer 8, Flash ActiveX 10.1.53.64, wmode=transparent Just wrote a small test page that you can load in IE and Firefox or any other Browser.

Event bubbling test

So clicking any colored shape should produce an alert (except for the green one in IE, not sure why but I hope that's off topic and not related to my issue). Clicking the Flash container in Firefox will work Perfectly fine. You should get alert boxes in this order containing: span, div and body. Flash bubbles the event to the HTML. But this is not happening in IE. So why is Flash in IE not bubbling events to HTML? Edit: As mentioned by Andy E this behavior can also bee seen in Google Chrome which to my knowledge is not using ActiveX to embed the flash movie into the page.

  • Using Qt to read and parse html files with QWebKit?

    - by Alberto Toglia
I would like to read and parse certain elements of html files but I'm not interested in rendering it in any way. Basically I would like to go through all my div tags and get some of its style attributes. This is what I've done so far: QWebPage page; QWebFrame * frame = page.mainFrame(); QUrl fileUrl("localFile.html"); frame->setUrl(fileUrl); QWebElement document = frame->documentElement(); QWebElementCollection elements = document.findAll("div"); foreach (QWebElement element, elements){ std::cout << element.attribute("style").toStdString() << std::endl; } Doesn't show anything. I'm somewhat confused if I could use webkits this way. P.D.: I'm using a filechooser to pick the local html root.
