• Class initialization issues loading java.util.logging.LogManager in Android Dalvik VM

  I've done changes in an Android native library and installed a new system.img file but am now getting an unrelated Error on startup. I can get past it by swallowing the error but I wanted to know if anyone can explain what the issue is. The Android implementation of Logger.java claims that it is Forcing the LogManager to be initialized since its class init code performs necessary one-time setup. But this forced initialization results in a NoClassDefFoundError. I'm thinking that it has something to do with the class not having been preloaded by Zygote yet but am not that familiar with the whole class loaders and VM business. • Salesforce/PHP - Bulk Outbound message (SOAP), Time out issue - See update #2

  Salesforce can send up to 100 requests inside 1 SOAP message. While sending this type of Bulk Ooutbound message request my PHP script finishes executing but SF fails to accept the ACK used to clear the message queue on the Salesforce side of things. Looking at the Outbound message log (monitoring) I see all the messages in a pending state with the Delivery Failure Reason "java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out". If my script has finished execution, why do I get this error? I have tried these methods to increase the execution time on my server as I have no access on the Salesforce side: set_time_limit(0); // in the script max_execution_time = 360 ; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds max_input_time = 360 ; Maximum amount of time each script may spend parsing request data memory_limit = 32M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume I used the high settings just for testing. Any thoughts as to why this is failing the ACK delivery back to Salesforce? I can process about 25 requests (That are in 1 SOAP response) but once I go over that I get the timeout error in the Salesforce queue. for 50 requests is usually takes my PHP script 86.77 seconds. Could it be Apache? PHP? I have also tested just accepting the 100 request SOAP response and just accepting and sending the ACK the queue clears out, so I know it's on my side of things. I show no errors in the apache log, the script runs fine. I did find some info on the Salesforce site but still no luck. Here is the link. Also I'm using the PHP Toolkit 11 (From Salesforce). Other forum with good SF help Thanks for any insight into this, --Phill UPDATE: If I receive the incoming message and print the response, should this happen first regardless if I do anything else after? Or does it wait for my process to finish and then print the response? UPDATE #2: okay I think I have the problem: PHP uses the single thread processing approach and will not send back the ACK file until the thread has completed it's processing. Is there a way to make this a mutli thread process? Thread #1 - accept the incoming SOAP request and send back the ACK Thread #2 - Process the SOAP request I know I could break it up into like a DB table or flat file, but is there a way to accomplish this without doing that? I'm going to try to close the socket after the ACK submission and continue the processing, cross my fingers it will work.

• "Access is denied" JavaScript error when trying to access the document object of a programmatically-

  I have project in which I need to create an <iframe> element using JavaScript and append it to the DOM. After that, I need to insert some content into the <iframe>. It's a widget that will be embedded in third-party websites. I don't set the "src" attribute of the <iframe> since I don't want to load a page; rather, it is used to isolate/sandbox the content that I insert into it so that I don't run into CSS or JavaScript conflicts with the parent page. I'm using JSONP to load some HTML content from a server and insert it in this <iframe>. I have this working fine, with one serious exception - if the document.domain property is set in the parent page (which it may be in certain environments in which this widget is deployed), Internet Explorer (probably all versions, but I've confirmed in 6, 7, and 8) gives me an "Access is denied" error when I try to access the document object of this <iframe> I've created. It doesn't happen in any other browsers I've tested in (all major modern ones). This makes some sense, since I'm aware that Internet Explorer requires you to set the document.domain of all windows/frames that will communicate with each other to the same value. However, I'm not aware of any way to set this value on a document that I can't access. Is anyone aware of a way to do this - somehow set the document.domain property of this dynamically created <iframe>? Or am I not looking at it from the right angle - is there another way to achieve what I'm going for without running into this problem? I do need to use an <iframe> in any case, as the isolated/sandboxed window is crucial to the functionality of this widget.   This is probably mostly a question about how to use the VS 2010 IDE tools in a way the Microsofties didn't specifically intend. But since this is something I immediately tried without success. • FBML is not rendered in Facebook App in iframe - please help

  I'm developing an Facebook Application in PHP. It's loaded as an iframe and not as FBML. The normal interaction with Facebook works. After I removed the tags my app is displayed but not the form. I am searchign the web vor 1 week now and read many Threads about FBML and XFBML in Facebook but nothing worked for me.   This question is regarding using STSADM command to create new site collection in Active Directory Account creation mode. My setup is like this- I have 2 virtual PCs in a Windows XP Pro SP3 host. Both VPCs are Windows Server 2003 R2. One VPC acts as the DC, DNS Server, DHCP server, has Active Directory installed and is also the Database Server. The other VPC is the domain member and it is the IIS web server, POP/SMTP server and it has WSS 3.0 installed. I created a new site using the GUI in Central Admin page. For creating a site collection under the newly created site, I needed to use the STSADM command line tool since it cannot be done from Central Admin page in Active Directory Account creation mode.   I'm trying to write a user control that has an ItemsControl, the ItemsTemplate of which contains a TextBox that will allow for TwoWay binding. However, I must be making a mistake somewhere in my code, because the binding only appears to work as if Mode=OneWay. • Django TemplateSyntaxError only on live server (templates exist)

  I'm getting a strange error that only occurs on the live server. My Django templates directory is set up like so base.html two-column-base.html portfolio index.html extranet base.html index.html The portfolio pages work correctly locally on multiple machines. They inherit from either the root base.html or two-column-base.html. However, now that I've posted them to the live box (local machines are Windows, live is Linux), I get a TemplateSyntaxError: "Caught TemplateDoesNotExist while rendering: base.html" when I try to load any portfolio pages. It seems to be a case where the extends tag won't work in that root directory (???). Even if I do a direct_to_template on two-column-base.html (which extends base.html), I get that error. The extranet pages all work perfectly, but those templates all live inside the /extranet folder and inherit from /extranet/base.html. Possible issues I've checked: file permissions on the server are fine the template directory is correct on the live box (I'm using os.path.dirname(os.path.realpath(__file__)) to make things work across machines) files exist and the /templates directories exactly match my local copy removing the {% extends %} block from the top of any broken template causes the templates to render without a problem manually starting a shell session and calling get_template on any of the files works, but trying to render it blows up with the same exception on any of the extended templates. Doing the same with base.html, it renders perfectly (base.html also renders via direct_to_template) Django 1.2, Python 2.6 on Webfaction. Apologies in advance because this is my 3rd or 4th "I'm doing something stupid" question in a row. The only x-factor I can think of is this is my first time using Mercurial instead ofsvn. Not sure how I could have messed things up via that. EDIT: One possible source of problems: local machine is Python 2.5, live is 2.6. Here's a traceback of me trying to render 'two-column-base.html', which extends 'base.html'.   I use jqGrid with many columns contains Boolean information, which are displayed as checkboxes inside of table (see http://www.ok-soft-gmbh.com/VerticalHeaders/TestFixedO.htm as an example). To display information more compact I use vertical column headers. It works very well and works in jqGrid in all browsers (see my discussion with Tony Tomov in jqGrid forum http://www.trirand.com/blog/?page_id=393/feature-request/headers-with-vertical-orientation/), but in IE vertical texts looks not nice enough. I was asked from users why the texted displayed so strange. So I think about using a JavaScript based SVG library like SVG Web ( http://code.google.com/p/svgweb/ ) or Raphaël ( http://raphaeljs.com/ ). SVG is very powerful and it is difficult to find a good example is not very easy. I need only display vertical texts (-90 grad, from bottom to up) and use if possible without working in mode of absolute position. So one more times my question: I need have a possibility to display vertical texts (-90 grad rotation) inside of <td> element of table header. I want use a JavaScript based SVG library like SVG Web or Raphaël. The solution must support on IE6. Have somebody a good reference to example which could help me to do this? If somebody post a whole solution of the problem I would be happy.   Hello, I am working with Silverlight 3 beta, and am having an issue. I have a page that has a user control that I worte on it. The user control has a dependency property on it. If the user control does not define a data context (hence using the parent's data context), all works well. But if the user control has its own data context, the dependency property's OnPropertyChanged method never gets called. • TableView Cells Use Whole Screen Height

  I read through this tutorial Appcelerator: Using JSON to Build a Twitter Client and attempted to create my own simple application to interact with a Jetty server I setup running some Spring code. I basically call a get http request that gives me a bunch of contacts in JSON format. I then populate several rows with my JSON data and try to build a TableView. All of that works, however, my tableView rows take up the whole screen. Each row is one screen. I can scroll up and down and see all my data, but I'm trying to figure out what's wrong in my styling that's making the cells use the whole screen. My CSS is not great, so any help is appreciated. Thanks!   I'm having problems getting a Silverlight DataGrid to stretch to accommodate all the items in it's dataSource. I've got a Grid that contains two DataGrids. I've tried setting height=Auto on the Grid and the DataGrids. I've tried setting HorizontalContentAlignment="Stretch" on the Grid and the DataGrids. The object tag has height="100%" I've set the Height="*" on the RowDefinitions for the Grid Any help would be very much appreciated!   Im trying to use CURL to scrape the results from the page http://adlab.msn.com/Online-Commercial-Intention/Default.aspx My understanding, is that i visit this page, it places cookie info and sets a few variables. • Adding JBoss repository to m2eclipse, no latest Hibernate version

  I'm trying to add JBoss repository to m2eclipse, mainly for Hibernate. It seems to work, but it can't find the latest version of Hibernate (3.5.1), only 3.5.0beta. I looked at some other packages, and they all seem a couple of months behind. What could be causing this? I'm running latest m2eclipse, and i guess latest Eclipse (it just says 20100218-1602, eclipse people think it's funny to not include version in the about dialog), on ubuntu 9.10.   My Scenario: I have server_1 (192.168.10.1) with wso2-ESB and server_2 (192.168.10.2) with Glassfish-v3 + web services. Problem: I am trying to create a proxy in ESB using the java Web Services, but the created proxy does not respond properly. The log says: Unable to sendViaPost for http or https does not change the result. I think I should configure the axis2.xml but I am having trouble, and don't know what to do. What is the configuration for my scenario? Please help me! EDIT: To be clear, I can directly consume the WebService in the Glassfish server, it works normal, both port and url are accessible. Only when I create a "Pass through Proxy" in the ESB, it does not work. I don't think is matter of Proxy configuration...I never had problems while deployed locally, problems started once I have uploaded the ESB to a remote server. I really would need someone to point me what is the correct procedure when installing the ESB on a remote host: configuration of axis2.xml and carbon.xml, ports, transport receivers etc... P.S. I had a look at the official (wso2 esb and carbon) guides with no luck, but I am missing something... • WPF: Focus in a Window and UserControl

  I'm trying to get a UserControl to tab properly and am baffled. The logical tree looks like this. |-Window -Grid -TabControl -TabItem -StackPanel -MyUserControl |-StackPanel -GroupBox -Grid -ComboBox -Textbox1 -Textbox2 Everything works fine, except when the visibility converter for the ComboBox returns Visibility.Collapsed (don't allow user to change database mode), then when textbox1 is selected, instead of being able to tab through the controls in the UserControl, the focus shifts to a button declared at the bottom of the window. Nothing else apart from the controls displayed has TabIndex or FocusManager properties set. I'm banging my head against a brick wall and I must be missing something. • HTML: Place an image on top of another one

  Inside a div, there is a picture that should have 10px margin in all directions from the DIV's border. On the left bottom corner of the picture there is an about-image. The picture is only displayed when its loaded in the DOM through jquery. The problem is that the existence of the about-image dislocates the picture downwards as many pixels as the height of the about-image. I am looking for the cleanest possible alternative to keep the picture inside the DIV and still display the about-image on top of it. Setting the picture as background will not work since i need the picture to load at once. Any improvement on the #about css would be greatly appreciated.
