  • Code assist in (jsp /jstl) view for Spring MVC model objects in Eclipse

    - by Bjorn Thor Jonsson
In Spring MVC when placing an object in the view model like so: public String getUser( Model model ) { //...fetch user... model.addAttribute( "user", user ); return "viewName"; } and accessing it's values in the JSP / JSTL view like this: ... <p> ${user.name} </p> ... I'm wondering if it is possible to have code assist for the user object in the view? The IDE I'm using is MyEclipse but it would be interesting to know if this is possible in other editors as well. Thanks.

  • Eclipse: Subclipse "Edit Conflicts"

    - by Wilco
I have found that when using Subclipse to edit conflicts, all my syntax color settings are preserved except for the background color, which is reset to the standard white. Using my particular color scheme makes it almost impossible to read any of the text when stuck with a white background. Is there anywhere I can change this default background color? There doesn't seem to be any way to do this from the preferences window, but perhaps there is a config file somewhere I could edit? Any help would be very much appreciated (my eyes will thank you too)!

  • How to setup an Eclipse Project with multiple Subprojects (OSGi-Bundles)

    - by stacker
Sherlog is an OSGi-based log analyzer, if I import this project as an workspace snapshot I receive lot's of projects in my workspace, but I would prefere to have them as subprojects in a project. The other option would be to checkout from svn, but then I face other problems (I don't know how to setup the dependencies for automatically build) Does anyone have an idea or good links on this topic? Thanks

  • Eclipse Galileo + Glassfish v3: JPADeployer NullPointerException on deploy

    - by bshacklett
I've created a very simple "Enterprise Application" project with about 7 entity beans and one stateless session bean. I've also configured an instance of Glassfish v3 to run as my application server. Unfortunately, when I attempt to publish the EAR to Glassfish, I'm getting the following response: SEVERE: Exception while invoking class org.glassfish.persistence.jpa.JPADeployer prepare method java.lang.NullPointerException at org.glassfish.persistence.jpa.JPADeployer.prepare(JPADeployer.java:104) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.server.ApplicationLifecycle.prepareModule(ApplicationLifecycle.java:644) at org.glassfish.javaee.full.deployment.EarDeployer.prepareBundle(EarDeployer.java:269) at org.glassfish.javaee.full.deployment.EarDeployer.access$200(EarDeployer.java:79) at org.glassfish.javaee.full.deployment.EarDeployer$1.doBundle(EarDeployer.java:131) at org.glassfish.javaee.full.deployment.EarDeployer$1.doBundle(EarDeployer.java:129) at org.glassfish.javaee.full.deployment.EarDeployer.doOnBundles(EarDeployer.java:197) at org.glassfish.javaee.full.deployment.EarDeployer.doOnAllTypedBundles(EarDeployer.java:206) at org.glassfish.javaee.full.deployment.EarDeployer.doOnAllBundles(EarDeployer.java:232) at org.glassfish.javaee.full.deployment.EarDeployer.prepare(EarDeployer.java:129) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.server.ApplicationLifecycle.prepareModule(ApplicationLifecycle.java:644) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.server.ApplicationLifecycle.deploy(ApplicationLifecycle.java:296) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.server.ApplicationLifecycle.deploy(ApplicationLifecycle.java:183) at org.glassfish.deployment.admin.DeployCommand.execute(DeployCommand.java:272) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.admin.CommandRunnerImpl$1.execute(CommandRunnerImpl.java:305) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.admin.CommandRunnerImpl.doCommand(CommandRunnerImpl.java:320) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.admin.CommandRunnerImpl.doCommand(CommandRunnerImpl.java:1176) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.admin.CommandRunnerImpl.access$900(CommandRunnerImpl.java:83) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.admin.CommandRunnerImpl$ExecutionContext.execute(CommandRunnerImpl.java:1235) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.admin.CommandRunnerImpl$ExecutionContext.execute(CommandRunnerImpl.java:1224) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.admin.AdminAdapter.doCommand(AdminAdapter.java:365) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.admin.AdminAdapter.service(AdminAdapter.java:204) at com.sun.grizzly.tcp.http11.GrizzlyAdapter.service(GrizzlyAdapter.java:166) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.server.HK2Dispatcher.dispath(HK2Dispatcher.java:100) at com.sun.enterprise.v3.services.impl.ContainerMapper.service(ContainerMapper.java:245) at com.sun.grizzly.http.ProcessorTask.invokeAdapter(ProcessorTask.java:791) at com.sun.grizzly.http.ProcessorTask.doProcess(ProcessorTask.java:693) at com.sun.grizzly.http.ProcessorTask.process(ProcessorTask.java:954) at com.sun.grizzly.http.DefaultProtocolFilter.execute(DefaultProtocolFilter.java:170) at com.sun.grizzly.DefaultProtocolChain.executeProtocolFilter(DefaultProtocolChain.java:135) at com.sun.grizzly.DefaultProtocolChain.execute(DefaultProtocolChain.java:102) at com.sun.grizzly.DefaultProtocolChain.execute(DefaultProtocolChain.java:88) at com.sun.grizzly.http.HttpProtocolChain.execute(HttpProtocolChain.java:76) at com.sun.grizzly.ProtocolChainContextTask.doCall(ProtocolChainContextTask.java:53) at com.sun.grizzly.SelectionKeyContextTask.call(SelectionKeyContextTask.java:57) at com.sun.grizzly.ContextTask.run(ContextTask.java:69) at com.sun.grizzly.util.AbstractThreadPool$Worker.doWork(AbstractThreadPool.java:330) at com.sun.grizzly.util.AbstractThreadPool$Worker.run(AbstractThreadPool.java:309) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:637)

  • Splashscreen ProgressBar in Eclipse RCP has "dirty" corners

    - by pimpf0r
Hi there, I am using the RCP Splash Screen along with the built-in ProgressBar (AbsolutePositionProgressMonitorPart). The splash image has a blue background color, but the background of the progressbar seems to be white, which leads to some white corners. There is no "setBackground" on BasicSplashHandler nor does getContent().setBackground(Color) has any noticeable effect. I don't want to be too picky, but since the splash is the first thing you see from the application, I think its very important to be tidy. So, do you have any idea how to get rid of these corners?

  • JiBX binding DTD schema in Eclipse

    - by Trick
I have warnings in binding xml files: No grammar constraints (DTD or XML schema) detected for the document. I have done as is written in the answer here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/982263/jibx-how-do-i-keep-using-interfaces-in-my-code (answer which is not accepted). But now I have an error in binding xml file: Referenced file contains errors (file:/C:/Amplio/LiveCliq/Work/core/src/main/resources/config/rest/ mappings/binding.dtd). For more information, right click on the message in the Problems View and select "Show Details..." And the details are: The markup in the document preceding the root element must be well-formed. line 20 I am not familiar with DTD schemas, so I don't know what is the problem. Did anybody found the solution? And - I do not want to turn off validation in XML files, I would like to have this in binding files (mainly for code assist and validation).

  • Eclipse plugin: content assist working in Galileo, not Ganymede

    - by erwan
Hi, I am writing a custom editor in a plugin, and I developed it in Galileo. Now I'm trying to run it in Ganymede, but content assist doesn't work. There is no error, just nothing happens when I type "ctrl+space". The way I'm doing it is by providing a custom Configuration class that extends SourceViewerConfiguration, overriding public IContentAssistant getContentAssistant(ISourceViewer sourceViewer). The method gets called when the editor is created but there is no content assist. Was there any change from Ganymede to Galileo that I should be aware of?

  • Set up ECLIPSE IDE Path

    - by AEIOU
I'm still working on this problem: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2610469/java-runtime-command-line-process Based on what one of the contributors has said I tried the following: So I've tried adding the path to "gs" in my "Run Configurations" - Environment Tab and "Linked Resources" (Preferences - General - Workspace - Linked Resources). Neither has worked... But it's still not working, I'm getting the same error. Any other ideas? Because I'm all out.

  • How to sync with eclipse target management?

    - by SpliFF
I've been using the Jcraft SFTP plugin for Team Synchronisation up till now but I ran across a rumour it's being deprecated by "Target Management". Still, despite my best efforts I haven't found any information on HOW you are supposed to setup a sync with RSE/Target Management. Can anybody provide a step-by-step guide or at least clarification on whether this is actually possible right now or just a planned feature. I do my testing locally then sync to the remote - which may have changes made by other users. I want to be able to see differences and deal with conflicts etc just like with the current Team Synchronization framework.

  • Eclipse RCP: Generating views from form values

    - by binil
I want to build a user interface similar to the sketch below: When the user fills out the form on the right and clicks the 'Plot!' button, a new closeable tab opens on the left with a chart. I am new to RCP and have been following this tutorial. I am able to bring up tabs with charts triggered from a menu item. How do I go about: creating the tab (view?) with the form open a new chart tab when the user clicks the button
