• JQGRID Master detail on different pages

  Hello, I need some help on next things. I was trying to do next few things. I have one grid_test.php (that creates jqgrid) and index_grid.php (just to display grid.php). jQGrid in grid.php have custom button named 'Prikazi'. I want the user to select one row from that grid and when press custom button 'Prikazi' to redirect to another page to show subgrid (and to pass parameter which is the id of the selected row). Subgrid is in the file detail_test.php and also I have file called index_detail.php (for displaying the file detail_test.php with jqgrid). These php files communicate by passing parameter id_reda (or id) that is id of the selected row in grid_test.php. I have tried many ways to achieve that but I wasn't able. Subgrid php file (detail_test.php) receives that parameter but when I add that to sql statement in subgrid file it shows next error: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'LIMIT 0, 0' at line 16' in C:\Zend\Apache2\htdocs\jqSuitePHP3811SourceRadna\php\jqGridPdo.php:62 I really don't know what am I doing wrong. Maybe the passing of parameter is wrong and maybe subgrid can't create colModel properly. Or it has something to do with sql statements. • JPA - Setting entity class property from calculated column?

  I'm just getting to grips with JPA in a simple Java web app running on Glassfish 3 (Persistence provider is EclipseLink). So far, I'm really liking it (bugs in netbeans/glassfish interaction aside) but there's a thing that I want to be able to do that I'm not sure how to do. I've got an entity class (Article) that's mapped to a database table (article). I'm trying to do a query on the database that returns a calculated column, but I can't figure out how to set up a property of the Article class so that the property gets filled by the column value when I call the query. If I do a regular "select id,title,body from article" query, I get a list of Article objects fine, with the id, title and body properties filled. This works fine. However, if I do the below: Query q = em.createNativeQuery("select id,title,shorttitle,datestamp,body,true as published, ts_headline(body,q,'ShortWord=0') as headline, type from articles,to_tsquery('english',?) as q where idxfti @@ q order by ts_rank(idxfti,q) desc",Article.class); (this is a fulltext search using tsearch2 on Postgres - it's a db-specific function, so I'm using a NativeQuery) You can see I'm fetching a calculated column, called headline. How do I add a headline property to my Article class so that it gets populated by this query? So far, I've tried setting it to be @Transient, but that just ends up with it being null all the time.

• Logging exceptions during bean injection

  I think this is a pretty basic question, but after Googling around I can't seem to find the answer. What I need is a way to log some custom output with log4j during Spring bean construction. I have a factory class called ResponderFactory (being used as an instance factory in Spring) with a factory method that can throw 2 different types of exception. public CollectorResponder collectorResponder(String inputQueueName) throws ConfigurationException, BrokerConnectionException {} Now, normally I could wrap a call to this method in a try-catch block with 2 catch clauses to handle the logging situations for each of the exceptions. • Rails: Custom template for email "deliver_" method?

  I'm building an email system that stores my different emails in the database and calls the appropriate "deliver_" method via method_missing (since I can't explicitly declare methods since they're user-generated). My problem is that my rails app still tries to render the template for whatever the generated email is, though those templates don't exist. I want to force all emails to use the same template (views/test_email.html.haml), which will be setup to draw their formatting from my database records. How can I accomplish this? • jQuery.load doesn't execute javascript with document.write

  I am trying to use jQuery.Load to load an ad call that has a document.write, and for some reason its not able to, or in firefox atleast, reloads the page with the entire ad. Here is the simplified version of the code. • How do I Unit Test Actions without Mocking that use UpdateModel?

  I have been working my way through Scott Guthrie's excellent post on ASP.NET MVC Beta 1. In it he shows the improvements made to the UpdateModel method and how they improve unit testing. I have recreated a similar project however anytime I run a UnitTest that contains a call to UpdateModel I receive an ArgumentNullException naming the controllerContext parameter.   My testers have discovered that if you type free text into a file upload input then none of the buttons on the page work until that text is removed (so the page cannot be submitted). I've seen solutions elsewhere which suggest hiding input and replacing it with a label / button combo, but this seems like it might cause more problems and work inconsistently across browsers.   I have aggregate functions foo(), foobar(), fredstats(), barneystats() I want to create a domain specific query language (DSQL) above my DB, to facilitate using a domain language to query the DB. The 'language' comprises of algebraic expressions (or more specifically SQL like criteria) which I use to generate (ANSI) SQL statements which are sent to the db engine. Ideally I'd love to move to MVC2 and the client side validation built into that, but I am required to use MVC1

  I'm using a gmail account to send emails from my website. I'm using the same account to pick up emails which are generated by the contact facility on my site. I'm using the Reply-To field to attempt to make it easier to hit reply and easily get back to people. The message comes up with the 'from' address and ignores the 'reply-to' address. • RESTfully Nesting Resource Routes with Single Identifiers

  In my Rails app I have a fairly standard has_many relationship between two entities. A Foo has zero or more Bars; a Bar belongs to exactly one Foo. Both Foo and Bar are identified by a single integer ID value. These values are unique across all of their respective instances. Bar is existence dependent on Foo: it makes no sense to have a Bar without a Foo. There's two ways to RESTfully references instances of these classes. Given a Foo.id of "100" and a Bar.id of "200": Reference each Foo and Bar through their own "top-level" URL routes, like so: /foo/100 /bar/200 Reference Bar as a nested resource through its instance of Foo: /foo/100 /foo/100/bar/200 I like the nested routes in #2 as it more closely represents the actual dependency relationship between the entities. However, it does seem to involve a lot of extra work for very little gain. Assuming that I know about a particular Bar, I don't need to be told about a particular Foo; I can derive that from the Bar itself. In fact, I probably should be validating the routed Foo everywhere I go (so that you couldn't do /foo/150/bar/200, assuming Bar 200 is not assigned to Foo 150). Ultimately, I don't see what this brings me. So, are there any other arguments for or against these two routing schemes?

  Problem : We have equal number of men and women.each men has a preference score toward each woman. So do the woman for each man. each of the men and women have certain interests. Based on the interest we calculate the preference scores. So initially we have an input in a file having x columns. First column is the person(men/woman) id. id are nothing but 0.. n numbers.(first half are men and next half woman) the remaining x-1 columns will have the interests. these are integers too. now using this n by x-1 matrix... we have come up with a n by n/2 matrix. the new matrix has all men and woman as their rows and scores for opposite sex in columns. We have to sort the scores in descending order, also we need to know the id of person related to the scores after sorting. So here i wanted to use hash table. once we get the scores we need to make up pairs.. for which we need to follow some rules. My trouble is with the second matrix of n by n/2 that needs to give information of which man/woman has how much preference on a woman/man. I need these scores sorted so that i know who is the first preferred woman/man, 2nd preferred and so on for a man/woman. I hope to get good suggestions on the data structures i use.. I prefer php or perl. Thank you in advance

  I am using jqGrid with treeGrid. I have added a filterToolbar. I would like to search locally instead of having a server call. The treegrid docs say that, "When we initialize the grid and the data is read, the datatype is automatically set to local." So, is it possible to implement local search with treeGrid. I tried the below configuration, but it is resulting in server calls. • Facebook Connect - Using both FBML and PHP Client

  I am doing my second Facebook connect site. On my first site, I used the facebook coonect FBML to sign a user in, then I could access other information via the PHP Client. With this site, using the same exact code, it doesn't seem to be working. I'd like someone to be able to sign in using the Facebook button: <fb:login-button length="long" size="medium" onlogin="facebook_onlogin();"></fb:login-button> After they have logged in, the facebook_onlogin() function makes some AJAX requests to a PHP page which attempts to use the Facebook PHP Client. Here's the code from that page: $facebook = new Facebook('xxxxx API KEY xxxxx', 'xxxxx SECRET KEY xxxxx'); //$facebook->require_login(); ** I DONT WANT THIS LINE!! $userID = $facebook->api_client->users_getLoggedInUser(); if($userID) { $user_details = $facebook->api_client->users_getInfo($userID, 'last_name, first_name'); $firstName = $user_details[0]['first_name']; $lastName = $user_details[0]['last_name']; $this->view->userID = $userID; $this->view->firstName = $firstName; $this->view->lastName = $lastName; } The problem is that the PHP Client thinks I don't have a session key, so the $userID never get set. If I override the $userID with my facebook ID (which I am logged in with) I get this error: exception 'FacebookRestClientException' with message 'A session key is required for calling this method' in C:\wamp\www\mab\application\Facebook\facebookapi_php5_restlib.php:3003 If I uncomment the require_login(), it will get a session ID, but it redirects pages around a lot and breaks my AJAX calls. I am using the same code I successfully did this with on another site. Anyone have any ideas why the PHP client don't know about the session ID after a user has logged in with the connect button? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
