• Need help modifying my Custom Replace code based on string passed to it

  Hello, I have a C# program that will open a text file, parse it for certain criteria using a RegEx statement, and then write a new text file with the changed criteria. For example: I have a text file with a bunch of machine codes in it such as: X0.109Y0Z1.G0H2E1 My C# program will take this and turn it into: X0.109Y0G54G0T3 G43Z1.H2M08 (Note: the T3 value is really the H value (H2 in this case) + 1). T = H + 1 It works great, because the line usually always starts with X so the RegEx statement always matches. • errors deploying an EAR with EJBs 2.1 into JBoss AS5

  Hi, I'm porting an application with EJBs 2.1 from Weblogic9 to JBoss AS5. I have made some of the changes like adding jboss.xml descriptors to EJBs and fixing application.xml of the EAR, but there are still problems when deploying the EAR.   Is is possible to select a datetime field from a MySQL table and group by the date only? I'm trying to output a list of events that happen at multiple times, grouped by the date it happened on. My table/data looks like this: (the timestamp is a datetime field) 1. 2010-03-21 18:00:00 Event1 2. 2010-03-21 18:30:00 Event2 3. 2010-03-30 13:00:00 Event3 4. 2010-03-30 14:00:00 Event4 I want to output something like this: March 21st 1800 - Event 1 1830 - Event 2 March 30th 1300 - Event 3 1400 - Event 4 Thanks!

• MFC SDI Application without a default "New Document" on Startup

  My application is an SDI with multiple views. By default, it creates a new document when the application starts. I want to modify this behavior so that a new document is created only when user explicitly clicks on "New". Or at least mimic this behavior. Any ideas? I am using Visual Studio 2008 with MFC feature pack. I googled and found some solution to this problem in an old MS Journal article. But unfortunately it doesn't seem to work now. Any workarounds or solutions? In short, I need to differentiate between framework call to OnFileNew() and User Click on New.

  I am attempting to author a merge module for use by multiple application installers to install a Win32 Shared SxS Assembly and its associated Policy. I'm using WiX 3.0 to generate the MSM and test MSIs. So far it works fine for the first app installer that runs … but the second app installer fails because the Policy file already exists (HRESULT: 0x800700B7). What requirement(s) for correct Win32 Shared SxS Policy installation am I missing? I have submitted WiX bug 3005301 for this (https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=642714&aid=3005301&group_id=105970) and posted VS2008 projects that reproduce the problem. And if there are multiple such subsequences, then I also have to find the first. ex:- consider the sequences: abcdefgedcg here i=3 and k=2 aabcdddd here i=5, k=3 I tried looking at the original longest common subsequence problem, but that is used to compare the two sequences to find the longest common subsequence.... but here is only one sequence from which we have to find the subsequences.   G'day guys, I have a current set of data, and I generate multiple analyses of this data (each analysis into its own active record item called a pricing_interval) using a helper function at the moment. Currently to analyse the set of data, you need a start time(using datetime_select) an integer (using text_field) and a name (using text_field) I would like on submission of the form to be redirected to the index page of my pricing_interval, as the values will be re-generated. Manually generating a range proves that my helper methods work. How would I build a form that on submit would send parameters to a function in the form of (date,integer,name) so that it could immediately begin work whilst redirecting the user to server/pricing_intervals Anything at all would help, I've spent hours over the past few days trying to get the rails form syntax working properly to no avail, a really straightforward guide to what I would implement to get this working would be amazingly appreciated. I've looked through the form guides, as I'm not creating an object, but merely parsing params, there's got to be an easy way to do this, right?

I have looked into sendgrid, mailchimp and mad mimi as hosted services and also looked to create my own email server. We are looking to rewrite our data access layer and are trying to decide between native C++ OLEDB or ADO.NET for connecting with databases. All applications will be in managed code so using native C++ OLEDB would require C++/CLI to work (no PInvoke way to slow). 2. We are doing some ajax-ey stuff and as a result have a few different resource files we upload, some of which are multiple file resources (zip files). Has anyone automated the building of these resources using ANT, and does that work well? Our environment seems very fragile and works for some developers and not others; have other people had this problem? How did you resolve it?

  I need to draw polygon using mouse and mark a particular area on google maps. The purpose is to mark an area on google maps and then showing hotels and attractions on that area. The user will mark the hotels on google map while creating them so the db will have their latitude and longitudes. How can I draw the polygon and fill it with a color as background to mark the area in Google Maps? I have read the API Manual “how to draw polygons?” basically you would need to mark multiple points and then combine them into a polygon. But I will need to do this using mouse drag, just like drawing a shape. Kindly help me out how to achieve this. Thanks in advance.

• How to import modules that are used in both the main code and a module correctly?

  Let's assume I have a main script, main.py, that imports another python file with 'import coolfunctions' and another: 'import chores' Now, suppose coolfunctions also uses stuff from chores, hence I declare 'import chores' inside coolfunctions. Since both main.py, and coolfunctions import chores ~ is this redundant? Is there any other way of doing this? Am I doing it correctly? I'm confused about how python projects should be structured in general. I have a "conf.py" file, that I import for a bunch of variables ~ is this a module or not? I load this conf file in multiple places as well.

• Undefined reference to cmph functions even after installing cpmh library

  I am using gcc 4.4.3 on ubuntu. I installed cmph library tools 0.9-1 using command sudo apt-get install libcmph-tools Now, when I tried to compile example program vector_adapter_ex1.c , gcc is able to detect cmph.h library in its include file but is showing multiple errors like vector_adapter_ex1.c:(.text+0x93): undefined reference to cmph_io_vector_adapter' vector_adapter_ex1.c:(.text+0xa3): undefined reference tocmph_config_new' vector_adapter_ex1.c:(.text+0xbb): undefined reference to cmph_config_set_algo' vector_adapter_ex1.c:(.text+0xcf): undefined reference tocmph_config_set_mphf_fd' even though, these are all defined in the source code of the cmph library. Could anyone tell the error that might have occurred or suggest an alternate method to go about building minimal perfect hash functions.

• How to use RadSpell within a Telerik MVC Grid editor popup?

  Is it possible to use RadSpell within a Telerik MVC Grid editor popup? I have followed some of the examples online to use RadSpell with ASP.NET MVC (http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/mvc-using-spellchecker.html and http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/spell-client-side-api.html) and I am able to attach multiple text controls to check but the display gets messed up when using Telerik MVC Grid editor popups since it's already in a modal. Sometimes it will randomly pick another div on the page and treats it like it's the main window (it will gray out just a portion of the page and I'll see the RadSpell popup peeking through but it's unusable). It seems like it chooses different places in the DOM to inject the iframe/radwindow for RadSpell as well. Any ideas? I didn't include any code because my implementation is a mess and I'd prefer to start with something simpler, from scratch.

• Composite events in locally scoped regions with Prism (CAL)

  I'm starting to train Prism (CAL) with a small application and faced some problems. I'm creating multiple instances of my MainView, which itself contains some regions, and display them in the Shell. I'm using locally scoped regions to easily handle view injections within my MainView. Currently I'm searching for a way of communication between the views (viewModels) inside the MainView. Composite events could do it, but when I publish those events, they are handled in all instances of my MainView, which I really don't want. Is there a way of raising "locally scoped" composite events like with locally scoped regions? Or may be there's a better way of communicating between views in my case?

• Best practice for submits redirecting to another page in MVC2?

  I have a situation with my MVC2 app where I have multiple pages that need to submit different information, but all need to end up at the same page. In my old Web Forms app, I'd have just accomplished this in my btnSave_Click delegate with a Redirect. There are three different types of products, each of which need to be saved to the cart in a completely different manner from their completely different product pages. I'm not going to get into why or how they're different, just suffice to say, they're totally different. After they're saved to the cart, I need to "redirect" to the Checkout view. But it should be noted, that you can also just browse straight to the Checkout view without having to submit any products to add to the cart. Here's a diagram of what I'm trying to accomplish, and how I think I need to handle it: Is this correct? It seems like a common scenario, but I haven't seen any examples of how I should handle this.
