    According to the java API, the constructor Date(year, month, day) is depreciated. I know that I can replace it with the following code: Calendar myCal = Calendar.getInstance(); myCal.set(Calendar.YEAR, theYear); myCal.set(Calendar.MONTH, theMonth); myCal.set(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH, theDay); Date theDate = myCal.getTime(); However, I would like something shorter to replace it with (ideally one-two lines). Any suggestions?

    I'm looking to fill a python dict with TAG:definition pairs, and I'm using RegExr http://gskinner.com/RegExr/ to write the regex My first step is to parse a line, from http://www.id3.org/id3v2.3.0, or http://pastebin.com/VJEBGauL and pull out the ID3 tag and the associated definition. For example the first line: 4.20 AENC [#sec4.20 Audio encryption] would look like this myDict = {'AENC' : 'Audio encryption'} To grab the tag name, I've got it looking for at least 3 spaces, then 4 characters, then 4 spaces: {3}[a-zA-Z0-9]{4} {4} That part is easy enough. The second part, the definition, is not working out for me. So far, I've got (?<=(\[#.+?)) A Which should find, but not include the [# as well as an indeterminded set of characters until it finds: _A, but it's failing. If I remove .+? and replace _A with s it works out alright. What is going wrong? *The underscores represent spaces, which don't show up on SO. How do I grab the definition, ie,(Audio encryption) of the ID3v2 tag from the line, using RegEx?

    Hi I have 2 models in my django code: class ModelA(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=255) description = models.CharField(max_length=255) created_by = models.ForeignKey(User) class ModelB(models.Model): category = models.CharField(max_length=255) modela_link = models.ForeignKey(ModelA, 'modelb_link') functions = models.CharField(max_length=255) created_by = models.ForeignKey(User) Say ModelA has 100 records, all of which may or may not have links to ModelB Now say I want to get a list of every ModelA record along with the data from ModelB I would do: list_a = ModelA.objects.all() Then to get the data for ModelB I would have to do for i in list_a: i.additional_data = i.modelb_link.all() However this runs a query on every instance of i. Thus making 101 queries to run. Is there any way of running this all in just 1 query. Or at least less than the 101 queries. I've tried putting in ModelA.objects.select_related().all() but this didn't seem to have any effect. Thanks

I have tried textread,fscanf and a few other matlab commands but the result is that they all read each row in decimal format and create a 840946*1 array.I want to create a 840946*125 array to compute a column wise sum.     I have done a lot of searching to what appears to be a simple LINQ problem but I can't figure out how to do grab an object out of a collection that has a specified minimum (or max value) without resorting to a sort like this: > dim customers= GetCustomers() > > dim youngest = (From c in customers > Order By c.age Ascending).ToList.First This (untested code) structure works fine with the exception that the entire customer array must be sorted and placed into a list for the only purpose of extracting the first value. That can't be the best way to get the minimum!     For an assignment for my intro to python course, we are to write a program that generates 100 sets of x,y coordinates. X must be a float between -100.0 and 100.0 inclusive, but not 0. Y is Y = ((1/x) * 3070) but if the absolute value of Y is greater than 100, both numbers must be discarded (BUT STORED) and another set generated. The results must be displayed in a table, and then after the table, the discarded results must be shown. The teacher said we should use a "string accumulator" to store the discarded data. This is what I have so far, and I'm stuck at storing the discarded data. # import random.py import random # import math.py import math # define main def main(): x = random.uniform(-100.0, 100.0) while x == 0: x = random.uniform(-100.0, 100.0) y = ((1/x) * 3070) while math.fabs(y) > 100: xDiscarded = yDiscarded = y = ((1/x) * 3070) As you can see, I run into the problem of when abs(y) 100, I'm not too sure how to store the discarded data and let it accumulate every time abs(y) 100. I'm cool with the data being stored as "351.2, 231.1, 152.2" I just don't know how to turn the variable into a string and store it. We haven't learned arrays yet so I can't do that.     I have a tableViewController where I have used the Interface Builder to insert a Segmented Controller having two segments. Since by default, first segment is always selected, I am not facing any problem in displaying the tableview corresponding to first segment. However, when I click on the second segment, I want to display another tableView. Here goes the problem. I am calling newTableViewController class on clicking the second segment. Hence, this view is getting pushed instead. Please suggest me a method to have these two tableViews in the main tableView upon clicking the segments. I have used switch case for switching between the segments.   • JBoss 4.0.5 startup takes 15 minutes deploying a single war file

    This instance of JBoss deploys several war files. The rest of the JBoss startup takes about 5 minutes or less. But when it gets to one particular war file, startup just hangs with no further output to the jboss log. It waits there for about 15 minutes and then suddenly the war starts deploying. The rest of the JBoss startup is then fine. What I want to know is what steps do you recommend I take to diagnose the cause of this condition? It is not possible to upgrade this site to a newer version of JBoss nor java (currently 1.5.0.7). It is running on 32-bit CentOS 5.3 Linux on 3 xen-based virtual servers in a load balanced configuration. The code is common to all three servers via an nfs share. This same issue was seen, however, when the 3 servers were physical and the code was local to each server. The servers are each 2 cpu, 4GB RAM servers.

Do I just: Put the argparse.py file along with my project. That is, in the tar file for my project. Create a package for it for my distro? Tell the user to install it himself? I am attempting to write a query that returns an alias column with matching values (resulting from an IN) as well as an alias column with values that do not match (using NOT IN). I want the result set to have: userId | matches | nonmatches. I currently have the following query which returns the matches as expected.     I'm setting up a directory application for which I need to have two separate interfaces for the same Users table. Basically, administrators use the Users controller and views to list, edit, and add users, while non-admins need a separate interface which lists users in a completely different manner. To do this, would I be able to just set up another controller with different views but which accesses the Users model? Sorry if this is a simple question, but I've had a hard time finding how to do this.

The problem is that the notify event is raised only when I change the array itself and isn't raised when I change one value within the array, i.e, next code line raises the event: Statuses = new bool[4]; but next line does not raises the event: Statuses [0] = true; How can I raise the event each time one cell is changed?
