  • Why do you have to mark a class with the attribute [serializable] ?

    Seeing as you can convert any document to a byte array and save it to disk, and then rebuild the file to its original form (as long as you have meta data for its filename etc.). Why do you have to mark a class with [Serializable] etc? Is that just the same idea, "meta data" type information so when you cast the object to its class things are mapped properly?

    I have an array of checkboxes in a complex dynamic-html form. Whenever a user clicks one checkbox, a fairly expensive query is generated and submitted to a remote server. I want to delay this submit action depending on the users next action. If the user clicks several checkboxes quickly, all of the first clicks should be discarded, only the last one is processed and eventually submitted after 1 second or so. maybe this is a common problem but I have never worked with timeouts before.

    I am using the jQuery supersized script for a full screen slideshow (not the WordPress plugin as this didn't give me enough control). However, one issue that I am trying to tackle is how to render the image caption text outside of the javascript slides[ ] call - and instead, render them within the page div - to improve SEO on the page. My code works fine right now, images and the caption text are correctly displaying, but looking at the source code, there is very little text outside of the javascript (which is bad for SEO), so I would just like to improve it, if possible. I need something like Graph::Easy::Layout but I have no idea how to get nodes coordinates: I render nodes myself and I only want to retrieve box coordinates/size. Any suggestions?
