• How do I create an empty custom table in Wix

  How do I get Wix to include a CustomTable with no rows in the final MSI? If I simply define the table like this <CustomTable Id="MyTable"> <Column Id="Id" Type="string" Category="Identifier" PrimaryKey="yes"/> <Column Id="Root" Type="string"/> <Column Id="Key" Type="string"/> <Column Id="Name" Type="string"/> </CustomTable> Wix omits it from the final output. My CustomAction is expecting it to be there, so that it can add rows to it during execution. Any ideas?

I'd appreciate any help with this one; also any help with some python resources that have can dummy down how/why classes are used. You've been going to work on a database project at work for sometime now. Your boss encourages you to program the database in Python. He asks you to do two things: Evaluate the existing source code and extend it to make it useful for managers in the firm. I can successfully save concrete Widget implementations e.g. "TwitterWidget". However, I have a problem retrieving all widgets (or rather ALL widget implementations). My repository exposes the following: public IQueryable<Widget> GetAll(); This effectively returns the IDbSet from the DbContext. From the various online articles on Java 7 I have come to know that Java 7 will be having collection literals like the following: List<String> fruits = [ "Apple", "Mango", "Guava" ]; Set<String> flowers = { "Rose", "Daisy", "Chrysanthemum" }; Map<Integer, String> hindiNums = { 1 : "Ek", 2 : "Do", 3 : "Teen" }; My questions are: 1] Wouldn't it have been possible to provide a static method of in all of the collection classes which could be used as follows: List<String> fruits = ArrayList.of("Apple", "Mango", "Guava"); IMO this looks as good as the literal version and is also reasonably concise. Why then did they have to invent a new syntax? 2] When I say List<String> fruits = [ "Apple", "Mango", "Guava" ]; what List would I actually get? Would it be ArrayList or LinkedList or something else? Thanks.

  I'm currently using JerseyTest w/ Grizzly embedded server to test some code. I do some very simple configuration to point it to the proper resources: Map<String, String> initParams = new HashMap<String, String>(); initParams.put("com.sun.jersey.config.property.packages", "com.sample.service"); ApplicationDescriptor appDescriptor = new ApplicationDescriptor(); appDescriptor.setServletInitParams(initParams); super.setupTestEnvironment(appDescriptor); This works fine and the Jersey components are available and working as expected. I'm now trying to add some Mule functionality to some of these Jersey calls, but Mule is not being properly initialized/configured by Grizzly. Has anyone gotten this kind of setup running? What additional configuration do I need to do with JerseyTest/GrizzlyWebServer to get it to initialize Mule properly?

• Firefox drags div like it was an image, javascript event handlers possibly to blame

The first "slide" is okay, you drag, it says "sliding", you drop, it says "not sliding". On the second "slide" (or mousedown if you will), firefox suddenly thinks the div is an image or link and wants to drag it around. Windows does not capture the cursor when you take a screenshot, but it's a stop sign. Is there someway to prevent this default behaviour?

  I am looking to migrate my selenium RC tests to using PHPUnit 3.4.12 from PHPUnit 3.3.2 The selenium test will fail with an exception of the following when I use assertTextPresent() PHPUnit_Framework_Exception: Response from Selenium RC server for getLocation(). • Need Help on a custom HTML Helper

  I'm trying to create a custom HTML Helper to help simplify my masterpages menu, however it is not rendering on the HTML when I use it.. I'm thinking I will need to create a partial view, any ideas?   I'm writing a web crawler for a specific site. The application is a VB.Net Windows Forms application that is not using multiple threads - each web request is consecutive. However, after ten successful page retrievals every successive request times out. It seems strange that it always happens after ten consecutive requests. Notes: In the constructor for the class in which this method resides I have the following: ServicePointManager.DefaultConnectionLimit = 100 If I set KeepAlive to true, the timeouts begin after five requests. All the requests are for pages in the same domain. EDIT I added a delay between each web request of between two and seven seconds so that I do not appear to be "hammering" the site or attempting a DOS attack. However, the problem still occurs.

  We have the following problem: A CFC-method that is called from AJAX suddenly redirects the request to cfcexplorer instead of executing the request.   I'm switching from scala 2.7 and ordered to scala 2.8 and using ordering. It looks quite straight forward but I was wondering could I make it a little less verbose. These are the details of the error: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Cannot open database "WSS_Content_8887ac57951146a290ca134778ddc3f8" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE'. Does anyone have any idea why this error happens? Why does the web service run fine inside Visual Studio 2008, but not when running stand-alone? I checked and in both cases, the username variable has the same value (domain\myusername). Thank you very much.

• Problem using custom HttpHandler to process requests for both .aspx and non-extension pages in IIS7

  I am trying to process both ".aspx" and non-extension page requests (i.e. both contact.aspx and /contact/) using a custom HttpHandler in IIS7. My handler works just fine in either one case or the other, but as soon as I try to process both cases, it only works for one. Please see Handlers snippet from my web.config below: If i keep only mapping to "*.aspx" then all .aspx requests are processed correctly, but obviously extensionless requests won't work: <add name="AllPages.ASPX" path="*.aspx" verb="*" type="Test.PageHandlerFactory, Test" preCondition="" /> If i change the mapping to "*" then all extensionless requests are processed correctly, but ".aspx" requests that should still be handled by this handler stop working. Note that i added the StaticFiles entry in order to process files that are on disk like images, css, js, etc. <add name="WebResource" path="WebResource.axd" verb="GET" type="System.Web.Handlers.AssemblyResourceLoader" /> <add name="StaticFiles" verb="GET,HEAD" path="*.*" type="System.Web.StaticFileHandler" resourceType="File" /> <add name="AllPages" path="*" verb="*" type="Test.PageHandlerFactory, Test" preCondition="" /> The crazy thing is that when i load an ".aspx" request (with the 2nd configuration shown) IIS7 gives a 404 not found error. The error also says that the request is processed by the StaticFiles handler. But I made sure to add resourceType="File" to the StaticFileHandler in order to avoid this. According to MS this means the request is only for "physical files on disk". Am i misreading/interpreting the "on disk" part? My .aspx file isn't on disk, that's why i want to use the handler in the first place.

  I'm intialising a HashSet like so in my program: Set<String> namesFilter = new HashSet<String>(); Is this functionally any different if I initilise like so? HashSet<String> namesFilter = new HashSet<String>(); I've read this about the collections interface, and I understand interfaces (well, except their use here). I've read this excerpt from Effective Java, and I've read this SO question, but I feel none the wiser. Is there a best practice in Java, and if so, why? My intuition is that it makes casting to a different type of Set easier in my first example. But then again, you'd only be casting to something that was a collection, and you could convert it by re-constructing it.
