  • Copy EXIF Metadata from TIF to JPEG in C# / VB.NET

    Hello! I would really appreciate if you could shed light on this problem. I have 2 images, one was created from TIF file with metadata, the other is an in-memory image that will be saved as jpeg. Then I use this routine to transfer exif metadata from first image to the second one (that is from the one created from tif file to the in-memory image): For Each _p In image1.PropertyItems image2.SetPropertyItem(_p) Next And this works perfectly fine. All exif items are successfully copied. I confirmed this by using watches in debug mode. The problem comes when you save image2 as jpeg using this: Dim eps As EncoderParameters = New EncoderParameters(1) eps.Param(0) = New EncoderParameter(Encoder.Quality, 85) Dim ici As ImageCodecInfo = GetEncoderInfo("image/jpeg") image2.Save("C:\1.jpg", ici, eps) Only very few EXIF properties are saved with image2 jpeg file however, namely only camera model and camera maker. However If I save image2 as TIF, all properties from the original tif will be there. Can anyone explain why is that? Thanks.

  • How can you make a PHP application require a key to work?

    About 4 years ago I used a php product called amember pro, it is a membership script which has plugins for lie 30 different payment processors, it was an easy way to set up an automated membership site where users would pay a payment and get access to a certain area. The script used ioncube http://www.ioncube.com/sa_encoder.php to prevent non-paying users from using the script, it requered that you register the domain that the script would be used on, you were then given a key to enter into the file that would make the system/script work. Now I am wanting to know how to do such a task, I know ioncube encoder just makes it hard to see the code, in the script I mention, they would just have a small section at the tp of 1 of the included pages that was encrypted and without that part of the code it would break and in addition if the owner of the script did not put you domain in the list and give you a valid key it would not work, also if you tried to use the script on a different domain it would not work. I realize that somewhere in the encrypted code that is must of sent you key to there server and checked that it was valid for the domain name it is on, or possibly it did not even do that, maybe the key would just verify that it matched the domain the script was on, that more likely what it did. Here is where the real question is, How would you make a script require the portion that is encrypted? If I made a script and had a small encrypted part at the top, it would seem a user would be able to easily just remove the encrypted part and figure out what the non encrypted part is doing and fix it to work. Any ideas?

    Hello Everyone!! Hope You all are fine and also in one of your best of moods!! Hope You all are Enjoying iPhone development. I herewith one issue that i am not able to solve, may be i don't know the depth concept of iPhone. So Its my humble requet to you to guide me or suggest or share your ideas. I do find an issue with getting an image from Bytes array. I am calling a webservice which returns an image in form of Bytes Array as response. I have Converted this bytes array in to form of NSData, Now i have NSData, But When i Try to get an image from this NSData, It shows nil. I Did lots of R&D and Find one suggestion to use base64 encoder, But unfortunately because of not proper guidance I was not able to Implement that. I was also suggested to use OPenSSL Library for base64 from url http://www.cocoadev.com/index.pl?BaseSixtyFour But again i was not able to include #include #include these two files. as in Newer Version of SDK 3.X family Apple has depreciated those (as i guess).   • Handling Corrupted JPEGs in C#

    We have a process that pulls images from a remote server. Most of the time, we're good to go, the images are valid, we don't timeout, etc. However, every once and awhile we see this error similar to this: Unhandled Exception: System.Runtime.InteropServices.ExternalException: A generic error occurred in GDI+. at System.Drawing.Image.Save(Stream stream, ImageCodecInfo encoder, EncoderPa rameters encoderParams) at ConsoleApplication1.Program.Main(String[] args) in C:\images\ConsoleApplic ation1\ConsoleApplication1\Program.cs:line 24 After not being able to reproduce it locally, we looked closer at the image, and realized that there were artifacts, making us suspect corruption. Created an ugly little unit test with only the image in question, and was unable to reproduce the error on Windows 7 as was expected. But after running our unit test on Windows Server 2008, we see this error every time. Is there a way to specify non-strictness for jpegs when writing them? Some sort of check/fix we can use?   • powershell missing member methods in array

    Hi Guys I have (yet another) powershell query. I have an array in powershell which i need to use the remove() and split commands on. Normally you set an array (or variable) and the above methods exist. On the below $csv2 array both methods are missing, i have checked using the get-member cmd. How can i go about using remove to get rid of lines with nan.   • Encoding multiple video streams with a single avconv invocation

    I played with avconv on Ubuntu and I'm now able to e.g. record the desktop with sound from a soundcard. One thing I wanted to do was recording two video inputs at the same time, for instance the desktop and from the webcam. I thought about doing something like this: avconv \ -f alsa \ -i default \ -acodec flac \ -f video4linux2 \ -r 6 \ -i /dev/video0 \ -f x11grab \ -i :0.0 \ out.mkv My thinking was that if you define multiple video inputs, and the .mkv format can handle multiple video streams, avconv will encode 2 video streams and 1 audio stream into one file.     I have a code for concatenation of files using ffmpeg.Here silence.wav is a mute audio file with 2 seconds length. I need to prepend this mut audio file to REC00096_Jun-06-2014 16.47.28.wav. You should be able to see all the Oracle AS instances that are part of the cluster. This means that the OPMN clustering worked and the AS instances successfully joined the AS cluster. Result You should be able to see if all the instances in the AS cluster are listed in the EM console. If the instances are not listed here are the files to check to see if OPMN joined the cluster properly: $ORACLE_HOME\opmn\logs{*}opmn.log*$ORACLE_HOME\opmn\logs{*}opmn.dbg* If OPMN did not join the cluster properly, please check the opmn.xml file to make sure the discovery multicast address and port are correct (see this link  for opmn documentation). Restart the whole instance using opmnctl stopall followed by opmnctl startall. Log on to AS console to see if instance is listed as part of the cluster. Test Case 2 Check to see if you can start/stop each component Implementation Check each OC4J component on each AS instanceStart each and every component through the AS console to see if they will start and stop.Do that for each and every instance. Result Each component should start and stop through the AS console. You can also verify if the component started by checking opmnctl status by logging onto each box associated with the cluster Test Case 3 Add/modify a datasource entry through AS console on a remote AS instance (not on the instance where EM is physically running) Implementation Pick an OC4J instanceCreate a new data-source through the AS consoleModify an existing data-source or connection pool (optional) Result Open $ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\<oc4j_name>\config\data-sources.xml to see if the new (and or the modified) connection details and data-source exist. If they do then the AS console has successfully updated a remote file and MBeans are communicating correctly. Test Case 4 Start and stop AS instances using opmnctl @cluster command Implementation 1. Go to $ORACLE_HOME\opmn\bin and use the opmnctl @cluster to start and stop the AS instances Result Use opmnctl @cluster status to check for start and stop statuses.  HTTP server test cases This section will deal with use cases to test HTTP server failover scenarios. In these examples the HTTP server will be talking to the BPEL console (or any other web application that the client wants), so the URL will be _http://hostname:port\BPELConsole Test Case 1  Shut down one of the HTTP servers while accessing the BPEL console and see the requested routed to the second HTTP server in the cluster Implementation Access the BPELConsoleCheck $ORACLE_HOME\Apache\Apache\logs\access_log --> check for the timestamp and the URL that was accessed by the user. Timestamp and URL would look like this 1xx.2x.2xx.xxx [24/Mar/2009:16:04:38 -0500] "GET /BPELConsole=System HTTP/1.1" 200 15 After you have figured out which HTTP server this is running on, shut down this HTTP server by using opmnctl stopproc --> this is a graceful shutdown.Access the BPELConsole again (please note that you should have a LoadBalancer in front of the HTTP server and configured the Apache Virtual Host, see EDG for steps)Check $ORACLE_HOME\Apache\Apache\logs\access_log --> check for the timestamp and the URL that was accessed by the user. Timestamp and URL would look like above Result Even though you are shutting down the HTTP server the request is routed to the surviving HTTP server, which is then able to route the request to the BPEL Console and you are able to access the console. By checking the access log file you can confirm that the request is being picked up by the surviving node. Test Case 2 Repeat the same test as above but instead of calling opmnctl stopproc, pull the network cord of one of the HTTP servers, so that the LBR routes the request to the surviving HTTP node --> this is simulating a network failure. For one of our projects we have the need to do a filter on SharePoint views, the problem here is that the view it’s a list containing a CAML Query with the filters the view may have, so in order to filter the view that’s already been filtered before, we need to append our filters to the existing CAML Query. That’s not a trivial task because the where statement in a CAML Query it’s like this: <Where>   <And>     <Filter1 />     <Filter2 />   </And> </Where> If we want to add a new logical operator, like an OR it’s not just as simple as to append the OR expression like the following example: <Where>   <And>     <Filter1 />     <Filter2 />   </And>   <Or>     <Filter3 />   </Or> </Where> But instead the correct query would be: <Where>   <Or>     <And>       <Filter1 />       <Filter2 />     </And>     <Filter3 />   </Or> </Where> Notice that the <Filter# /> tags are for explanation purpose only. In order to solve this problem we created a simple component, it has a method that receives the current query (could be an empty query also) and appends the expression you want to that query.     Hello, Im doing a Java application and Im facing some doubts in which concerns performance. I have a PriorityQueue which guarantees me the element removed is the one with greater priority. That PriorityQueue has instances of class Event (which implements Comparable interface). Each Event is associated with a Entity. The size of that priorityqueue could be huge and very frequently I will have to remove events associated to an entity. Right now Im using an iterator to run all the priorityqueue. However Im finding it heavy and I wonder if there are better alternatives to search and remove events associated with an entity "xpto". Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Hi: This is a strange problem I encountered. I have an window application written in c# to do testing. It has a MDI parent form that is hosting a few children forms. One of the forms launch test cripts by creating processes and capture the scripts output to a text box. Another form open serial port and monitoring the status of the device I am working on(like a shell). If I ran both of them together, the output of the script seems only appear in the text box after the test is done. However, If I don't open the serial port form, the output of the script is captured in real time. Does anyone knows what's causing the problem? I notice the onDataReceived even handler for serial port form has a [SAThread] header to it. Will this cause the serial port thread having higher priority than other processes? Thanks in advance.

The target computer is a Core2 Quad desktop running Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit. It does not help to disable Norton 360 on the source computer or Norton Antivirus 2008 on the target computer. The Event Viewer consistently shows the same two VSS-related errors after Norton Ghost starts but before it fails. It makes no difference if the VSS service is started or stopped. The VSS errors do not appear elsewhere in the event log, only after Ghost starts. The MSS event messages, however, are quite common, appearing throughout the log, and they may have nothing to do with the problem.     I have class A and list of A objects. A has a function f that should be executed every X seconds (for the first instance every 1 second, for the seconds instance every 5 seconds, etc.). I have a scheduler class that is responsible to execute the functions at the correct time. What i thought to do is to create a new class, ATime, that will hold ptr to A instance and the time A::f should be executed. The scheduler will hold a min priority queue of Atime. Do you think it is the correct implementation? Should ATime be a nested class of the scheduler?

    Hi All I've just started a new job and noticed that the analysts computers are connected to the network at 100Mbps. The queries we run against the MySQL server can easily be 500MB+ and it seems at times when the servers are under high load the DBAs kill low priority jobs as they are taking too long to run. My question is this... How much of this server time is spent executing the request, and how much time is spent returning the data to the client? Could the query speeds be improved by upgrading the network connections to 1Gbps? Thanks Rob

    Hi, I'm trying to get an overlay in google maps api v3 to appear above all markers. But it seems that the google api always put my overlay with lowest z-index priority. Only solution i've found is to iterate up through the DOM tree and manually set z-index to a higher value. Poor solution.     Hi, I was wondering how to make a url link appear in Bibliography? For example, @misc{libsvm, abstract = {LIBSVM is an implbmentation of Support vector machine (SVM).}, author = {Chang, Chih-Chung}, keywords = {svm}, posted-at = {2010-04-08 00:05:04}, priority = {2}, title = {LIBSVM}, url = "http://www.csie.ntu.edu.tw/~cjlin/libsvm/", year = {2008} } will appear in Bibliography as [2] Chih-Chung Chang. Libsvm, 2008. But I hope the link "http://www.csie.ntu.edu.tw/~cjlin/libsvm/" could appear and the "Libsvm" could be all capital "LIBSVM". Honestly, I have no idea how a link should appear in Bibliography. What I think might be not professional. Please advise me how to put it in a professional way. Thanks and regards!

  • Norton Ghost EBAB03F1: The specified network name is no longer available

    After about 15 minutes, a Norton Ghost 14 backup fails with Error EBAB03F1: The specified network name is no longer available. The source computer is a P4 laptop running Windows XP SP3. The target computer is a Core2 Quad desktop running Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit. It does not help to disable Norton 360 on the source computer or Norton Antivirus 2008 on the target computer. The Event Viewer consistently shows the same two VSS-related errors after Norton Ghost starts but before it fails. It makes no difference if the VSS service is started or stopped. The VSS errors do not appear elsewhere in the event log, only after Ghost starts. The MSS event messages, however, are quite common, appearing throughout the log, and they may have nothing to do with the problem.
