• How to configure cache regions in fluent nhibernate and syscache2

• Use RegEx in Java to extract parameters in between parentheses

  I'm writing a utility to extract the names of header files from JSPs. I have no problem reading the JSPs line by line and finding the lines I need. I am having a problem extracting the specific text needed using regex. After looking at many similar questions I'm hitting a brick wall. An example of the String I'll be matching from within is: <jsp:include page="<%=Pages.getString(\"MY_HEADER\")%>" flush="true"></jsp:include> All I need is MY_HEADER for this example. Any time I have this tag: <%=Pages.getString I need what comes between this: <%=Pages.getString(\" and this: )%> Here is what I have currently (which is not working, I might add) : String currentLine; while ((currentLine = fileReader.readLine()) != null) { Pattern pattern = Pattern.compile("<%=Pages\\.getString\\(\\\\\"([^\\\\]*)"); Matcher matcher = pattern.matcher(currentLine); while(matcher.find()) { System.out.println(matcher.group(1).toString()); }} I need to be able to use the Java RegEx API and regex to extract those header names. Any help on this issue is greatly appreciated. Thanks! EDIT: Resolved this issue, thankfully. The tricky part was, after being given the right regex, it had to be taken into account that the String I was feeding to the regex was always going to have two " / " characters ( (/"MY_HEADER"/) ) that needed to be escaped in the pattern.   I've been working on a little Silverlight utility which calls a Silverlight web service. It works from my dev machine (XPsp2). I've tried publishing it to a 2008 R2 IIS 7.5 server and it doesn't work when trying to contact the web service. So I've tried using the WcfTestClient to connect to the web service. That gave an error. So I turned off CustomErrors and used IE and I get the following. Any idea why? There's no App_Code folder in the app. Failed to map the path '/app42/App_Code/'. • File path for J2ME FileConnection?

  Hi, I'm writing a MIDlet which needs to write file. I'm using FileConnection from JSR-75 to accomplish this. The intention is to have this MIDlet runnning on as much devices as possible (all MIDP 2.0 devices with JSR-75 support, ideally). On several emulators and an HTC Touch Pro2, I can perfectly use the following code to get the root of the filesystem: Enumeration drives = FileSystemRegistry.listRoots(); String root = (String) drives.nextElement(); String path = "file:///" + root; However, on a Nokia S60 5th edition emulator, trying to open a FileConnection to this path throws a java.lang.SecurityException. Apparently S60 devices do not allow connections to the root of the filesystem. I realise I can use something like System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.photos"), but that isn't supported on all devices either. So, my actual question: what is the best approach to get a path to create a FileConnection with, that allows for maximum portability? Thanks. Edit: I suppose I could iterate over all the roots in the Enumeration, and check for a writable one, but that's hardly optimal for two reasons. First, there aren't necessarily any writable roots. Second, this could be the phone memory or a memory card, so the storage method wouldn't be consistent across devices, which is rather ugly.

• ANTLR AST rules fail with RewriteEmptyStreamException

  I have a simple grammar: grammar sample; options { output = AST; } assignment : IDENT ':=' expr ';' ; expr : factor ('*' factor)* ; factor : primary ('+' primary)* ; primary : NUM | '(' expr ')' ; IDENT : ('a'..'z')+ ; NUM : ('0'..'9')+ ; WS : (' '|'\n'|'\t'|'\r')+ {$channel=HIDDEN;} ; Now I want to add some rewrite rules to generate an AST. From what I've read online and in the Language Patterns book, I should be able to modify the grammar like this: assignment : IDENT ':=' expr ';' -> ^(':=' IDENT expr) ; expr : factor ('*' factor)* -> ^('*' factor+) ; factor : primary ('+' primary)* -> ^('+' primary+) ; primary : NUM | '(' expr ')' -> ^(expr) ; But it does not work. Although it compiles fine, when I run the parser I get a RewriteEmptyStreamException error. Here's where things get weird. If I define the pseudo tokens ADD and MULT and use them instead of the tree node literals, it works without error. tokens { ADD; MULT; } expr : factor ('*' factor)* -> ^(MULT factor+) ; factor : primary ('+' primary)* -> ^(ADD primary+) ; Alternatively, if I use the node suffix notation, it also appears to work fine: expr : factor ('*'^ factor)* ; factor : primary ('+'^ primary)* ; Is this discrepancy in behavior a bug?

• jQuery urlencode/decode patch help

  Hi Gang, I'm using this jQuery urlencode and urldecode plugin - very simple and easy to use but it doesn't, in its original form, remove + from the string. The one comment on the home page suggests a patch but I don't know how to implement it. Can anyone help me out? • .NET Remoting Exception not handled Client-Side

  I checked the rest of the remoting questions, and this specific case did not seem to be addressed. I have a .NET Remoting server/client set up. On the server side I have an object with a method that can throw an exception, and a client which will try to call that method. This happens server side. The exception is never marshaled over to the client-side, and I cannot figure out why. All of the questions I have looked at address the issue of an exception being handled client-side, but it isn't the custom exception but a base type. In my case, I can't even get any exception to cross the remoting boundary to the client. Here is a copy of AuthenticationException. It is in the shared library between both server and client. • Linq-to-Sql IIS7 Login failed for user ‘DOMAIN\MACHINENAME$’

  I am encountering unexpected behaviour using Linq-to-sql DataContext. When I run my application locally it works as expected however after deploying to a test server which runs IIS7, I get an error Login failed for user ‘DOMAIN\MACHINENAME$’ when attempting to open objects from the DataContext. This code explains the error, which breaks on the very last line with the error "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Login failed for user". var connStr ="Data Source=server;Initial Catalog=Test;User Id=testuser;Password=password"; //Test 1 var conn1 = new System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection(connStr); var cmdString = "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM Table1"; var cmd = new System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand(cmdString, conn1); conn1.Open(); var count1 = cmd.ExecuteScalar(); conn1.Close(); //Test 2 var conn2 = new System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection(connStr); var context = new TestDataContext(conn2); var count2 = context.Table1s.Count(); The connection string is not even using integrated security, so why is Linq-to-sql trying to connect as a specific user? If I change the server name in the connection string I get a different error so its using atleast part of the connection string, but apparently ignoring the UserId and Password. Very confused.

• Using pinvoke in c# to call sprintf and friends on 64-bit

  I am having an interesting problem with using pinvoke in C# to call _snwprintf. It works for integer types, but not for floating point numbers. This is on 64-bit Windows, it works fine on 32-bit. • Support for nested model and class validation with ASP.NET MVC 2.0

  I'm trying to validate a model containing other objects with validation rules using the System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations attributes was hoping the default MVC implementation would suffice: var obj = js.Deserialize(json, objectInfo.ObjectType); if(!TryValidateModel(obj)) { // Handle failed model validation. } The object is composed of primitive types but also contains other classes which also use DataAnnotications. Like so: public class Entry { [Required] public Person Subscriber { get; set; } [Required] public String Company { get; set; } } public class Person { public String FirstName { get; set;} [Required] public String Surname { get; set; } } The problem is that the ASP.NET MVC validation only goes down 1 level and only evaluates the properties of the top level class, as can be read on digitallycreated.net/Blog/54/deep-inside-asp.net-mvc-2-model-metadata-and-validation. Does anyone know an elegant solution to this? I've tried xVal, but they seem to use a non-recursive pattern (http://blog.stevensanderson.com/2009/01/10/xval-a-validation-framework-for-aspnet-mvc/). Someone must have run into this problem before right? Nesting objects in your model doesn't seem so weird if you're designing a web service.

  Does anybody knows how can component <ice:selectInputDate> be mapped on a java.util.Calendar field, not java.util.Date? I am using from IceFaces version 1.8.2, the component <ice:selectInputDate>. This component requires to be bound with a java.util.Date proeprty. For example, value="#{bean.myDate}", the myDate field must be of type java.util.Date. But I need my date field to be of type java.util.Calendar. Instead, the hacked method getAsString, expects an java.util.Date, provided as parameter (by ice:selectInputDate) and returns the String formatted. • Silverlight4 + C#: Using INotifyPropertyChanged in a UserControl to notify another UserControl is no

  I have several User Controls in a project, and one of them retrieves items from an XML, creates objects of the type "ClassItem" and should notify the other UserControl information about those items. I have created a class for my object (the "model" all items will have): public class ClassItem { public int Id { get; set; } public string Type { get; set; } } I have another class that is used to notify the other User Controls when an object of the type "ClassItem" is created: public class Class2: INotifyPropertyChanged { // Properties public ObservableCollection<ClassItem> ItemsCollection { get; internal set; } // Events public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; // Methods public void ShowItems() { ItemsCollection = new ObservableCollection<ClassItem>(); if (PropertyChanged != null) { PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs("ItemsCollection")); } } } The data comes from an XML file that is parsed in order to create the objects of type ClassItem: void DisplayItems(string xmlContent) { XDocument xmlItems = XDocument.Parse(xmlContent); var items = from item in xmlItems.Descendants("item") select new ClassItem{ Id = (int)item.Element("id"), Type = (string)item.Element("type) }; } If I'm not mistaken, this is supposed to parse the xml and create a ClassItem object for each item it finds in the XML. Hence, each time a new ClassItem object is created, this should fire the Notifications for all the UserControls that are "bind" to the "ItemsCollection" notifications defined in Class2. Yet the code in Class2 doesn't even seem to be run :-( and there are no notifications of course... Am I mistaken in any of the assumptions I've done, or am I missing something? I was trying to be good and use the query method of SQLiteDatabase and pass in the values in the selectArgs parameter to ensure everything got properly escaped, but it wouldn't work. I never got any rows returned (no errors, either). I started getting curious about the SQL that this generated so I did some more poking around and found SQLiteQueryBuilder (and apparently Stack Overflow doesn't handle links with parentheses in them well, so I can't link to the anchor for the buildQuery method), which I assume uses the same logic to generate the SQL statement. I did this: SQLiteQueryBuilder builder = new SQLiteQueryBuilder(); builder.setTables(BarcodeDb.Barcodes.TABLE_NAME); String sql = builder.buildQuery(new String[] { BarcodeDb.Barcodes.ID, BarcodeDb.Barcodes.TIMESTAMP, BarcodeDb.Barcodes.TYPE, BarcodeDb.Barcodes.VALUE }, "? = '?' AND ? = '?'", new String[] { BarcodeDb.Barcodes.VALUE, barcode.getValue(), BarcodeDb.Barcodes.TYPE, barcode.getType()}, null, null, null, null); Log.d(tag, "Query is: " + sql); The SQL that gets logged at this point is: SELECT _id, timestamp, type, value FROM barcodes WHERE (? = '?' AND ? = '?') However, here's what the documentation for SQLiteQueryBuilder.buildQuery says about the selectAgs parameter: You may include ?s in selection, which will be replaced by the values from selectionArgs, in order that they appear in the selection. ...but it isn't working. Something like: soldier.gun.fire(); or soldier.getGun().load(15); So which one is a better design? Hiding the gun object as a private member and access it with getGun() function. Or making it a public member? Or I can encapsulate all these functions would make the implementation harder: soldier.loadGun(15); // calls Gun.load() soldier.fire(); // calls Gun.fire() So which one do you think is the best?

I have some data in a database table stored as a byte array, I convert it to a string and load it into a memorystream and then I want to load that memory stream in the richtextbox. • Cannot connect to a SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services cube after installing SQL Server 2008 SP1.

  I've been developing an application that talks directly to an SSAS 2005 OLAP cube. Note that I also have SQL Server 2008 installed, so the other day I did a Windows Update and decided to include SQL Server 2008 SP1 in my update. After doing that, my SSAS 2005 cube is no longer accessible from my application. I'm able to browse the data just fine within SQL Server 2005 BI Studio Manager, but I'm not able to connect to the cube from my application. Here is my connection string that used to work: Data Source=localhost;Provider=msolap;Initial Catalog=Adventure Works DW Here is the error message I get: Either the user, [Server]/[User], does not have access to the Adventure Works DW database, or the database does not exist. • WPF AutoCompleteBox with ability to add new values to list.

  Hi, I would like to use autocompletebox with a list of values, but also add new values to the list if a user enters one that isn't present. I currently have a string property in my view model called 'Comment'. Currently this is bound to a textbox in the view - user types a comment and the view model is updated. Simple. To save time, my customer would like it to autocomplete from previous values, so the way I thought to do this is something like: ViewModel public string Comment; public ObservableCollection<string> CommentsList { ... } (populate the CommentsList when the viewmodel is created) View <AutoCompleteComboBox ItemsSource="{Binding CommentsList}" SelectedItem="{Binding Comment, Mode=TwoWay/> So when the user selects a value, it saves the value in the Comment property. This works fine if the user selects an item in the list, but if the user types in a new value, the comment property is not updated (it is null because the selected item was not in the list). • StackOverflow in VB.NET SQLite query

  I have an StackOverflowException in one of my DB functions that I don't know how to deal with. I have a SQLite database with one table "tblEmployees" that holds records for each employees (several thousand posts) and usually this function runs without any problem. But sometimes after the the function is called a thousand times it breaks with an StackOverflowException at the line "ReturnTable.Load(reader)" with the message: An unhandled exception of type 'System.StackOverflowException' occurred in System.Data.SQLite.dll If I restart the application it has no problem to continue with the exact same post it last crashed on. I can also make the exactly same DB-call from SQLite Admin at the crash time without no problems. The DB-connection opens when the DB-class object is created and closes on main form Dispose. Should I maybe dispose the mycommand object every time in a finally block? But wouldn't that result in a closed DB-connection?

  I'm using JSF 2.0 and want to fill a selectOneMenu with the values of my Enum. In Seam, to use the values of the Enum, i had to write the following markup (and create a factory that provides the #{genderValues}: <!-- the Seam way --> <h:selectOneMenu id="persongender" value="#{person.gender}"> <s:selectItems var="_gender" value="#{genderValues}"" label="#{_gender.label}"/> <s:convertEnum/> </h:selectOneMenu> The result is that i don't have to declare the Enum values explicitely anymore inside the markup. I know that this is not very easy in JSF <2.0, but is there any new in JSF2 to help with this issue? Or does Weld help here somehow? If there is nothing new in JSF2, what's the easiest way to do it in JSF 1.2? Or can i even integrate the Seam JSF tag and the corresponding classes of Seam to get the same feature in a JavaEE6-App (without the Seam container)?

  Hello, I want to customize the marshalling of dates in JAXB. It's a variant of this already asked question. I would think I would use an XMLAdapter, as this answer questions specifies. But I can't do that exactly, because I'm going the other way around, generating the JAXB beans from an .XSD -- I can't add annotations to the JAXB beans because they are generated code. I've tried calling Marshaller.setAdapter(), but with no luck. final Marshaller marshaller = getJaxbContext().createMarshaller(); marshaller.setSchema(kniSchema); marshaller.setAdapter(new DateAdapter()); ... private static class DateAdapter extends XmlAdapter<String, XMLGregorianCalendar> { @Override public String marshal(XMLGregorianCalendar v) throws Exception { return "hello"; //Just a test to see if it's working } @Override public XMLGregorianCalendar unmarshal(String v) throws Exception { return null; // Don't care about this for now } } Where the relevant part of my generated JAXB bean looks like this: @XmlSchemaType(name = "date") protected XMLGregorianCalendar activeSince; When I do this, what the default date/XMLGregorianCalendar marshalling happens. At first, I thought that my tokenizer class was broken. But after logging all the incoming bytes to the tokenizer, it turns out that the raw bytes in recvb weren't a valid message. I didn't think that corrupted data like this was possible with a tcp data stream. I figured it had to be some type of buffer overflow so I set sock.ReceiveBufferSize = 1024 * 1024 * 8; and the parsing error never, ever occurs in testing (it happens often enough to replicate if I don't change the ReceiveBufferSize). But my question is: why wasn't I seeing an exception or an error state or something if the socket's internal buffer was overflowing before I changed this buffer size?

  (.NET 3.5 SP1, VS 2008, VB.NET, MSSQL Server 2008) I'm writing a small web app to test the Khmer Unicode and Lao Unicode. I have a table that store text in Khmer Unicode with the following structure : [t_id] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL [t_chid] [int] NOT NULL [t_vn] [int] NOT NULL [t_v] [nvarchar](max) NOT NULL I can use Linq to SQL to do CRUD normally. The text display properly on the web page, even though I didn't change the default collation of MSSQL Server 2008. When it comes to search the column [t_v], the page will take a very long time to load and in fact, it loads every row of that column. It never compares with the "key word" criteria that I use for the search.
