  In VS2003, I am trying to find out the particular page where the request is coming from. I want to identify the exact aspx page name. Is there a way to only get the page name or some how strip the page name? Currently I am using the following instruction... string referencepage = HttpContext.Current.Request.UrlReferrer.ToString(); and I get the following result... "http://localhost/MyPage123.aspx?myval1=3333&myval2=4444; I want to get the result back with out any query string parameters and be able to identify the page MyPage123.aspx accurately... How do I do that??

  There is a lot of information about new features and classes in new 4.0 however there are also changes that may affect esixting applications, for example Timespan now implements IFormattable and old string.Format() with invalid options will throw exception instead of calling simple ToString(). However, CLR team provides a nice feature to enable behaviour from previous version with configuration setting - TimeSpan_LegacyFormatMode . CLR Inside Out Access to events inside the class where they are declared using += or -= will lead to call add/remove generated accessors that return void. Some code wan't even compile in 4.0. Chris Burrows Blog CAS is deprecated and to enable it one still need to use special setting in configuration - NetFx40_LegacySecurityPolicy So I wonder what are other changes and is it possible to find at least preliminary list of changes that will or may break existing functionality with release of .NET 4.0 ?

• What is the fastest way to create a checksum for large files in C#

  Hi, I have to sync large files across some machines. The files can be up to 6GB in size. The sync will be done manually every few weeks. I cant take the filename into consideration because they can change anytime. My plan is to create checksums on the destination PC and on the source PC and than copy all files with a checksum, which are not already in the destination, to the destination.   Hi, I'm trying to add cookies to a webbrowser from a cookiecollection. I add them as they should be added but then they are not sent when the request is done. This worked fine in JBoss 3.2.7. Edit: My current workaround for this problem: create a new container configuration in jboss.xml and remove the security interceptor stuff from this configuration use this newly created container configuration for all my session beans that I only use locally (i.e. via local interface).

• rendering JSON in GRAILS with part of the attributes of an object

  Hello, I am trying to build JSON from two fields. Say, I have a list of object(party), and I only need to pass 2 items as JSON pair. def list = getMyList() //it contains 2 party objects partyTo = array { for (i in list) { x partyId: i.id y partyName: i.toString() } } The JSON string is {"partyTo":[ {"partyId":12}, {"partyName":"Ar"}, {"partyId":9}, {"partyName":"Sr"} ] } when I extract it at the client, it is treated as 4 objects. I wanted as 2 objects, with the below format. {"partyTo":[ {"partyId":12 , "partyName":"Ar"}, {"partyId":9 , "partyName":"Sr"} ] } I'm getting 4 objects, probably because I use an array to build JSON. I'm new to groovy and JSON, so not sure about the right syntax combinations. Any help highly appreciated. thanks.

• InvalidCastException when creating an instance using assembly.CreateInstance

  I'm looking for an explanation for the following - I have an assembly I'm loading using Assembly assembly = Assembly.LoadFrom(filename); I then loop on all the types in the assembly, and wish to try and find out if a type implements a particular interface and if so I want an instance of that type, I've tried several things which did not work, but when I fell back to the most basic (and probably inefficient) way, I realised there's something more fundamental I don't understand - foreach (Type t in assembly.GetTypes()) { foreach (Type i in t.GetInterfaces()) { if (i.FullName == pluginInterfaceType.FullName) { object o = assembly.CreateInstance(t.ToString()); IInterface plugin = (IInterface)o; That last line causes an InvalidCastException, despite the fact that the type created definitely implements that interface. Further more - if I use Activator.CreateInstance instead of Assembly.CreateInstance (which I don't want to do), casting to the interface works just fine.

• How to preselect nodes using jsTree jQuery plug-in

  I am using the jsTree jQuery plug-in with its "Checkbox" plug-in and using an async http request to lazy-load each level of the tree. All works great, except that I cannot get the tree to pre-select certain nodes after the first level. I am using the "selected" attribute to provide an array of ID's to preselect. ID's in the top level of the tree are correctly pre-selected. However, ID's in lower levels of the tree are not selected when the level loads. Am I missing something? • Twitter integration with C#.NET applications - NULL Pointer Exception

  Trying to integrate Twitter with ASP.NET application (Code in C#). This is the code I have written for the first sign in to Twitter. When I debug the application, I do get the token response and the response redirect happens appropriately. However, if I host it on IIS and access it, I get a Null Pointer Exception.   I have a Java Enum: public enum Equipment { Hood, Blinkers, ToungTie, CheekPieces, Visor, EyeShield, None;} and a corresponding Postgres enum: CREATE TYPE equipment AS ENUM ('Hood', 'Blinkers', 'ToungTie', 'CheekPieces', 'Visor', 'EyeShield', 'None'); Within my database I have a table which has a column containing an array of "equipment" items: CREATE TABLE "Entry" ( id bigint NOT NULL DEFAULT nextval('seq'::regclass), "date" character(10) NOT NULL, equipment equipment[] ); And finally when I am running my application I have an array of the "Equipment" enums which I want to persist to the database using a Prepared Statement, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it. • DataReader - hardcode ordinals?

  When returning data from a DataReader I would typically use the ordinal reference on the DataReader to grab the relevant column: if (dr.HasRows) Console.WriteLine(dr[0].ToString()); (OR dr.GetString(0); OR (string)dr[0];)... I have always done this because I was advised at an early stage that using dr["ColumnName"] or a more elegant way of indexing causes a performance hit. However, whilst everything is becoming increasingly strongly-typed I feel more uncomfortable with this. I'm also aware that the above does not check for DBNull. How should data be returned from a DataReader?

  Gridview has many columns and a Delete button as well. "Disabled" : "Enabled" %>' OnClientClick="return confirm('Are you sure you want to take this action?');" runat="server"></asp:LinkButton> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> Now associated SQLDataSource's Delete command's stored procedure is expecting two parameters. One is going from DataKeyNames (RowID), other one i wanna pass is the Text of btnDelete (True or False). How can i achieve it?
