  • Configuring Hibernate logging using Log4j XML config file?

    I haven't been able to find any documentation on how to configure Hibernate's logging using the XML style configuration file for Log4j. Is this even possible or do I have use a properties style configuration file to control Hibernate's logging? If anyone has any information or links to documentation it would appreciated. EDIT: Just to clarify, I am looking for example of the actual XML syntax to control Hibernate. I don't know why but I feel that it would look better if we had separate class (Spring bean with singleton scope) which will be responsible for sending email. But I can't find any arguments which can prove my position. So, are there any pros (or cons) in using DI in this (rather general) situation?

All i've seen is the implementation that there is one global static service which holds a reference to the Unity container, which registers all interface/class combinations and every class asks that object: give me an implementation for Ithis or IThat. Frequently i see a response that this pattern is not good because it leads to a dependency from ALL classes to this service. But what i don't see often, is: what is the alternative way? Michel

    Hi I have just started using IntelliJ again and have version 9. I just installed the Mecurial plugin and now the ide won't start anymore. Has an error of Fatal error initializing class com.intellij.openapi.actionSystem.ActionManager: java.lang.VerifyError: class com.dcx.hg.MercurialVcs overrides final method getName.()Ljava/lang/String; I now know that I should be using the plugin hg4idea Is there a way I can remove this plugin so I can start the ide, I am sure there must be..   • Floats will not align, stay staggered, can't find a solution?

    What I am trying to do is build a multi column layout. The main two sections are divided 2/3 to 1/3 and inside the 2/3 column is divided 2/3 1/3 as well. My problem is that my floats will not align nicely with each other, choosing instead to stagger like stairs. I have tried declaring the widths smaller, floating them individually, including in the float sections display:block,inline, or inline-block and nothing seems to be working. I am getting really frustrated and would appreciate any help!   • .net clipboard metadata (or whatever skype quotations use)

    Is it possible to use the Clipboard class to grab all the data from the clipboard, like full skype quotes? They use some kind of metadata I think, which is how it knows when something is a quote or not. How can I access that from the Clipboard class?
