  • css + first load bug + min-height

    - by Henry
    We forked an editor for upcoming release of our CMS. See: http://tinyurl.com/ylbtns2 The editor uses the css of the current template and loads an additional fix.css (inside the iframe) to override some rules: * { background-image: none !important; min-height: 0px !important; } #breadcrumbs, #content .sidebar, #footer, #header, #search_form { display: none; } #content { margin: 0px; width: 100%; } The problem: on first load the "min-height: 0px !important;" seems not to work - on second load the height of the editor iframe is 100px like it should be. Other rules like no background (fix.css) are working on first load and get overridden.

  • How to limit fields in django-admin depending on user?

    - by minder
    I suppose similar problem would have been discussed here, but I couldn't find it. Let's suppose I have an Editor and a Supervisor. I want the Editor to be able to add new content (eg. a news post) but before publication it has to be acknowledged by Supervisor. When Editor lists all items, I want to set some fields on the models (like an 'ack' field) as read-only (so he could know what had been ack'ed and what's still waiting approval) but the Supervisor should be able to change everything (list_editable would be perfect) What are the possible solutions to this problem?

  • Problem with jQuery and ASP.Net MVC 2

    - by robert_d
    I have a problem with jQuery, here is how my web app works Search.aspx web page which contains a form and jQuery script posts data to Search() action in Home controller after user clicks button1 button. Search.aspx: <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<GLSChecker.Models.WebGLSQuery>" %> <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="TitleContent" runat="server"> Title </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <h2>Search</h2> <% Html.EnableClientValidation(); %> <% using (Html.BeginForm()) {%> <fieldset> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.Url) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.Url, new { size = "50" } ) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.Url) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.Location) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.Location, new { size = "50" } ) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.Location) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.KeywordLines) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextAreaFor(model => model.KeywordLines, 10, 60, null)%> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.KeywordLines)%> </div> <p> <input id ="button1" type="submit" value="Search" /> </p> </fieldset> <% } %> <script src="../../Scripts/jquery-1.4.1.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery("#button1").click(function (e) { window.setInterval(refreshResult, 5000); }); function refreshResult() { jQuery("#divResult").load("/Home/Refresh"); } </script> <div id="divResult"> </div> </asp:Content> [HttpPost] public ActionResult Search(WebGLSQuery queryToCreate) { if (!ModelState.IsValid) return View("Search"); queryToCreate.Remote_Address = HttpContext.Request.ServerVariables["REMOTE_ADDR"]; Session["Result"] = null; SearchKeywordLines(queryToCreate); Thread.Sleep(15000); return View("Search"); }//Search() After button1 button is clicked the above script from Search.aspx web page runs. Search() action in controller runs for longer period of time. I simulate this in testing by putting Thread.Sleep(15000); in Search()action. 5 sec. after Submit button was pressed, the above jQuery script calls Refresh() action in Home controller. public ActionResult Refresh() { ViewData["Result"] = DateTime.Now; return PartialView(); } Refresh() renders this partial <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl" % <%= ViewData["Result"] % The problem is that in Internet Explorer 8 there is only one request to /Home/Refresh; in Firefox 3.6.3 all requests to /Home/Refresh are made but nothing is displayed on the web page. Another problem with Firefox is that requests to /Home/Refresh are made every second not every 5 seconds. I noticed that after I clear Firefox cache the script works well first time button1 is pressed, but after that it doesn't work. I would be grateful for helpful suggestions.

  • Eclipse 3.5: Implementing my own context menu for a MultipageEditorPart --> no viewer involved

    - by Patrick
    Hello! :-) In my current RCP-project i use a MultipageEditorPart. It has various pages, with simple SWT composites on it. The composites contain some Text and Combo elements. When the user right clicks onto the editor page, I want a context menu to open. This menu holds a command for creating a new editor page, with a composite on it. The command is already working, but I'm quite clueless about how to implement the context menu for the editor. Can someone help with this?

  • CKEDITOR, is return some strange characters

    - by nobosh
    With CKEDITOR, when I use JS to get the contents of the Text Editor, I'm getting back: <p>\u000a\u0009&nbsp;ad adad ad asd</p>\u000a When I should have gotten: <p>ad adad ad asd</p> Any idea what's going on here? The only difference that could be the cause is that I'm dynamically created textareas on load, and using a class to find the editor: $('.guideItem-textarea').each(function(index, value){ // ID of the textarea var targeteditor = $(this).attr('id'); var targeteditorID = $(this).attr('id').replace('noteguide',''); // Contents in the editor textareacontents = CKEDITOR.instances[targeteditor].getData(); }); Any ideas?

  • WxPython multiple grid instances

    - by randomPythonHacker
    Does anybody know how I can get multiple instances of the same grid to display on one frame? Whenever I create more than 1 instance of the same object, the display of the original grid widget completely collapses and I'm left unable to do anything with it. For reference, here's the code: import wx import wx.grid as gridlib class levelGrid(gridlib.Grid): def __init__(self, parent, rows, columns): gridlib.Grid.__init__(self, parent, -1) self.moveTo = None self.CreateGrid(rows, columns) self.SetDefaultColSize(32) self.SetDefaultRowSize(32) self.SetColLabelSize(0) self.SetRowLabelSize(0) self.SetDefaultCellBackgroundColour(wx.BLACK) self.EnableDragGridSize(False) class mainFrame(wx.Frame): def __init__(self, parent, id, title): wx.Frame.__init__(self, parent, id, title, size=(768, 576)) editor = levelGrid(self, 25, 25) panel1 = wx.Panel(editor, -1) #vbox = wx.BoxSizer(wx.VERTICAL) #vbox.Add(editor, 1, wx.EXPAND | wx.ALL, 5) #selector = levelGrid(self, 1, 25) #vbox.Add(selector, 1, wx.EXPAND |wx.BOTTOM, 5) self.Centre() self.Show(True) app = wx.App() mainFrame(None, -1, "SLAE") app.MainLoop()

  • Xwiki Create virtual wiki - problem adding a class

    - by andihahn
    Hi, I'm trying to create a virtual wiki but I already struggle with In your Class Editor, create a new class called "XWikiServerClass" Further reading in the DevGuide / DataModel shows that I'm not alone. I understand the words saying but I don't get the how-to as there is no option in the class-editior of creating new classes. Navigating to class editor shows an info box No class is defined in this wiki document. You can create one by adding properties from the panel on your right, or you can choose another class to edit from the list below. Ok, I added 'XWikiServerClass' and would have expected to be able to add a type class but that's not possible. I've tried a few properties but nothing shows up as a class in class editor.

  • Wrong intrepretation of some columns in ireport

    - by Purushotham
    Hi, I got a strange problem. I am using iReport 3.7.1 tool to create some reports. The Query Editor has one query. It shows all the data types of the fields in that query exactly same as the data types shown when I execute it using SQLYOG editor. The problem is here: One field data type is mismatched. I don't know the reason. SQLYOG says it is INTEGER whereas iReport Query Editor says its a long value. BTW The value that assigned to that filed is zero. Can anyone help ? I want to zero-in on this issue.

  • ASP.NET MVC2 - usage of LINQ-generated class (validation problem)

    - by ile
    There are few things not clear to me about ASP.NET MV2. In database I have table Contacts with several fields, and there is an additional field XmlFields of which type is xml. In that field are stored additional description fields. There are 4 classes: Contact class which corresponds to Contact table and is defined by default when creating LINQ classes ContactListView class which inherits Contact class and has some additional properties ContactXmlView class that contains fields from XmlFields field ContactDetailsView class which merges ContactListView and ContactXmlView into one class and this one is used to display data in view pages ContactListView class has re-defined some properties from Contact class (so that I can add [Required] filter used for validation) - but I get warning message: 'ObjectTest.Models.Contacts.ContactListView.FirstName' hides inherited member 'SA.Model.Contact.FirstName'. Use the new keyword if hiding was intended. ContactDetailsView class is also used in a form when creating new contact and adding it to database. I am not sure if this is correct way, and the warning message confuses me a bit. Any advise about this? Thanks, Ile EDIT According to Jakob's instructions I tried it from scratch: [MetadataType(typeof(Person_Validation))] public partial class Person { } public class Person_Validation { [Required] string FirstName { get; set; } [Required] string LastName { get; set; } [Required] int Age { get; set; } } In Controller I have this: [HttpPost] public ActionResult Create(Person person, FormCollection collection) { if (ModelState.IsValid) { try { personRepository.Add(person); personRepository.Save(); } catch { return View(person); } } return RedirectToAction("Index"); } View: <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<Validate.Models.Person>" %> <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="TitleContent" runat="server"> Create </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <h2>Create</h2> <% using (Html.BeginForm()) {%> <%= Html.ValidationSummary(true) %> <fieldset> <legend>Fields</legend> <div class="editor-label"> <%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.FirstName) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.FirstName) %> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.FirstName) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.LastName) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.LastName) %> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.LastName) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.Age) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.Age) %> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.Age) %> </div> <p> <input type="submit" value="Create" /> </p> </fieldset> <% } %> <div> <%= Html.ActionLink("Back to List", "Index") %> </div> </asp:Content> When posting new person with no values, nothing happens (page is just reloaded). When posting with some values, person is added to db. I have no idea what am I doing wrong.

  • Modal forms get in the way of processing

    - by Botax
    I’m working on an interface in VB6 to interact with a sound editor to automate certain tasks mainly using the editor’s object handles and activating them through SendMessage/PostMessage. In general it works OK, except that the editor has some dialog boxes that open in modal mode and freeze everything on the interface, including the timers. Is there a practical way to get these dialog boxes to open modeless or to interact with them from the interface after they pop up? I tried an MDI form, but it also freezes along with everything else. The only way to override the modal mode of these boxes is to launch an independent applet beforehand to address the dialog boxes with a timer, but the process is somewhat cumbersome. All I need to do with the dialog boxes is click the OK button or hit the return key.

  • Three.js Collada import animation not working

    - by Peter Vasilev
    I've been trying to export a Collada animated model to three js. Here is the model: http://bayesianconspiracy.com/files/model.dae It is imported properly(I can see the model) but I can't get it to animate. I've been using the two Collada examples that come with Three js. I've tried just replacing the path with the path to my model but it doesn't work. I've also tried tweaking some stuff but to no avail. When the model is loaded I've checked the 'object.animations' object which seems to be loaded fine(can't tell for sure but there is lots of stuff in it). I've also tried the Three.js editor: http://threejs.org/editor/ which loads the model properly again but I can't play the animation : ( I am using Three JS r62 and Blender 2.68. Any help appreciated!!

  • How to prevent screen locking when lid is closed?

    - by Joe Casadonte
    I have Ubuntu 11.10 with Gnome 3 (no Unity), gnome-screen-saver has been removed and replaced with xscreensaver. The screensaver stuff all works fine -- no complaints there. When I close my laptop lid, even for a second, the screen locks (and the dialog box asking for my password is xscreensaver's). I'd like for this not to happen... Things I've tried/looked at already: xscreensaver settings - the "Lock Screen After" checkbox is not checked (though I've also tried it checked and set to 720 minutes) gconf-editor - apps -> gnome-screensaver -> lock_enabled is not checked System Settings - Power - "When the lid is closed" is set to "Do nothing" for both battery and A/C System Settings - Screen - Lock is "off" gconf-editor - apps -> gnome-power-manager -> buttons -> lid_ac && lid_battery are both set to "nothing" dconf-editor - apps -> org -> gnome -> desktop -> screensaver -> lock_enabled is not checked Output from: gsettings list-recursively org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power: org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power active true org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power button-hibernate 'hibernate' org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power button-power 'suspend' org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power button-sleep 'suspend' org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power button-suspend 'suspend' org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power critical-battery-action 'hibernate' org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power idle-brightness 30 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power idle-dim-ac false org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power idle-dim-battery true org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power idle-dim-time 10 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power lid-close-ac-action 'nothing' org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power lid-close-battery-action 'nothing' org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power notify-perhaps-recall true org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power percentage-action 2 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power percentage-critical 3 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power percentage-low 10 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power priority 1 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-display-ac 600 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-display-battery 600 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-inactive-ac false org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-inactive-ac-timeout 0 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-inactive-ac-type 'suspend' org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-inactive-battery true org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-inactive-battery-timeout 0 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-inactive-battery-type 'suspend' org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power time-action 120 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power time-critical 300 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power time-low 1200 org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power use-time-for-policy true gnome-settings-daemon is running: <~> $ ps -ef | grep gnome-settings-daemon 1000 1719 1645 0 19:37 ? 00:00:01 /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gnome-settings-daemon 1000 1726 1 0 19:37 ? 00:00:00 /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gsd-printer 1000 1774 1645 0 19:37 ? 00:00:00 /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gnome-fallback-mount-helper Anything else I can check?   • SnagIt Live Writer Plug-in Updated

    - by Rick Strahl
    Ah, I love SnagIt from TechSmith and I use the heck out of it almost every day. So no surprise that I've decided some time ago to integrate SnagIt into a few applications that require screen shots extensively. It's been a while since I've posted an update to my small SnagIt Windows Live Writer plug-in. There have been a few nagging issues that have crept up with recent changes in the way SnagIt handles captures in recent versions and they have been addressed in this update of SnagIt. Personally I love SnagIt and use it extensively mostly for blogging, but also for writing documentation and articles etc. While there are many other (and also free) tools out there to do basic screen captures, SnagIt continues to be the most convenient tool for me with its nice built in capture and effects editor that makes creating professional looking captures childishly simple. And maybe even more importantly: SnagIt has a COM interface that can be automated and  makes it super easy to embed into other applications. I've built plugins for SnagIt as well as for one of my company's own tools, Html Help Builder. If you use the Windows Live Writer offline WebLog Editor to write blog posts and have a copy of SnagIt it's probably worth your while to check this out if you haven't already. In case you haven't, this plugin integrates SnagIt with Live Writer so you can easily capture and edit content and embed it into a post. Captures are shown in the SnagIt Preview editor where you can edit the image and apply image markup or effects, before selecting Finish (or Cancel). The final image can then be pasted directly into your Live Writer post. When installed the SnagIt plug-in shows up on the PlugIn list or in the Plug-Ins toolbar shortcut: Once you select the Plug in you get the capture window that allows you to customize the capture process which includes most of the useful SnagIt capture options: Once you're done capturing the image shows up in the SnagIt Image Editor and you can crop, mark up and apply effects. When done you click the Finish button and the image is embedded right into your blog post. Easy - how do you think the images in this blog entry got in here? The beauty of SnagIt is that it's all easily integrated - Capturing, editing and embedding, it only takes a few seconds to do it all especially if you save image effect presets in SnagIt. What's updated The main issue addressed in this update has to do with the plug-in updates the Live Writer window. When a capture starts Live Writer gets minimized to get out of the way to let you pick your capture source. When the capture is complete and the image has been embedded Live Writer is activated once again. Recent versions of SnagIt however had changed the Window positioning of SnagIt so that Live Writer ended up popping up back behind the SnagIt window which was pretty annoying. This update pushes Live Writer back to the top of the window stack using some delaying tactics in the code. There have also been a few small changes to the way the code interacts with the COM object which is more reliable if a capture fails or SnagIt blows up or is locked because it's already in a capture outside of the automation interface. Source Code SnagIt Automation is something I actually use a lot. As mentioned I've integrated this automation into Live Writer as well as my documentation tool Html Help Builder, which I use just about daily. The SnagIt integration has a similar interface in that application and provides similar functionality. It's quite useful to integrate SnagIt into other applications. Because it's quite useful to embed SnagIt into other apps there's source code that you can download and embed into your own applications. The code includes both the dialog class that is automated from Live Writer, as well as the basic capture component that captures images to a disk file. Resources Download the SnagIt Capture Plug-in Installer An MSI installer that you can run that will install the plug-in into Live Writer's PlugIns directory. Source Code to the SnagIt Capture Plug-in Contains the plug-in assembly, as well as the source code to the plug-in and the setup project.© Rick Strahl, West Wind Technologies, 2005-2011Posted in Live Writer  WebLog   Tweet (function() { var po = document.createElement('script'); po.type = 'text/javascript'; po.async = true; po.src = 'https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(po, s); })();

  • How do I force ode45 to take steps of exactly 0.01 on the T axis?

    - by Gravitas
    I'm using Matlab to solve a differential equation. I want to force ode45 to take constant steps, so it always increments 0.01 on the T axis while solving the equation. How do I do this? ode45 is consistently taking optimized, random steps, and I can't seem to work out how to make it take consistent, small steps of 0.01. Here is the code: options= odeset('Reltol',0.001,'Stats','on'); %figure(1); %clf; init=[xo yo zo]'; tspan=[to tf]; %tspan = t0:0.01:tf; [T,Y]=ode45(name,tspan,init,options);

  • SnagIt Live Writer Plug-in updated

    - by Rick Strahl
    I've updated my free SnagIt Live Writer plug-in again as there have been a few issues with the new release of SnagIt 11. It appears that TechSmith has trimmed the COM object and removed a bunch of redundant functionality which has broken the older plug-in. I also updated the layout and added SnagIt's latest icons to the form. Finally I've moved the source code to Github for easier browsing and downloading for anybody interested and easier updating for me. This plug-in is not new - I created it a number of years back, but I use the hell out it both for my blogging and for a few internal apps that with MetaWebLogApi to update online content. The plug-in makes it super easy to add captured image content directly into a post and upload it to the server. What does it do? Once installed the plug-in shows up in the list of plug-ins. When you click it launches a SnagIt Capture Dialog: Typically you set the capture settings once, and then save your settings. After that a single click or ENTER press gets you off capturing. If you choose the Show in SnagIt preview window option, the image you capture is is displayed in the preview editor to mark up images, which is one of SnagIt's great strengths IMHO. The image editor has a bunch of really nice effects for framing and marking up and highlighting of images that is really sweet. Here's a capture from a previous image in the SnagIt editor where I applied the saw tooth cutout effect: Images are saved to disk and can optionally be deleted immediately, since Live Writer creates copies of original images in its own folders before uploading the files. No need to keep the originals around typically. The plug-in works with SnagIt Versions 7 and later. It's a simple thing of course - nothing magic here, but incredibly useful at least to me. If you're using Live Writer and you own a copy of SnagIt do yourself a favor and grab this and install it as a plug-in. • Team Leaders & Authors - Manage and Report Workflow using "Print an Outline" in UPK

    - by [email protected]
    Did you know you can "print an outline?" You can print any outline or portion of an outline. Why might you want to "print an outline" in UPK... Have you ever wondered how many topics you have recorded, how many of your topics are ready for review, or even better, how many topics are complete! Do you need to report your project status to management? Maybe you just like to have a copy of your outline to refer to during development. Included in this output is the outline structure as well as the layout defined in the Details View of the Outline Editor. To print an outline, you must open either a module or section in the Outline Editor. A set of default data columns is automatically included in the output; however, you can configure which columns you want to appear in the report by switching to the Details view and customizing the columns. (To learn more about customizing your columns refer to the Add and Remove Columns section of the Content Development.pdf guide) To print an outline from the Outline Editor: 1. Open a module or section document in the Outline Editor. 2. Expand the documents to display the details that you want included in the report. 3. On the File menu, choose Print and use the toolbar icons to print, view, or save the report to a file. Personally, I opt to save my outline in Microsoft Excel. Using the delivered features of Microsoft Excel you can add columns of information, such as development notes, to your outline or you can graph and chart your Project status. As mentioned above you can configure what columns you want to appear in the outline. When utilizing the Print an Outline feature in conjunction with the Managing Workflow features of the UPK Multi-user instance you as a Team Lead or Author can better report project status. Read more about Managing Workflow below. Managing Workflow: The Properties toolpane contains special properties that allow authors to track document status or State as well as assign Document Ownership. Assign Content State The State property is an editable property for communicating the status of a document. This is particularly helpful when collaborating with other authors in a development team. Authors can assign a state to documents from the master list defined by the administrator. The default list of States includes (blank), Not Started, Draft, In Review, and Final. Administrators can customize the list by adding, deleting or renaming the values. To assign a State value to a document: 1. Make sure you are working online. 2. Display the Properties toolpane. 3. Select the document(s) to which you want to assign a state. Note: You can select multiple documents using the standard Windows selection keys (CTRL+click and SHIFT+click). 4. In the Workflow category, click in the State cell. 5. Select a value from the list. Assign Document Ownership In many enterprises, multiple authors often work together developing content in a team environment. Team leaders typically handle large projects by assigning specific development responsibilities to authors. The Owner property allows team leaders and authors to assign documents to themselves and other authors to track who is responsible for a specific document. You view and change document assignments for a document using the Owner property in the Properties toolpane. To assign a document owner: 1. Make sure you are working online. 2. On the View menu, choose Properties. 3. Select the document(s) to which you want to assign document responsibility. Note: You can select multiple documents using the standard Windows selection keys (CTRL+click and SHIFT+click). 4. In the Workflow category, click in the Owner cell. 5. Select a name from the list. Is anyone out there already using this feature? Share your ideas with the group.
