• plotting multiple google maps to page

  I'm trying to append more than one Google Map to a page. But it seems like I'm having some trouble. I tried to append it to all of the id's in other ways but with the same results. So what would you suggest me to do to make it work as I would expect it, append the map to each of the id's ?

• Pagination links do not work properly - incorrect PHP function??

  Hi everyone, I am still trying to figure out how to fix my pagination script to work properly. the problem I am having is when I click any of the pagination number links to go the next page, the new content does not load. literally nothing happens and when looking at the console in Firebug, nothing is sent or loaded. I have on the main page 3 links to filter the content and display it. When any of these links are clicked the results are loaded and displayed along with the associated pagination numbers for that specific content. I believe the problem is coming from the function(generate_pagination.php (seen below)). • Windows opaque UserControl not refreshing any graphical changes made on it

  I have created a Windows UserControl. It actually paints a Grid (i.e. vertical and horizontal lines) using Graphics. User can change each cell height and width, and according to that Grid is refreshed. Overriding the OnPaint event I have created the grid. I used SetStyle(ControlStyles.Opaque, true) to make it transparent. I used this control on a form and from there I change the values of the cell height and width but due to Opaque the new grid is overlapping on the previous one and making it clumsy. How do I resolve this? • Encoding GBK2312 Condundrum

  I am an amateur coder and I have a small problem. My goal is to have one text input with two buttons. The first button uses a bit of Javascript called SundayMorning to translate the text (to Chinese) The second button submits the text to a URL. The URl requires that Chinese text be encoded it in GBK2312 character set. I have duct taped together various found code to the result I have now. Due to the finicky behavior of the SundayMorning Javascript, my solution is to have two input boxes, the second of which I will hide. Right now, this doesn't work: I am unable to encode the Chinese in GBK2312, no matter what I try. BONUS CONUNDRUM: The second box copies my input letter by letter as I type, but does not copy the Chinese translation that the Javascript returns. Sorry for my janky amateur code. • PHP Form Automatic Submission

  I need to create a PHP script that runs around the clock and re-submits a form without actually loading the form, just sending the same request over and over. I used a program called WireShark to record my packets and play them back using a packet player. This took two hours of troubleshooting and configuring. When everything finally worked, it turns out the end result was a dead end. The packets being sent did not affect anything. • Setting custom UITableViewCells height

  I am using a custum UITableViewCell which has some labels, buttons and imageviews to be displayed. There is one label in the cell whose text is a NSString object and the length of string could be variable. Due to this, I cannot set a constant height to the cell in the UITableViews: heightForCellAtIndex method. The cell's height depends on the labels height which can be determined using the NSStrings sizeWithFont method. I tried using it, but it looks like I'm going wrong somewhere. How can it be fixed?   I've registered xdebug in php.ini (as per http://xdebug.org/docs/install) but it's not showing up when i run "php -m" or when i get a test page to run "phpinfo()". • Truncate text to fit table cell without wrapping using css or jquery

  I want the text in one of the columns of a table to not wrap, but to just truncate so that it fits within the current size of the table cell. I don't want the table cell to change size, as I need the table to be exactly 100% the width of the container. This is because the table with 100% width is inside of a positioned div with overflow: auto (it's actually inside of a jquery UI.Layout panel). I tried both overflow: hidden and the text still wrapped. • How do I work around an HTML Table rendering bug in IE 7?

  I have a table. Some cells span multiple columns. Some cells span multiple rows and columns. But one row (which spans all columns but the rightmost one) creates an artifact. Part of the text in the cell is erroneously repeated left justified on a new row just below the table. I'm baffled. I tried rendering with and without "table-layout: fixed;". Same result. When I originally composed the design using just HTML and CSS, it looked great. But then I worked it into a page and had to add more columns to my master table the right to hold buttons. These buttons are in three groups, each having their own div to control floating and rewrapping when the window gets narrower. One div has another table inside it that groups a single row of buttons. Thus I have table inside div inside td inside outer table. I would prefer a simpler design, but how? This is what I want to have: ................................................................................... . . . . Four rows of data . Three groups of buttons that can reflow . . With several columns . if window gets narrower . . meticulously layed out, . . . That should not resize . . . when window gets narrower . . ................................................................................... . One more row of data spanning the whole screen which stays below the buttons . ................................................................................... What I was doing was putting the three divs with the buttons in the upper right in a single cell that spanned four rows. What other opportunities does CSS offer? The buttons are not allowed to overlap the data on the left or go past the data line below. The original design had the divs with the buttons NOT in a table with the data, but when the window gets narrow, some of the buttons flow such that they go underneath the data, which looks bad. I would post actual HTML, except it is generated by ASP, huge, with lots of CSS styling, and the feature that lets me view the final HTML is not working at the moment. • Cannot get UISearchBar Scope Bar to appear in Toolbar on iPad

  This is really causing me fits. I put a toolbar on the IUView on the iPad. I added the following: Search Bar (not Search Bar and Search Display) to the toolbar. I set the options to be as follows: Show Cancel Button, Show Scope Bar, Scope Button Titles are: "Title1" and "Title2" (with Title2's radio button selected). Opaque, Clear Context and Auto Resize are checked. I hooked up the delegate of Search Bar to the "File's Owner" and linked it to IBOutlet theSearchBar.   Hello. How do I make sure that the textview is shown and the keyboard is not obscuring the textview, while in landscape. Using UICatalog I created a TextViewController which works. In it there are two methods for calling the keyboard and making sure that textView is positioned above the keyboard. his just works great in Portrait mode. I got the Landscape mode working, but on the textView is still being put to the top of the iPhone to compensate for the keyboard in portrait mode. I changed the methods for showing the keyboards. • pyQt4: QWidget subclass not responding to new setStyleSheet() background colour

  I am having an issue with PyQt4. I want to create a new widget within a window, and I want this widget to have a custom color. When i create a subclass of the QWidget class, and instantiate it, I am not able to change its background color through the setStyleSheet() function. When I instantiate a new QWidget object, I have no problems in changing its background color. But i dont want an ordinary QWidget object.I want to create my own subclass of QWidget. When i create a subclass of a QPushButton, I am also able to change its background color using the setStyleSheet() function. There are no error messages or warnings in the console window, it just refuses to work properly without any indication as to why. So what i would like to know is why is it that i can change the background color of a widget if i simply create a QWidget object, or a subclass of QPushButton, but not when i create a subclass of QWidget. And how can i therefore change the background color of an object that is a subclass of QWidget? Is it maybe something specific to the version of python or PyQt that i am using? Is it a bug in the library? or some flaw in the way that i am writing my code? I am using python 2.6.4 and PyQt4 Below is an example of the code that leads me to trouble. There are three widgets within the window one below the other. The parent widget is set with background color of green. • WPF - Redrawing a Context Menu when Items change?

  I have a ItemsControl in a ScrollViewer, and when the items exceed the width of the ScrollViewer they are put into a ContextMenu and shown as a DropDown instead. My problem is that when the Context Menu is first loaded, it saves the saves the size of the Menu and does not redraw when more commands get added/removed. For example, a panel has 3 commands. 1 is visible and 2 are in the Menu. Viewing the menu shows the 2 commands and draws the control, but then if you resize the panel so 2 are visible and only 1 command is in the menu, it doesn't redraw the menu to eliminate that second menu item. Or even worse, if you shrink the panel so that no commands are shown and all 3 are in the Menu, it will only show the top 2.   I'm trying to debug a file upload / download issue I'm having. I've got a Silverlight file uploader, and to transmit the files I make use of the HttpWebRequest class. So I create a connection to my file upload handler on the server and begin transmitting. While a file uploads I keep track of total bytes written to the RequestStream so I can figure out a percentage. Now working at home I've got a rather slow connection, and I think Silverlight, or the browser, is lying to me. It seems that my upload progress logic is inaccurate. When I do multiple file uploads (24 images of 3-6mb big in my testing), the logic reports the files finish uploading but I believe that it only reflects the progress of written bytes to the RequestStream, not the actual amount of bytes uploaded. What is the most accurate way to measure upload progress.
