  • how to find maximum frequent item sets from large transactional data file

    - by ANIL MANE
Hi, I have the input file contains large amount of transactions like Transaction ID Items T1 Bread, milk, coffee, juice T2 Juice, milk, coffee T3 Bread, juice T4 Coffee, milk T5 Bread, Milk T6 Coffee, Bread T7 Coffee, Bread, Juice T8 Bread, Milk, Juice T9 Milk, Bread, Coffee, T10 Bread T11 Milk T12 Milk, Coffee, Bread, Juice i want the occurrence of every unique item like Item Name Count Bread 9 Milk 8 Coffee 7 Juice 6 and from that i want an a fp-tree now by traversing this tree i want the maximal frequent itemsets as follows The basic idea of method is to dispose nodes in each “layer” from bottom to up. The concept of “layer” is different to the common concept of layer in a tree. Nodes in a “layer” mean the nodes correspond to the same item and be in a linked list from the “Head Table”. For nodes in a “layer” NBN method will be used to dispose the nodes from left to right along the linked list. To use NBN method, two extra fields will be added to each node in the ordered FP-Tree. The field tag of node N stores the information of whether N is maximal frequent itemset, and the field count’ stores the support count information in the nodes at left. In Figure, the first node to be disposed is “juice: 2”. If the min_sup is equal to or less than 2 then “bread, milk, coffee, juice” is a maximal frequent itemset. Firstly output juice:2 and set the field tag of “coffee:3” as “false” (the field tag of each node is “true” initially ). Next check whether the right four itemsets juice:1 be the subset of juice:2. If the itemset one node “juice:1” corresponding to is the subset of juice:2 set the field tag of the node “false”. In the following process when the field tag of the disposed node is FALSE we can omit the node after the same tagging. If the min_sup is more than 2 then check whether the right four juice:1 is the subset of juice:2. If the itemset one node “juice:1” corresponding to is the subset of juice:2 then set the field count’ of the node with the sum of the former count’ and 2 After all the nodes “juice” disposed ,begin to dispose the node “coffee:3”. Any suggestions or available source code, welcome. thanks in advance

  • Scriptaculous Drag: How do I offset the dragging element?

    - by Angus Croll
This is an age old problem - but now I'm using scriptaculous its come back to haunt me. When dragging a tree node over other tree nodes I want mouseover to fire for each node. So I want to position the dragging thing so that its top-left is slightly offset from the mousepointer I could reposition constantly in the onDrag handler but this is jerky and slow can anyone help? - thanks

  • Bash script to replace spaces in file names

    - by armandino
    Can anyone recommend a safe solution to recursively replace spaces with underscores in file and directory names starting from a given root directory? For example, $ tree . |-- a dir | `-- file with spaces.txt `-- b dir |-- another file with spaces.txt `-- yet another file with spaces.pdf becomes $ tree . |-- a_dir | `-- file_with_spaces.txt `-- b_dir |-- another_file_with_spaces.txt `-- yet_another_file_with_spaces.pdf

  • linked list elements gone?

    - by Hristo
I create a linked list dynamically and initialize the first node in main(), and I add to the list every time I spawn a worker process. Before the worker process exits, I print the list. Also, I print the list inside my sigchld signal handler. in main(): head = NULL; tail = NULL; // linked list to keep track of worker process dll_node_t *node; node = (dll_node_t *) malloc(sizeof(dll_node_t)); // initialize list, allocate memory append_node(node); node->pid = mainPID; // the first node is the MAIN process node->type = MAIN; in a fork()'d process: // add to list dll_node_t *node; node = (dll_node_t *) malloc(sizeof(dll_node_t)); append_node(node); node->pid = mmapFileWorkerStats->childPID; node->workerFileName = mmapFileWorkerStats->workerFileName; node->type = WORK; functions: void append_node(dll_node_t *nodeToAppend) { /* * append param node to end of list */ // if the list is empty if (head == NULL) { // create the first/head node head = nodeToAppend; nodeToAppend->prev = NULL; } else { tail->next = nodeToAppend; nodeToAppend->prev = tail; } // fix the tail to point to the new node tail = nodeToAppend; nodeToAppend->next = NULL; } finally... the signal handler: void chld_signalHandler() { dll_node_t *temp1 = head; while (temp1 != NULL) { printf("2. node's pid: %d\n", temp1->pid); temp1 = temp1->next; } int termChildPID = waitpid(-1, NULL, WNOHANG); dll_node_t *temp = head; while (temp != NULL) { if (temp->pid == termChildPID) { printf("found process: %d\n", temp->pid); } temp = temp->next; } return; } Is it true that upon the worker process exiting, the SIGCHLD signal handler is triggered? If so, that would mean that after I print the tree before exiting, the next thing I do is in the signal handler which is print the tree... which would mean i would print the tree twice? But the tree isn't the same. The node I add in the worker process doesn't exist when I print in the signal handler or at the very end of main(). Any idea why? Thanks, Hristo

  • Web Application Loading Screen

    - by Matt Charlton
I have a web app that has several tree views. When the page loads i see the unordered lists and after a small latency the styling of the tree is rendered into the DOM. Is there a way to mask the webapp, and have a spinner in the middle of the screen, and when everything on the page is fully rendered the spinner goes away and the mask fades out? Kind of like a semi transparent mask that you would see on a lightbox pop-up dialog.

  • JSON: How do I alert the name of the first node in level 1 in this code snippet?

    - by user143805
    var response = "{\"tree\":[{\"level1\":[{\"node\":{\"id\": 1,\"name\": \"paradox\",\"parent\": 0}}]},{\"level2\":[{\"node\":{\"id\": 2,\"name\": \"lucent\",\"parent\": 1}},{\"node\":{\"id\": 3,\"name\": \"reiso\",\"parent\": 1}}]},{\"level3\":[{\"node\":{\"id\": 4,\"name\": \"pessi\",\"parent\": 3}},{\"node\":{\"id\": 5,\"name\": \"misho\",\"parent\": 2}}]},{\"level4\":[{\"node\":{\"id\": 6,\"name\": \"hema\",\"parent\": 5}},{\"node\":{\"id\": 7,\"name\": \"iiyo\",\"parent\": 4}}]}]}"; var data = eval("(" + response + ")"); This is a dummy json response I am currently testing. Now how do I get the value of "name" in the 1st node of "level1" from the "tree"? Thanks

  • How to decode "application/x-qabstractitemmodeldatalist" in Qt for drag and drop?

    - by gct
I've created a child class of QTreeWidget that I want to be able to drag items from another tree widget too (I want to handle the insertion myself though), as well as from a QListWidget. I've overridden the dropEvent method in my class, and it looks like the mimetype of the data I'm getting from my QTreeWidget is application/x-qabstractitemmodeldatalist, how can I decode this to get the items from the tree back out?

  • Code Golf: Print the entire "12 Days of Christmas" song in the fewest lines of code.

    - by fizzer
Print all 12 verses of the popular holiday song. By 12 verses I mean the repetition of each line as is sung in the song, ie Verse One: On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me a partridge in a pear tree. Verse Two On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree. ... Verse N: On the nth day of Christmas my true love gave to me (Verse N-1 without the first line) (line added in verse N)

  • Xpath Query to match immediate sibling nodes in a sequence.

    - by Pritam Damania
Hi, I'm new to XPATH and I'd like to know if there is a nice way to do this using XPATH queries. I want to match consecutive sibling nodes in a XML tree to certain predefined rules for example if there are three sibling nodes occurring immediately one after the other and they have the attributes value="A", value="B" and value="C", I want the XPATH query to match the first node/last node in such a sequence and I want to extract all such consecutive sequence of nodes from the XML tree so that I can process them later on. Thanks!

  • itertools.product eliminating repeated reversed tuples

    - by genclik27
    I asked a question yesterday and thanks to Tim Peters, it is solved. The question is here; itertools.product eliminating repeated elements The new question is further version of this. This time I will generate tuples inside of tuples. Here is an example; lis = [[(1,2), (3,4)], [(5,2), (1,2)], [(2,1), (1,2)]] When I use it in itertools.product function this is what I get, ((1, 2), (5, 2), (2, 1)) ((1, 2), (5, 2), (1, 2)) ((1, 2), (1, 2), (2, 1)) ((1, 2), (1, 2), (1, 2)) ((3, 4), (5, 2), (2, 1)) ((3, 4), (5, 2), (1, 2)) ((3, 4), (1, 2), (2, 1)) ((3, 4), (1, 2), (1, 2)) I want to change it in a way that if a sequence has (a,b) inside of it, then it can not have (b,a). In this example if you look at this sequence ((3, 4), (1, 2), (2, 1)) it has (1,2) and (2,1) inside of it. So, this sequence ((3, 4), (1, 2), (2, 1)) should not be considered in the results. As I said, I asked similar question before, in that case it was not considering duplicate elements. I try to adapt it to my problem. Here is modified code. Changed parts in old version are taken in comments. def reverse_seq(seq): s = [] for i in range(len(seq)): s.append(seq[-i-1]) return tuple(s) def uprod(*seqs): def inner(i): if i == n: yield tuple(result) return for elt in sets[i] - reverse: #seen.add(elt) rvrs = reverse_seq(elt) reverse.add(rvrs) result[i] = elt for t in inner(i+1): yield t #seen.remove(elt) reverse.remove(rvrs) sets = [set(seq) for seq in seqs] n = len(sets) #seen = set() reverse = set() result = [None] * n for t in inner(0): yield t In my opinion this code should work but I am getting error for the input lis = [[(1,2), (3,4)], [(5,2), (1,2)], [(2,1), (1,2)]]. I could not understand where I am wrong. for i in uprod(*lis): print i Output is, ((1, 2), (1, 2), (1, 2)) Traceback (most recent call last): File "D:\Users\SUUSER\workspace tree\sequence_covering _array\denemeler_buraya.py", line 39, in <module> for i in uprod(*lis): File "D:\Users\SUUSER\workspace tree\sequence_covering _array\denemeler_buraya.py", line 32, in uprod for t in inner(0): File "D:\Users\SUUSER\workspace tree\sequence_covering _array\denemeler_buraya.py", line 22, in inner for t in inner(i+1): File "D:\Users\SUUSER\workspace tree\sequence_covering _array\denemeler_buraya.py", line 25, in inner reverse.remove(rvrs) KeyError: (2, 1) Thanks,

  • Eclipse JFace TreeViewer level auto expansion doesn't work

    - by tamm0r
According to the Eclipse documentation TreeViewer.setAutoExpandLevel(3) means that top-level elements are expanded, and their children, but not grandchildren. I used that in my code, but after setting the input the tree is not auto-expanded, neither on OS X nor on Linux. Expanding the tree manually (via mouse) works flawlessly. Am I missing anything?

  • How to make a plugin for Finder to browse zip-archives as folders?

    - by Andrei
What really surprises me is lack of some essential functionality in Finder, when one migrates from Windows to OS X. One of the things is a possibility to open an archive as a folder, i.e. staying in the directory tree and being able to drag and drop files from the archive to folders in the tree, sidebar etc. What would you do to enable such functionality?

  • How to parse HTML from JavaScript in Firefox?

    - by hmp
What is the best way to parse (get a DOM tree of) a HTML result of XmlHttpRequest in Firefox? EDIT: I do not have the DOM tree, I want to acquire it. XmlHttpRequest's "responseXML" works only when the result is actual XML, so I have only responseText to work with. The innerHTML hack doesn't seem to work with a complete HTML document (in <html</html). - turns out it works fine.

  • Where are the clever uses of strict evaluation?

    - by devonrt
It seems like there are plenty of examples of clever things being done in a lazily-evaluated language that can't be done in an environment with strict evaluation. For example infinite lists in Haskell or replacing every element in a tree with the tree's minimum value in one pass. Are there any examples of clever things being done in a strictly-evaluated language that can't easily be done in a lazily-evaluated language?

  • Handling extra newlines in csv files parsed with Python?

    - by rmihalyi
    I have a CSV file that contains extra newlines in some fields, e.g.: A, B, C, D, E, F 123, 456, tree , very, bla, indigo I tried the following: import csv catalog = csv.reader(open('test.csv', 'rU'), delimiter=",", dialect=csv.excel_tab) for row in catalog: print "Length: ", len(row), row and the result I got was this: Length: 6 ['A', ' B', ' C', ' D', ' E', ' F'] Length: 3 ['123', ' 456', ' tree'] Length: 4 [' ', ' very', ' bla', ' indigo'] Does anyone have any idea how I can quickly remove extraneous newlines? Thanks!
