  • SQL Compact allow only one WCF Client

    Hi, I write a little Chat Application. To save some infos like Username and Password I store the Data in an SQL-Compact 3.5 SP1 Database. Everything working fine, but If another (the same .exe on the same machine) Client want to access the Service. It came an EndpointNotFound exception, from the ServiceReference.Class.Open() at the Second Client. So i remove the CE Data Access Code and I get no Error (with an if (false)) Where is the Problem?   • How do you invoke a python script inside a jar file using python ?

    I'm working on an application that intersperses a bunch of jython and java code. Due to the nature of the program (using wsadmin) we are really restricted to Python 2.1 We currently have a jar containing both java source and .py modules. The code is currently invoked using java, but I'd like to remove this in favor of migrating as much functionality as possible to jython. The problem I have is that I want to either import or execute python modules inside the existing jar file from a calling jython script. I've tried a couple of different ways without success. My directory structure looks like: application.jar |-- com |--example |-- action |-- MyAction.class |-- pre_myAction.py The 1st approach I tried was to do imports from the jar. I added the jar to my sys.path and tried to import the module using both import com.example.action.myAction and import myAction. No success however, even when I put init.py files into the directory at each level. The 2nd approach I tried was to load the resource using the java class. So I wrote the below code: import sys import os import com.example.action.MyAction as MyAction scriptName = str(MyAction.getResource('/com/example/action/myAction.py')) scriptStr = MyAction.getResourceAsStream('/com/example/action/myAction.py') try: print execfile(scriptStr) except: print "failed 1" try: print execfile(scriptName) except: print "failed 2" Both of these failed.   • Exception in setDrawingCache in Android 1.5?

    Hi, I am developing an application where I am using setDrawingCache and then once I get the Bitmap I destroy the cache by using destroyDrawingCache(). The application has been developed with Android SDK 1.6. When testing the application in emulator with Android 1.5 the application throws NullPointerException when try to manipulate the Bitmap returned by getDrawingCache(). It probably gives error since getDrawingCache returns null. The interesting thing in this is that the NullPointerException comes only after I run the application twice or thrice. It means I am able to get the Bitmap for two times and then it throws this exception.     I have a website that uses the facebook, twitter, delicious share links. They contain a a url encoded url of the website that you wish to share. The problem is I then want to send the facebook/twitter/delicious url through a php redirect page. Will it work to encode a url within an encoded url? Will there be side effects?     I'm new to Linq and I'm trying to query a XML document to find a list of account managers for a particular user. I know that I can get either of the two, but my problem is selecting both.   • asp.net client/browser url

    I'm wondering how I can get the url from the browser in asp.net. I have a page that I use globalization/localization for and I am redirecting (via server not code) from www.spanishversion.com to www.englishversion.com but the url is masked to still say www.spanishversion.com. I want to get what the browser's url is but when I try things like Request.Url.ToString() Request.Url.OriginalUrl Request.Path Request.RawUrl Request.ServerVariables["SERVER_NAME"] it always comes back as www.englishversion.com. Is there a way that I can explicitly read the url from the browser? Thanks.

    Using dajngo-multilingual and localeurl. Small sample of my main page view: def main(request): #View for http://www.mysite.com/ name = Dog.objects.all()[0].full_name #this is a translated field return render_to_response("home.html", {"name" : name}) Entering http://www.mysite.com/ redirects me to http://www.mysite.com/ru/ and "name" variable gets russian localization. For now it's ok... But... Entering http://www.mysite.com/en/ shows me same russian loclized variable. During my experiments with debuger I've discovered: request.LANGUAGE_CODE is changing properly according to /en/ or /ru/ url suffix (thanx to localeurl) invoking multilingual.languages.set_default_language() makes "name" variable change loclization The question is: should I change language of django-multilingual to request.LANGUAGE_CODE in each of my view myself, or it must be solved automaticly and I've done something wrong?

    I have 3 lists, each with equal elements: email addresses, salaries and IDs I'd like to sort the email addresses alphabetically and in some way sort the other 2 lists (salaries and IDs). E.g., Emails: z@company.com a@company.com Salaries: 50000 60000 IDs: 2 1 The puzzle: I'd like to sort Emails such that a@c.com is first and z@c.com is last and Salaries is 60000 then 50000 and IDs is 1 then 2. Additional detail: 1. Length of lists are the same and can be longer than two elements. 2. I will subsequently pass IDs to functions to retrieve further lists. Those lists won't need sorting as they will adopt the order of the IDs list.

  • In a multithreaded app, would a multi-core or multiprocessor arrangement be better?

So I thought I'd just ask. (1) Is a multi-core processor in which each core has dedicated cache effectively the same as a multiprocessor system (balanced of course for processor speed, cache size, and so on)? (2) Let's say I have some images to analyze (i.e., computer vision), and I have these images loaded into RAM. My app spawns a thread for each image that needs to be analyzed. Will this app on a shared cache multi-core processor run slower than on a dedicated cache multi-core processor, and would the latter run at the same speed as on an equivalent single-core multiprocessor machine? On click of button; it redirects to the path I mentioned in form action. With Tamper data I find that the request goes to URL ( as in method ) with GET and then it re-directs to form's action URL. I added return false in the method call also.-- javascript:doCloseWindow();return false" I tired various combination like window.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; window.document.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; document.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; But no success.

  • Facebook dialogs keep popping up in Firefox

    I have a facebook application running in a FBML canvas and I have a problem with dialogs (either extended permissions or stream publish dialogs). Once they popup, they keep popping up for every subsequent requests. I've tested it in Chrome and everything works fine. It seems that the URL is chained in Firefox, which gives cryptic long urls like : http://apps.facebook.com/webdweller-po/discover?_fb_q=1&_fb_qsub=apps.facebook.com#!/webdweller-dev/?_fb_q=1&_fb_qsub=apps.facebook.com Did anybody experienced such a bug?

  • Linux policy routing - packets not coming back

    i am trying to set up policy routing on my home server. My network looks like this: Host routed VPN gateway Internet link through VPN 192.168.0.35/24 ---> 192.168.0.5/24 ---> 192.168.0.1 DSL router 10.200.2.235/22 .... .... 10.200.0.1 VPN server The traffic from 192.168.0.32/27 should be and is routed through VPN. I wanted to define some routing policies to route some traffic from 192.168.0.5 through VPN as well - for start - from user with uid 2000. Policy routing is done using iptables mark target and ip rule fwmark. The problem: When connecting using user 2000 from 192.168.0.5 tcpdump shows outgoing packets, but nothing comes back. Traffic from 192.168.0.35 works fine (here I am not using fwmark but src policy).     Hi I have a very simple WPF project comprising a Window and Usercontrol. I'm very much in a learning phase. It works fine when I run it. However, I am unable to see the form in design time. The problem, I believe is something to do with namespaces, but I don't understand where.
