    Hi, We have request from our clients to provide a POS terminal version of our web-based software. They want to be able to enter record to their database from POS terminal (via web service) instead of using PC browser. I am the one to develop this application, as I am the lead developer of the main application. I haven't done any Windows embedded programming or .net compact edition before and would appreciate link to good tutorial or info on how to start developing for Windows CE 6.0 enabled POS terminal or device.     hi I want to execute an exe file which is written in VC++.net 2008 in a computer which has windows xp and has not .net framework and none of c++ libraries. but when i run the file i get this error: This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect....   • swf doesn't respond when relocating it

    Hi, i have in my program few swf files and using mxmlc i compile the application into one swf file. when i open the swf from the output directory(just dbl click) everything works fine. But, when i copy the directory to another location in the hardisk the application stops responding (i can see my swf main picture and its buttons in it. But, when i click a button which just popup a message, it doesn't work!) any help?

  • Is it possible to turn a View-Based App into a navigation-Based App?

    I am close to finishing my first application (a UITableView style one) on the iphone but have realised it will look much better, and stand a far better chance of getting through the approval process, if it is presented as a navigation-based app rather than a view-based one - in hindsight my initial choice is not really suitable... Is it possible for me to somehow change easily the application into a new type, or would i be better starting again from scratch with all the hassle that would entail... thanks for any advice on how it may be done, karl

I need it to be stored in the application storage so we can reference the content once downloaded.     I'm implementing serial key functionality in my application. User needs to enter at least 64bit number in order to register the application. Because typing number like 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 will take a while I want to compress it a bit. The first guess was to code this number hexadecimally but it still is quite long (0x7FFF FFFF FFFF FFFF). Is there any standard method in .NET to code this number alphanumerically using for example: digits, upper-case and lower-case characters?

    Hi, I need to give my user a web interface to change the session timeout interval. So, each installation of the application might have different timeouts for their sessions, but they web.xml cannot be different. Is there a way to set the session timeout programatically, so that I could use, say, ServletContextListener.contextInitialized() to read the configured interval and set it upon application startup?   • upload form only works in Firefox when uploading ASCII .stl 3D files

    uploadform.html and upload_file.php (below) works fine in Firefox but fails in Chrome, IE, and Safari when uploading ASCII .stl 3D files. Error message is "Invalid file" and problem occurs with multiple computers and multiple .stl files. When I modify the code to support other file types like JPG and PDF it allows those file types in all three web browsers. Also, Firefox only allows the .stl upload if I include application/octet-stream in the mime types section. To elaborate what we are discussing is, at application creation open a sql connection and at application close or error closing the sql connection.
