  • jquery parseFloat assigning val to field

    - by user306472
    I have a select box that gives a description of a product along with a price. Depending on what the user selects, I'd like to automatically grab that dollar amount from the option selected and assign it to a price input field. My HTML: <tr> <td> <select class="selector"> <option value="Item One $500">Item One $500</option> <option value="Item Two $400">Item Two $400</option> </select> </td> <td> <input type="text" class="price"></input> </td> </tr> So based on what is selected, I want either 500 or 400 assigned to the .class input. I tried this but I'm not quite sure where I'm going wrong: $('.selector').blur(function(){ var selectVal = ('.selector > option.val()'); var parsedPrice = parseFloat(selectVal.val()); $('.price').val(parsedPrice); });

  • WPF trigger on datagrid to hide/show columns according to bindings

    - by Renan
    I have a data grid like this: <DataGrid AutoGenerateColumns="False" CanUserDeleteRows="True" HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Hidden" Margin="10,10,10,10" VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Visible" CanUserAddRows="False" ItemsSource="{Binding ListGestores}" ToolTip="Selecione uma linha e pressione DELETE para remover uma unidade."> <DataGrid.Columns> <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding TB_UNIDADE.DS_NOME_UNIDADE}" CanUserResize="False" Header="Setor" IsReadOnly="True" x:Name=""/> <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding TB_UNIDADE.TB_UNIDADE2.DS_NOME_UNIDADE}" CanUserResize="False" Header="Unidade" IsReadOnly="True" x:Name=""/> <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding TB_CONTATOS.DS_NOME}" CanUserResize="False" Header="Gestor" IsReadOnly="True" /> </DataGrid.Columns> </DataGrid> The problem is that i need to verify if the 2 column binding is null, and if it is null, i need to Hide it, and Change the Header of the column 1. I know that i can do that with Triggers, but how exactly??? I started with: <DataGrid.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding TB_UNIDADE.TB_UNIDADE2}" Value="{x:Null}"> <Setter Property="" Value="" /> </DataTrigger> </DataGrid.Triggers> But i don't know what setter or whatever to put ! Help me =]

  • winforms databinding best practices

    - by Kaiser Soze
    Demands / problems: I would like to bind multiple properties of an entity to controls in a form. Some of which are read only from time to time (according to business logic). When using an entity that implements INotifyPropertyChanged as the DataSource, every change notification refreshes all the controls bound to that data source (easy to verify - just bind two properties to two controls and invoke a change notification on one of them, you will see that both properties are hit and reevaluated). There should be user friendly error notifications (the entity implements IDataErrorInfo). (probably using ErrorProvider) Using the entity as the DataSource of the controls leads to performance issues and makes life harder when its time for a control to be read only. I thought of creating some kind of wrapper that holds the entity and a specific property so that each control would be bound to a different DataSource. Moreover, that wrapper could hold the ReadOnly indicator for that property so the control would be bound directly to that value. The wrapper could look like this: interface IPropertyWrapper : INotifyPropertyChanged, IDataErrorInfo { object Value { get; set; } bool IsReadOnly { get; } } But this means also a different ErrorProvider for each property (property wrapper) I feel like I'm trying to reinvent the wheel... What is the 'proper' way of handling complex binding demands like these? Thanks ahead.

  • Silverlight DataGrid: Hiding columns using VisualStateManager

    - by Lars Udengaard
    Is it possible to hide a column of a datagrid, without using codebehind? E.g. by using the VisualStateManager? <UserControl xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:data="clr-namespace:System.Windows.Controls;assembly=System.Windows.Controls.Data" x:Class="Buttons.MainPage" Width="640" Height="480"> <StackPanel x:Name="LayoutRoot" Width="624" HorizontalAlignment="Right" Margin="0,0,8,0" > <VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups> <VisualStateGroup x:Name="EditStates"> <VisualState x:Name="ReadOnly" /> <VisualState x:Name="Edit"> <Storyboard> <ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetName="ShownInEditMode" Storyboard.TargetProperty="(UIElement.Visibility)" BeginTime="00:00:00" Duration="00:00:00.0010000"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame KeyTime="00:00:00"> <DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> <Visibility>Visible</Visibility> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame.Value> </DiscreteObjectKeyFrame> </ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames> </Storyboard> </VisualState> </VisualStateGroup> </VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups> <data:DataGrid AutoGenerateColumns="False" ItemsSource="{Binding BBRNumbers}"> <data:DataGrid.Columns> <data:DataGridTextColumn Header="AlwaysShown" Width="80" Binding="{Binding Municipality}" /> <data:DataGridTextColumn Header="ShownInEditMode" Width="73" Binding="{Binding Estate}" Visibility="Collapsed" /> </data:DataGrid.Columns> </data:DataGrid> </StackPanel> Calling the following should then hide the column, but this doesnt work. VisualStateManager.GoToState(this, "Edit", false); Any ideas?

  • Problem with jqGrid in Internet Explorer 8

    - by Dave Swersky
    I have developed an ASP.NET MVC (version 2 RC) application with a ton of jqGrids. It's working like a champ in Firefox, but I've discovered a problem in IE8. The "Main View" grids can be filtered by a search box or one of a few dropdowns above the grid. I use some javascript to reset the url for the grid, then trigger a reload, thusly: function filterByName(filter) { if (filter == 'All') { $('#list').setGridParam({ url: 'Application/GetApplications' }); $('#list').trigger("reloadGrid"); } else { $('#list').setGridParam({ url: 'Application/GetAppByName/' + filter + '/' }); $('#list').trigger("reloadGrid"); } } This works like magic in Firefox, but I'm getting an HTTP 400 Bad Request when I do this in IE8. The IE8 client-side debugger is like flint and tinder compared to Firebug's flamethrower, so I'm not having much luck figuring out why it breaks in IE8. Has anyone seen this? Also, the jqGrid "trigger" method here is swallowing the AJAX exception. Is there a way to get it to bubble up so I can get to the exception details? UPDATE: The problem was with the syntax in my "onchange" event for the dropdowns. I was using: onchange="filterByMnemonic($('#drpMnemonic')[0].value); Which Firefox apparently doesn't mind but IE sees that as nuthin'. This, however, works in both browsers: onchange = "filterByMnemonic($('#drpMnemonic > option:selected').attr('value'));"

  • Alternative to FindAncestor RelativeSource in Silverlight 4 to bind to a property of the page

    - by TimothyP
    Hi, FindAncestor RelativeSource only supports 'Self' and 'TemplatedParent', but I have to bind the width of a popup to the width of the page. Giving the page a name causes problems because sometimes it will throw exceptions saying a control with that name is already present in the visual tree. <Popup IsOpen="True" Width="{Binding ElementName=BordPage, Path=Width}" Height="{Binding ElementName=BordPage, Path=Height}"> Background information: I'm using a SL4 navigation based application here. BordPage is a navigation page, which I'm using multiple times within the application. So giving it a name in the page itself is not really a good idea, but I don't know how else I can bind to the width and height of the page. What I'm trying to do is have a black border (with opacity 0.8) cover the entire screen, (including the controls of the MainPage). Then on top of that I want to display some other controls. Since the application is touch controlled, providing the user with a ComboBox to select a value doesn't really work wel. Instead I want to show this black overlay window with a listbox taking up most of the screen so the user can simply touch the value he wants with a single click. Update: I just realized I can use the ChildWindow class to do this. But my original question remains.

  • $facebook->getSession() returns null in the example code. is that ok?

    - by Toto
    Running the example code for the Facebook API I get a null session object, and I should get a non-null object giving the comment in the code. What am I doing wrong? In other words, in my index.php this fragment from the example code shows "no session" when I go to http://apps.facebook.com/my_app in my browser: <?php require './facebook.php'; // Create our Application instance. $facebook = new Facebook(array( 'appId' => '...', // actual value replaced by '...' for this post 'secret' => '...', // actual value replaced by '...' for the post 'cookie' => true, )); // We may or may not have this data based on a $_GET or $_COOKIE based session. // // If we get a session here, it means we found a correctly signed session using // the Application Secret only Facebook and the Application know. We dont know // if it is still valid until we make an API call using the session. A session // can become invalid if it has already expired (should not be getting the // session back in this case) or if the user logged out of Facebook. $session = $facebook->getSession(); if ($session) { echo "session ok"; } else { echo "no session"; } ?> Note: in my server index.php and facebook.php are in the same folder.

  • WPF derived ComboBox SelectedValuePath issue

    - by opedog
    In our application we have a very large set of data that acts as our data dictionary for ComboBox lists, etc. This data is staticly cached and keyed off of 2 variables, so I thought it wise to write a control that derived from ComboBox and exposed the 2 keys as DPs. When those 2 keys have proper values I set the ItemsSource of the ComboBox automatically from the data dictionary list it corresponds to. I also automatically set the SelectedValuePath and DisplayMemberPath to Code and Description, respectively. Here's how an example of how an item in the ItemsSource from the data dictionary list always looks: public class DataDictionaryItem { public string Code { get; set; } public string Description { get; set; } public string Code3 { get { return this.Get.Substring(0, 3); } } } The value of Code is always 4 bytes long, but sometimes I only need to bind 3 bytes of it. Hence, the Code3 property. Here's how the code looks inside my custom combobox to set the ItemsSource: private static void SetItemsSource(CustomComboBox combo) { if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(combo.Key1) || string.IsNullOrEmpty(combo.Key2)) { combo.ItemsSource = null; return; } List<DataDictionaryItem> list = GetDataDictionaryList(combo.Key1, combo.Key2); combo.ItemsSource = list; } Now, my problem is, when I change the SelectedValuePath in the XAML to Code3, it doesn't work. What I bind to SelectedValue still gets the full 4 character Code from DataDictionaryItem. I even tried rerunning SetItemsSource when the SelectedValuePath was changed and no dice. Can anyone see what I need to do to get my custom combobox to wake up and use the SelectedValuePath provided if it's overridden in the XAML? Tweaking the value in the property setter in my SelectedValue bound business object is not an option.

  • Greyscale Image from YUV420p data

    - by fergs
    From what I have read on the internet the Y value is the luminance value and can be used to create a grey scale image. The following link: http://www.bobpowell.net/grayscale.htm, has some C# code on working out the luminance of a bitmap image : { Bitmap bm = new Bitmap(source.Width,source.Height); for(int y=0;y<bm.Height;y++) public Bitmap ConvertToGrayscale(Bitmap source) { for(int x=0;x<bm.Width;x++) { Color c=source.GetPixel(x,y); int luma = (int)(c.R*0.3 + c.G*0.59+ c.B*0.11); bm.SetPixel(x,y,Color.FromArgb(luma,luma,luma)); } } return bm; } I have a method that returns the YUV values and have the Y data in a byte array. I have the current piece of code and it is failing on Marshal.Copy – attempted to read or write protected memory. public Bitmap ConvertToGrayscale2(byte[] yuvData, int width, int height) { Bitmap bmp; IntPtr blue = IntPtr.Zero; int inputOffSet = 0; long[] pixels = new long[width * height]; try { for (int y = 0; y < height; y++) { int outputOffSet = y * width; for (int x = 0; x < width; x++) { int grey = yuvData[inputOffSet + x] & 0xff; unchecked { pixels[outputOffSet + x] = UINT_Constant | (grey * INT_Constant); } } inputOffSet += width; } blue = Marshal.AllocCoTaskMem(pixels.Length); Marshal.Copy(pixels, 0, blue, pixels.Length); // fails here : Attempted to read or write protected memory bmp = new Bitmap(width, height, width, PixelFormat.Format24bppRgb, blue); } catch (Exception) { throw; } finally { if (blue != IntPtr.Zero) { Marshal.FreeHGlobal(blue); blue = IntPtr.Zero; } } return bmp; } Any help would be appreciated?

  • How to get only one rounded corner with border-radius htc hack and MSIE v:roundrect?

    - by aarreoskari
    I have a problem with partially rounded corners. See the first working example for most browsers: .box { display: block; width: 100px; height: 100px; border: 1px solid black; background-color: yellow; -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 10px; -webkit-border-bottom-right-radius: 10px; } You can see that only bottom right corner should be rounded. Natural choice would be adding a border-radius.htc hack inside a conditional IE statement: .box { border-bottom-right-radius: 20px; behavior:url(border-radius.htc); } This is not working because border-radius.htc file is only accessing normal border-radius value (this.currentStyle['border-radius']). VML used by the hack is roundrect which only supports one percentage value for arcsize. So I was wondering if there is any other way around the problem by using some other VML elements? Another problem is that htc-file doesnt's support borders but that can be fixed with VML's stroked attribute. Nifty corners for example doesn't work well with corners at all.

  • NSString variable out of scope in sub-class (iPhone/Obj-C)

    - by Rich
    I am following along with an example in a book with the code exactly as it is in the example code as well as from the book, and I'm getting an error at runtime. I'll try to describe the life cycle of this variable as good as I can. I have a controller class with a nested array that is populated with string literals (NSArray of NSArrays, the nested NSArrays initialized with arrayWithObjects: where the objects are all string literals - @"some string"). I access these strings with a helper method added via a category on NSArray (to pull strings out of a nested array). My controller gets a reference to this string and assigns it to a NSString property on a child controller using dot notation. The code looks like this (nestedObjectAtIndexPath is my helper method): NSString *rowKey = [rowKeys nestedObjectAtIndexPath:indexPath]; controller.keypath = rowKey; keypath is a synthesized nonatomic, retain property defined in a based class. When I hit a breakpoint in the controller at the above code, the NSString's value is as expected. When I hit the next breakpoint inside the child controller, the object id of the keypath property is the same as before, but instead of showing me the value of the NSString, XCode says that the variable is "out of scope" which is also the error I see in the console. This also happens in another sub-class of the same parent. I tried googling, and I saw slightly similar cases where people were suggesting this had to do with retain counts. I was under the impression that by using dot notation on a synthesized property, my class would be using an "auto generated accessor" that would be increasing my retain count for me so that I wouldn't have this problem. Could there be any implications because I'm accessing it in a sub-class and the prop is defined in the parent? I don't see anything in the book's errata about this, but the book is relatively new (Apress - More iPhone 3 Dev). I also have double checked that my code matches the example 100 times.

  • How to implement EntityDataSource Where IN entity sql clause

    - by TonyS
    I want to pass a number of values into a parameter of the EntityDataSource, e.g.: Where="it.ORDER_ID IN {@OrderIdList}" (this is a property on the EntityDataSource) <WhereParameters> <asp:ControlParameter Name="OrderIdList" Type="Int16" ControlID="OrderFilterControl" PropertyName="OrderIdList" /> </WhereParameters> This doesn't work as ORDER_ID is of type int32 and I need to pass in multiple values, e.g. {1,2,3} etc The next thing I tried was setting the Where clause in code-behind and this all works except I can't get data binding on DropDownLists to work. By this I mean no value is returned from the bound dropdownlists in the EntityDataSource Updating Event. My ideal solution would be to use a WhereParameter on the EntityDataSource but any help is appreciated. Thanks, Tony. • WPF DataGrid ComboBox Column: Propagating Header Combobox throughout column...

    - by LostKaleb
    Hey there! Here's my question: I've got a Datagrid in WPF and I have a first column that is a DataGridComboBoxColumn. What I'd like to do is to have a header for that column also with a combobox: altering the header with propagate throughout the column. I can get this done visually, but when I submit the data, the list that is bound with the Datagrid does not carry the new combobox values. <dg:DataGridComboBoxColumn SelectedItemBinding="{Binding BIBStatus}" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={StaticResource typeStatus}}" Width="0.20*"> <dg:DataGridComboBoxColumn.HeaderTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel> <TextBlock Text="Built-In Bridge"/> <ComboBox SelectedItem="{Binding BIBStatus}" SelectionChanged="ComboBox_SelectionChanged" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={StaticResource typeStatus}}"/> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </dg:DataGridComboBoxColumn.HeaderTemplate> </dg:DataGridComboBoxColumn> In the ComboBox_SelectionChanged I have the following code: DataGridColumn comboCol = this.gridResults.Columns[0]; for (int i = 0; i < this.gridResults.Items.Count; i++) { ComboBox myCmBox = (comboCol.GetCellContent(this.gridResults.Items[i]) as ComboBox); myCmBox.SelectedValue = ((ComboBox)sender).SelectedValue; } When I submit the data, I submit the list that is DataContext to the Datagrid; if I change the value of the first column addressing a row at a time, i.e. clicking the cell with the combobox in each row, the values are propagated to the list in DataContext, however if I change the value of the first column by the header it does not. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? I'm guessing it's the way I affect each row, but I've tried SelectedValue, SelectedItem and SelectedIndex... all to no avail. Thanks in advance...

  • WPF ICommand over a button

    - by toni
    Hi, I have implemented a custom IComand class for one of my buttons. The button is placed in a page 'MyPage.xaml' but its custom ICommand class is placed in another class, not in the MyPage code behind. Then from XAML I want to bind the button with its custom command class and then I do: MyPage.xaml: <Page ...> <Page.CommandBindings> <CommandBinding Command="RemoveAllCommand" CanExecute="CanExecute" Executed="Execute" /> </Page.CommandBindings> <Page.InputBindings> <MouseBinding Command="RemoveAllCommand" MouseAction="LeftClick" /> </Page.InputBindings> <...> <Button x:Name="MyButton" Command="RemoveAllCommand" .../> <...> </Page> and the custom command button class: // Here I derive from MyPage class because I want to access some objects from // Execute method public class RemoveAllCommand : MyPage, ICommand { public void Execute(Object parameter) { <...> } public bool CanExecute(Object parameter) { <...> } public event EventHandler CanExecuteChanged { add { CommandManager.RequerySuggested += value; } remove { CommandManager.RequerySuggested -= value; } } } My problem is how to say MyPage.xaml that Execute and CanExecute methods for the button is in another class and not the code behind where is placed the button. How to say these methods are in RemoveAllCommand Class in XAML page. Also I want to fire this command when click mouse event is produced in the button so I do an input binding, is it correct? Thanks

  • How to create a MVC 2 DisplayTemplate for a field whose display format is dependent on another field

    - by Glenn
    If I have a property whose display format is dependent on the value of another property in the view model how do I create a display template for it? The combination of field1's display being dependent on field2's value will be used throughout the app and I would like to encapsulate this in a MVC 2 display template. To be more specific, I've already create a display template (Social.ascx) for custom data type Social that masks a social security number for display. For instance, XXX-XX-1234. [DataType("Social")] public string SocialSecurityNumber { get; set; } All employees also have an employeeID. Certain companies use the employee's social security number as either the whole employee id or as part of it. I need to also mask the employeeID if it contains the social. I'd like to create another display template (EmpID.ascx) to perform this task. [DataType("EmpID")] public string EmployeeID { get; set; } The problem is that I don't know how to get both properties in the "EmpID" template to be able to perform the comparison. Thanks for the help.

    How would I bind the IsChecked member of a CheckBox to a member variable in my form? (I realize I can access it directly, but I am trying to learn about databinding and WPF) Below is my failed attempt to get this working. XAML: <Window x:Class="MyProject.Form1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="Title" Height="386" Width="563" WindowStyle="SingleBorderWindow"> <Grid> <CheckBox Name="checkBoxShowPending" TabIndex="2" Margin="0,12,30,0" Checked="checkBoxShowPending_CheckedChanged" Height="17" VerticalAlignment="Top" HorizontalAlignment="Right" Width="92" Content="Show Pending" IsChecked="{Binding ShowPending}"> </CheckBox> </Grid> </Window> Code: namespace MyProject { public partial class Form1 : Window { private ListViewColumnSorter lvwColumnSorter; public bool? ShowPending { get { return this.showPending; } set { this.showPending = value; } } private bool showPending = false; private void checkBoxShowPending_CheckedChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { //checking showPending.Value here. It's always false } } }
