  • MVC4 dynamically changing master layout page doesn't work on first load

    I have an MVC4 mobile project that I want to add a desktop (non mobile) page to for some users. I have added a new desktop master page and assigned my view to use it. The first time I navigate to the page it renders using jquerymobile which appears to somehow be cached from the previous screen. If I hit F5 to refresh the page it displays using the assigned desktop masterpage correctly. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Any insight appreciated

    Hi.. I have been trying to use a ScrollView on a single ImageView with a JPG (~770 x 1024) over an AVD that's 600x800. My main.xml is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" > <ScrollView android:id="@+id/scroller" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" /> </LinearLayout> Now, I add a single ImageView with setContentView(R.layout.main); ScrollView sv = (ScrollView)findViewById( R.id.scroller ); ImageView iv = new ImageView(this); iv.setImageDrawable( new BitmapDrawable( "/sdcard/770x1024.jpg" ) ); // same happens with ScaleDrawable. iv.setScaleType( ScaleType.CENTER_INSIDE ); sv.addView( sv ); // and it does not go any better if I use Linear Layout between the ScrollView and the ImageView. The result is The image was displayed in a middle of a ScrollView, wrapped with background area on top and bottom as following: ##### ##### image . . . ##### ##### Where ##### stands for background area I tried to set the background of the ImageView red, and it verified that the blank margins were ImageView background. iv.setBackgroundColor( color.Red ); Where I would expect the image to take no more than its size (scaled to the AVD size) and I expect the ScrollView to let me scroll over the remainder (if any). For some reason, I see that the drawable size is 600x1024. Moreover I tried to add a LinearLayout with a dummy text view such as the linear layout is a parent to the ImageView and the TextView, and the ScrollView is a parent to the LinearLayout. LinearLayout dummy = new LinearLayout( this ); dummy.addView(iv); TextView someTextView = new TextView( this ); someTextView.setLayoutParams(new LayoutParams( LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT, LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT )); dummy.addView( someTextView ); sv.addView( dummy ); The result was very peculiar: The entire layout was set into the width of a text-less text view (19). It is important for me to avoid stretching the image. What is the recommended way to implement a display of a page that can be potentially scrolled? There doesn't seem to be any event exposed that I can wire up that specifically relates to the search button on the keyboard.   • iPhone App not saving values to .plist file

    Hey everyone. I am working on an app that displays a modal the first time the consumer uses it. I have a .plist file that will store the information I request once the Save button is pressed. I can read from the .plist file fine and when I run my save method it SEEMS to work fine but the .plist file is not updating. I'm not so sure of the problem here. I use Rails 3.0.0beta A lot of files can be uploaded at the same time, and the cost (from a performance point of view) of an upload is quite heavy, my app will be busy handling uploads all the time! Maybe a solution is to upload directly to s3, but I still need a submit to my app, at least to store the file's name. I'm wondering what is the best solution?

In the project file is an option "MvcBuildViews", which builds these dll files. But they are build in a temp directory and not used in the publishment process.     Hi I am currently busy with a WPF application that uses a "GridView". There are several template columns one of which is a ComboBox in column 3 named cmbInputControlType. What I would like to do using my Converter class, which I have already created, is binding the visibility of the TextBox(txtFrom) in column 4 to the selected value of the ComboBox(Column 3).   • Fullcalendar event rendering

    I would like to render an event to take up the entire space in a cell. For instance in the month view. Out of the box, the date is displayed on top, and then the event underneath. I want to ignore the date text and display the event over the intire cell, I don't want to hardcode the height of the event.     I have the following situation. I have a validator to validate my command object and set the errors on a Errors object to be displayed in my form. The validator is invoked as expected and works okay, but the errors i set on the Errors objects are not displayed, when i am sent back to my form because of the validation errors. Or is it that the Errors object containing the errors is not available to my view? Any help is welcome and appreciated, it might give me a hint or point me in right direction.
