  • Grid overlayed on image using javascript, need help getting grid coordinates.

    - by Alos
    Hi I am fairly new to javascript and could use some help, I am trying to overlay a grid on top of an image and then be able to have the user click on the grid and get the grid coordinate from the box that the user clicked. I have been working with the code from the following stackoverflow question: Creating a grid overlay over image. link text Here is the code that I have so far: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> </script> <script type="text/javascript"> var SetGrid = function(el, sz, nr, nc){ //get number of rows/columns according to the 'grid' size //numcols = el.getSize().x/sz; //numrows = el.getSize().y/sz; numcols = 48; numrows = 32; //create table element for injecting cols/rows var gridTable = new Element('table', { 'id' : 'gridTable', 'styles' : { 'width' : el.getSize().x, 'height' : el.getSize().y, 'top' : el.getCoordinates().top, 'left' : el.getCoordinates().left } }); //inject rows/cols into gridTable for (row = 1; row<=numrows; row++){ thisRow = new Element('tr', { 'id' : row, 'class' : 'gridRow' }); for(col = 1; col<=numcols; col++){ thisCol = new Element('td', { 'id' : col, 'class' : 'gridCol0' }); //each cell gets down/up over event... down starts dragging|up stops|over draws area if down was fired thisCol.addEvents({ 'mousedown' : function(){ dragFlag = true; startRow = this.getParent().get('id'); startCol = this.get('id'); }, 'mouseup' : function(){ dragFlag = false; }, 'mouseover' : function(){ if (dragFlag==true){ this.set('class', 'gridCol'+$$('#lvlSelect .on').get('value')); } }, 'click' : function(){ //this.set('class', 'gridCol'+$$('#lvlSelect .on').get('id').substr(3, 1) ); str = $$('#lvlSelect .on').get('id'); alert(str.substr(2, 3)); } }); thisCol.inject(thisRow, 'bottom'); }; thisRow.inject(gridTable, 'bottom'); }; gridTable.inject(el.getParent()); } //sens level selector func var SetSensitivitySelector = function(el, sz, nr, nc){ $$('#lvlSelect ul li').each(function(el){ el.addEvents({ 'click' : function(){ $$('#lvlSelect ul li').set('class', ''); this.set('class', 'on'); }, 'mouseover' : function(){ el.setStyle('cursor','pointer'); }, 'mouseout' : function(){ el.setStyle('cursor',''); } }); }); } //execute window.addEvent('load', function(){ SetGrid($('imagetomap'), 32); SetSensitivitySelector(); }); var gridSize = { x: 48, y: 32 }; var img = document.getElementById('imagetomap'); img.onclick = function(e) { if (!e) e = window.event; alert(Math.floor(e.offsetX/ gridSize.x) + ', ' + Math.floor(e.offsetY / gridSize.y)); } </script> <style> #imagetomapdiv { float:left; display: block; } #gridTable { border:1px solid red; border-collapse:collapse; position:absolute; z-index:5; } #gridTable td { opacity:0.2; filter:alpha(opacity=20); } #gridTable .gridCol0 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: none; } #gridTable .gridCol1 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: green; } #gridTable .gridCol2 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: blue; } #gridTable .gridCol3 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: yellow; } #gridTable .gridCol4 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: orange; } #gridTable .gridCol5 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: red; } #lvlSelect ul {float: left; display:block; position:relative; margin-left: 20px; padding: 10px; } #lvlSelect ul li { width:40px; text-align:center; display:block; border:1px solid black; position:relative; padding: 10px; list-style:none; opacity:0.2; filter:alpha(opacity=20); } #lvlSelect ul li.on { opacity:1; filter:alpha(opacity=100); } #lvlSelect ul #li0 { background-color: none; } #lvlSelect ul #li1 { background-color: green; } #lvlSelect ul #li2 { background-color: blue; } #lvlSelect ul #li3 { background-color: yellow; } #lvlSelect ul #li4 { background-color: orange; } #lvlSelect ul #li5 { background-color: red; } </style> </div> <div id="lvlSelect"> <ul> <li value="0" id="li0">0</li> <li value="1" id="li1">1</li> <li value="2" id="li2">2</li> <li value="3" id="li3">3</li> <li value="4" id="li4">4</li> <li value="5" id="li5" class="on">5</li> </ul> </div> In this example the grid box changes color when the image is grid box is clicked, but I would like to be able to have the coordinates of the box. Any help would be great. Thank you

    At first I have taken some string in which I am trying to save the input values of textboxs and there is a combo box, I am trying to save the input value of the combo box to database, but this following code is unable to do that !!! what is the prob please help me. private void OK_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { string sTxtcmpnyName = ""; string sTxtcmpnyAdd = ""; string sPhoneno = ""; string sTxtFax = ""; string sPanNo = ""; string sTxtTin = ""; string sTax = ""; string sAccYr = ""; string sComboSt = ""; foreach (Control c in this.Controls) ////*Adding Validation to the textbox.*// // Here the control is entered into GroupBox Grpcmp where c is denoting the name of the control into the groupbox. { // c1 is another control which denotes the textboxes under the GroupBox Grpcmp. foreach (Control c1 in c.Controls) { /////Now this following code snippets reperesents that the name of the company should not be blank. if (c1 is TextBox == true) // simpler that what you've done there { TextBox temp = (TextBox)c1; //The control is entering into Txtcompany. if (temp.Name == "Txtcompanyname") { //Condition checking is the TextBox is empty or Null then the following message will be shown. if ((temp.Text == "") || (temp.Text == "NULL")) { MessageBox.Show("Company Name should not be Blank"); } sTxtcmpnyName = temp.Text; } else if (c1.Name == "TxtcompanyAddress") { sTxtcmpnyAdd = c1.Text; } else if (c1.Name == "Txtphoneno") { sPhoneno = c1.Text; } else if (c1.Name == "TxtFax ") { sTxtFax = c1.Text; } else if (c1.Name == "Txtpanno") { sPanNo = c1.Text; } else if (c1.Name == "TxtTin") { sTxtTin = c1.Text; } else if (c1.Name == "Txtservicetax") { sTax = c1.Text; } //Now I am converting the TxtAcYr into Date format. //For this purpose two conditions are checked first. //First If the TextBox TxtAcYr is Null or empty it will show the message to enter the accountyear!! //Second If the length of the TextBox TxtAcYr is less than 10, it will again generate a message The date format should be in DD/MM/YYYY // Then the value of the use input will be picked using a For loop. if (c1.Name == "TxtAcYr") { sAccYr = c1.Text; //Here a string is taken named as yearlength and the value of the TxtAcYr is assigned to it by using control c1. //Condition Checking If the TextBox TxtAcYr is Null or empty it will show the message to enter the accountyear!! if ((c1.Text == "") || (c1.Text == "NULL")) { MessageBox.Show("Account Year should be entered!!"); } //Condition 2 is checking. • MVVM/Presentation Model With WinForms

    - by Erik Ashepa
    Hi, I'm currently working on a brownfield application, it's written with winforms, as a preparation to use WPF in a later version, out team plans to at least use the MVVM/Presentation model, and bind it against winforms... I've explored the subject, including the posts in this site (which i love very much), when boiled down, the main advantage of wpf are : binding controls to properties in xaml. binding commands to command objects in the viewmodel. the first feature is easy to implement (in code), or with a generic control binder, which binds all the controls in the form. the second feature is a little harder to implement, but if you inherit from all your controls and add a command property (which is triggered by an internal event such as click), which is binded to a command instance in the ViewModel. The challenges I'm currently aware of are : implementing a commandmanager, (which will trigger the CanInvoke method of the commands as necessery. winforms only supports one level of databinding : datasource, datamember, wpf is much more flexible. am i missing any other major features that winforms lacks in comparison with wpf, when attempting to implement this design pattern? i sure many of you will recommend some sort of MVP pattern, but MVVM/Presentation model is the way to go for me, because I'll want future WPF support. Thanks in advance, Erik.

  • android View not attached to window manager...

    - by Daniel Benedykt
    Hi I am having some of the following exceptions: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: View not attached to window manager at android.view.WindowManagerImpl.findViewLocked(WindowManagerImpl.java:355) at android.view.WindowManagerImpl.updateViewLayout(WindowManagerImpl.java:191) at android.view.Window$LocalWindowManager.updateViewLayout(Window.java:428) at android.app.Dialog.onWindowAttributesChanged(Dialog.java:596) at android.view.Window.setDefaultWindowFormat(Window.java:1013) at com.android.internal.policy.impl.PhoneWindow.access$700(PhoneWindow.java:86) at com.android.internal.policy.impl.PhoneWindow$DecorView.drawableChanged(PhoneWindow.java:1951) at com.android.internal.policy.impl.PhoneWindow$DecorView.fitSystemWindows(PhoneWindow.java:1889) at android.view.ViewRoot.performTraversals(ViewRoot.java:727) at android.view.ViewRoot.handleMessage(ViewRoot.java:1633) at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:99) at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:123) at android.app.ActivityThread.main(ActivityThread.java:4338) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:521) at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run(ZygoteInit.java:860) at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:618) at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method) I have google it and see that it has something to do with popups and turning the screen, but there is no reference to my code. The questions are: 1) is there a way to find out exactly when this issue is happening? 2) other than turning the screen, is there another event or action that triggers this error? 3) how do I prevent this to happen? Thanks

  • MSAcpi_ThermalZoneTemperature class not showing actual temperature

    - by jchoudhury
    i want to fetch CPU Performance data in real time including temperature. i used the following code to get CPU Temperature: try { ManagementObjectSearcher searcher = new ManagementObjectSearcher("root\\WMI", "SELECT * FROM MSAcpi_ThermalZoneTemperature"); foreach (ManagementObject queryObj in searcher.Get()) { double temp = Convert.ToDouble(queryObj["CurrentTemperature"].ToString()); double temp_critical = Convert.ToDouble(queryObj["CriticalTripPoint"].ToString()); double temp_cel = (temp/10 - 273.15); double temp_critical_cel = temp_critical / 10 - 273.15; lblCurrentTemp.Text = temp_cel.ToString(); lblCriticalTemp.Text = temp_critical_cel.ToString(); } } catch (ManagementException e) { MessageBox.Show("An error occurred while querying for WMI data: " + e.Message); } but this code shows the temperature that is not the correct temperature. It ususally shows 49.5-50.5 degrees centigrade. But I used "OpenHardwareMonitor" that report CPU temperature over 71 degree centigrade and changing fractions along with time fractions. is there anything I am missing in the code? I used the above code in timer_click event for every 500ms interval to refresh the temperature reading but it's always showing the same temperature from the beginning of execution. That implies if you run this application and if it shows 49 degree then after 1 hour session, it'll constantly show 49 degree. Where is the problem? please help. Thanks in advance.

  • Failed to Install Xdebug

    - by burnt1ce
    've registered xdebug in php.ini (as per http://xdebug.org/docs/install) but it's not showing up when i run "php -m" or when i get a test page to run "phpinfo()". I've just installed the latest version of XAMPP. I've used both "zend_extention" and "zend_extention_ts" to specify the path of the xdebug dll. I ensured that my apache server restarted and used the latest change of my php.ini by executing "httpd -k restart". Can anyone provide any suggestions in getting xdebug to show up? Here are the contents of my php.ini file. [PHP] ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; ; About php.ini ; ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; ; PHP's initialization file, generally called php.ini, is responsible for ; configuring many of the aspects of PHP's behavior. ; PHP attempts to find and load this configuration from a number of locations. ; The following is a summary of its search order: ; 1. SAPI module specific location. ; 2. The PHPRC environment variable. (As of PHP 5.2.0) ; 3. A number of predefined registry keys on Windows (As of PHP 5.2.0) ; 4. Current working directory (except CLI) ; 5. The web server's directory (for SAPI modules), or directory of PHP ; (otherwise in Windows) ; 6. The directory from the --with-config-file-path compile time option, or the ; Windows directory (C:\windows or C:\winnt) ; See the PHP docs for more specific information. ; http://php.net/configuration.file ; The syntax of the file is extremely simple. Whitespace and Lines ; beginning with a semicolon are silently ignored (as you probably guessed). ; Section headers (e.g. [Foo]) are also silently ignored, even though ; they might mean something in the future. ; Directives following the section heading [PATH=/www/mysite] only ; apply to PHP files in the /www/mysite directory. Directives ; following the section heading [HOST=www.example.com] only apply to ; PHP files served from www.example.com. Directives set in these ; special sections cannot be overridden by user-defined INI files or ; at runtime. Currently, [PATH=] and [HOST=] sections only work under ; CGI/FastCGI. ; http://php.net/ini.sections ; Directives are specified using the following syntax: ; directive = value ; Directive names are *case sensitive* - foo=bar is different from FOO=bar. ; Directives are variables used to configure PHP or PHP extensions. ; There is no name validation. If PHP can't find an expected ; directive because it is not set or is mistyped, a default value will be used. ; The value can be a string, a number, a PHP constant (e.g. E_ALL or M_PI), one ; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an expression ; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), a quoted string ("bar"), or a reference to a ; previously set variable or directive (e.g. ${foo}) ; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and parentheses: ; | bitwise OR ; ^ bitwise XOR ; & bitwise AND ; ~ bitwise NOT ; ! boolean NOT ; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes. ; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No. ; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the equal ; sign, or by using the None keyword: ; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string ; foo = None ; sets foo to an empty string ; foo = "None" ; sets foo to the string 'None' ; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a ; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend extension), ; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the extension. ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; ; About this file ; ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; ; PHP comes packaged with two INI files. One that is recommended to be used ; in production environments and one that is recommended to be used in ; development environments. ; php.ini-production contains settings which hold security, performance and ; best practices at its core. But please be aware, these settings may break ; compatibility with older or less security conscience applications. We ; recommending using the production ini in production and testing environments. ; php.ini-development is very similar to its production variant, except it's ; much more verbose when it comes to errors. • Installing VSTO 4.0 Causes VSTO 3.0 Addin to quit working

However the error would indicate it's some sort of permissions issue.

  • Iterate over rows/checkboxes in a RadGrid

    - by ChessWhiz
    Hi, I have a Telerik RadGrid with a GridTemplateColumn that contains a checkbox, as follows: <telerik:GridTemplateColumn HeaderText="MINE" UniqueName="MyTemplateColumn"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:CheckBox id="MyCheckBox" runat="server"></asp:CheckBox> </ItemTemplate> </telerik:GridTemplateColumn> I want to set the box to be "checked" based on a value read from the database. I could handle the ItemDataBound event and read the database when each row is bound, but that results in n lookups. Instead, I want to handle DataBound, and then set all the values at once. So, in that method, I want code like this: // read all values from database first, then... foreach(var chkbox in MyRadGrid.MasterTableView.Columns.FindByUniqueName("MyTemplateColumn").FindControl("MyCheckBox")) { chkbox.Checked = oneValue; } That doesn't work, because FindControl isn't a method of GridColumn, and it won't generate an iterable list of the checkboxes. What is the correct way to iterate through the checkboxes in the template column? Thanks!

  • C# WebBrowser.ShowPrintDialog() not showing

    - by jeah_wicer
    I have this peculiar problem while wanting to print a html-report. The file itself is a normal local html file, located on my hard drive. To do this, I have tried the following: public static void PrintReport(string path) { WebBrowser wb = new WebBrowser(); wb.Navigate(path); wb.ShowPrintDialog() } And I have this form with a button with the click event: private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { string path = @"D:\MyReport.html"; PrintReport(path); } This does absolutely nothing. Which is kind of strange... but things get stranger... When editing the print function to do the following: public static void PrintReport(string path) { WebBrowser wb = new WebBrowser(); wb.Navigate(path); MessageBox.Show("TEST"); wb.ShowPrintDialog() } It works. Yes, only adding a MessageBox. The MessageBox is showing and after it comes the print dialog. I have also tried with Thread.Sleep(1000) instead, which doesn't work. Can anyone explain to me what's going on here? Why would a messagebox make any difference? Can it be some kind of permission problem? I've reproduced this on both Windows 7 and 8, same thing. I made this small application with only the above code to isolate the problem. I am quite sure it works on windows XP though, since an older version of the application I'm working on runs on it. When trying to do this directly with the mshtml-dll instead I also get problems. Any input or clarification is greatly appreciated!

  • Silverlight nested RadGridView SelectedItem DataContext

    - by Ciaran
    Hi, I'm developing a Silverlight 4 app and am using the 2010 Q1 release 1 RadGridView. I'm developing this app using the MVVM pattern and trying to keep my codebehind to a minimum. On my View I have a RadGridView and this binds to a property on my ViewModel. I am setting a property via the SelectedItem. I have a nested RadGridView and I want to set a property on my ViewModel to the SelectedItem but I cannot. I think the DataContext of my nested grid is the element in the parent's bound collection, rather than my ViewModel. I can easily use codebehind to set my ViewModel property from the SelectionChanged event on the nested grid, but I'd rather not do this. I have tried to use my viewModelName in the ElementName in my nested grid to specify that for SelectedItem, the ViewModel is the DataContext, but I cannot get this to work. Any ideas? Here is my Xaml: <grid:RadGridView x:Name="master" ItemsSource="{Binding EntityClassList, Mode=TwoWay}" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedEntityClass, Mode=TwoWay}" AutoGenerateColumns="False" > <grid:RadGridView.Columns> <grid:GridViewSelectColumn></grid:GridViewSelectColumn> <grid:GridViewDataColumn DataMemberBinding="{Binding Description}" Header="Description"/. </grid:RadGridView.Columns> <grid:RadGridView.RowDetailsTemplate> <DataTemplate> <grid:RadGridView x:Name="child" ItemsSource="{Binding EntityDetails, Mode=TwoWay}" SelectedItem="{Binding DataContext.SelectedEntityDetail, ElementName='RequestView', Mode=TwoWay}" AutoGenerateColumns="False" > <grid:RadGridView.Columns> <grid:GridViewSelectColumn></grid:GridViewSelectColumn> <grid:GridViewDataColumn DataMemberBinding="{Binding ServiceItem}" Header="Service Item" /> <grid:GridViewDataColumn DataMemberBinding="{Binding Comment}" Header="Comments" /> </grid:RadGridView.Columns> </grid:RadGridView> </DataTemplate> </grid:RadGridView.RowDetailsTemplate> </grid:RadGridView>

  • Visual Studio 2008 doesn't create *.refresh files for external DLL references... what am I missing?

    - by Cory Larson
    Hi all-- I've got a question about something that's just been irritating me. A colleague and I are building a support framework for our current client that we want to reference in other projects. The DLL we want as a reference in our project would be an external reference. We're adding it by doing "Add Reference...", then browsing to the location of the .dll. What I want Visual Studio to do is only add the .xml, .pdb, and a .dll.refresh file, but instead it copies the actual .dll (and .xml and .pdb) into the bin. When we rebuild the framework project, the other project that uses its .dll gets all out of whack until we drop and re-add the reference. Everything I've read online says that VS2008 is supposed to create the .dll.refresh files for you, but it never does. Any ideas? Am I missing something or doing something wrong? At this point I'm ready to add a pre-build event to simply copy the framework .dll into my bin, but the .refresh file seems like less of a hassle if it would just work. Thanks, Cory

  • jQuery: How to check if a value exists in an array?

    - by Jannis
    Hello, I am trying to write a simple input field validation plugin at the moment (more of a learning exercise really) and thought this would not be too hard, seeing as all I should have to do is: Get input fields Store them in array with each one's value On submit of form check if array contains any empty strings But I seem to fail at writing something that checks for an empty string (read: input with no text inside) inside my array. Here is the code I have so far: var form = $(this), // passed in form element inputs = form.find('input'), // all of this forms input fields isValid = false; // initially set the form to not be valid function validate() { var fields = inputs.serializeArray(); // make an array out of input fields // start -- this does not work for (var n in fields) { if (fields[n].value == "") { isValid = false; console.log('failed'); } else { isValid = true; console.log('passed'); }; } // end -- this does not work }; // close validate() // TRIGGERS inputs.live('keyup blur', function(event) { validate(); }); Any help with how I can check if one of the fields is blank and if so return a isValid = false would be much appreciated. I also played around with the $.inArray("", fields) but this would never return 0 or 1 even when the console.log showed that the fields had no value. Thanks for reading.

I am having performance troubles with the ReportViewer Control, to be specific with the 2 methods reportViewer.ServerReport.SetParameters() and reportViewer.RefreshReport() – they both take a really long time to complete and not just on the very first call, but on each subsequent call as well. SetParameters() takes 20 to 40 seconds (they vary greatly in time, some execute event okay fast) and RefreshReport() is a bit faster but still takes ages. I don’t think the server is the culprit, as the same report viewed using the browser renders pretty fast, about a second tops. The report in question doesn't matter as well. When I break into the process and take a look at the call stack, I see a call to Socket.DoConnect. So I thought that’s a good reason to start using fiddler and I installed it, disabled caching and fired up the app again to see which call takes that long to connect, but the performance issue was gone. By using a proxy I am having the same performance as the webbrowser. FYI: I am using NTLM authentication in the following way: reportViewer.ServerReport.ReportServerCredentials.NetworkCredentials = new NetworkCredentials() { Username = ... } I don’t have a strong webbackground, so I guess my question is: What should this tell me / What should I be looking into? (Btw: Adding fiddler to my installation package is not the solution I am looking for :)) I am grateful for any pointers. Take care, -Martin

  • boost::asio::async_read_until problem

    - by user368831
    I'm trying to modify the echo server example from boost asio and I'm running into problem when I try to use boost::asio::async_read_until. Here's the code: #include <cstdlib> #include <iostream> #include <boost/bind.hpp> #include <boost/asio.hpp> using boost::asio::ip::tcp; class session { public: session(boost::asio::io_service& io_service) : socket_(io_service) { } tcp::socket& socket() { return socket_; } void start() { std::cout<<"starting"<<std::endl; boost::asio::async_read_until(socket_, boost::asio::buffer(data_, max_length), ' ', boost::bind(&session::handle_read, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error, boost::asio::placeholders::bytes_transferred)); } void handle_read(const boost::system::error_code& error, size_t bytes_transferred) { std::cout<<"handling read"<<std::endl; if (!error) { boost::asio::async_write(socket_, boost::asio::buffer(data_, bytes_transferred), boost::bind(&session::handle_write, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); } else { delete this; } } void handle_write(const boost::system::error_code& error) { if (!error) { /* socket_.async_read_some(boost::asio::buffer(data_, max_length), boost::bind(&session::handle_read, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error, boost::asio::placeholders::bytes_transferred)); */ } else { delete this; } } private: tcp::socket socket_; enum { max_length = 1024 }; char data_[max_length]; }; class server { public: server(boost::asio::io_service& io_service, short port) : io_service_(io_service), acceptor_(io_service, tcp::endpoint(tcp::v4(), port)) { session* new_session = new session(io_service_); acceptor_.async_accept(new_session->socket(), boost::bind(&server::handle_accept, this, new_session, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); } void handle_accept(session* new_session, const boost::system::error_code& error) { if (!error) { new_session->start(); new_session = new session(io_service_); acceptor_.async_accept(new_session->socket(), boost::bind(&server::handle_accept, this, new_session, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); } else { delete new_session; } } private: boost::asio::io_service& io_service_; tcp::acceptor acceptor_; }; int main(int argc, char* argv[]) { try { if (argc != 2) { std::cerr << "Usage: async_tcp_echo_server <port>\n"; return 1; } boost::asio::io_service io_service; using namespace std; // For atoi. server s(io_service, atoi(argv[1])); io_service.run(); } catch (std::exception& e) { std::cerr << "Exception: " << e.what() << "\n"; } return 0; } The problem is when I try to compile I get this weird error: server.cpp: In member function ‘void session::start()’: server.cpp:27: error: no matching function for call to ‘async_read_until(boost::asio::basic_stream_socket &, boost::asio::mutable_buffers_1, char, boost::_bi::bind_t, boost::_bi::list3, boost::arg<1 ()(), boost::arg<2 ()() )’ Can someone please explain what's going on? From what I can tell the arguments to async_read_until are correct. Thanks!

  • boost::asio::async_read_until problem

    - by user368831
    Hi again, I'm modify the boost asio echo example to use async_read_until to read the input word by word. Even though I am using async_read_until all the data sent seems to be read from the socket. Could someone please advise: #include <cstdlib> #include <iostream> #include <boost/bind.hpp> #include <boost/asio.hpp> using boost::asio::ip::tcp; class session { public: session(boost::asio::io_service& io_service) : socket_(io_service) { } tcp::socket& socket() { return socket_; } void start() { std::cout<<"starting"<<std::endl; boost::asio::async_read_until(socket_, buffer, ' ', boost::bind(&session::handle_read, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error, boost::asio::placeholders::bytes_transferred)); } void handle_read(const boost::system::error_code& error, size_t bytes_transferred) { std::ostringstream ss; ss<<&buffer; std::string s = ss.str(); std::cout<<s<<std::endl; if (!error) { boost::asio::async_write(socket_, boost::asio::buffer(s), boost::bind(&session::handle_write, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); } else { delete this; } } void handle_write(const boost::system::error_code& error) { std::cout<<"handling write"<<std::endl; if (!error) { } else { delete this; } } private: tcp::socket socket_; boost::asio::streambuf buffer; }; class server { public: server(boost::asio::io_service& io_service, short port) : io_service_(io_service), acceptor_(io_service, tcp::endpoint(tcp::v4(), port)) { session* new_session = new session(io_service_); acceptor_.async_accept(new_session->socket(), boost::bind(&server::handle_accept, this, new_session, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); } void handle_accept(session* new_session, const boost::system::error_code& error) { if (!error) { new_session->start(); new_session = new session(io_service_); acceptor_.async_accept(new_session->socket(), boost::bind(&server::handle_accept, this, new_session, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); } else { delete new_session; } } private: boost::asio::io_service& io_service_; tcp::acceptor acceptor_; }; int main(int argc, char* argv[]) { try { if (argc != 2) { std::cerr << "Usage: async_tcp_echo_server <port>\n"; return 1; } boost::asio::io_service io_service; using namespace std; // For atoi. server s(io_service, atoi(argv[1])); io_service.run(); } catch (std::exception& e) { std::cerr << "Exception: " << e.what() << "\n"; } return 0; } Thanks!

  • RadGrid Custom Filter

    - by Aaron
    I'm trying to add a custom filter to my RadGrid. I have a column, vendNum, which I want to allow users to filter on multiple vendNums with a comma-separated list. Basically, I want the same functionality as an "in" statement in SQL (where vendNum in (X,Y,Z)). I followed the tutorial on this site and came up with the following code to place in my RadGrid1_ItemCommand event. protected void RadGrid1_ItemCommand(object source, GridCommandEventArgs e) { if (e.CommandName == RadGrid.FilterCommandName) { Pair filterPair = (Pair)e.CommandArgument; switch (filterPair.Second.ToString()) { case "vendNum": TextBox tbPattern = (e.Item as GridFilteringItem)["vendNum"].Controls[0] as TextBox; if (tbPattern.Text.Contains(",")) { string[] values = tbPattern.Text.Split(','); if (values.Length >= 2) { e.Canceled = true; StringBuilder newFilter = new StringBuilder(); for (int i = 0; i < values.Length; i++) { if (i == values.Length - 1) newFilter.Append("[vendNum] = " + values[i]); else newFilter.Append("[vendNum] = " + values[i] + " OR "); } if (RadGrid1.MasterTableView.FilterExpression == "") RadGrid1.MasterTableView.FilterExpression = newFilter.ToString(); else RadGrid1.MasterTableView.FilterExpression = "((" + RadGrid1.MasterTableView.FilterExpression + ") AND (" + newFilter.ToString() + "))"; RadGrid1.Rebind(); } } break; default: break; } } } Doing this, though, keeps giving me an error "Expression Expected" when I try to filter with a comma separated list. I'm still able to filter a single vendNum. My FilterExpression does come out as expected. The code is failing on the RadGrid1.Rebind() statement. Has anyone dealt with this before? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Aaron

  • motion computation from video using pyglet in python

    - by kuaywai
    Hi, I am writing a simple motion detection program but i want it to be cross platform so im using python and the pyglet library since it provides a simple way to load videos in different formats (specially wmv and mpeg). So far i have the code given below which loads the movie and plays it in a window. Now i need to: 1) grab frame at time t and t-1 2) do a subtraction to see which pixels are active for motion detection. any ideas on how to grab frames and to skip over frames and is it possible to put the pixel values into a matrix in numpy or something directly from pyglet? or should look into using something other than pyglet? thanks kuaywai import pyglet import sys window = pyglet.window.Window(resizable=True) window.set_minimum_size(320,200) window.set_caption('Motion detect 1.0') video_intro = pyglet.resource.media('movie1.wmv') player = pyglet.media.Player() player.queue(video_intro) print 'calculating movie size...' if not player.source or not player.source.video_format: sys.exit myWidth = player.source.video_format.width myHeight = player.source.video_format.height if player.source.video_format.sample_aspect 1: myWidth *= player.source.video_format.sample_aspect elif player.source.video_format.sample_aspect < 1: myHeight /= player.source.video_format.sample_aspect print 'its size is %d,%d' % (myWidth,myHeight) player.play() @window.event def on_draw(): window.clear() (w,h) = window.get_size() player.get_texture().blit(0, h-myHeight, width=myWidth, height=myHeight) pyglet.app.run()

  • Installing an exe with Powershell DSC Package resource gets return code 1619

    - by Jay Spang
    I'm trying to use Powershell DSC's Package resource to install an exe... Perforce's P4V to be specific. Here's my code: Configuration PerforceMachine { Node "SERVERNAME" { Package P4V { Ensure = "Present" Name = "Perforce Visual Components" Path = "\\nas\share\p4vinst64.exe" ProductId = '' Arguments = "/S /V/qn" # args for silent mode LogPath = "$env:ProgramData\p4v_install.log" } } } When running this, this is the error Powershell gives me: PowerShell provider MSFT_PackageResource failed to execute Set-TargetResource functionality with error message: The return code 1619 was not expected. Configuration is likely not correct + CategoryInfo : InvalidOperation: (:) [], CimException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : ProviderOperationExecutionFailure + PSComputerName : SERVERNAME According to documentation, return code 1619 means the MSI package couldn't be opened. However, when I manually log in to the machine and run "\\nas\share\p4vinst64.exe /S /V/qn", the install works flawlessly. Does anyone know why this is failing? Alternately, can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this? I pasted all the error information I got from the terminal, my log file (p4v_install.log) is a 0 byte file, and there are no events in the event viewer. I don't know how to troubleshoot it any further! EDIT: I should note that I also tried using the File resource to copy the file locally, and then install it from there. Sadly, that met with the same result.

  • jQuery FullCalendar JSON date issue

    - by durilai
    I am integrating jQuery plugin FullCalendar, overall it has been really straightforward. I however have ran into a problem with adding events to the calendar. I am using ASP.NET MVC 1.0 and have found and followed this post. I am returning JSON to the FullCalendar and the events are getting bound, but they all show up as all day events. I am formatting the dates as ISO8601 format. Calendar Javascript $('#calendar').fullCalendar({ events: "/Calendar/GetEvents/" }); JsonResult public JsonResult GetEvents(double start, double end) { var fromDate = Utility.Dates.ConvertFromUnixTimestamp(start); var toDate = Utility.Dates.ConvertFromUnixTimestamp(end); List<GenericEventList> events = GETGENERICLISTOFEVENTS(); return Json(events.ToArray()); } JSON Result Value [{"id":2,"title":"Test Event","start":"2010-03-14T11:00:00","end":"2010-03-14T16:00:00"}, {"id":3,"title":"Test Event1asasas","start":"2010-03-14T10:00:00","end":"2010-03-14T14:00:00"}, {"id":4,"title":"Test Event12","start":"2010-03-14T16:00:00","end":"2010-03-14T17:00:00"}, {"id":6,"title":"Test Event1aaa","start":"2010-03-14T10:00:00","end":"2010-03-14T14:00:00"}] Any help is truly appreciated!

  • DirectionsDistance in google maps API v3

    - by Yawn
    Hey, I'm trying to work out how to use this to get the distance from the successful directions: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/v3/reference.html#DirectionsDistance This is the code I have so far: var googleMaps = { // HTML Nodes fromInput: google_maps_from, toInput: google_maps_to, // API Objects dirService: new google.maps.DirectionsService(), dirRenderer: new google.maps.DirectionsRenderer(), map: null, showDirections: function(dirResult, dirStatus) { if (dirStatus != google.maps.DirectionsStatus.OK) { //Here we'll handle the errors a bit better :P alert('Directions failed: ' + dirStatus); return; } else { //Get the distance here //onGDirectionsLoad(); } // Show directions googleMaps.dirRenderer.setMap(googleMaps.map); googleMaps.dirRenderer.setPanel(document.getElementById("directions")); googleMaps.dirRenderer.setDirections(dirResult); }, getSelectedTravelMode: function() { return google.maps.DirectionsTravelMode.DRIVING; }, getSelectedUnitSystem: function() { return google.maps.DirectionsUnitSystem.METRIC; }, getDirections: function() { var fromStr = googleMaps.fromInput; var toStr = googleMaps.toInput; var dirRequest = { origin: fromStr, destination: toStr, travelMode: googleMaps.getSelectedTravelMode(), unitSystem: googleMaps.getSelectedUnitSystem(), provideTripAlternatives: true }; googleMaps.dirService.route(dirRequest, googleMaps.showDirections); }, init: function() { googleMaps.map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), { zoom: 13, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP }); // Show directions onload googleMaps.getDirections(); } }; // Onload handler to fire off the app. google.maps.event.addDomListener(window, 'load', googleMaps.init); I could do this just fine in v2, just having trouble working out the v3 equivalent :x

  • Determine size of SizeToContent WPF Window before its rendered

    - by DudeFX
    I have a window in my WPF application that is displayed on occasion. When it is shown it is faded in with an annimation, and when closed it is faded out. Nothing fancy, just a storyboard that modifies the opacity. Actually the window is never really closed, the opacity is just faded out to 0 where it remains until its to be displayed again. This window is an informative window and doesn't always show the same content. It is sized to content (Width and Height) and works well in that regard. The user chooses the basic area of the screen for it to be displayed (TopLeft, TopRight, Center, BottomLeft, BottomRight). Before the window is faded in the content is updated. Because the window is sized to content it increases or descreases in size. The width and height can change. When positioning the window, lets say, in the bottom right corner, I simply take the WorkingArea of the screen (width and height) and then minus the width/height of the window to get the Top and Left position that I need. The logic works, but the trouble I am having is the Window's Height and Width is not returning the size it is after the content was updated, but is returning the size it was the last time it was displayed. I am assuming this is because it hasn't yet been rendered with the new content. This causes me grief becuase if the Window is larger than it was the last time it obviously extends off the screen. I tried positioning the window in the OnContentRendered event, but this only fires once when the Window is created, not after the content has been updated, when the opacity is set to 0. Does anyone have any idea how I might get an accurate width and height of this window before it is faded in? Any help would be appreciated!!

  • External JS usage in FBML - Cannot access external script

    - by santhakr
    Hi, I am trying to create a small facebook app and associate it to a fan page in a tab. I am trying to include an external javascript file in my page and call a method on a button click event. Below is a part of the code <script language="Javascript" src="http://mysite.com/fb.js"></script> <input type="button" value="Click....." onClick="javascript:showDialog();" /> content of fb.js is as below function showDialog() { new Dialog().showMessage('Dialog', 'Button clickeed'); } When I load the tab in my fan page, it shows an error "Cannot allow external script", whereas when I load the canvas url [http://apps.facebook.com/...] directly and click on the button, it works [shows the dialog]. Does script include works only on the canvas and not on the profile page? I have another question though Initially I had the script src as a relative path but it errored out with the same error - "Cannot allow external script". Can't I use relative path for the external scripts?

  • Rebinding events in jQuery after Ajax update (updatepanel)

    - by Hojou
    I have several input and option elements on my page, each (well almost) have an event attached to update some text on the page once they change. I use jQuery which is really really cool :) I also use Microsofts Ajax framework, utilizing the UpdatePanel. The reason why I do that is that certain elements are created on the page based on some server-side logic. I don't really want to explain why I use the UpdatePanel - even if it could (it can with quite some effort) be rewritten to use only jQuery I still want that UpdatePanel. You probably guessed it - once I have a postback on the UpdatePanel the jQuery events stops working. I actually was expecting this, since the "postback" is not really a new postback so my code in document.ready that binds the events won't be fired again. I also confirmed my suspicion by reading up on it in the jQuery help libraries. Anyway I'm left with the problem of rebinding my controls after the UpdatePanel is done updating the DOM. I preferably need a solution that does not require adding more .js files (jQuery plug-ins) to the page but something as simple as being able to catch the UpdatePanel's 'afterupdating' where I can just call my method to rebind all the form elements.
