I am working on parsing plain text and converting it to key-value pairs.
For example, plain text:
some_uninteresting_thing
key1 valueA, valueB, valueC
key2 valueD
key3 valueE valueF
key4 valueG(valueH, valueI)
key5 some_uninteresting_thing valueJ some_uninteresting_thing
key6 some_uninteresting_thing
(key6 shouldn't be mapped because has no appropriate values) As you can see plain text is lenient. What java library can handle this? If no such library exist, any suggestions on algorithm to do this.

Hi all,
I'm writing a Java applet where I should be able to simulate a connection between two hosts. Hence I have to generate packet round-trip times at random.
These RTTs can go from ~0 to infinity, but are typically oscillating around some average value (i.e. an extremely large or small value is very improbable but possible). I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how I could do this?
Thanks in advance
My application has recently started throwing NoClassDefFoundError errors when I am running my application from within NetBeans. It never used to do this.
And when I run this outside of NetBeans using the command line argument that it provides once built, these errors are not produced
Is this a bug with Netbeans?
I have reinstalled NetBeans as I recently had another that was resolved by reinstalling, however the problem still persists.

Is there an easy way to convert between color models in Java (RGB, HSV and Lab).
Assuming RGB color model:
How do I calculate black body spectrum color palette? I want to use it for a heatmap chart.
How about single-wavelength spectrum?
Edit: I found that the ColorSpace class can be used for conversions between RGB/CIE and many other color models.
I want to learn a simple language so I can code simple things maybe eventually a game but I don't know where to start. I can code simple things using apple script but you can't do that much with that and it only works on macs. I have a mac and a dell so something that I could code and run on both would be nice. Also all my school offers is java so if you have any ideas on how to learn the language that would be appreciated. Thanks

what's are the uses of the host param with java applets?
can it be tricked to use a different server than the originating server?
I didn't find a clear complete explanation of the host param.

In a jboss service I need to mock some inner class (not EJB) with JMockit. Just for tests I've created inner class ToBeMocked and another one Mock. While deploying to jboss I get error NoClassDefFoundError in line:
Mockit.setUpMock(ToBeMocked.class, new Mock());
with message:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: mockit/Mockit
jmockit.jar is added to the classpath in jboss_service.xml.
Any ideas?
I am currently accepting the parameters login and password in my servlet, but logs are storing this info when using wget (as long as it is GET method, and apache is in the middle)
Instead of this I want to enhance my servlet's authentication accepting:
wget --http-user=login --http-password=password http://myhost/myServlet
How can I read, in my servlet, the server side, the login and the password user is sending, in java code?

Hi, I am currently running JDK 6 on Windows 7 and have installed the Unlimited Strength Policy Files. I wrote a Java app some time ago which used to work but now fails, giving an error message indicating that the SHA1PRNG SecureRandom is not available. I have tried printing a list of cryptographic providers available on the platform and it would appear that there are no secure random number generators available - does anyone have any idea why this might be?
Many thanks in advance for your help!
Yesterday I asked this question: Is this possible to make as an option dialog?
and I learned it could be made with JDialog. I'm using Netbeans GUI editor and made a button that will call my custom JDialog I designed in the GUI editor. The JDialog is called jDialog1. How do I call the jDialog1 with the button?
