  • what kind of certificate needed for my application ?

    I am releasing free C# softwares I've created using Visual Studio. In the future, some of these softwares might become Paid. I was wondering if I need to purchase any kind of license for them ? I understand that it's good to have a certificate for your website (SSL?), if your trying to sell your software but what about your applications ? I just don't want anti-virus/browsers flagging my application as not trusted. Any suggestion is appreciated.

    I have a Python application that shows a systray icon, but it just won't appear in Ubuntu 12.04 session fallback mode (Gnome Classic WITH effects). It appears in 10.04, and in 12.04 with Unity. The problem is just in Gnome Classic. I've already set: gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['all']" and I installed indicator-applet-complete but Alt-Win-right click won't work Anyone has any idea what can be wrong ?

I just found out that the same name is being used by a, seemingly popular, SourceForge project. Is this a problem? Now my Downloads folder which had at least 60-80GB of data is completely cleaned but the system is not reporting the available the correct free space.
