• Setting up path mapping in PHP and Eclipse

  I have just setup my website locally so I can test my pages more easily. Eclipse has been configured to use an XAMPP server locally. The problem is that I want to map my project to a certain place in my website. ie. In my Eclipse PHP project I have a folder called com I want this to map to /com in the webstie. I tried to do this in the mapping section of the Eclipse server setup but it didn't work. When I type http://localhost/com/ It should go to my project folder, however, when I type other folder it should use the normal website folders. how can I do this?

• Does an HttpHandler require an aspnet_isapi.dll mapping

  Hi, If I configure (via web.config) an httphandler to handle all .gif requests for a specific folder, is it absolutely essential for me to map .gif requests to aspnet_isapi.dll in IIS? Is there any other way of ensuring that the .gif http request will be handled by aspnet_isapi.dll? I have a server configured where the virtual dir that contained the .gif-aspnet_isapi.dll mapping has been deleted, but the .gif requests are still being passed to the handler. Anyone know how this might be being done, and where the setting might be lurking? Thanks

• Asynchrous calls cause StaleObjectStateException

  Hi all, I'm struggling with a Grails service.   I am using Spring HibernateTemplate and need to insert hundreds of records into a mysql database every second. Not sure what is the most performant way of doing it, but I am trying to see how the multi value mysql inserts do using hibernate. • HQL: illegal attempt to dereference collection

  The situation is like this: I have an entity Book that holds a one-to-many relationship with Chapter. Now if I try the query, "from Book book inner join book.chapters chapter where chapter.title like '%hibernate%'", it gives me the desired result. But if I try, "from Book where book.chapters.title like '%hibernate%'", I get the error illegal attempt to dereference collection. The thing is that I only want the collection of Book objects in return and not a collection of pair of Book and Chapter objects in return which I get with the former query. Could someone help me understand?

• How easy would it be to refactor a small JSP/Servlet/JDBC project to SpringMVC/Hibernate

  With reference to this post, I am considering starting a new web-based Java project. Since I don't know Spring/Hibernate I was concerned if it's a bad plan to start learning them while creating a new project, especially since it will slow down the early development. One idea I had was to write a prototype using tech I do know, namely JSP/Servlets/JDBC, since I can get this running much quicker with my current knowledge. I could then throw the whole thing away and start over with Spring, etc, but I'd like to consider how easy it would be to refactor a smallish project from JSP/Servlets/JDB to SpringMVC/Hibernate? My DB could of course be re-used but what about other code... would I expect to save most of it plugged into an MVC framework, or is the paradigm shift big enough this would cause more trouble than it avoids? Please use the other question for more general advice on choosing technologies

  I was always sure (don't know why) that it's better to add annotations to variables, but while browsing the Hibernate doc http://docs.jboss.org/hibernate/stable/annotations/reference/en/html_single/#entity-hibspec-collection I noticed they tend to annotate the methods. So should I put my annotations before methods, like this: @Entity public class Flight implements Serializable { private long id; @Id @GeneratedValue public long getId() { return id; } public void setId(long id) { this.id = id; } } Or is it better to do it like this: @Entity public class Flight implements Serializable { @Id @GeneratedValue private long id; public long getId() { return id; } public void setId(long id) { this.id = id; } } Or maybe there's no difference?

• Problem mapping data located in a NSMutableArray

  I have an NSMutableArray which contains some addresses which I need to map using Apple's MapKit SDK which I can't seem to get to load. The NSLog keeps telling me that the data source is (null) and a 0x0 error displays when I attempt to print out the array. Any ideas? The data is parsed and stored from another class, perhaps I'm not linking it across properly? The data is originally gathered from an RSS feed, bought into the app with an IMporter class, and then displayed in a table view. I want to be able to connect into that data with my mapping class, but am struggling to do so.

• SQL Server Mapping a user to a login and adding roles programmatically

  In my SQL Server 2005 server I create databases and logins using Management Studio. My application requires that I give a newly created user read and write permissions to another database. To do this I right-click the newly created login, select properties and go to User Mapping. I put a check beside the database to map this login to the db and select db_datareader and db_datawriter as the roles to map. Can this be done programmatically? I've read about using Alter User and sp_change_users_login but I'm having problems getting these to work, since sp_change_users_login has been deprecated so I'd prefer to use Alter User. Please note my understanding of SQL Server database users/logins/roles is basic

I've tried all the ways I know of but I can't make it work. What's more surprising is that the onSave method works fine. Help ! Could this be due to this bug ? : http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-1956 How can I circumvent this bug if it's the cause ?

  I would like to implement pagination in my Servlet/EJB/JPA-Hibernate project, but I can't figure out how only one page from the query and know the number of pages I must display I use setFirstResult(int first) ; setMaxResults(int max) ; and that's working alright, but how can I know how many pages I will have in total? (Hibernate is my JPA provider, but I would prefer using only JPA if possible) UPDATE: COUNT() seems to be the better/easiest solution; but what can be the cost of SELECT COUNT(*) FROM ... in comparison with executeQuery("SELECT * FROM ...).getListResult().size() ?

• Reset JPA generated value between tests

  I'm running spring + hibernate + JUnit with springJunit4runner and transactional set to default rollback I'm using in-memory derbydb as Database. Hibernate is used as a JPA Provider and I am successfully testing CRUD kinds of stuff. However, I have a problem with JPA and the behaviour of @GeneratedValue If I run one of my tests in isolation, two entitys are persisted with id 1 and 2. If i run the whole test suite the ids are instead 6 and 7. Spring does rollbacks just fine so there are only these two entitys in the database after addition and of course zero before. But behaviour of @GeneratedValue doesn't allow me to reliable findById unless I would return the Id from the dao.add(Entity e) //method I don't feel like doing that for the sake of testing, or is it a good practise to return the entity that was persisted so I should be doing it anyway?

• Efficient way to access a mapping of identifiers in Python

  I am writing an app to do a file conversion and part of that is replacing old account numbers with a new account numbers. Right now I have a CSV file mapping the old and new account numbers with around 30K records. I read this in and store it as dict and when writing the new file grab the new account from the dict by key. My question is what is the best way to do this if the CSV file increases to 100K+ records? Would it be more efficient to convert the account mappings from a CSV to a sqlite database rather than storing them as a dict in memory?

I am copying entries from one table to an "archive" table that has all the columns of the original, plus a couple extra ones. • How to change key mappings in Cygwin's Vim

  I'm using Vim under Debian, Win Vista and WinXP (the latter two with Cygwin). To handle tabs more easily, I mapped <C-Left> and <C-Right> to :tab(prev|next). This mapping works like a charm on the Debian machine. On the Windows machines, however, pressing <C-Left> deletes 5 lines, as far as I can tell, and meddles with cursor position, while <C-Right> does this, too, and additionally enters Insert mode. Question: To put it in a nutshell, how can I find out, why Vim behaves as it does? Is there a way to backtrace the active commands and keystrokes? Could there be a plugin the culprit? (I didn't install one, perhaps a default include by the Cygwin distro...) If so, how can I find it? Edit 1: OK, it seems, that I got a first trace: The terminal sends for <C-Left> '^[[1;5D', and for right '^[[1;5C' (evaluated with the <C-V><C-Left> trick). If vim interprets this literally and discards the first characters, it explains the strange behaviour. Any ideas, how I could change this key mapping? Additional Diagnosis: This behaviour occurs regardless of any existing ~/.vimrc file (is therefore not related to my above mentioned mapings) and is not inherited of some /etc/vim/vimrc, since this doesn't exist in the default Cygwin installation. :verbose map doesn't yield any new insights. Either nothing or my mentioned mappings appear, based on the existence of the .vimrc file :help <C-Left> suggests, that the default would be a simple cursor movement, which is apparently not the case.   I have unix users authenticating to an PDC (via winbind) and want to have the primary group of those users a local unix group (e.g. www-data). users have the group "domain users" with gid 10006 (as the gid winbind mapping) idmap uid = 10000-20000 idmap gid = 10000-20000 winbind enum groups = yes winbind enum users = yes winbind use default domain = yes winbind nested groups = yes but want that the primary group is 33 for all users (www-data) how to achieve that?

In hopes of striving for looser coupling, how would you suggest abstracting out this pattern? Also, what's the best approach for mapping 0..N functions to a fired event?
