  • How can I get reports for last 24h in SQL?

    I need to get all reports made in last 24h, table has CreatedDate column, so I need to check in database that report was created in last 24h. I know I can use getdate() to get current date, but how can I minus 24h from that attrbiute and then compare that date with CretedDate?

    I have the below tables. tblInput Id WordPosition Words -- ----------- ----- 1 1 Hi 1 2 How 1 3 are 1 4 you 2 1 Ok 2 2 This 2 3 is 2 4 me tblReplacement Id ReplacementWords --- ---------------- 1 Hi 2 are 3 Ok 4 This The tblInput holds the list of words while the tblReplacement hold the words that we need to search in the tblInput and if a match is found then we need to replace those. But the problem is that, we need to replace those words if any match is found at the beginning. i.e. in the tblInput, in case of ID 1, the words that will be replaced is only 'Hi' and not 'are' since before 'are', 'How' is there and it is not in the tblReplacement list. in case of Id 2, the words that will be replaced are 'Ok' & 'This'. Since these both words are present in the tblReplacement table and after the first word i.e. 'Ok' is replaced, the second word which is 'This' here comes first in the list of ID category 2 . Since it is available in the tblReplacement, and is the first word now, so this will also be replaced. So the desired output will be Id NewWordsAfterReplacement --- ------------------------ 1 How 1 are 1 you 2 is 2 me My approach so far: ;With Cte1 As( Select t1.Id ,t1.Words ,t2.ReplacementWords From tblInput t1 Cross Join tblReplacement t2) ,Cte2 As( Select Id, NewWordsAfterReplacement = REPLACE(Words,ReplacementWords,'') From Cte1) Select * from Cte2 where NewWordsAfterReplacement <> '' But I am not getting the desired output.   • Forcing value to boolean: (bool) makes warning, !! doesnt.

    I like (bool) way more, but it generates warnings. How do i get rid off the warnings? I have code like: bool something_else = 0; void switcher(int val = -1){ if(val != -1){ something_else = (bool)val; }else{ something_else ^= 1; } } Should i just do it like everyone else and use '!!' or make it somehow hide the warning messages when using (bool) ? Or is '!!' actually faster than (bool) ? I would like to use (bool) and so i have to hide the warning, but how?

  • Can't get rails app to start on heroku

    I'm trying to deploy a rails app to heroku, but keep getting the following error. I'd have thought that managing the postgres gems would be something heroku would handle. I've tried everything I can think of short of installing postgres on my local machine, which I'd need to do if I wanted to install the postgres gem. There's also no gem called activerecord-postgresql-adapter... I'm guessing this is the standard adapter that comes with rails?? Any thoughts on how to fix this?   • Weird Rails database errors

    I've had some trouble getting my Rails app to connect to PostgreSQL so I decided to just say screw it and use SQLite for now. (I'm using the tutorial here: http://guides.rubyonrails.org/getting_started.html) I started a BRAND NEW, fresh Rails app from this tutorial. When I visit my app in the browser after deleting public/index.html, I get this the first time: Please install the pg adapter: `gem install activerecord-pg-adapter` (no such file to load -- active_record/connection_adapters/pg_adapter) That's odd to me because I'm not mentioning PostgreSQL anywhere. Here's my databases.yml: # SQLite version 3.x # gem install sqlite3-ruby (not necessary on OS X Leopard) development: adapter: sqlite3 database: db/development.sqlite3 pool: 5 timeout: 5000 # Warning: The database defined as "test" will be erased and # re-generated from your development database when you run "rake". # Do not set this db to the same as development or production. test: adapter: sqlite3 database: db/test.sqlite3 pool: 5 timeout: 5000 production: adapter: sqlite3 database: db/production.sqlite3 pool: 5 timeout: 5000 To make things more confusing, I only get that "pg adapter" error on the first load. For every subsequent page request, I get this error: ActiveRecord::ConnectionNotEstablished So even though I removed all mention of PostgreSQL, I'm still getting errors. What could be going on?

    Google Maps newbie (GIS newbie), I'm looking at a solution to map an overlay (number of polygons) on-top of Google maps and wondered if using a KML file was a viable solution? Basically, I have a number of address (address data) that I will pass to our internal GIS system, the GIS system hands me back a KML file (one file with a number of different locations) and then I draw the polygon using the KML Layering options: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/layers Sound like a viable solution?   • Cannot access Tomcat application remotely, but can access Apache applications

    I am installing Atlassian's Confluence 4.2 on a clean Ubuntu 12.04 server. Confluence runs on Tomcat 6, and uses PostgreSQL 9.1 as its datastore. I've installed and configured phpPgAdmin to manage PostgreSQL, and Zentyal to manage the server generally. Both these applications use Apache. The problem that I am experiencing is that while I can access phpPgAdmin and Zentyal without problem from a remote PC, I can only access Confluence when running locally (either specified by localhost, IP address or host name). Instead I get an HTTP 502 Connection Failed error. By way of experimentation, I also installed Ajenti, which appears to use lighttpd rather than Apache or Tomcat, and it too works fine when connected to locally, but gives me the same HTTP 502 error when connected to remotely. So applications served from Apache work fine, but applications served from other services do not - does that ring a bell with anyone? It's been over 10 years since I last sysadmin'ed a Linux box, so I'm more than a little rusty!

    I have a problem with a slightly customised Debian image that I'm trying to do some headless work on. The problem is that the installed locales list has been reduced to this: C en_GB en_GB.iso88591 en_GB.iso885915 en_GB.utf8 POSIX However, when I log in as root (with an otherwise as-vanilla profile), I find this: ~# set | grep LC_ LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 That's the only LC_ environment variable set, and presumably that means that it's being explicitly set somewhere (and given that /etc/default/locale only contains LANG=en_GB, I can't see any other alternative). However, I can't see where it is being set, and the fact that it's wrong is preventing, for example, postgresql-8.4 from installing. I know I can do an LC_CTYPE=en_GB apt-get install postgresql-8.4 to work around this, but I'd really like to understand where this setting comes from, and I really dislike the idea of installing an otherwise-unnecessary locale to make this go away. So: where does this LC_CTYPE setting come from, and how do I make it go away?

    I would like to achieve rotation of nginx logs that: would work without any extra software (i.e. - best if without "logrotate") would create rotated files with names based on date Best approach is something like PostgreSQL has - i.e. in it's log_filename config variable I can specify strftime-style %Y-%m-%d, and it will automatically change log on date (or time) change. Another approach from apache - sending logs via pipe to rotatelogs program. As far as I was able to search - no such approach exists. All I can do, is to use logrotate with dateext option, but it has it's own set of drawbacks, and I'd rather use something that works like |rotatelogs or log_filename in PostgreSQL.
