    if a have a query like following = Relations.objects.filter(initiated_by = request.user) in which i'm having all the users followed by the currently logged in user, and i want to display those user's blog posts. Using a query like: blog = New.objects.filter(created_by = following) it only shows me the blog posts of the user with the id = 1 (though the currently logged in user doesn't actually follow him) in template i have : {% for object in blog %} <a href='/accounts/profile_view/{{object.created_by}}/'> {{object.created_by}}</a> <br /> {{object.post}}<br /> {% endfor %} Where am i wrong?

  • Filter Datagrid onLoad

    My data grid successfully filters when I select a month from a dropdown list, however when I try to filter it onLoad it just doesn't filter.   • Why is FF on OS X loosing jQuery-UI in click event handler?

    In a web page using jQUery 1.7.1 and jQUery-UI 1.8.18, if I output $.ui in an alert box when the document is ready, I get [object Object]. However when using Firefox, if I output $.ui in a click event handler, I get 'undefined' as result. With other browsers (latest versions of IE, Chrome and Safari), the result is still [object Object] when clicking on the link. UPDATE: IF I replace my alerts with simply alert($); I get this result for alert A: function (selector, context) { return new jQuery.fn.init(selector, context, rootjQuery); } and this one for alert B: function (a, b) { return new d.fn.init(a, b, g); } This does not make sense to me, although I may not be understanding well enough what $ is... UPDATE 2: I can only reproduce this problem using Firefox on OS X. On Firefox running on Windows 7, everything is fine.

    Lets say I have a 7 by 7 neighborhood around a pixel that looks like this 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 47 48 49 and I wanna filter the above by replacing the pixel p by the average of those pixels whose value lie in the range -10<=p_value <=10. I am new to image processing and I think in this case p_value is 25 and around 25 that are many pixel values in that range but don't exactly know to construct a convolution filter out of it.

    I happened to find myself having a basic filtering need: I have a list and I have to filter it by an attribute of the items. My code looked like this: list = [i for i in list if i.attribute == value] But then i thought, wouldn't it be better to write it like this? filter(lambda x: x.attribute == value, list) It's more readable, and if needed for performance the lambda could be taken out to gain something. Question is: are there any caveats in using the second way? Any performance difference? Am I missing the Pythonic Way™ entirely and should do it in yet another way (such as using itemgetter instead of the lambda)? Thanks in advance

    I'm working on a search component for an app I'm working on and I needed to add some filters to it. I've found an example and got the first filter working fine. Now I'm trying to add a second filter I'm running into problems... In the example I found they use filterFunctions, but I only get an option for filterFunction, why is that? Here's the example code productsCollection.filterFunctions = [ filterByPrice, filterByType, filterByCondition, filterByVendor ] And this is what I'm trying acData.filterFunction = [filterByStatus, filterByDate] but with this code I get the following error message - 1067: Implicit coercion of a value of type Array to an unrelated type Function. Why am I getting this error and how would I go about add multiple filters to my Array Collection? Thanks!

    I'm looking to create a filter that can give me two things: number of request pr minute, and average responsetime pr minute. I already got the individual readings, I'm just not sure how to add them up.     Let's say I have a list, and a filtering function. Using something like >>> filter(lambda x: x > 10, [1,4,12,7,42]) [12, 42] I can get the elements matching the criterion. Is there a function I could use that would output two lists, one of elements matching, one of the remaining elements? I could call the filter() function twice, but that's kinda ugly :) Edit: the order of elements should be conserved, and I may have identical elements multiple times.

  • Run both Authorize Filter and Action Filter on unauthenticated ASP.NET MVC request

    I have decorated my base controller with a couple of action filters. They work fine. One of those filters sets up the request - does things like set the culture based on the domain, etc. I also have a handful of actions that require authorization using the Authorize attribute. My problem is that when an user attempts to request a page they are not authorized to access, the authorization filter kicks in and redirects them to a page telling them that they cannot vie the page. The issue is that the action filters never run so the culture and other request data is never set. This effectively causes language to be wrong in the view and other data to be missing. I know that authorization filters run first but my question is this: How can I design this such that I can ensure that certain methods are always run before the view is returned, regardless of the authorization. Hope that makes sense.

    i am using jquery sortable. right now i have a list of items that i can ALREADY use drag and drop. which is cool. i will use a submit button at the bottom of the list to submit the new order. the change in the list is not automatically submitted. All i need is somehow indicate that an element's position has changed.   • How to apply CSS theme to only a specific jQuery-UI element?

    I have a web site already build with my own CSS theme. I'm using jQuery UI "tabs" widget but no CSS from jQuery-UI. Now, I'm trying to add the "Date Picker" widget in one of my page. It would be great if I could reuse jQuery-UI default theme which is just fine. The problem is that the date picker theme is also applied to my tabs CSS. For example the "ui-widget" css properties is applied to both date picker and tabs elements. I can't seem to find a way to apply the css properties to only the date picker. I can't see a "super selector" that only applies to the date picker DIV. What would be the best way to handle this? [EDIT] The datepicker widget is really the problem. I cannot apply CSS style specific to it. Here is the starting code of the DIV that get pops up: <div style="position: absolute; top: 300.4px; left: 149px; display: block;" id="ui-datepicker-div" class="ui-datepicker ui-widget ui-widget-content ui-helper-clearfix ui-corner-all ui-helper-hidden-accessible"><div class="ui-datepicker-header ui-widget-header ui-helper-clearfix ui-corner-all"> As such, I cannot add a super selector. What would be great would be that the date picker widget supports CSS scope. But it does not. I'm stuck manually editing the jQuery CSS file. The Date Picker is currently being refactored. Hopefully the new code will address this issue.

    I have just jquery pagination plugin to work... But what happens is when i click page number 2 i get the first page and when i click 3 i get second page and so on.... My initial page my current page value changes to 0 instead 1 this causes the problem...   • jQuery fading in an element - not working exactly as i want it to...

    Anybody see what's wrong? Doesn't seem to do anything. If i replace $(this, '.inner').stop(true, false).fadeIn(250); with $(.fadeInOnHover .inner').stop(true, false).fadeIn(250); then all the .inner elements on the page will fade in (which isn't really what i want, as i have ~10 of them). I know it's possible to achieve what i want to do, but i don't know how in this case.     I have the following code that I wrote, which I personally found to be pretty nice. It takes a <ul> and it drops down the contents when clicked. But I am having a disconnect here in comprehension, and one I had to do what I feel is a 'dirty hack' to solve. The problem is that I do not want the class `'sidebar-dropdown-open' to be so 'hardwired' in the plugin. However I discovered that there is a very stark difference between... $('.sidebar-dropdown-open') and 'sidebar-dropdown-open and even '.sidebar-dropdown-open.     I have been trying to get my google maps to display within a page of a mobile app. The map will display for a second, and then disappear.     Basically jquery is usable with IceFaces. Then only problem arises when partial updates of the page are used. For example you have a panelgroup where a jquery datepicker element (jquery UI datepicker plugin) is used. If the panelGroup is visible from the beginning it's no problem. The jquery call to jQuery(".datepicker").datepicker finds the input and jquery can do it's magic. But if the panelGroup is shown because of a partial update of the page (because the visible propery is changed) jquery is not called again. Does anybody has a solution to this problem? Basically the idea would be that jquery is run each time the dom has changed.
