  Doing a web site using spring mvc. I added a SignupController to handle all the sign up related requests. Once user signup I am adding that to a session using @Scope("session"). So by that understanding I tried to access this "SessionUser" in userHomePage.jsp as, userHomepage.jsp Welcome to <%=session.getAttribute("sessionUser")%> But it throws null. So my question is how to use the values from session variables in jsp pages that got saved using @Scope("session") in the mvc controllers. Note: My work around is that pass that signed User Id to jsp page through ModelAndView, but it seems passing the value like these among the pages takes me back to managing state among pages using QueryStrings days.

  Here is the thing, I'm working with ASP.NET and I'm using this particular SignalR library to broadcast a video to my clients, but as far as I know I can not stream video because signalR is a messaging system and it is not intended to stream video, files or things like that. Now what I am trying to do is to split the video into buffers that is Base64-encoded into a string, then on the client I am decoding this string and I am trying to load it into the source of a Video tag.   I have tried the example code on SO to read the contents from the file in the resource directory in BlackBerry. But I am having an issue with the FileConnection. I get the following error: File system error (1003) I tried the example from here.   I am working on a web project that uses MVC2. I decided to try out RazorEngine to do some e-mail templating. This appeared to work fine when I was protyping using an MVC2 project so I assumed that RazorEngine will work fine for my e-mail templating solution. What I had forgotten at the time was that I actually had MVC3 installed on my local development machine. After deploying the project on a pre-test server I get the following error in the logs when the application attempts to do anything with RazorEngine: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Razor, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.   I'm trying to produce some Ruby code that will take a string and return a new one, with a number x number of characters removed from its end - these can be actual letters, numbers, spaces etc. Ex: given the following string a_string = "a1wer4zx" I need a simple way to get the same string, minus - say - the 3 last digits. In the case above, that would be "a1wer". The way I'm doing it right now seems very convoluted: an_array = a_string.split(//,(a_string.length-2)) an_array.pop new_string = an_array.join Any ideas?

  I am not sure am I doing these correct. I have 3 models, Account, User, and Event. Account contains a group of Users. Each User have its own username and password for login, but they can access the same Account data under the same Account. Events is create by a User, which other Users in the same Account can also read or edit it. I created the following migrations and models. Is this setting correct? Every time when a user create a new account, the system will ask for the user information, e.g. username and password. How can I add them into correct tables?   I'm having a really hard time trying to figure out how can I store or pass a type in scala. If is possible, is a good aproach? What I'm trying to achieve ultimately is writing a pseudo schema for byte stream treatment. E.g if I have an schema Array(Foo1,Foo1,Foo2,Foo3,Foo1) I could parse Arrays of bytes that complain with that schema, if at some point I have a different stream of bytes I could just write a new schema Array(Foo3, Foo4, Foo5) without having to reimplement parsing logic. • C# Possible to have a generic return type?

  Here is a typical function that returns either true/false; private static bool hasValue() { return true; } Now on an error, I would like to return my own custom error object with definition: public class Failure { public string failureDateTime { get; set; } public string failureReason { get; set; } } I would have expected to be able to throw this custom object for example... private static bool hasValue() { throw new Failure(); } This is not possible, and I don't want to derive Failure from System.IO.Exception because of the inability to serialize an exception in C#. What is the best practice / or ideal solution to this problem. Should I just work with private static object? Or is there a cleaner way to return a custom object or bypass the typical return type on an error (not using System.IO.Exception)? Not entirely wild about object either, because then I need to cast the result and validate it by more boolean logic.
