  • Jquery and binding an event to an iframe

    - by dbr
**I'm currently using a jquery textselect plugin to fire alerts based on the selection text anywhere on the page and it works just fine doing something like: $(document).ready(function() { $(document).bind('textselect', function(e) { alert(e.text); }); }); I've since had to add an iframe to the page and I need the text selection to work on text within the iframe as well. I'm trying to do something like this but it's not working: $(document).ready(function() { $('#iframeId').load(function() { $(document.getElementById("iframeId").contentWindow).bind('textselect',function(e) { alert(e.text); }); }); At this point I've tried a whole mess of ways to reference the iframe document without any success. Any ideas?**

  • Scala passing type parameters to object

    - by Shahzad Mian
In Scala v 2.7.7 I have a file with class Something[T] extends Other { } object Something extends OtherConstructor[Something] { } This throws the error: class Something takes type parameters object Something extends OtherConstructor[Something] { However, I can't do this object Something[T] extends OtherConstructor[Something[T]] { } It throws an error: error: ';' expected but '[' found. Is it possible to send type parameters to object? Or should I change and simply use Otherconstructor

  • Unable to add Solution to TFS 2010 due to existing (invisible)binding

    - by Refracted Paladin
I have a smallish utility library I made that I had created in TFS Beta 2 to test out TFS. I now have TFS rc1 installed(and Beta 2 uninstalled) and am trying to add my Solution to TFS. I get an error saying that it is already bound to my old TFS, which was on a different system then this one. Strangely, when I go into Source Control and look at the bindings it says there aren't any. Also, I manually deleted the .vss and .vsc files and it still does it. Ideas? I looked through the numerous other SO topics related to this but unless I missed one none of them are dealing with my issue. Ideas?

  • Using Reflection Invoke static generic method passing a Lamba as parameter

    - by Nikos Baxevanis
    Is it possible to write the following code via Reflection? var fake = A.Fake<Foo>( o => o.WithArgumentsForConstructor(new[] { "Hello" })); Where o is: Action<IFakeOptionsBuilder<T>> Where WithArgumentsForConstructor is: IFakeOptionsBuilder<T> WithArgumentsForConstructor(IEnumerable<object> argumentsForConstructor); The Foo class is: class Foo { public Foo(string s) { } } What I did was: object fake = typeof(A) .GetMethod("Fake", new Type[] { }) .MakeGenericMethod(new[] { this.targetType }) .Invoke(null, /* Here I need to pass the lambda. */);

  • NetBeans parameter fill after code completion

    - by byte
This is a particularly annoying problem I'm having, and I can't be the only one to have issue with it. In NetBeans, when you type part of a method, then hit CTRL-SPACE, it displays the code-completion popup, whereupon you can hit tab to finish out the word. This is great, and pretty much how all IDE's operate. Example: Thread.sl < CTRL-SPACE Thread.sleep Yay! Problem is that in this context, once you type in a paren, it auto-fills the parameters for the method with their default names, and inserts a closing paren (regardless of whether you have disabled the option to automatically close them on the preferences page for code completion). This behavior is NOT present if you had manually typed out the full name. How is this helpful to anyone? You've got to type over it your actual variable that you will be passing, and NetBeans gives you no option to prevent the closing paren on code-completion. Does anyone have a way to solve this issue, without having to dive into the netbeans source and build it just for this minor of an issue?

  • How can I easily pass all the variables from a template to a partial in Symfony with output escaping

    - by Failpunk
It there an easy way to pass all the variables a template file has access to onto a partial when I have output escaping on? I tend to create a template file, then refactor things into a partial at some point and it would seem that there would be an easy way to just pass all the same variables from the template to the partial and be done with it. I have output escaping on and I can't just pass in $sf_data. It look like calling a partial from within another partial is very simple...just pass in the variable $vars.

  • Parameter Tuning for Perceptron Learning Algorithm

    - by Albert Diego
Hi, I'm having sort of an issue trying to figure out how to tune the parameters for my perceptron algorithm so that it performs relatively well on unseen data. I've implemented a verified working perceptron algorithm and I'd like to figure out a method by which I can tune the numbers of iterations and the learning rate of the perceptron. These are the two parameters I'm interested in. I know that the learning rate of the perceptron doesn't affect whether or not the algorithm converges and completes. I'm trying to grasp how to change n. Too fast and it'll swing around a lot, and too low and it'll take longer. As for the number of iterations, I'm not entirely sure how to determine an ideal number. In any case, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Binding a null variable in a PreparedStatement

    - by Paul Tomblin
    I swear this used to work, but it's not in this case. I'm trying to match col1, col2 and col3, even if one or more of them is null. I know that in some languages I've had to resort to circumlocutions like ((? is null AND col1 is null) OR col1 = ?). Is that required here? PreparedStatement selStmt = getConn().prepareStatement( "SELECT * " + "FROM tbl1 " + "WHERE col1 = ? AND col2 = ? and col3 = ?"); try { int col = 1; setInt(selStmt, col++, col1); setInt(selStmt, col++, col2); setInt(selStmt, col++, col3); ResultSet rs = selStmt.executeQuery(); try { while (rs.next()) { // process row } } finally { rs.close(); } } finally { selStmt.close(); } // Does the equivalient of stmt.setInt(col, i) but preserves nullness. protected static void setInt(PreparedStatement stmt, int col, Integer i) throws SQLException { if (i == null) stmt.setNull(col, java.sql.Types.INTEGER); else stmt.setInt(col, i); }

  • Using free function as pseudo-constructors to exploit template parameter deduction

    - by Poita_
Is it a common pattern/idiom to use free functions as pseudo-constructors to avoid having to explicitly specify template parameters? For example, everyone knows about std::make_pair, which uses its parameters to deduce the pair types: template <class A, class B> std::pair<A, B> make_pair(A a, B b) { return std::pair<A, B>(a, b); } // This allows you to call make_pair(1, 2), // instead of having to type pair<int, int>(1, 2) // as you can't get type deduction from the constructor. I find myself using this quite often, so I was just wondering if many other people use it, and if there is a name for this pattern?

  • Unable to out/retval parameter in COM interface method in VC++ 2008

    - by user196614
Hi, I want to create a simple COM component in VC++ 2008. I have created ATL Project with all default options. I have added Simple ATL object (interface IDemo). Now I want to add a methos inside IDemo. But the "Add Method Wizard" does not allow me to add out/retval type of parameters to the method. I can add in type of parameters. Is it possible to add out/retval type of parameters? If yes then How can I do it? Thanks

  • binding to arraycollection does not work

    - by ron
Hi, I am using flex SDK 3.5. I have model.as and in it i have an ArrayCollection (name it arr_mod) which is Bindable. From my mxml i link to this arr_mod in two ways: 1) in DataGrid i set dataprovider={arr_mode} ... 2) in Button i add new item to the arr_mod this way: 3) in textBox i want to add mx:TextBox text="{mySpecialCounterFunc(arr_mod)}" note that in the Script of mxml arr_mod is Bindable as well as in the class definition in model.as The problem is, that when clicking on button, mySpecialCounterFunc is not called! it should be called, since i use {} and this should listen to changes in arr_mod (a change that was made in the button should cause a new item to be added.. and than the listener to respond). While The DataGrid is updated correctly! Why??

  • ASP.NET binding object to Request in asp.net mvc

    - by Alxandr
I've created a object that I'd like to have accessible from wherever the request-object is accessible, and to "die" with the request, more or less like how you always in a mvc-application has access to the RouteData-collection. Especially it's important that I have access to this object in the execution of action-filters. And also there need to be created a new object of my class whenever a new request is made to the page (the object needs to be request-safe, ie. only one request modifies that one object). Any thoughts about how to achieve this?

  • Passing a parameter to ant from CruiseControl Dashboard

    - by MSUDrew
I am working on incorporating CruiseControl into my teams build process. What we need is a way to pass a Clearcase view name into the ant script so it knows what view to use when building. Sometimes a developer needs to create a build that is used for their testing only and not on the main integration branch. Is there a way to do this?

  • Binding a Button to a GridView

    - by Tyler
This a pretty simple question, I'm just not sure how to do it exactly. I would like to bind a Button or perhaps ImageButton to a GridView in ASP.NET/C#. Currently, the GridView has two columns and is bound to a DataTable with two columns. I want to add a third column to the GridView, which will include the Button. I know GridView has ButtonField, but I'm not too sure how to go about using it to do what I want. I want to dynamically generate these Buttons and add them to the GridView. Here is how my GridView looks right now: <asp:GridView ID="GridView1" Runat="server"> <Columns> <asp:HyperLinkField HeaderText="Display Name" DataNavigateUrlFields="DISPNAME" DataNavigateUrlFormatString="ViewItem.aspx" DataTextField="DISPNAME"> <ItemStyle Width="70%" /> </asp:HyperLinkField> <asp:BoundField DataField="TypeDisp" HeaderText="Type"> <ItemStyle Width="20%" /> </asp:BoundField> </Columns> </asp:GridView>

  • jndi binding on jboss4.2.3 and ejb3

    - by broschb
I am trying to deploy a stateless ejb on jboss 4.2.3 using ejb3 annotations. Everything builds and deploys correctly, and I do not get any errors when jboss starts up. However the ejb is not getting bound to any JNDI location for lookup when I look at the bindings in jboss. Below is what I have for my ejb. Remote @Remote public interface TestWebService { public String TestWebMethod(String param1, String param2); } Stateless EJB @Stateless @RemoteBinding(jndiBinding="TestWeb") @Remote(TestWebService.class) public class TestWebServiceBean implements TestWebService{ public String TestWebMethod(String param1, String param2) { System.out.println("HELLO "+param1+" "+param2); return "Welcome!!"; } } I have tried not having the @Remote and @RemoteBinding and it doesn't make a difference. I have also added and ejb-jar.xml file (which should not be needed with ejb3) and that does not appear to make a difference. Below is the output I see in the jboss log on startup. installing MBean: jboss.j2ee:ear=ejb_web_service_ear-0.0.1- SNAPSHOT.ear,jar=ejb_web_service-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar,name=TestWebServiceBean,service=EJB3 with dependencies: 21:56:00,633 INFO [EJBContainer] STARTED EJB: com.tomax.ejb.TestWebServiceBean ejbName: TestWebServiceBean
