  • How can I get popup window using commandButton in Trinidad?

    - by vikram
    How can I get popup window using commandButton in Trinidad? My problem is that by clicking on Add button from dialogdemo.jspx, not any popup window or dialog box is opened. This is dialogdemo.jspx file: <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" xmlns:tr="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad" version="1.2"> <jsp:directive.page contentType="text/html;charset=utf-8" /> <f:view> <tr:document title="Dialog Demo"> <tr:form> <!-- The field for the value; we point partialTriggers at the button to ensure it gets redrawn when we return --> <tr:inputText label="Pick a number:" partialTriggers="buttonId" value="#{launchDialog.input}" /> <!-- The button for launching the dialog: we've also configured the width and height of that window --> <tr:commandButton text="Add" action="dialog:chooseInteger" id="buttonId" windowWidth="300" windowHeight="200" partialSubmit="true" useWindow="true" returnListener="#{launchDialog.returned}" /> </tr:form> </tr:document> </f:view> </jsp:root> Here is the associated managed bean LaunchDialogBean.java: package jsfpkg; import org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.component.UIXInput; import org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.event.ReturnEvent; public class LaunchDialogBean { private UIXInput _input; public UIXInput getInput() { return _input; } public void setInput(UIXInput input) { _input = input; } public void returned(ReturnEvent event) { if (event.getReturnValue() != null) { getInput().setSubmittedValue(null); getInput().setValue(event.getReturnValue()); } } } Here is the popup file Popup.jspx: <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:trh="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/html" xmlns:tr="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad" version="2.0"> <jsp:directive.page contentType="text/html;charset=utf-8" /> <f:view> <tr:document title="Add dialog"> <tr:form> <!-- Two input fields --> <tr:panelForm> <tr:inputText label="Number 1:" value="#{chooseInteger.value1}" required="true" /> <tr:inputText label="Number 2:" value="#{chooseInteger.value2}" required="true" /> </tr:panelForm> <!-- Two buttons --> <tr:panelGroup layout="horizontal"> <tr:commandButton text="Submit" action="#{chooseInteger.select}" /> <tr:commandButton text="Cancel" immediate="true" action="#{chooseInteger.cancel}" /> </tr:panelGroup> </tr:form> </tr:document> </f:view> </jsp:root> For that I have written the bean ChooseIntegerBean.java package jsfpkg; import org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.context.RequestContext; public class ChooseIntegerBean { private Integer _value1; private Integer _value2; public Integer getValue1() { return _value1; } public void setValue1(Integer value1) { _value1 = value1; } public Integer getValue2() { return _value2; } public void setValue2(Integer value2) { _value2 = value2; } public String cancel() { RequestContext.getCurrentInstance().returnFromDialog(null, null); return null; } public String select() { Integer value = new Integer(getValue1().intValue() + getValue2().intValue()); RequestContext.getCurrentInstance().returnFromDialog(value, null); return null; } } Here is my faces-config.xml: <managed-bean> <managed-bean-name>chooseInteger</managed-bean-name> <managed-bean-class>jsfpkg.ChooseIntegerBean</managed-bean-class> <managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope> </managed-bean> <managed-bean> <managed-bean-name>launchDialog</managed-bean-name> <managed-bean-class>jsfpkg.LaunchDialogBean</managed-bean-class> <managed-bean-scope> request </managed-bean-scope> </managed-bean> <navigation-rule> <from-view-id>/dialogdemo.jspx</from-view-id> <navigation-case> <from-outcome>dialog:chooseInteger</from-outcome> <to-view-id>/dialogbox.jspx</to-view-id> </navigation-case> </navigation-rule>

  • Configuration Files: how to read them into models?

    - by stacker
    I have a lot of configuration files in this format: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <XConfiguration> <XFile Name="file name 1" /> <XFile Name="name2" /> <XFile Name="name3" /> <XFile Name="name4" /> </XConfiguration> I want to use ConfigurationRepository.Get to get this object populated: public class XConfiguration { public XFile[] Files { get; set; } } I wonder what is the best way to do that. LinqToXml? I don't think ConfigurationManager is a smart option for this.

  • Gallery items become off-center when switching into landscape orientation.

    - by Sandile
Hey Guys, Thanks for your time. I'm writing an application for android 2.2 and I'm using a gallery to circulate through a list of images that the user can then click to navigate other portions of the application. In portrait orientation, everything is kosher: the images are displaying correctly (completely in the center of the screen as I intended); however, in landscape orientation, all the images in the gallery are strangely displaced a fixed distance to the left of the center of the screen. I've been researching this issue for hours now and haven't found a solution. I'm hoping that some android guru can aid me in the resolution of this bizarre rendering issue. MainMenuActivity.java relevant code snippet (the activity in which the gallery resides) Gallery optionList = (Gallery)findViewById(R.id.mainMenuOptionList); GalleryItem[] optionListItemIdArray = new GalleryItem[] { new GalleryItem(R.drawable.icon_main_menu_option_list_blackboard, "Start Next Lesson", "Start the next planned vocab lesson."), new GalleryItem(R.drawable.icon_main_menu_option_list_index_cards, "Review Words", "Manually look over old words."), new GalleryItem(R.drawable.icon_main_menu_option_list_dice, "Play Vocab Games", "Play games to reinforce knowledge."), new GalleryItem(R.drawable.icon_main_menu_option_list_calendar, "View Lesson Plan", "View the schedule for coming lessons."), new GalleryItem(R.drawable.icon_main_menu_option_list_pie_chart, "View Performance Report", "Evaluate your overall performance statistics."), new GalleryItem(R.drawable.icon_main_menu_option_list_settings, "Manage Settings", "Change and modify application settings.") }; optionList.setAdapter(new GalleryImageAdapter(this, optionListItemIdArray)); NOTE: A GalleryItem is a POJO with an image resource id, title and description. GalleryImageAdapter.java: public class GalleryImageAdapter extends BaseAdapter { private Context context; private GalleryItem[] galleryItemArray; public GalleryImageAdapter(Context context, GalleryItem[] galleryItemArray) { this.context = context; • Google suggest API does not work with Chinese locale

    - by SadSido
Hi, everyone! I have a problem with Google suggest API when using Chinese locale. I am picking Chinese hieroglyphs at random and use the REST API to retrieve suggestions. Unfortunately, Google always return an empty list of suggestions (I am completely sure, that I convert my request in utf-8, and it is working fine with other languages, ex. Russian): Sample request: http://suggestqueries.google.com/complete/search?qu=%E9%80%9F Google answer: window.google.ac.h(["?",[]]) Does anyone know how to retrieve suggestions for Chinese locale? Maybe I am missing some flags or something? Maybe there is an official document from Google, saying that Chinese is not supported? And are there any people from China, using Google toolbar? Does it really work? I'd appreciate any help! If it matters, I am writing a simple WinAPI application, using C++...

  • Making an Ajax request to a page method in ASP.NET MVC 2

    - by JLago
I'm trying to call a page method belonging to a MVC Controller from another site, by means of: $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "http://localhost:54953/Home/ola", data: "", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(data) { console.log(data.Name); } }); the method code is as follows, really simple, just to test: public ActionResult ola() { return Json(new ActionInfo() { Name = "ola" },JsonRequestBehavior.AllowGet); } I've seen this aproach being suggested here, and I actually like it a lot, should it work... When I run this, firebug gets a 200 OK, but the data received is null. I've tried a lot of different approaches, like having the data in text (wish grants me "(an empty string)" instead of just "null") or returning string in the server method... Can you tell me what am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance, João

  • Using two namespaces when defining a new xml file (XDocument, XElement, XAttribute)

  • Problem with pgfplot label

    - by harper
    I want to draw an x-y-diagram with axis labels. Unfortunately the ylabel is misplaced. It looks as depending on the actual data. When the other data line in the sample below is used instead of the upper line, it looks better. How can I move the label to the left or (more desirable) how can I tell pgfplot to do it corectly? % !TEX TS-program = pdflatex % !TEX encoding = UTF-8 Unicode \documentclass{scrartcl} \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} \usepackage{tikz} \usepackage{pgfplots} \begin{document} \begin{tikzpicture} \begin{axis}[width=13cm,height=8cm, xlabel={I in mA}, ylabel={U in mV}] \addplot[only marks,mark=star] coordinates { % (1.36, -0.0177) (45.38, 0.0273) (74.19, 0.0413) (100.88, 0.0533) (134.80, 0.0683) (195.27, 0.1073) }; \end{axis} \end{tikzpicture} \end{document}

  • Converting HTML to plain text in PHP for e-mail

    - by jstayton
I use TinyMCE to allow minimal formatting of text within my site. From the HTML that's produced, I'd like to convert it to plain text for e-mail. I've been using a class called html2text, but it's really lacking in UTF-8 support, among other things. I do, however, like that it maps certain HTML tags to plain text formatting — like putting underscores around text that previously had <i> tags in the HTML. Does anyone use a similar approach to converting HTML to plain text in PHP? And if so: Do you recommend any third-party classes that I can use? Or how do you best tackle this issue? Thanks!

  • Dialog is not defined

I'm building my first Facebook Connect application, and am running into an odd problem. Do I need to do anything special in order to use it? Thanks in advance!

  • having issue while making the client calls persession in c# wcf

    - by krishna555
1.) I have a main method Processing, which takes string as an arguments and that string contains some x number of tasks. 2.) I have another method Status, which keeps track of first method by using two variables TotalTests and CurrentTest. which will be modified every time with in a loop in first method(Processing). 3.) When more than one client makes a call parallely to my web service to call the Processing method by passing a string, which has different tasks will take more time to process. so in the mean while clients will be using a second thread to call the Status method in the webservice to get the status of the first method. 4.) when point number 3 is being done all the clients are supposed to get the variables(TotalTests,CurrentTest) parallely with out being mixed up with other client requests. 5.) The code that i have provided below is getting mixed up variables results for all the clients when i make them as static. If i remove static for the variables then clients are just getting all 0's for these 2 variables and i am unable to fix it. Please take a look at the below code. • WAMP not sending file headers (content-type) correctly

    - by Industrial
Hi! I cant get a PHP file to send correct headers at my WAMP server. Wouldn't be a problem normally except that is phpMyAdmin that is freaking out right now. Here's the row that the file that merges the css files together in phpmyadmin uses to send the output as CSS. header('Content-Type: text/css; charset=UTF-8'); I have also putted a .htaccess file in the phpmyadmin directory: AddType text/css .css Neither is working. What can I do to make sure that this file is interpreted as a CSS by firefox?

  • PHP-GD: Dealing with Unicode characters

    - by sehugg
I am developing a web service that renders characters using the PHP GD extension, using a user-selected TTF font. This works fine in ASCII-land, but there are a few problems: The string to be rendered comes in as UTF-8. I would like to limit the list of user-selectable fonts to be only those which can render the string properly, as some fonts only have glyphs for ASCII characters, ISO 8601, etc. In the case where some decorative characters are included, it would be fine to render the majority of characters in the selected font and render the decorative characters in Arial (or whatever font contains the extended glyphs). It does not seem like PHP-GD has support for querying the font metadata sufficiently to figure out if a character can be rendered in a given font. What is a good way to get font metrics into PHP? Is there a command-line utility that can dump in XML or other parsable format?

  • Detect the URI encoding automatically in Tomcat

    - by Roland Illig
I have an instance of Apache Tomcat 6.x running, and I want it to interpret the character set of incoming URLs a little more intelligent than the default behavior. In particular, I want to achieve the following mapping: So%DFe => Soße So%C3%9Fe => Soße So%DF%C3%9F => (error) The bevavior I want could be described as "try to decode the byte stream as UTF-8, and if it doesn't work assume ISO-8859-1". Simply using the URIEncoding configuration doesn't work in that case. So how can I configure Tomcat to encode the request the way I want? I might have to write a Filter that takes the request (especially the query string) and re-encodes it into the parameters. Would that be the natural way?

  • Validation of user input or ?????????

    - by zaf
We're letting users search a database from a single text input and I'm having difficulties in filtering some user supplied strings. For example, if the user submits: ????????? lcd SONY (Note the ?'s) I need to cancel the search. I include the base64 encoded version of the above string wrapped up so that its easy run: print(base64_decode("1MfLxc/RwdPHIGxjZCBTT05Z")); I've ignored such inputs before but now (am not sure why) just realised the mysql database query is taking nearly forever to execute so this is now on high priority. Another example to highlight that we are using utf-8 and mb_detect_encoding is not helping much: print(base64_decode("zqDOm8+Fzr3PhM63z4HOuc6/IM+Bzr/Phc+HzyU=")); ????t???? ?????% So: how can I detect/filter these inputs? how is this input being generated?

Below is my layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/row" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:padding="10dip"> <ImageView android:id="@+id/item_image" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:paddingRight="10dip" android:src="@drawable/default_image" android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:layout_centerVertical="true" android:gravity="center_vertical"/> <TextView android:id="@+id/item_title" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/item_image" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:layout_centerVertical="true" android:gravity="center_vertical" /> </RelativeLayout> It seems strange that I need to set alignParentTop="true" when I'm trying to vertically center the text, but if I don't the text does not even show up. What am I doing wrong?

  • smarter character replacement using ruby gsub and regexp

    - by agriciuc
Hi guys! I'm trying to create permalink like behavior for some article titles and i don't want to add a new db field for permalink. So i decided to write a helper that will convert my article title from: "O "focoasa" a pornit cruciada, împotriva barbatilor zgârciti" to "o-focoasa-a-pornit-cruciada-impotriva-barbatilor-zgarciti". While i figured out how to replace spaces with hyphens and remove other special characters (other than -) using: title.gsub(/\s/, "-").gsub(/[^\w-]/, '').downcase I am wondering if there is any other way to replace a character with a specific other character from only one .gsub method call, so I won't have to chain title.gsub("a", "a") methods for all the UTF-8 special characters of my localization. I was thinking of building a hash with all the special characters and their counterparts but I haven't figured out yet how to use variables with regexps. What I was looking for is something like: title.gsub(/\s/, "-").gsub(*replace character goes here*).gsub(/[^\w-]/, '').downcase Thanks!

  • Special characters in PHP / MySQL

    - by Jonathan
Hi, I have in the database words that include special character (in Spanish mostly, like tildes). In the database everything is saved and shown correctly with PHPmyAdmin, but when I get the data (using PHP) and display it in a browser, I get a weird character, like a "?" with a square... I need a general fix so I don't need to escape each character every time, and also I would be able to insert special Spanish characters from a PHP form into the database... The HTML is correct: <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> All tables and databas are set to utf8_spanish The character I get: ? Any suggestions??? Thanks!!!

  • Hidden features of CSS

    - by alex
I have definitely picked up some useful tips in the hidden features style questions concerning PHP and XHTML. So here is one to cover CSS. While easy to pick up, it takes a little while to learn about everything, their default behaviors, properties etc Here are some to start the ball @charset "UTF-8"; /* set the character set. must be first line as Gumbo points out in comments */ .element { /* takes precedence over other stylings */ display: block !important; /* mozilla .... rounded corners with no images */ -moz-border-radius: 10px; /* webkit equivalent */ -webkit-border-radius: 10px } These are not so much hidden, but their use is not often widespread. What tips, tricks, rare features have you discovered with CSS?

    Attempting a beginner's tutorial. I have the following in my head: <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="cordova-1.5.0.js"></script> <linkrel="stylesheet"href="http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.0.1/jquery.mobile1.0.1.min.css" /> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.7.1.min.js"></script> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.0.1/jquery.mobile-1.0.1.min.js"></script> My result is just text, no Jquery mobile styling.

  • Apache deflate with chucked encoding

    - by hoodoos
I'm expiriencing some problem with one of my data source services. As it says in HTTP response headers it's running on Apache-Coyote/1.1. Server gives responses with Transfer-Encoding: chunked, here sample response: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8 Transfer-Encoding: chunked Date: Tue, 30 Mar 2010 06:13:52 GMT And problem is when I'm requesting server to send gzipped request it often sends not full response. I recieve response, see that last chunk recived, but then after ungzipping I see that response is partial. So my question is: is it common apache issue? maybe one of it's mod_deflate plugins or something? Ask questions if you need more info. Thanks.
