  • Vim navigation clunkiness

    I've committed myself to diving into vim to become faster at writing code for ruby/python and I'm having a hard time navigating around files. Mainly, I'm referring to switching between insert mode and navigation modes. Maybe I'm just not completely used to the editor yet but it feels very awkward to constantly be switching in and out of insert mode. Is this something that will go away with time? Are there any tricks to getting quicker at moving in and out of insert mode?

    I was looking for a way to create a trigger that would insert the same row into two tables with the same values. For example, a new row is inserted into pushNotificationQueue as soon as that is inserted, I would like that same exact row to be inserted into messages. I tried this CREATE TRIGGER add_to_messages after insert on mbb_pushNotificationQueue FOR EACH ROW insert into mbb_messages select * from mbb_pushNotificationQueue the only problem with that is that it goes through and adds entries that have already been previously added.

    So to allow any type object I must use generics in my code. I have rewrote this method to do so, but then when I create an object, for example Milk, it won't let me pass it to my method. Ether there's something wrong with my generic revision, or Milk object I created is not good. How should I pass my object correctly and add it to linked list?   • Jquery ajax using asp.net does not work on IE9 during the 2nd call of the function?

    I have gridview that is loaded from another aspx page after an ajax call, the problem is it works on chrome/firefox/safari but using ie9 the ajax call would work fine during the first call but when i try to call the function again it throws an 304 status on the network tab of ie9 dev tool and the gridview is not refreshed.     I need to perform several inserts in a single atomic transaction. For example: start transaction; insert ... insert ... commit; However when MySQL encounters an error it aborts only the particular statement that caused the error. For example, if there is an error in the second insert statement the commit will still take place and the first insert statement will be recorded. Thus, when errors occur a MySQL transaction is not really a transaction. To overcome this problem I have used an error exit handler where I rollback the transaction. Now the transaction is silently aborted but I don't know what was the problem. So here is the conundrum for you: How can I both make MySQL abort a transaction when it encounters an error, and pass the error code on to the caller?

I want to automatically create a relationship table, MedicationSupplier, containing: IDMedication and IDSupplier as keys, Price, and Quantity. My idea was to have a main page where i request the following data: (Medication)Name, IDCAtegory, (Supplier)Name, Price, Quantity. I'm not sure if i'm doing the right thing here.
