    I'm using Intercom rails in my application and I would like to not include intercom script in a certain situation. So, I would like to skip the intercom after_filter when a value is set in the user session. But i have a problem when i create a admin folder.WHen access "http://localhost/tradesalvage/demo/admin/add-data" , it goes to the 404 error page.How do I write the rule to skip the admin folder ?

    I have a sql file generated by "mysqldump --all-databases" . There are many databases in it. What I want to do is to update my local database but only a specific one, not all. I tried to use "mysql -database=db_name < file.sql" but it updated all databases. Is there a way to skip all databases except the one that I want.

  • Does Exchange 2010 lift the restriction that DL addresses must be in Active Directory?

    We'd like to enable end-users to be able to create and maintain their own email distribution lists in Exchange 2010, where those lists may include users inside the company but also customers, partners, etc. who are outside the company. One of the limitations in Exchange 2007 (see this question) was that any member of a DL had to have an entry in active directory. You couldn't just take a group of email addresses (both inside and outside my company) and create an Exchange DL with those addresses without involving Active Directory admins to create entries for each external user. For a company creating hundreds of small mailing lists every month, this was an unacceptable IT expense. So we had to use a separate mailing list solution (GNU mailman) for DLs which included external users. Is this limitation relaxed in Exchange 2010 so we can throw away GNU mailman and use Exchange instead?

  • Skip sanitization for videos in html5lib

    I am using a wmd-editor in django, much like this one in which I am typing. I would like to allow the users to embed videos in it. For that I am using the Markdown video extension here. The problem is that I am also sanitizing user input using html5lib sanitization and it doesn't allow object tags which are required to embed the videos. One solution could be to check the input for urls of well-known video sites and skip the sanitization in those cases. Is there a better solution?

What is wrong with this? is the only way to put html tag inside XMl file is to use CDATA?

  • Get python tarfile to skip files without read permission

    I'm trying to write a function that backs up a directory with files of different permission to an archive on Windows XP. I'm using the tarfile module to tar the directory. Currently as soon as the program encounters a file that does not have read permissions, it stops giving the error: IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: 'path to file'. I would like it to instead just skip over the files it cannot read rather than end the tar operation.     The software I am using produces log files with a variable number of lines of summary information followed by lots of tab delimited data. I am trying to write a function that will read the data from these log files into a data frame ignoring the summary information. The summary information never contains a tab, so the following function works: read.parameters <- function(file.name, ...){ lines <- scan("tmp.log", what="character", sep="\n") first.line <- min(grep("\\t", lines)) return(read.delim(file.name, skip=first.line-1, ...)) } However, these logfiles are quite big, and so reading the file twice is very slow. Surely there is a better way?

  • IE7 preventDefault() not working on skip links

    I currently have skip links that jump to the div ids and was using e.preventDefault() to stop the url from changing when jumping to the element but in IE7 and IE8 it doesn't work at all using e.preventDefault() and if I take it out the url changes to the div the anchor tag contains reference to. Is their any fix or way around this?   • Skip reading strings in matlab

    Is there is easy command in matlab which prevents program from crashing when it reads characters? I use xlsread to read a (20 400) matrix data , the first row and column get disregarded as they have headers, so that: data = xlsread ( ' C:\file.xls') results in data with a size of (19 399). I have a problem, some cells have missing data and it's written ' missing' and on some data sets i have headers reappear in middle. Is there a way to skip these characters without the program crashing and me having to open the file in excel and deleting those fields? Thanks

So I thought about download the gzipped archives available from most mailing lists. here are some nice instructions to import these archives into thunderbird. Is there a similar streamlined way to read the unziped archives in emacs, or other software ?
