• Login time out when calling opening a new window from modal popup (ASP.NET)

  I have a weird problem. I have a window, on a button click I open a modal popup (using ModelPopupExtender), that let's you select a few criteria and then click a submit button. On click of submit button, I open a new window (using window.open()) that shows the status of what happened to your submitted request. However, every time this status window is opened, it goes to the login page. I am thinking the modal popup can't pass the authentication cookie to the newly opened window, but I'm not sure. • binding to arraycollection does not work

  Hi, I am using flex SDK 3.5. I have model.as and in it i have an ArrayCollection (name it arr_mod) which is Bindable. From my mxml i link to this arr_mod in two ways: 1) in DataGrid i set dataprovider={arr_mode} ... 2) in Button i add new item to the arr_mod this way: 3) in textBox i want to add mx:TextBox text="{mySpecialCounterFunc(arr_mod)}" note that in the Script of mxml arr_mod is Bindable as well as in the class definition in model.as The problem is, that when clicking on button, mySpecialCounterFunc is not called! it should be called, since i use {} and this should listen to changes in arr_mod (a change that was made in the button should cause a new item to be added.. and than the listener to respond). While The DataGrid is updated correctly! Why??

• Swing- focus problem

  Hi, In my application I have a frame, with toolbar (the toolbar contains some actions). I want the toolbar to be visible only when the window is focused. So, I registered a windowFocusListener on the window. The problem is- when the window is not focused and I click on the place where a tool bar action should be- the action is performed. This happens because the WindowFocusGained is called before the mouse button is released and when the mouse button released it calls the actionPerformed. Does anybody has any idea for a work around for this problem? Does anybody know how to determine wether the mouse button is clicked now?

  Hi, I have page called filedownload.aspx , it contains grid and in grid they are three columns and in one of the column there is button which says Download , when user clicks on that button it picks file id and gives the download box to user with three options Open save and cancel . • Refresh a control on the master page after postback

  Hi all! What i am trying to do here is to show a couple of validation messages in form of a bulletlist, so i have a Div on my master page containing a asp:bulletlist. Like this: <div> <asp:BulletedList ID="blstValidationErrorMessage" runat="server" BulletStyle="Disc"> </asp:BulletedList> </div> When i then click the Save button from any of my pages (inside the main contentPlaceHolder) i create a list of messages and give this list as datasouce like this: blstValidationErrorMessage.DataSource = validationMessageCollection; blstValidationErrorMessage.DataBind(); The save button is located inside an updatepanel: asp:UpdatePanel runat="server" ID="UpdatePanel" ChildrenAsTriggers="true" UpdateMode="Conditional" Nothing happens, i can see that the datasource of the bulletlist contains X items, the problems must arise because the Save button is inside an update panel and the elements outside this updatepanel (master page controls for example) is not refreshed. So my question is, how do i make the bulletlist refresh after the postback? Thanks in advance.

  Q: I use RadUpload Telerik control to upload more than image ..this control is flexible and amazing one.. it works perfectly but recently i find the following problem :: the problem appears only in firefox not IE when click on Select button in this control to select my file the button doesn't work at all ,,but when i click on the textbox(which the file path appear in)it opens the window which i can select a file from it .. i don't know what is the problem with firefox .. i wanna the default behavior to not confuse the user ,i wanna when clicking on Select button , showing a window to select my file from it like IE.. any suggestions to fix this problem please...

• Using setSourceType with image picker up hides status bar

  I am pretty sure this is a bug but I thought I would check. I used the camera overlay to add a button so that on the iphone a user can switch from the camera view to the photo library. When button is taped the source type switches fine but the status bar is missing from the photo library. Throughout the rest of that session the status bar remains missing from all views evet thougth isStatusBarHidden reports NO. This is how the camera overlay view is created if (cameraOverlayView == nil) { [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"CameraOverlayView" owner:self options:nil]; } If camera is available this is when I set source type and add overlay if ([UIImagePickerController isSourceTypeAvailable:UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera]) { [imagePicker setSourceType:UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera]; [imagePicker setCameraOverlayView:cameraOverlayView]; } Here is the action statement to change source type. (IBAction)selectImage; { [imagePicker setSourceType:UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypePhotoLibrary]; } If I don't tap the button on the overlay there is no problem with the status bar. PS. I did submit a bug report on this.

  I am a fan of Martin Fowler's (deprecated) model-view-presenter pattern. I am writing a Scala view class containing several button classes. I would like to include methods to set the action properties of the buttons, to be called by the presenter. A typical code fragment looks like this: private val aButton = new JButton def setAButtonAction(action: Action): Unit = { aButton.setAction(action) } This code is repeated for each button. If Java/Scala had the C preprocessor, I would create a macro to generate this code, given the button name (no lectures on the evils of the C preprocessor, please). This code is obviously very verbose and repetitive. Is there any better way way to do this in Scala, perhaps using traits? Please hold the lectures about scala.swing. I looking for a general pattern here.

It is unusual when i use [ShareAppDelegate showLoading] on other Function, - it work very nice, i mean all the statement be executed in order. All i want, when i tap on My Button, Loading will be called immediatelly. Tks in advance

• Can I bind multiple forms to a single model using the default model binder?

  I have a complex page with several forms on it. The page is divided into sections, and each section has a continue button on it. The page is bound to a pageViewModel, each section addresses a different set of properties on the model. The continue button makes an ajax call to the controller, and the model binder binds it appropriately to the appropriate sections of the model. The section is refreshed appropriately. Finally, I would like to have a save button at the bottom of the page that takes all the forms, and binds all of the forms to the model. The model, at this point has all of the properties filled out, and can be processed accordingly. Can I accomplish this by some ASP MVC magic?

• C# Processing Enter Key on Custom Container

  I am currently building a custom container control. Everything was going along smoothly until I hit a snag during testing. I noticed that the Enter key is not getting processed to the control that has focus inside the container. Everything else works as expected though. I am able to click the button with either the mouse or space bar, but enter does not want to get processed. After doing endless searches on container controls and processing the enter key I have come up with no solution. I tried returning Enter as true in IsInputKey(Keys keyData) and that didn't work. Neither did setting KeyPreview on the form. I have tried it with my custom button and .NET's standard button. Like I mentioned earlier, spacebar will trigger the desired effect. Please tell me what I am missing. There has to be an easy / stupid simple way to get Enter to process over to the active child control.

• Noob Droid Question regarding random number

  Brand new to droid programming, but would love to learn as much as possible, so I finally got my emulator working correctly, I even got a hello world button to work, I'm attempting to make this button display a random number, I've googled this and came up with this code: Random generator = new Random(); int n = generator.nextInt(n); I fixed the Random function by including some Random java utility. I'm assuming this code above goes in the .java file of the project, so my button code looks as follows (tested and works): PopUpText.makeText(v.getContext(), "Hello World", PopUpText.LENGTH_LONG).show(); I figured I could replace "Hello World" with n to display the number in the box, however the following error is stopping the compile: The local variable n may not have been initialized Any ideas why this is happening? Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

• Is it possible to use an input within a <label> field?

  I have a bunch of optional "write-in" values for a survey I'm working on. These are basically a radio button with a textbox within the answer field - the idea being that you would toggle the button and write something into the box. What I'd like to do is have the radio button toggled whenever a user clicks in the text field - this seems like a use-case that makes a lot of sense. Doing this: <input type="radio" id="radiobutton"><label for="radiobutton">Other: <input type="text" id="radiobutton_other"></label> works fine in Chrome (and I am guessing, other WebKit browsers as well), but there are weird selection issues in Firefox, so I'm assuming its a non-standard practice that I should stay away from. Is there a way to replicate this functionality without using JavaScript? I have an onclick function that will work, but we're trying to make our site usable for people who might have NoScript-type stuff running.

Still trying to get my head round layouts in a non-html world and was wondering how to achieve the following.... 1) I'd like to set a tiled background to fill the screen behind the whole activity 2) I'd like to place a graphic and a button underneath it centred in the middle of the screen. 3) When the user clicks the button I'd like to start a new activity and presumably I have to do something to the current activity so the user can use the back button to get back to it.   Here's the thing. I have a button that, depending on the scenario, will behave, look and have different text. Here's how it, roughly, looks like at the moment: - if params[:param_A] && @statement_A %span.button.cancel_button{attribute: "value_B"} - if @statement_B = t('locale_A') - else = t('locale_B') - elsif params[:param_A] %span.button.cancel_button{attribute: "value_A"} - if @statement_B = t('locale_A') - else = t('locale_B') There's also a CSS class both buttons should have IF statement_B is true. So it is a mess. And I recently read about the "Tell, don't ask" principle which I liked very much, so I'd love to apply it here... but I'm not sure how. I know I could make a helper, but I'd like to stay away from them because reasons (I really have some valid reasons to do so, but those are beyond the scope of this question). I can resort to that as a last resource, but would rather find another solution.

I use javascript because i don't want any postbacks.   I have a Table and a Button. Table's cells have controls LiteralControl and CheckBox. I check some fields and then by click on button i remove these fields from database. On event Page_PreRender i clear Table and then fill it with updated data. Then it shows me Table with updated data. But if i check fields of table again and do a click on a button it wont do what i expected. In Page_Load event i see that it dont save properties of controls. Checked CheckBox controls appears as unchecked.

  Hi, Im currently building a new discount-webpage and Im looking for a solution to be able to hover over a discount button to reveal a small text without clicking. And after clicking on the button that the text in the flash button is copied into the clipboard and a new page open with a small frame from my window with the new page underneith. examples of this kind of script can be viewed on this page: http://www.retailmenot.com/ on the yellow boxes with the discount text. Im not looking for a free script or for someone to do this for me. All I want to know if there is another language to do this with like possibly java? and maybe some links to tutorials. (the current page solves this with flash which I havent worked with before.)
