• Weblogic 10.3.0 : Loosing a stateless session bean in the bean pool

  Hi, We have a strange situation where we loose a Stateless SessionBean in a Bean Pool in Weblogic 10.3.0 Since we only have one bean in the pool, this effectively hangs all incoming calls. We do not want more than one instance in the pool because of application restrictions. In the Weblogic admin console, we can see that there are 1 instance in the bean pool, 0 beans in use and 1 waiting incoming request. The question is, what can have caused the system to not send the request to the one obviously free bean instance? This happens after several hours and over 100000 incoming requests, and the same scenario worked fine in the old weblogic 8 environment. • Thread safe double buffering

  I am trying to implement a draw map method that will draw the tiled image across the surface of the component. I'm having issue with this code. • Which collection interface should I use in .NET for COM-interop?

  That is a followup from my previous question, but you don't need to read it to understand that one. I'm designing an interface in .NET that would be consumed from COM applications (mainly VB6, but Visual C++ 6 is also a possibility) and I would like to use Collection types as argument and return types for the methods in the interface. Questions: What happens to the VB6 built-in collection types (arrays, collections, dictionaries) when they go through interop? My current guess is that: arrays - System.Array collections - Microsoft.VisualBasic.Collection dictionaries - System.Collections.Hashtable Is that correct? Which interfaces should I use as return types? IEnumerable, ICollection, IList, IDictionary? Would I be able to do a For Each in VB6 to iterate over these interfaces? Should I use the generic or non-generic variants of the interfaces?

  We have an open beta of an app which occasionally causes the heapspace to overflow. The JVM reacts by going on a permanent vacation. To analyze this I would like to peek into the memory at the point where it failed. Java does not want me to do this. The process is still in memory but it doesn't seem to be recognized as a java process. • Connection reset when calling disconnect() using enterprisedt's ftp java framework

  I'm having trouble disconnecting from a ftp-server, using the enterprisedt java ftp framework. I can simply not call disconnect() on a FileTransferClient object without getting an error. (Application.java:184) I am using Eclipse 3.3. However, I see the problem when I run my program either from Eclipse or from a command line. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

• Making ANTLR generated class files into one jar file.

  With ANTLR, I get some java class files after compilation. And I need to make all the class files into one jar file. I make manifest.mf file that has one line "Main-class: Test" to indicate the main file. I run 'jar cmf manifest.mf hello.jar *.class' to get hello.jar file. Where does core JAVA fits in here. i was thinking of perhaps learning python as i know i have to learn Python only not its variations SO please guide me one thing which can solve my basic purpose of using ready made libraries of AI If i can do that with JSP then i will start with that.   Hi, I just installed Offic 2010 x64 on my Windows 7 x64 laptop. It already had Visual Studio 2010 on it. Now I try to add Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel or something to the project, but it just can't find the project. When I try to open a project from the website of Microsoft (a sample of Office development) Visual Studio says that that kind of project is not supported. How is this possible? Is it a problem that I installed x64 of Office? Or is the problem Visual Studio 2010? Thanks

  I'm working with C# and Office 2007's Excel Interop API. I'm opening an Excel file, applying some formatting and then sending it to the printer. I've got a problem, though. The Footer text doesn't appear to be printing. If I check the PageSetup.RightFooter property, I can see the expected Page Number in the Footer. That Page Number doesn't appear anywhere on the printed output sheet. When I print using Excel, though, they appear. Does anyone know why my Footer text is not appearing? Here's my code.   I thought the task should be fairly easy, but my understanding of javac and java in general is rather poor. I am using Windows8 and would like to compile a single file.java that makes use of other classes. I successfully (at least without any warnings) compiled my file by calling: javac -cp relative_path_to_needed_classes relative_path_to_file_java\file.java Now if I want to run the result of compilation (file.class) by calling: java -cp relative_path_to_needed_classes relative_path_to_file_java\file I get: Error: Could not find or load main class relative_path_to_file_java\file I was trying a lot of combination to modify the -cp (eg. by adding .\;relative_path_to_file;) but still the closest where I get is: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError : relative_path_to_file\file (wrong name: file) The file from (wrong name: file) is the name of the file and the name of the public class within the file. I was reading a lot on SO and other sources but could not figure out what is wrong. Btw. as a result of compilation some other classes were created: file$1.class file$name1.class file$name2.class (where name1 and name2 are names of private classes within file.java) My questions are: What is (the most) probably source of my error / what am I doing wrong? What is the purpose of file$1.class? What is the minimum I should specify in -cp? May encoding play any role? Do every java class have to reside in a package? (rather not directly related to my issue) Do order of paths specified in -cp play any role in runtime?

  Hello, I'm trying to write a Delphi program that will loop through each worksheet in an Excel file and format some cells. I'm receiving an error while trying to use the for-in loop over the Workbook.Worksheets collection, though. The error is specifically: [DCC Error] Office.pas(36): E2431 for-in statement cannot operate on collection type 'Sheets' because 'Sheets' does not contain a member for 'GetEnumerator', or it is inaccessible The line of code this occurs for is: for Worksheet in Workbook.Worksheets do The definition of Worksheet and Workbook is as follows: var ExcelApp: ExcelApplication; var Workbook: ExcelWorkbook; var Worksheet: ExcelWorksheet; I'm porting this code to Delphi from C#, in which it works. I feel like I've done it right, I know that the button doesn't do anything as of now, but I just want to make the whole thing work and expand the code thereafter.   I have a java object which calls into a C++ shared object via JNI. In C++, I am saving a reference to the JNIEnv and jObject. I am then trying to call back into my original Java object using the jobject I saved initially, but I think because I am on the GLThread, I get the following error. I need to get back to my original Java Object. Is it a matter of switching threads before I call back into Java? If so, how do I do so ?

• Read varbinary data in java

  I made a Java application which reads some files from SQL server. Those files are saved to a varbinary(MAX) field in SQL Server by a third party web service. My problem is that when I want to read those files with my Java application, those binary data show different content in the Java application. In fact, I read data byte by byte and I figured out that some bytes did not show the real values which were saved in the database. I found out what the problem is, but I couldn’t find a solution yet. I found out that in the web service every varbinary data is saved to database as byte data (in .Net each byte takes 0 to 255). But, when I want to read the binary data in Java, it takes different values and cause an exception with some values, because in Java a byte value takes -127 to 127. In my Java application I want to write those data to a file by OutputStream.write(byte[]) method. How can I solve this problem? I think that I have to find a way to convert c# byte[] to a Java byte[] (or binary data), but how can I do that?

• C# app that uses Excel Interop, easy switch between 2003 2007?

  I have an app written that just does really basic I/O on a spreadsheet. Read in a bunch of cells, do some sorting, and dump the output back into another spreadsheet. Works great on my machine. I have Office 2003 installed. When it runs on someone elses machine with 2007, it bombs, presumably due to the different versions of the Interop assemblies. I was hoping someone knew a way to dynamically change which/where the assembly is loaded from depending on the office version (getting the office version is easy from the registry). Sifting thru the rest of the internet, i didnt see anything to indicate that was possible :( . I tried installing the 2007 PIAs, but when i try to add a reference, they dont show up and i have no idea where to browse for them (they arent in the c:\windows\assemblies\; maybe the install didnt work). Am I going to have to get a machine with 2007 installed to build on every time i need to make updates?
