• Bind a Wijmo Grid to Salesforce.com Through the Salesforce OData Connector

  This article will explain how to connect to any RSSBus OData Connector with Wijmo's data grid using JSONP. While the example will use the Salesforce Connector, the same process can be followed for any of the RSSBus OData Connectors. Step 1: Download and install both the Salesforce Connector from RSSBus and the Wijmo javascript library. Step 2: Next you will want to configure the Salesforce Connector to connect with your Salesforce account. If you browse to the Help tab in the Salesforce Connector application, there is a link to the Getting Started Guide which will walk you through setting up the Salesforce Connector. Step 3: Once you have successfully configured the Salesforce Connector application, you will want to open a Wijmo sample grid file to edit. This example will use the overview.html grid found in the Samples folder. Step 4: First, we will wrap the jQuery document ready function in a callback function for the JSONP service. In this example, we will wrap this in function called fnCallback which will take a single object args. <script id="scriptInit" type="text/javascript"> function fnCallback(args) { $(document).ready(function () { $("#demo").wijgrid({ ... }); }); }; </script> Step 5: Next, we need to format the columns object in a format that Wijmo's data grid expects. In this example, we will set the data input parameter to the args.data object and the columns input parameter to our newly created columns object. You can find this by clicking on the Settings tab of the Salesforce Connector. Once you have found the JSONP URL, you will need to supply a valid table name that you want to connect with Wijmo. In this example, we will connect to the Lead table. You will also need to add authentication options in this step. In the example we will append the authtoken of the user who has access to the Salesforce Connector using the @authtoken query string parameter. IMPORTANT: This is not secure and will expose the authtoken of the user whose authtoken you supply in this step. • EXC_BAD_ACCESS and KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS after intiating a print sequence.

  MAC G4/1.5GHz/2GB/1TB+ OS10.4.11 Start up Volume has been erased/complete reinstall with updated software. Current problem only occurs when printing to an Epson Artisan 800 [USB as well as Ethernet connected] when using Macromedia FreeHand 10.0.1.67. All other apps/printers work fine. Memory has been removed/swapped/reinstalled several times, CPU was changed from 1.5GB to 1.3GB. Page(s) will print, but application quits within a second or two after selecting "print." Apple has never replied, Epson hasn't a clue, and I am befuddled!! Perhaps there is GURU out their who and see a bigger-better picture and understands how to interpret all of this stuff. If so, it would be a terrific pleasure to get a handle on how to cure this problem or get some A M M U N I T I O N to fire in the right direction. I thank you in advance.   I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and VMvware workstation 7.0.1 build-227600. The virtual machine i'm running in VMware is a custom distribution built on Debian Linux version 3.1. I'm still pretty much a beginner with UNIX administration. After having messed around with the vmware (changed only the name of the folder, the vmx and and other .v* files accordingly in which the .vmx was situated, and the configuration in the vmx file accordingly), the network devices on the virtual machine do not work anymore. The virtual machine is used for securely sending messages. The virtual machine: As far as I know, this perl file called proxy-gen-ifalias eth0 is responsible for properly setting up the two virtual network devices eth0 and eth1. The Virtual machine comes with a GUI interface in which I have set up two ethernet network devices, one internal, the other external. • Virtual host config issues in osx 10.7 server app

  I have two mac mini lion servers setup to run as production and staging machines. My sysadmin decided on these machines over the previous CentOS we had because it had an "interface" to be able to manage it, rather than just the terminal. To be honest, I prefer the terminal. My problem is, the mac osx 10.7 server.app seems to be having issues with the creation of virtual hosts in the 'Web' section. It seems VERY touchy. For example, I cannot create a http virtual host first. I have to create a https host first with a unique dns name 9e..g vuly6), then create the http host with a different dns name to the first (e.g. www), or it appears to override it the first one, even though one is ssl and one is non-ssl. Further, it seems to override perfectly good configurations at random. For example, the default sites directory is usually /Users/default/Sites/Customsites or something, but sometimes when I load the server.app it changes to /var/empty. Also, if I change or add extra virtual hosts after the first one or two, it starts to mess up and the first two virtual hosts start having issues. Has anyone had any experience with setting up virtual hosts via this app? Am I able to manually create these virtual hosts, without using the app, and without the app overriding my settings when I restart apache?

  What I'm trying to attempt is to access methods on a Silverlight control via the COM automation model. Theoretically it should be possible, as exposing the Silverlight control's methods as scriptable members exposes them through an IDispatch interface. I have been able to access the IDispatch interface through the automation model correctly but when I attempt to call a method on the exposed interface via Invoke it crashes. I was wondering if anyone knew whether this was expected behaviour, i.e. I'm violating some basic sandboxing requirement, or whether this should work and it is just something in my implementation that needs correcting?   I have a C# app, and I'm looking at using the Windows Media Player COM control to play animation and audio. So far, the only way I see of programatically controlling what the control is playing is to set its URL property to point to some file (I assume there's some way to pass in a playlist). Is there any way the WMP can render an AVI that is entirely in-memory, like a MemoryStream or something? If so, can WMP skip from one AVI to the next seamlessly (i.e. no glitch in either the audio or the video as it transitions from one to the next)? If WMP only plays files, is there some way to cue up a list of the files in advance of play start? If so, can WMP be made to skip from one file to the next without a brief interruption? Any knowledge or links to knowledge would be much appreciated.

I've got a test program that sends requests to the virtual IP until it gets the bad response, but how can I tell to which real IP a request to the virtual IP got routed? On the box doing the virtual IP magic, here's the virtual IP configuration (for the service I care about): IP Virtual Server version 1.2.1 (size=4096) Prot LocalAddress:Port Scheduler Flags -> RemoteAddress:Port Forward Weight ActiveConn InActConn ...   I have set up keepalived on two Debian machines for high availability, but I've run into the maximum number of virtual IP's I can assign to my vrrp_instance. How would I go about configuring and failing over 20+ virtual IP's? This is the, very simple, setup: LB01: 10.200.85.1 LB02: 10.200.85.2 Virtual IPs: 10.200.85.100 - 10.200.85.200 Each machine is also running Apache (later Nginx) binding on the virtual IPs for SSL client certificate termination and proxying to backend webservers. The reason I need so many VIP's is the inability to use VirtualHost on HTTPS. This is my keepalived.conf: vrrp_script chk_apache2 { script "killall -0 apache2" interval 2 weight 2 } vrrp_instance VI_1 { interface eth0 state MASTER virtual_router_id 51 priority 101 virtual_ipaddress { 10.200.85.100 . . all the way to . 10.200.85.200 } An identical configuration is on the BACKUP machine, and it's working fine, but only up to the 20th IP. I have found a HOWTO discussing this problem. Basically, they suggest having just one VIP and routing all traffic "via" this one IP, and "all will be well". Is this a good approach? I would like to expose some of these virtual machines on the internet, to make it possible for customers to test the products we're developing and make available other products for demo purposes. One of the server NICs is configured with a public IP. However before exposing anything on the web I would like to be sure that if one of the virtual machines get compromised, the attacker doesn't reach the rest of the hosts. What I would like to do is to put these virtual machines into a DMZ. These are the steps I'm planning to do: Create a tap interface in the virtualization host (let's say tap1) Create a bridge using tap1 and give it an IP in a subnet separate from the other hosts. Let's say 10.0.0.1 Attach the DMZ virtual machines to the bridge and configure their IP statically (10.0.0.2, 10.0.0.3, etc...) Using UFW, forbid any traffic from 10.0.0.0/24 to any of the internal hosts, allow the traffic from the internal hosts towards 10.0.0.0/24 and expose the virtual machines on the web using port forwarding. Do you think this setup is safe? Can you suggest any improvement or a better/safer approach? Thanks in advance!

  Hello, guys! Very important question: Please, look at my project (300Kb). I can`t use MFC/ATL, pure C++ only. I have COM library (niapi.dll), but no sources/headers available, dll only. There is class for connecting to server (NiApi::SrvrSession), class has login event handler (NiApi::SrvrSession::OnLogin). I used #import "NiApi.dll" to generate wrappers/information, then ISrvrSessionPtr session(L"NiApi.SrvrSession"); to create object, then trying session->put_OnLogin(); to assign events, but there is no one put_On or such member. niapi.tlh have _ISrvrSessionEvents struct inside, but it have no relations with SrvrSession. I need to use events from NiApi::SrvrSession for handling connection status. Please help or my boss kill me! (sorry for broken english, I read better than speak;)

  I have a legacy 3rd party COM .dll that is used to provide an Excel-callable interface to a proprietary database product. The .dll runs on the same physical machine as Excel. I have a need to execute the .dll (and the database it is calling) on a remote server while still maintaining simple Excel callability from the client. I'm totally confused by all the different MS technologies that seem to hint there is an easy way to do this. Can someone please point me in the right direction (easier is better)?

• Apache not routing to tomcat on correct Virtual host

  We are looking at moving from Websphere to Tomcat. I'm trying to send traffic to tomcat from apache web server based on the virtual host directives in apache web server. After some playing around I have it sort of working, but I'm noticing that if I have a JKMount directive in the first VirtualHost in apache, all virtualHosts will send to the application server. If I have the JKMount in Virtual hosts further down in the configs, then only that VirtualHost works with the request. • ubuntu 12.04 kvm virtual server network setup, can't get the machine to be connectable

  I have worked on my Ubuntu Server host for weeks now and I just can not manage to get the virtual machines into the network.... here's what I need to do: I need to be able to create virtual machines that have IP addresses that can be reached from the outside (192.168 network). I need to be able to connect to the virtual machines through ssh, ftp, http and preferably https, anything else doesn't matter that much. So far everything seems simple enough and I have a lot of leeway in terms of IP address range and server/client configuration. I have the option of taking part of a /24 net as most IPs aren't used, and if it's absolutely necessary I have the option of creating a new /24 subnet. Also have the option of reformatting and reinstalling OS on the host and recreating the virtual machines as nothing has been done other than trying to get virtual machines to work. I would prefer if the virtual machines were just part of the normal network which would be 192.168.5.0/24. The host machine has 2 network cards so I don't even necessarily need the Host to be connectable in the same /24 network. I have tried (I think) just about everything from about 5 different tutorials on bridging (giving br0 the same IP that eth0 used to have (Host is able to connect to VM and vice versa, VM doesn't have outside network access), having eth0 set up like it always was and having br0 have a different IP (same as above), NAT with port forwarding (which I would have preferred not to use but will if it works), turning off one of the hosts network cards and just using one of them, different subnets.... etc. I do know my way around iptables fairly well.... Host is 64bit Ubuntu Server 12.04, using libvirt/kvm. edits: Local network is 192.168.5.0/24, host has static ip 192.168.5.254, GW .5.1 which is also nameserver. We have a second Local network at 192.168.10.0/24 with .10.1 GW, but both hosts and VMs were supposed to go into the .5 subnet. The .10 subnet isn't required, but it wouldn't be horrible if the Host were only accessible in the .10 subnet.

• Can't launch glassfish on ec2 - can't open port

  I'm trying to start glassfish on an EBS-based AMI of Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit. I have used glassfish on non-ec2 servers with no problems, but on ec2 I get this message: $ sudo -u glassfish bin/asadmin start-domain domain1 There is a process already using the admin port 4848 -- it probably is another instance of a GlassFish server. Command start-domain failed. I know that ec2 has requires that firewall rules be modified using ec2-authorize to let outside traffic thru the firewall, as I had to do to make ssh work. This still doesn't explain the port error when all I'm trying to do is start glassfish so I can try $ wget localhost:8080and make sure it's working. This is very frustrating and I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks. FINAL UPDATE: Sorry if you came here looking for answers. I never figured out what was causing the problem. I created another fresh instance, installed the same stuff, and Glassfish worked perfectly. Something obviously got boned during installation, but I have no idea what. I guess it will remain a mystery.
