  • PHP app breaks on Nginx, but works on Apache

    - by rizon1990
    I want to migrate a PHP application from Apache to Nginx. The problem is that the App breaks, because the routing doesn't work anymore and I'm not exactly sure how to fix it. The PHP application includes some .htaccess files and I tried to convert those to Nginx. The first one is in the document root: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^$ public/ [L] RewriteRule (.*) public/$1 [L] </IfModule> The second one is in /public/ <IfModule mod_rewrite.c RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d # Rewrite all other URLs to index.php/URL RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?url=$1 [PT,L] </IfModule> <IfModule !mod_rewrite.c> ErrorDocument 404 index.php </IfModule> The third and last one is: deny from all My nginx version of it looks like the following: #user nobody; worker_processes 1; #pid logs/nginx.pid; events { worker_connections 1024; } http { include mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; sendfile on; #tcp_nopush on; keepalive_timeout 65; gzip on; server { listen 8080; server_name localhost; root /Library/WebServer/Documents/admin; location / { index index.php; rewrite ^/$ /public/ break; rewrite ^(.*)$ /public/$1 break; } location /public { if (!-e $request_filename){ rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php?url=$1 break; } } location /library { deny all; } #error_page 404 /404.html; # redirect server error pages to the static page /50x.html # error_page 500 502 503 504 /50x.html; location = /50x.html { root html; } location ~ \.php$ { root /Library/WebServer/Documents/admin; fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } } } The problem I face is that something that the routing is broken and just returns a 404 page instead. Hopefully someone has an idea and know how to fix it ;) Thanks EDIT I got it working with this config location /library { deny all; } location ~* ^.+.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|ico|css|zip|tgz|gz|rar|bz2|doc|xls|exe|pdf|ppt|txt|tar|mid|midi|wav|bmp|rtf|js)$ { access_log off; rewrite ^(.*)$ /public/$1 break; } location / { rewrite ^/(.+)$ /index.php?url=$1 last; } I'm sure there are better solutions and I'm open for suggestions.

  • How can one select an application to switch to in task switcher with track pad (MacBook Pro, Mac OS

    - by index
Three finger swipe left/right - Task switcher shows up (a horizontal bar with app symbols). Two finger swipe - highlights an icon and shows app name. ?? - switches to highlighted app. Since the highlighting is independent of the mouse cursor, a click doesn't work here without moving the mouse cursor. But I don't want this (locate mouse cursor, move the extra mile..). Maybe Better Touch Tool allows to configure a click to act as SPACE or RETURN in the task switcher? But how did Apple intend to use this?

  • php-fpm or nginx: bad gateway

    - by John Tate
    I'm getting a bad gateway error all the sudden for a site. I didn't change the configuration for the site, I just added a new server config where I put them under /etc/nginx/servers and it stopped working. The new server works, and there is no conflict between the php-fpm listen addresses. server { listen 80; server_name obfuscated.onion; location = / { root /var/www/sites/obfuse; index index.php; } location / { root /var/www/sites/obfuse; index index.php; if (!-f $request_filename) { rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php?q=$1 last; break; } if (!-d $request_filename) { rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php?q=$1 last; break; } } error_page 404 /index.php; location ~* ^.+.(jpg|jpeg|gif|css|png|js|ico)$ { root /var/www/sites/obfuse; access_log off; expires 30d; } location ~ \.php$ { fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME /var/www/sites/obfuse$fastcgi_script_name; fastcgi_param QUERY_STRING $query_string; fastcgi_param REQUEST_METHOD $request_method; fastcgi_param CONTENT_TYPE $content_type; fastcgi_param CONTENT_LENGTH $content_length; fastcgi_param PATH_INFO $fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } } There is nothing unusual in php-fpm's log even when I raised the level to debug. • linux/shell: change a file's modify timestamp relatively?

    - by index
My Canon camera produces files like IMG_1234.JPG and MVI_1234.AVI. It also timestamps those files. Unfortunately during a trip to another timezone several cameras were used, one of which did not have the correct time zone set - meta data mess.. Now I would like to correct this. Proposed algorithm: 1 read file's modify date 2 add delta, i.e. hhmmss (preferred: change timezone) 3 write new timestamp Unless someone knows a tool or a combination of tools that do the trick directly, maybe one could simplify the calculation using epoch time (seconds since ..) and whip up a shell script. Any help appreciated!

  • Image manipulation filter needed: unobtrusively hide an area by blurring or smudging?

    - by index
I would like to hide an empty area of a panorama stitched with hugin (using the GIMP). Hide in the sense of blending it in unobtrusively. I.e. fill the area with the average color of the surroundings and blur it. Or manually smudge the surroundings into the empty area. Is there a filter/plug-in that automatically smudges/blurs the edges into the area? Not looking for seam carving. Thanks.

  • What are the IR codes the new Apple Remote (alu) uses?

    - by index
I would like to clone the new Apple Remote (infrared, second generation, aluminium) just for fun with a microcontroller. Most codes of the previous model can be found in the LIRC remote control database (all except the key combinations menu + <<,play, which unpair, change ID, pair the remote. I also don't know which bit encodes the battery status. It uses a modified 32 bit NEC protocol (reverse LIRC codes bytewise). But the new Apple remote uses two additional codes for the play and the new select button. I don't have a mac, so I can't brute force test codes either ;-) So if someone possesses such a remote and the ability of recording those two new buttons and three combinations I'd really appreciate it. If you can't run LIRC (or it gets confused by the new codes) and you don't have an oscilloscope or logic analyser, maybe you could hook up a photo diode to your sound input and record the codes with Audacity? Just hit record, hit each button and combo a few times, hit stop, upload the uncompressed WAV file to a sharing site, done. That'd be great!

  • Nginx Reverse Proxy Node.js and Wordpress + Static Files Issue

  • vBulletin 5 + lighthttpd url rewriting

    - by Boots
    I'm trying to get vBulletin 5 up and running under lighttpd but I'm having some problems with url rewriting. Here is the apache .htaccess provided by vBulletin. <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?routestring=$1 [L,QSA] #needed because admincp is an actual directory. RewriteRule ^(admincp/)$ index.php?routestring=$1 [L,QSA] </IfModule> If this helps, this is the IIS config provided by vBulletin <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!-- This file is to support redirection in IIS. It is harmless if you are running under Apache --> <configuration> <system.webServer> <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="Main Redirect" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="^(.*)$" ignoreCase="false" /> <conditions logicalGrouping="MatchAll"> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsFile" ignoreCase="false" negate="true" /> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsDirectory" ignoreCase="false" negate="true" /> </conditions> <action type="Rewrite" url="index.php/{R:1}" /> </rule> <rule name="Admincp" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="^(admincp/)$" ignoreCase="false" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="index.php/{R:1}" /> </rule> </rules> </rewrite> </system.webServer> </configuration> Anyone have any suggestions as to the lighttpd url.rewrite equivalent? All my experiments have failed thus far. I'm running lighttpd-1.4.31-1 I tried this but it didn't work. I think it has something to do with me not properly emulating [QS] in the .htaccess url.rewrite-once = ("^(.*)$" => "index.php?routestring=$1", "^(admincp/)$)" => "index.php?routestring=$1") This has gotten me closer but not fully functional yet. url.rewrite-if-not-file = ("^(.*)$" => "index.php?routestring=$1", "^(admincp/)$)" => "index.php?routestring=$1")

  • dinamically resizing row height in QTreeWidget/QTreeView during edinitg items

    - by serge
Hi everyone, I have some problems with sizing row's height in QTreeWidget. I use QStyledItemDelegate with QPlainTextEdit. During editing text in QPlainTextEdit i check for changes with a help of: rect = self.blockBoundingRect(self.firstVisibleBlock()) and if text it's height changes i need row in QTreeWidget also resizing. But i don't know how to inform TreeWidget or a Delegate about changes, i even tried to initialize editor with index, that i could use in a future, but it suddenly changes: class MyEditor(QPlainTextEdit): def __init__(self, index = None, parent=None): super(MyEditor, self).__init__(parent) self.index = index self.connect(self, SIGNAL("textChanged()"), self.setHeight) def setHeight(self): if self.index: rect = self.blockBoundingRect(self.firstVisibleBlock()) self.resize(rect.width(), rect.height()) self.emit(SIGNAL("set_height"), QSize(rect.width(), rect.height()), self.index) How can i bound editor's size changes with TreeWidget? And one more thing, by default all items (cells) in TreeWidget have -1 or some big value as default width. I need whole text in cell to be visible, so how can i limit it only by visible range and expand it in height? Thank you in advance, Serge

  • Unable to retrieve information form HP-UX pst_status object

    - by bogertron
I am attempting to get process information by using the HP-UX C/C++ library. After scouring the internet, I have discovered that HP-UX has the pstat.h header file which allows programmers to retrieve the process information. After attempting to understand code from the internet hp website, I attempted to create a little test sample to comprehend what the code does. I attempted to use example 3, however, I ran into several issues. The first issue came when I attempted to execute the following line of code: (void)printf("pid is %d, command is %s\n", pst[i].pst_pid, pst[i].pst_ucomm); When I attempted to print the string, I hit a memory fault. So I decided to attempt to see what the string is and came up with the following: #include <sys/param.h> #include <sys/pstat.h> #include <sys/unistd.h> #include <string.h> int main(int argc, char** argv) { #define BURST ((size_t)10) struct pst_status pst[BURST]; int i, count; int idx = 0; /* index within the context */ int index = 0; /* loop until count == 0, will occur all have been returned */ while ((count=pstat_getproc(pst, sizeof(pst[0]),BURST,idx))>0) { index = 0; printf("index: %d", index); /* got count (max of BURST) this time. process them */ while (pst[i].pst_ucomm[index] != '\0') { printf("%c", pst[i].pst_ucomm[index]); index++; } printf("\n"); for (i = 0; i < count; i++) { printf("pid is %d, command is \n", pst[i].pst_pid); } /* * now go back and do it again, using the next index after * the current 'burst' */ idx = pst[count-1].pst_idx + 1; } if (count == -1) perror("pstat_getproc()"); #undef BURST } Unfortunately, what happens is that I get the first process printed, then pid is 2, command is pid is 2, command is pid is 2, command is... I know that I must be doing something foolish since my C/C++ skills are not that great, but I cannot figure out what the issue is since the code is largely copied from the hp website. So here's the question(s) for clarity: 1. Why can't printf("%s", pst[i].pst_ucomm); handle strings? 2. Why can't I iterate over the processes in the system? Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • How to HitTest in a WPF Grid Panel to find column index.

    - by John
Hi. We need to create a "timeline" feature where a user is allowed to drag and draw "time spans" into a WPF grid (we thought this better than a Canvas since it has resizing capabilities). Each span spans multiple columns, but only one row. We utilize the PreviewMouseDown/Up/Move events to see when the user clicks, drags, and releases the mouse. On the "Down" we create a new rectangle and on the "Move" we resize the rectangle, settings its ColumnSpan property to the correct value every time the mouse enteres the next column. At this point the grid has 48 1-star-sized columns. How do we find out which column the user has clicked on? Right now we are unable to find the column using the VisualTreeHelper.HitTest function. We would like to position the rectangle correctly via Grid.SetColumn(rect, X) and then resize it as needed using Grid.SetColumnSpan(rect, Y) Has anyone done something like this before and can help us? Or, is there a better way to draw what we need? Thanks.

  • How to set selected segment index in UISegmentedControl? (iPhone SDK)

    - by seanny94
Hello all! I'm trying to avoid an app crash here... I have a button that will remove a segment from a UISegmentedControl. If that button is pressed and the user has the segment to be removed selected, the segment will remove and no selection will be highlighted. However, when another button is pushed that does an action that retrieves the selectedSegmentIndex, the app crashes. In short: Is there any way to force the selection of a segment in a UISegmentedControl? edit it seems as though the UISegmentedControl is returning a selectedSegmentIndex of -1 when no segment is selected... let's see what I can do from here.

  • Can the Windows Indexing Service restart an app pool if it doesn't index the Web.Config?

    - by JamesEggers
I am having a slight debate with a colleague of mine on this subject. Scenario: A web site has a sub directory that is indexed using the Windows Indexing Service. There is not a web.config in this directory and the indexing service is not indexing the parent directory which is the site root. Something is causing the app pool to restart at supposedly random times. From what I am finding online, the only time the Windows Indexing service would cause an app pool restart is if it's indexing the web.config (or machine.config). My colleague is saying that the indexing service is causing the restarts just because it's in a child folder of the root. So...does anyone have any information or experience on this? If the indexing service is indexing a child folder of the root but not the root directory itself, can it cause IIS to restart the site's app pool? EDIT: The sub directory in question is NOT the bin directory. I know it would cause such as well; however, the bin directory is not the target of the indexing service.

    - by Mike Hofer
This sounds like it would be a simple task, but I'm running into some issues. I have some fairly straightforward code for my C# application: private void SwitchToSdi() { MainWindow mainWindow = GetMainWindow(); for (int index = mainWindow.MdiChildren.Length - 1; index >= 0; index--) { Form form = mainWindow.MdiChildren[index]; if (!(form is MainWindow)) { form.Visible = false; form.MdiParent = null; form.Visible = true; mainWindow.MdiChildren[index] = null; } } mainWindow.IsMdiContainer = false; } And then, private void SwitchToMdi() { MainWindow mainWindow = GetMainWindow(); mainWindow.IsMdiContainer = true; for (int index = Application.OpenForms.Count - 1; index >= 0; index--) { Form form = Application.OpenForms[index]; if (!(form is MainWindow)) { form.Visible = false; form.MdiParent = mainWindow; form.Visible = true; } } } Note that MainWindow is an MDI parent window, with its IsMdiContainer property set to True. The user can toggle between MDI and SDI in the Options dialog. That much works beautifully. If I switch to SDI, the new windows open up OUTSIDE the main window, which is great. Similarly, if I switch to MDI, they open up inside the container. However, I've noticed a few things. Open MDI child windows don't become SDI windows as I would have expected them to. Open SDI windows don't become MDI child windows as I would have expected them to. Even after I set IsMdiContainer to true in the call to SwitchToMdi(), if I try to open a new window, I get an exception that tells me that the main window isn't an MDI container. o_O Someone please throw me a bone here. This shouldn't be rocket science. But I'm not finding a whole lot of useful help out there on the Intarwebs (read: g00gle is fairly useless). Has anyone actually implemented this behavior in .NET before? How did you achieve it? What am I missing here? Halp!

  • Index was outside the bounds of the array. IndexOutOfRangeException in LINQ to SQL

    - by gtas
Im getting this exception in the protected virtual void SendPropertyChanged(String propertyName) { if ((this.PropertyChanged != null)) { this.PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(propertyName)); <---- HERE !!! } } of one recently table association i created, there lots of same associations around the database, and this happened in the 4 specific tables i added. Its 1...* relationship and association is Primary Table - Id (identity auto generated) Foreign PId column int not null. I just dont get it....Im using SqlMetal for generation, i regenerated the schema, rebuild, same. This is causing while inserting row in DevExpress XtraGrid, but i dont think this should be issue, same control with same functionality but for different tables works ok. I use grid's event for append value in a property when the entity creating. I disabled this but same again. Recreated the association. No change, exception occurs. Any ideas?

  • Problems with Routing URLs using CGI and Bottle.py

    - by Risingson
I've been having difficulty getting anything more than a simple index / to return correctly using bottle.py in a CGI environment. When I try to return /hello I get a 404 response. However, if I request /index.py/hello import bottle from bottle import route @route('/') def index(): return 'Index' @route('/hello') def hello(): return 'Hello' if __name__ == '__main__': from wsgiref.handlers import CGIHandler CGIHandler().run(bottle.default_app()) And here is my .htaccess file DirectoryIndex index.py <ifmodule mod_rewrite.c=""> RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.py/$1 [L] </ifmodule> I copied much of the code from here as I'm using DH and it seemed relevant: http://blog.coderonfire.com/2010/02/running-bottle-python-micro-framework.html Thanks for helping.

  • Checking to see if a generic class is inherited from an interface

    - by SnOrfus
I've got a class that inherits from an interface. That interface defines an event that I'd like to subscribe to in the calling code. I've tried a couple of things, but they all resolve to false (where I know it's true). How can I check to see if a class implements a specific interface. Here's what I've tried (note, the object in question is a usercontrol that implements MyInterface, stored in an array of controls, only some of which implement MyInterface - it is not null): if (this.controls[index].GetType().IsSubclassOf(typeof(MyInterface))) ((MyInterface)this.controls[index]).Event += this.Handler; if (this.controls[index].GetType().IsAssignableFrom(typeof(MyInterface))) ((MyInterface)this.controls[index]).Event += this.Handler; if (this.controls[index].GetType() == typeof(MyInterface)) ((MyInterface)this.controls[index]).Event += this.Handler; All to no avail.

  • Coupling/Cohesion

    - by user559142
Hi All, Whilst there are many good examples on this forum that contain examples of coupling and cohesion, I am struggling to apply it to my code fully. I can identify parts in my code that may need changing. Would any Java experts be able to take a look at my code and explain to me what aspects are good and bad. I don't mind changing it myself at all. It's just that many people seem to disagree with each other and I'm finding it hard to actually understand what principles to follow... package familytree; /** * * @author David */ public class Main { /** * @param args the command line arguments */ public static void main(String[] args) { // TODO code application logic here KeyboardInput in = new KeyboardInput(); FamilyTree familyTree = new FamilyTree(in, System.out); familyTree.start(); } } package familytree; import java.io.PrintStream; /** * * @author David */ public class FamilyTree { /** * @param args the command line arguments */ private static final int DISPLAY_FAMILY_MEMBERS = 1; private static final int ADD_FAMILY_MEMBER = 2; private static final int REMOVE_FAMILY_MEMBER = 3; private static final int EDIT_FAMILY_MEMBER = 4; private static final int SAVE_FAMILY_TREE = 5; private static final int LOAD_FAMILY_TREE = 6; private static final int DISPLAY_ANCESTORS = 7; private static final int DISPLAY_DESCENDANTS = 8; private static final int QUIT = 9; private KeyboardInput in; private Family family; private PrintStream out; public FamilyTree(KeyboardInput in, PrintStream out) { this.in = in; this.out = out; family = new Family(); } public void start() { out.println("\nWelcome to the Family Tree Builder"); //enterUserDetails(); initialise(); while (true) { displayFamilyTreeMenu(); out.print("\nEnter Choice: "); int option = in.readInteger(); if (option > 0 && option <= 8) { if (quit(option)) { break; } executeOption(option); } else { out.println("Invalid Choice!"); } } } //good private void displayFamilyTreeMenu() { out.println("\nFamily Tree Menu"); out.println(DISPLAY_FAMILY_MEMBERS + ".
