  • .NET Regular Expression to split multiple words or phrases

    - by Cj Anderson
I'm using the code below to take a string and split it up into an array. It will take: Disney Land and make it two separate elements. If the string contains "Disney Land" then it is one element in the array. Works great, however it adds some empty elements to the array each time. So I just iterate over the elements and remove them if they are empty. Is there a tweak to the code below that will prevent those empty elements from occurring? Private m_Reg As Regex m_Reg = New Regex("([^""^\s]+)\s*|""([^""]+)""\s*") Dim rezsplit = m_Reg.Split(criteria)

  • Regular Expression (preg_match_all)

    - by Helena
This is my code: <?php $matchWith = "http://videosite.com/ID123"; preg_match_all('\S/videosite\.com\/(\w+)\S/i', $matchWith, $matches); foreach($matches[1] as $value) { print '<a href="http://videosite.com/'.$value.'"> Hyperlink </a>'; } ?> It's not working. I want to exclude every match that has a whitespace before or after the Link (with the ID). I used \S for this. For example if: $matchWith = " http://videosite.com/ID123 "; it should not display anything. Thank you.

  • Template with constant expression: error C2975 with VC++2008

    - by Arman
    Hello, I am trying to use elements of meta programming, but hit the wall with the first trial. I would like to have a comparator structure which can be used as following: intersect_by<ID>(L1.data, L2.data, "By ID: "); intersect_by<IDf>(L1.data, L2.data, "By IDf: "); Where: struct ID{};// Tag used for original IDs struct IDf{};// Tag used for the file position //following Boost.MultiIndex examples template<typename Tag,typename MultiIndexContainer> void intersect_by( const MultiIndexContainer& L1,const MultiIndexContainer& L2,std::string msg, Tag* =0 /* fixes a MSVC++ 6.0 bug with implicit template function parms / ) { / obtain a reference to the index tagged by Tag */ const typename boost::multi_index::index<MultiIndexContainer,Tag>::type& L1_ID_index= get<Tag>(L1); const typename boost::multi_index::index<MultiIndexContainer,Tag>::type& L2_ID_index= get<Tag>(L2); std::set_intersection( L1_ID_index.begin(), L1_ID_index.end(), L2_ID_index.begin(), L2_ID_index.end(), std::inserter(s, s.begin()), strComparator() // Here I get the C2975 error ); } template<int N> struct strComparator; template<> struct strComparator<0>{ bool operator () (const particleID& id1, const particleID& id2) const { return id1.ID struct strComparator<1{ bool operator () (const particleID& id1, const particleID& id2) const { return id1.IDf }; What I am missing? kind regards Arman.

  • Is there any way to optimize this LINQ where clause that searches for multiple keywords on multiple

    - by Daniel T.
I have a LINQ query that searches for multiple keywords on multiple columns. The intention is that the user can search for multiple keywords and it will search for the keywords on every property in my Media entity. Here is a simplified example: var result = repository.GetAll<Media>().Where(x => x.Title.Contains("Apples") || x.Description.Contains("Apples") || x.Tags.Contains("Apples") || x.Title.Contains("Oranges") || x.Description.Contains("Oranges") || x.Tags.Contains("Oranges") || x.Title.Contains("Pears") || x.Description.Contains("Pears") || x.Tags.Contains("Pears") ); In other words, I want to search for the keywords Apples, Oranges, and Pears on the columns Title, Description, and Tags. The outputted SQL looks like this: SELECT * FROM Media this_ WHERE (((((((( this_.Title like '%Apples%' or this_.Description like '%Apples%') or this_.Tags like '%Apples%') or this_.Title like '%Oranges%') or this_.Description like '%Oranges%') or this_.Tags like '%Oranges%') or this_.Title like '%Pears%') or this_.Description like '%Pears%') or this_.Tags like '%Pears%') Is this the most optimal SQL in this case? If not, how do I rewrite the LINQ query to create the most optimal SQL statement? I'm using SQLite for testing and SQL Server for actual deployment.

  • How to match filetype with regular expression?

    - by Sanarothe
Hi. I'm stuck trying to get a regex to match a filetype in a sorting script. Dir.foreach(savedirs[0]) do |x| puts "Matching " + x + " against filetypes." case x when x.match(/^.*\.exe$/i) then puts x when x.match(/\.jpe?g$/) then FileUtils.move(x, sortpath[".exe"], :verbose => true) when x =~ /\.jpg$/ then FileUtils.move(x, sortpath[".jpg"]) end end I can't get any of these to match on in windows. All I need is to confirm that a given filename matches against compatible filetypes.

  • How to restrict access to a class's data based on state?

    - by Marcus Swope
In an ETL application I am working on, we have three basic processes: Validate and parse an XML file of customer information from a third party Match values received in the file to values in our system Load customer data in our system The issue here is that we may need to display the customer information from any or all of the above states to an internal user and there is data in our customer class that will never be populated before the values have been matched in our system (step 2). For this reason, I would like to have the values not even be available to be accessed when the customer is in this state, and I would like to have to avoid some repeated logic everywhere like: if (customer.IsMatched) DisplayTextOnWeb(customer.SomeMatchedValue); My first thought for this was to add a couple interfaces on top of Customer that would only expose the properties and behaviors of the current state, and then only deal with those interfaces. The problem with this approach is that there seems to be no good way to move from an ICustomerWithNoMatchedValues to an ICustomerWithMatchedValues without doing direct casts, etc... (or at least I can't find one). I can't be the first to have come across this, how do you normally approach this? As a last caveat, I would like for this solution to play nice with FluentNHibernate :) Thanks in advance...

  • Is is possible to populate a datatable using a Lambda expression(C#3.0)

    - by deepak.kumar.goyal
I have a datatable. I am populating some values into that. e.g. DataTable dt =new DataTable(); dt.Columns.Add("Col1",typeof(int)); dt.Columns.Add("Col2",typeof(string)); dt.Columns.Add("Col3",typeof(DateTime)); dt.Columns.Add("Col4",typeof(bool)); for(int i=0;i< 10;i++) dt.Rows.Add(i,"String" + i.toString(),DateTime.Now,(i%2 == 0)?true:false); There is nothing wrong in this program and gives me the expected output. However, recently , I am learning Lambda and has done some basic knowledge. With that I was trying to do the same thing as under Enumerable.Range(0,9).Select(i = > { dt.Rows.Add(i,"String" + i.toString(),DateTime.Now,(i%2 == 0)?true:false); }); But I am unsuccessful. Is my approach correct(Yes I know that I am getting compile time error; since not enough knowledge on the subject so far)? Can we achieve this by the way I am doing is a big doubt(as I donot know.. just giving a shot). If so , can some one please help me in this regard. I am using C#3.0 and dotnet framework 3.5 Thanks

  • Handling national language prefix for checkconstraints

    - by Chris Chilvers
I'm trying to create a check constraint such as CHECK Type IN (N'Create', N'Remove') for an enumeration's value. Sqlite complains about this syntax and only accepts CHECK Type IN ('Create', 'Remove'). The main database will be Sql Server 2005, but I use sqlite's in memory database for unit tests. Is there any way to get sqlite to recognise the national language (N) prefix? Alternatively, is there an easy way when using FluentNHibernate to adapt an nvarchar constant to match the database's dialect?

  • Which LINQ expression is faster

    - by Vlad Bezden
Hi All In following code public class Person { public string Name { get; set; } public uint Age { get; set; } public Person(string name, uint age) { Name = name; Age = age; } } void Main() { var data = new List<Person>{ new Person("Bill Gates", 55), new Person("Steve Ballmer", 54), new Person("Steve Jobs", 55), new Person("Scott Gu", 35)}; // 1st approach data.Where (x => x.Age > 40).ToList().ForEach(x => x.Age++); // 2nd approach data.ForEach(x => { if (x.Age > 40) x.Age++; }); data.ForEach(x => Console.WriteLine(x)); } in my understanding 2nd approach should be faster since it iterates through each item once and first approach is running 2 times: Where clause ForEach on subset of items from where clause. However internally it might be that compiler translates 1st approach to the 2nd approach anyway and they will have the same performance. Any suggestions or ideas? I could do profiling like suggested, but I want to understand what is going on compiler level if those to lines of code are the same to the compiler, or compiler will treat it literally. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Entity Framework: Generating database from classes

    - by Anonymous Coward
Hi Everyone Is it possible to create the database from the classes with entity framework 4.0? I found many tutorials on how to do it the other way round. But since we have already implemented and tested all classes of the domain we'd like to avoid changing them to much. If I used the wrong keywords in Google I'd appreciate you could post a link. Cheers, CA

  • Regular expression in BASH

    - by Ryan
Hello everyone, I was hoping someone could answer my quick question as I am going nuts! I have recently started learning regular expressions in my Java programming however am a little confused how to get certain features to work correctly directly in BASH. For example, the following code is not working as I think it should. echo 2222 | grep '2\{2\}' I am expecting it to return: 22 I have tried variations of it including: echo 2222 | grep '2{2}' echo 2222 | grep -P '2\{2\}' echo 2222 | grep -E '2\{2\}' However I am completely out of ideas. I'm sure this is a simple parameter / syntax fix and would love some help! P.S I've done tons of googling and every reference I find does not work in BASH; regex's can run on so many different platforms and engines =/

  • xml regular expression/regex OR operator

    - by Naz Haque
Hi am trying to use a regeX to read through my document to identify currency types whether they're $,£ or a €. The regex I've created doesn't seem to work, somebody please advise me what it should be. I'd really appreciate the help: The regEX I've created ("\$|£|€]")is in a simpleType within my XSD file used for validating a document. The code is show after the colon, please note to display on stackoverflow I've had to remove the open/close tags (<): xs:simpleType name="currencyType" xs:restriction base="utf8-string" xs:length value="1" / xs:pattern value="[\$|£|€]"/ /xs:restriction /xs:simpleType

  • Regex - replace only last part of an expression

    I'm attempting to find the best methodology for finding a specific pattern and then replace the ending portion of the pattern. Here is a quick example (in C#): //Find any year value starting with a bracket or underscore string patternToFind = "[[_]2007"; Regex yearFind = new Regex(patternToFind); //I want to change any of these values to x2008 where x is the bracket or underscore originally in the text. I was trying to use Regex.Replace(), but cannot figure out if it can be applied. If all else fails, I can find Matches using the MatchCollection and then switch out the 2007 value with 2008; however, I'm hoping for something more elegant MatchCollections matches = yearFind.Matches(" 2007 [2007 _2007"); foreach (Match match in matches){ //use match to find and replace value }

  • Approaches to use Repositories (w/ StructureMap) with AutoMapper?

    - by jacko
Any idea how I can tell AutoMapper to resolve a TypeConverter constructor argument using StructureMap? ie. We have this: private class GuidToContentProviderConverter : TypeConverter<Guid, ContentProvider> { private readonly IContentProviderRepository _repository; public GuidToContentProviderConverter(IContentProviderRepository repository) { _repository = repository; } protected override ContentProvider ConvertCore(Guid contentProviderId) { return _repository.Get(contentProviderId); } } And in the AutoMap registration: Mapper.CreateMap<Guid, ContentProvider>().ConstructUsing<GuidToContentProviderConverter>(); However, this generates a compile-time error about ctor args. Any ideas? Or ideas to other approaches for using Automapper to hydrate domain objects from viewmodel ID's using a repository?

  • How can I inject multiple repositories in a NServicebus message handler?

    - by Paco
I use the following: public interface IRepository<T> { void Add(T entity); } public class Repository<T> { private readonly ISession session; public Repository(ISession session) { this.session = session; } public void Add(T entity) { session.Save(entity); } } public class SomeHandler : IHandleMessages<SomeMessage> { private readonly IRepository<EntityA> aRepository; private readonly IRepository<EntityB> bRepository; public SomeHandler(IRepository<EntityA> aRepository, IRepository<EntityB> bRepository) { this.aRepository = aRepository; this.bRepository = bRepository; } public void Handle(SomeMessage message) { aRepository.Add(new A(message.Property); bRepository.Add(new B(message.Property); } } public class MessageEndPoint : IConfigureThisEndpoint, AsA_Server, IWantCustomInitialization { public void Init() { ObjectFactory.Configure(config => { config.For<ISession>() .CacheBy(InstanceScope.ThreadLocal) .TheDefault.Is.ConstructedBy(ctx => ctx.GetInstance<ISessionFactory>().OpenSession()); config.ForRequestedType(typeof(IRepository<>)) .TheDefaultIsConcreteType(typeof(Repository<>)); } } My problem with the threadlocal storage is, is that the same session is used during the whole application thread. I discovered this when I saw the first level cache wasn't cleared. What I want is using a new session instance, before each call to IHandleMessages<.Handle. How can I do this with structuremap? Do I have to create a message module?

  • Matching Regular Expression in Javascript and PHP problem...

    - by Frankie
I can't figure out how to get the same result from my Javscript as I do from my PHP. In particular, Javascript always leaves out the backslashes. Please ignore the random forward and backslashes; I put them there so that I can cover my basis on a windows system or any other system. Output: Input String: "/root\wp-cont ent\@*%'i@$@%$&^(@#@''mage6.jpg:" /root\wp-content\image6.jpg (PHP Output) /rootwp-contentimage6.jpg (Javscript Output) I would appreciate any help! PHP: <?php $path ="/root\wp-cont ent\@*%'i@$@%$&^(@#@''mage6.jpg:"; $path = preg_replace("/[^a-zA-Z0-9\\\\\/\.-]/", "", $path); echo $path; ?> Javascript: <script type="text/javascript"> var path = "/root\wp-cont ent\@*%'i@$@%$&^(@#@''mage6.jpg:"; //exact same string as PHP var regx = /[^a-zA-Z0-9\.\/-]/g; path = path.replace(regx,""); document.write("<br>"+path); </script>

  • Convert this Linq query from query syntax to lambda expression

    - by Jinkinz
I'm not sure I like linq query syntax...its just not my preference. But I don't know what this query would look like using lambda expressions, can someone help? from securityRoles in user.SecurityRoles from permissions in securityRoles.Permissions where permissions.SecurableEntity.Name == "Unit" && permissions.PermissionType.Name == "Read" orderby permissions.PermissionLevel.Value descending select permissions There is a many-to-many relationship between users and security roles that makes this extra confusing. Thanks! Kelly
