Hopefully it doesn't detract from the useful message. stringARRAY is where I think I'm getting thrown at, but I'm not sure, so if I'm looking at the wrong place, lemme know.   Hi guys, I'm feeling completely stupid because I've spent two hours solving task which should be very simple and which I solved many times before. But now I'm not even sure in which direction to dig. I fail to fetch static content using ajax from local servers (Apache and Mongrel). I get responses 200 and 206 (depending on the server), empty response text (although Content-Length header is always correct), firebug shows request in red. Javascript is very generic, I'm getting same results even here: http://www.w3schools.com/ajax/tryit.asp?filename=tryajax_first (just change document location to 'http://localhost:3000/whatever') So, it's probably not the cause. • During Spring unit test, data written to db but test not seeing the data

  I wrote a test case that extends AbstractTransactionalJUnit4SpringContextTests. The single test case I've written creates an instance of class User and attempts to write it to the database using Hibernate. The test code then uses SimpleJdbcTemplate to execute a simple select count(*) from the user table to determine if the user was persisted to the database or not. The test always fails though. I was suspect because in the Spring controller I wrote, the ability to save an instance of User to the db is successful. So I added the Rollback annotation to the unit test and sure enough, the data is written to the database since I can even see it in the appropriate table -- the transaction isn't rolled back when the test case is finished.   Is it possible to make xsl:analyze-string return one string instead of a sequence of strings? Background: I'd like to use xsl:analyze-string in a xsl:function that should encapsulate the pattern matching. Ideally, the function should return an xs:string to be used as sort criteria in an xsl:sort element. At the moment, i have to apply string-join() on every result of the function call since xsl:analyze-string returns a sequence of strings, and xsl:sort doesn't accept such a sequence as sort criteria. • Actionscript base class in Flex AIR app

  I'm trying to build a Flex AIR app using Flex Builder 3, which I'm just getting started with. In Flash CS4, there's a text field in the authoring environment where you can specify a class that will become the "base" class - your class inherits from Sprite and then "becomes" the Stage at runtime. Is there a a way to do the same thing with Flex/AIR? Failing that, can anyone explain how to create and use an external class? Originally I had this in TestApp.mxml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <mx:WindowedApplication xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute"> <mx:Script source="TestApp.as"/> </mx:WindowedApplication> And this in TestApp.as: package { public class TestApp { public function TestApp() { trace('Hello World'); } } } That gives the error "packages cannot be nested", so I tried taking out the package statement: public class TestApp { public function TestApp() { trace('Hello World'); } } That gives an error "classes cannot be nested", so I finally gave up and tried to take out the class altogether, figuring I'd try to start with a bunch of functions instead: function init() { trace('Hello World'); } But that gives the error "A file found in a source-path must have an externally visible definition. If a definition in the file is meant to be externally visible, please put the definition in a package". I can't win! When I put my class in a package, it says I can't do that because it would be nested. When I don't, it says it needs to be in a package so it can be seen. Does anyone know how to fix this?
