  • UIButton: Need a circle hit area

    - by Pavan
Ok I have 6 custom UIButtons. Their normal state image are all circles images. They are all spaced out equally but all the circles touch each other. The problem with the custom UIbutton (which has a circle image on it), is that the hit area of that button is square, and the corners of this square overlaps the hitarea of the other custom button's hitarea. How do i make the hit area of a UIbutton whos normal state has a circle image, be only clickable on that circle only, rather than the normal square hit area?! I hope that someone can find a way for me to solve this problem that i currently am having! Thanks in advance Pavan

  • Static Member Variables of the Same Class in C++

    - by helixed
    I'm trying to create a class which contains a static pointer to an instance of itself. Here's an example: A.h: #include <iostream> #ifndef _A_H #define _A_H class A { static A * a; }; A * a = NULL; #endif However, when I include A.h in another file, such as: #include "A.h" class B { }; I get the following error: ld: duplicate symbol _a in /Users/helixed/Desktop/Example/build/Example.build/Debug/Example.build/Objects-normal/x86_64/B.o and /Users/helixed/Desktop/Example/build/Example.build/Debug/Examplebuild/Objects-normal/x86_64/A.o I'm using the Xcode default compiler on Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Thanks, helixed

  • [JavaScript] Global variables across multiple files

    - by Goro
Hello, A bunch of my JavaScript code is in an external file called helpers.js. Inside the HTML that calls this JavaScript code I find myself in need of knowing if a certain function from helpers.js has been called. I have attempted to create a global variable by defining: var myFunctionTag = true; In global scope both in my HTML code and in helpers.js. Heres what my html code looks like: <html> ... <script type='text/javascript' src='js/helpers.js'></script> ... <script> var myFunctionTag = false; ... //I try to use myFunctionTag here but it is always false, even though it has been se t to 'true' in helpers.js </script> Is what I am trying to do even doable? Thanks,

  • Including variables inside curly braces in a Zend config ini file on Linux

    - by Dave Morris
I am trying to include a variable in a .ini file setting by surrounding it with curly braces, and Zend is complaining that it cannot parse it properly on Linux. It works properly on Windows, though: welcome_message = Welcome, {0}. This is the error that is being thrown on Linux: : Uncaught exception 'Zend_Config_Exception' with message 'Error parsing /var/www/html/portal/application/configs/language/messages.ini on line 10 ' in /usr/local/zend/share/ZendFramework/library/Zend/Config/Ini.php:181 Stack trace: 0 /usr/local/zend/share/ZendFramework/library/Zend/Config/Ini.php(201): Zend_Config_Ini-&gt;_parseIniFile('/var/www/html/p...') 1 /usr/local/zend/share/ZendFramework/library/Zend/Config/Ini.php(125): Zend_Config_Ini-&gt;_loadIniFile('/var/www/html/p...') 2 /var/www/html/portal/library/Ingrain/Language/Base.php(49): Zend_Config_Ini-&gt;__construct('/var/www/html/p...', NULL) 3 /var/www/html/portal/library/Ingrain/Language/Base.php(23): Ingrain_Language_Base-&gt;setConfig('messages.ini', NULL, NULL) 4 /var/www/html/portal/library/Ingrain/Language/Messages.php(7): Ingrain_Language_Base-&gt;__construct('messages.ini', NULL, NULL, NULL) 5 /var/www/html/portal/library/Ingrain/Helper/Language.php(38): Ingrain_Language_Messages-&gt;__construct() 6 /usr/local/zend/share/ZendFramework/library/Zend/Contr in We are able to get the error to go away on Linux if we surround the braces with quotes, but that seems like a strange solution: welcome_message = Welcome, "{"0"}". Is there a better way to solve this issue for all platforms? Thanks for your help, Dave

  • Url User Friendly, hide original address with variables

    - by user1075086
this is my simple htaccess that redirect all calls to index.php or to error.php It work fine but I would hide the original address from the address bar. #Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/index.php RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (/|\.php|\.html|\.htm|\.feed|\.pdf|\.raw|/[^.]*)$ [NC] RewriteRule (.*) index.php [L] ErrorDocument 404 /error.php Now if I go on www.mysite.com/news/last I can view www.mysite.com/index.php?p=news&section=last but I wish it did not change in the address bar. • Delphi Path Variables

    - by user337340
Hey Everyone, I've got what I'm hoping is a simple question. In the Delphi IDE, the path to the Delphi installation is specified as $(DELPHI). I am wondering if there is a way to create my own path indicators, such as $(MY_LIBRARY) or something similar. I thought $(DELPHI) was specified as an environment variable, but apparently not. Any ideas? Thanks all! ~DJ DJ Quimby

  • Custom MembershipProvider attempts to pass empty creds after IIS restart

    - by Joseph DeCarlo
I have a C# custom ASP.Net MembershipProvider. When the user attempts to navigate to another part of the site after IIS is restarted, it doesn't navigate to the login page to collect credentials, but instead attempts to authenticate with empty credentials. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to identify that the new authentication needs to take place and that new creds need to be gathered? I have a complementary custom IHttpModule implementation that allows me to intercept events like BeginRequest and AuthenticateRequest, if that helps.

  • Objective-C assigning variables question for iphone.

    - by coder net
The following piece of code can be written in two ways. I would like to know what are the pros and cons of each. If possible I would like to stick with the one liner. 1) UIColor *background = [[UIColor alloc] initWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"Background.png"]]; self.view.backgroundColor = background; [background release]; 2) self.view.backgroundColor = [[UIColor alloc] initWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"Background.png"]]; Any issues with releasing memory etc. with #2? I'm new to Objective-C and would like to follow the best approach.

  • Setting a custom XOM EntityResolver

    - by Stefan Kendall
I need to not validate against a doctype, so I'd like to set a custom EntityResolver that accepts everything. I'm getting data back from tagsoup, so I know my data is well-formed and correct. Furthermore, I need to rapidly hit a number of documents, so when I do this with the default EntityResolver, I get 503 from w3.org. How, then, can I use a XOM builder with a custom entity resolver?

  • Inherited variables are not reading correctly when using bitwise comparisons

    - by Shawn B
Hey, I have a few classes set up for a game, with XMapObject as the base, and XEntity, XEnviron, and XItem inheriting it. MapObjects have a number of flags, one of them being MAPOBJECT_SOLID. My problem is that XEntity is the only class that correctly detects MAPOBJECT_SOLID. Both Items are Environs are always considered solid by the game, regardless of the flag's state. What is important is that Environs and Item should almost never be solid. Here are the relevent code samples: XMapObject: class XMapObject : public XObject { public: Uint8 MapObjectType,Location[2],MapObjectFlags; XMapObject *NextMapObject,*PrevMapObject; XMapObject(); void CreateMapObject(Uint8 MapObjectType); void SpawnMapObject(Uint8 MapObjectLocation[2]); void RemoveMapObject(); void DeleteMapObject(); void MapObjectSetLocation(Uint8 Y,Uint8 X); void MapObjectMapLink(); void MapObjectMapUnlink(); }; XEntity: class XEntity : public XMapObject { public: Uint8 Health,EntityFlags; float Speed,Time; XEntity *NextEntity,*PrevEntity; XItem *IventoryList; XEntity(); void CreateEntity(Uint8 EntityType,Uint8 EntityLocation[2]); void DeleteEntity(); void EntityLink(); void EntityUnlink(); Uint8 MoveEntity(Uint8 YOffset,Uint8 XOffset); }; XEnviron: class XEnviron : public XMapObject { public: Uint8 Effect,TimeOut; void CreateEnviron(Uint8 Type,Uint8 Y,Uint8 X,Uint8 TimeOut); }; XItem: class XItem : public XMapObject { public: void CreateItem(Uint8 Type,Uint8 Y,Uint8 X); }; And lastly, the entity move code. Only entities are capable of moving themselves. Uint8 XEntity::MoveEntity(Uint8 YOffset,Uint8 XOffset) { Uint8 NewY = Location[0] + YOffset, NewX = Location[1] + XOffset; if((NewY >= 0 && NewY < MAPY) && (NewX >= 0 && NewX < MAPX)) { XTile *Tile = GetTile(NewY,NewX); if(Tile->MapList != NULL) { XMapObject *MapObject = Tile->MapList; while(MapObject != NULL) { if(MapObject->MapObjectFlags & MAPOBJECT_SOLID) { printf("solid\n"); return 0; } MapObject = MapObject->NextMapObject; } } if(Tile->Flags & TILE_SOLID && EntityFlags & ENTITY_CLIPPING) { return 0; } this->MapObjectSetLocation(NewY,NewX); return 1; } return 0; } What is wierd, is that the bitwise operator always returns true when the MapObject is an Environ or an Item, but it works correctly for Entities. For debug I am using the printf "Solid", and also a printf containing the value of the flag for both Environs and Items. Any help is greatly appreciated, as this is a major bug for the small game I am working on.

  • Implement custom JTA XAResource for using with hibernate

    - by jstingo
I have two level access to database: the first with Hibernate, the second with JDBC. The JDBC level work with nontransactional tables (I use MyISAM for speed). I want make both levels works within transaction. I read about JTA which can manage distributed transactions. But there is lack information in the internet about how to implement and use custom resource. Does any one have experience with using custom XAResources?

  • In python, changing MySQL query based on function variables

    - by ensnare
I'd like to be able to add a restriction to the query if user_id != None ... for example: "AND user_id = 5" but I am not sure how to add this into the below function? Thank you. def get(id, user_id=None): query = """SELECT * FROM USERS WHERE text LIKE %s AND id = %s """ values = (search_text, id) results = DB.get(query, values) This way I can call: get(5) get(5,103524234) (contains user_id restriction)

  • Paypal subscription API - transaction variables not POSTed

    - by morpheous
I am writing a payments system based around paypal, I am using the HTML 'API'. I am passing the following form fields to PayPal: 'rm' = 2 'return = http://www.example.com/payment-handler.php?token=sometoken Where 'token' is a token I generated. According to the paypal documentation, a return method (rm) of 2 indicates to Paypal that the transaction data be posted back to the callback url using the POST method. When processing items using 'buy_now' buttons, the transaction items are correctly POSTed to my callback url (payment-handler.php), but for 'subscribe' operations, although the callback url is called, no POST data is sent to the url, and also, the 'token' field is missing. Instead, there is a parameter called 'auth'. I cant see anything in the paypal docs about a 'auth' field - so I dont know whats generating it and if I can reliably using it. Can anyone shed some light on this?

  • Passing two variables to separate table...associations problem

    - by bgadoci
I have developed an application and I seem to be having some problems with my associations. I have the following: class User < ActiveRecord::Base acts_as_authentic has_many :questions, :dependent => :destroy has_many :sites , :dependent => :destroy end Questions class Question < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :sites, :dependent => :destroy has_many :notes, :through => :sites belongs_to :user end Sites (think of this as answers to questions) class Site < ActiveRecord::Base acts_as_voteable :vote_counter => true belongs_to :question belongs_to :user has_many :notes, :dependent => :destroy has_many :likes, :dependent => :destroy has_attached_file :photo, :styles => { :small => "250x250>" } validates_presence_of :name, :description end When a Site (answer) is created I am successfully passing the question_id to the Sites table but I can't figure out how to also pass the user_id. Here is my SitesController#create def create @question = Question.find(params[:question_id]) @site = @question.sites.create!(params[:site]) respond_to do |format| format.html { redirect_to(@question) } format.js end end

  • Sharing variables between mxml components

    - by Kamo
I have several mxml components in an app, all of which need the same variable called genericX. I've included that variable in the main mxml and made it public [Bindable] public var genericX:Number = 102; but I still can't access it from other mxml components. If I try to do this for example, it doesn't recognize the variable. <s:Button x="{genericX}" label="Click" />

  • Creating an URL without global variables

    - by dygi
    I have a code like this below, which gives me a $link that equals to: http://mydomain.com/image/photo.JPG if (!empty($_SESSION['item'][$i])) { $path = dirname(__FILE__).'/image/'.basename($_SESSION['item'][$i]); if (move_uploaded_file($_SESSION['item'][$i], $path)) global $url; if ( $url ) { $link = $url.'/image/'.basename($_SESSION['item'][$i]); echo "<td><img src='" . $link . "' width='50' height='50' /></td>"; } } I wonder, how should I properly ommit using global variable here to achieve the same result.

  • How to communicate between ASP.net custom controls

I'm using two custom controls. One gathers the criteria for a search, and the other displays a list. These two controls need to remain seperate for the time being. What is the best method of transfering data from the search control, to the list control? I'm thinking of ViewState, Session or wrapping both within a UpdatePanel and using custom events??
