  • jQuery-ui tabs: interference between tabs

    I use the jQuery-ui tabs widget as a navigation. Contents of all tabs are load via ajax. Seems that there is interference between tabs. I mean, for example, if in page1 in tab1, there is an element whose ID is foo, and in page2 in tab2, there is an element with the same ID. And in both page, there is javascript code to manipulate the element with ID foo, then weird things will happen. How to deal with this situation?

    Do you ever escape single quotes in template toolkit for necessary javascript handlers? If so, how do you do it. [% SET s = "A'B'C" %] <a href="/abc.html" onclick="popup('[% s | html_entity %]')">ABC</a> html_entity obviously doesn't work because it only handles the double quote. So how do you do it?

I also tried the following XStream xsStream=new XStream(new JsonHierarchicalStreamDriver()); SampleClass sampleClass=new SampleClass(userset.getId(),userset.getUsername()); myString=xsStream.toXML(sampleClass); It works but when i use getJSON in javascript to get myString it does not work.

    Hello It seems the most common aproach to web design is to use HTML/XHTML & CSS in conjunction with other technologies or languages like Javascript or PHP. On a theoretical level, I'm interested to know what other languages or technologies could be used to build an entire site without using a single HTML tag or CSS style for styling/positioning? Could a website be made only using XML or PHP alone, including actual styling and positioning? Presumably Flash sites are till embedded in HTML tags? Thanks

    I am trying to make my own website and it was coming along quite nicely. It looked beautiful in Firefox when opened and worked wonderfully. But then I run it in any other browser and it does not work. How can I fix this? The GWT docs handle key events in input fields only. But I don't have an input field! Is this possible at all? Maybe it is a DOM/Javascript restriction that GWT cannot work around...
