• WinForms Taskbar Icon - Click Event not firing

  I have created a non-form c# program that uses the NotifyIcon class. The text "(Click to Activate)" shows up when I hover the mouse. So I am getting some events handled. • How to dispose NHibernate ISession in an ASP.NET MVC App

  I have NHibernate hooked up in my asp.net mvc app. Everything works fine, if I DON'T dispose the ISession. I have read however that you should dispose, but when I do, I get random "Session is closed" exceptions. I am injecting the ISession into my other objects with Windsor. • Getting "Object is read only" error when setting ClientCredentials in WCF

  I have a proxy object generated by Visual Studio (client side) named ServerClient. I am attempting to set ClientCredentials.UserName.UserName/Password before opening up a new connection using this code: InstanceContext context = new InstanceContext(this); m_client = new ServerClient(context); m_client.ClientCredentials.UserName.UserName = "Sample"; As soon as the code hits the UserName line it fails with an "Object is read-only" error. I know this can happen if the connection is already open or faulted, but at this point I haven't called context.Open() yet. I have configured the Bindings (which uses netTcpBinding) to use Message as it's security mode, and MessageClientCredentialType is set to UserName. Any ideas?

  I'm trying to draw an UIImageView, but the frame's origin is wrong when I flip the coordinate system for drawing not upside-down. CGRect imgRect = imgView.frame; imgRect.origin.y += 10.0f; CGContextTranslateCTM(context, 0.0f, imgRect.size.height); CGContextScaleCTM(context, 1.0f, -1.0f); CGContextDrawImage(context, imgRect, imgView.image.CGImage); like you can see I move the image down by 10, but instead of going down by 10, it goes UP by 10. That's completely unlogical since I had actually inverted the wrong coordinate system to look exactly like the one in UIView, right? What to do about it?

  I am setting a Session variable in an HttpHandler, and then getting its value in the Page_load event of an ASPX page. I'm setting it using public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) { HttpPostedFile file = context.Request.Files["Filedata"]; context.Session["WorkingImage"] = file.FileName; } (And before someone suggests that I check the validity of file.FileName, this same problem occurs if I hard-code a test string in there.) It's working just fine in IE, but in Firefox the Session Variable is not found, getting the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error in the following code: protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { string loc = Session["WorkingImage"].ToString(); } Has anyone encountered this problem - and hopefully come up with a means for passing the session variable?

  My app starts by presenting a tableview whose datasource is a Core Data SQLite store. When the app starts, a secondary thread with its own store controller and context is created to obtain updates from the web for data in the store. However, any resulting changes to the store are not notified to the fetchedresults controller (I presume because it has its own coordinator) and consequently the table is not updated with store changes. What would be the most efficient way to refresh the context on the main thread? I am considering tracking the objectIDs of any objects changed on the secondary thread, sending those to the main thread when the secondary thread completes and invoking "[context refreshObject:....] Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I have a Web Service developed with JAX-WS. I have secured the web service with BASIC authentication configured in Tomcat. How can I get around this problem?

• How do you: Symfony functional test on a secure app?

  Im trying to perform some function tests in symfony 1.4. My application is secure so the tests return 401 response codes not 200 as expected. I've tried creating a context and authentication the user prior to performing the test but to no avail. Any suggestions? Do I need to pass sfContext to the sfTestFunctional? • problem in loading images from web

  hi, I am new in android and had developed an app which get images from the website and display it. I got it working in emulator but not in real phones. In some device, it will crash or take very long loading period. Can anyone please help me or guide me in improving it as i'm not sure whether the way i loads the images is correct or not. • Grails 1.2.1 with Spring 3.0.0 dependency problem under Jetty

  Just moved to Grails 1.2.1 (used 1.1.1 before). Changed application.properties, ran grails upgrade, fixed BuildConfig and Bootstrap - everything works just fine from grails console. However, getting a problem when deploy packaged war under jetty 6.1.22: 1581 [main] ERROR org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoader - Context initialization failed org.springframework.beans.factory.access.BootstrapException: Error executing bootstraps; nested exception is java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.codehaus.groovy.grails.commons.spring.ReloadAwareAutowireCapableBeanFactory.setParameterNameDiscoverer(Lorg/springframework/core/ParameterNameDiscoverer;)V My project is built with maven2. I researched the war dependencies and see that both spring 2.5.6 and 3.0.0.RELEASE are used there.   I'm creating a notification with something similar to the following: Intent ni = new Intent(this, SomeActivity.class); ni.putExtra("somestring", "somedata"); PendingIntent contentIntent = PendingIntent.getActivity(this, 0, ni, PendingIntent.FLAG_UPDATE_CURRENT|PendingIntent.FLAG_ONE_SHOT); Context context = getApplicationContext(); notification.setLatestEventInfo(context, res.getString(R.string.app_name), text, contentIntent); The key here is the extra data on the Intent for the notification. Once I click on the notification and it brings up SomeActivity, it brings up the activity and the extra data is available. However, if I exit the app, hold the home button until the recent activities list comes up, and choose to open the app again, the extra data is still passed. Is there a way I can make this data get passed only if the app is opened via the Notification, and not from the recent activities list?

• Android: Registering ContextMenu for a Custom ListAdapter

  Hi, I made a custom list adapter extending the Base adapter. Each item in the list has an imagebutton, 2 textviews and a button. I tried to add the context menu to the list so as to display some options for an item in the list. registerForContextMenu(getListView()); I used a MenuInflater object to inflate the context menu xml file. But on clicking the items in the list nothing shows up or the usual highlighting of the item of list on click isn't shown. Is it that the context menu doesn't work for custom list views? Also i thought that maybe it's because the default fonts somehow do not support utf-8 so according to pisa documentation i tried to set fontface in template body in style section. that still gave no results. Does any one have some ideas how to solve this issue?

  I have an extension that can be placed on any toolbar (like the bookmarks, menu or status bars). In general, the context menu opens downward, but when placed on the status bar and Firefox is closed to the bottom of the screen, the context menu opens upward. I'd like to try reordering the context menu based on its up or down orientation, so that the same options are always closest to the mouse. For example, when opened downward it appears like this: -- (mouse) --------------- - MenuItem A - --------------- - MenuItem B - --------------- - MenuItem C - --------------- - ....... - --------------- When it opens upwards its like this: --------------- - MenuItem A - --------------- - MenuItem B - --------------- - MenuItem C - --------------- - ....... - --------------- -- (mouse) However, I'd like "MenuItem A" to appear closest to the mouse at all times, since its the most common item. I can render the items dynamically, so I really just need to find out the orientation.

• How do I pan the contents of a div when the right mouse button is dragged?

  I need a cross browser way of capturing the right mouse click, preventing the default context menu and making it where when the user drags the mouse they can pan the contents of a div. This is largely similar to Google maps in that they will grip the contents and drag to see what they want. No external libraries please. I am already capturing the events, and know that this will prevent default actions: if (evt.preventDefault) { evt.preventDefault(); } else { evt.returnValue = false; } But this doesn't prevent the context menu AFAIK. Edit: I really am unsure about how to prevent the context menu and what the best way to manipulate the scroll bars would be? examples would be great
