  • Delphi: How to respond to WM_SettingChange/WM_WinIniChange?

    - by Ian Boyd
    i need to know when my application recieves a WM_SETTINGCHANGE message (formerly known as WM_WININICHANGE). Problem is that the message pump in TApplication sends it down a black hole (default handler) before i can get a chance to see it: procedure TApplication.WndProc(var Message: TMessage); ... begin Message.Result := 0; for I := 0 to FWindowHooks.Count - 1 do if TWindowHook(FWindowHooks[I]^)(Message) then Exit; CheckIniChange(Message); with Message do case Msg of WM_SETTINGCHANGE: begin Mouse.SettingChanged(wParam); Default; <----------------------*poof* down the sink hole end; ... end; ... end; The procedure CheckIniChange() doesn't throw any event i can handle, neither does Mouse.SettingChanged(). And once the code path reaches Default, it is sent down the DefWindowProc drain hole, never to be seen again (since the first thing the WndProc does is set the Message.Result to zero. i was hoping to assign a handler to a TApplicationEvents.OnMessage event: procedure TdmGlobal.ApplicationEvents1Message(var Msg: tagMSG; var Handled: Boolean); begin case Msg.message of WM_SETTINGCHANGE: begin // Code end; end; end; But the OnMessage event is only thrown for messages that come through the message pump. Since the WM_SETTINGCHANGE message is "handled", it never sees the PeekMessage TranslateMessage DispatchMessage system. How can i respond to the windows broadcast WM_SETTINGCHANGE?

  • rfacebook and facebook image uploading api

    - by msarvar
    I'm using rfacebook gem to interact with facebook connect. And I'm having a problem with uploading images. As facebook api says, the data should be transferred in a hash like json object. So I'm making an hash publish_values = { :uid => @post.profile.channel_uid, :message => @post.content, :auto_publish => true, } unless @post.message.skip_link_info publish_values[:attachment] = {} publish_values[:attachment][:name] = @post.message.link_title unless @post.message.link_title.blank? publish_values[:attachment][:caption] = @post.message.link_title unless @post.message.link_title.blank? publish_values[:attachment][:description] = @post.message.link_description unless @post.message.link_description.blank? unless @post.message.no_thumbnail || @post.message.link_image_url.blank? publish_values[:attachment][:media] = [{ :type => 'image', :src => @post.message.link_image_url, :href => @post.short_uri }] end end But It's not uploading any image to the facebook, the xml respons says "properties must be a dictionary". So I'm stuck in here for a couple days It doesn't make any sene

  • Blackberry how to display message in app if device got no internet connection?

    - by Johannes
    Hello I've just started with programming for the Blackberry device. I'm using version 5 of the API. I'm building a very simple application which is just a browserfield. So far it's all working great. I can display my browserfield with the content I need. The problem I'm having now is if the device doesn't have an active internet connection I get the ugly "Error requesting content for" message. I would need to someone display my own message if the device doesn't have an active connection. Something like "You need to have an active internet connection to use this application" with an Exit button which closes the app. I've tried to find this for hours but no luck. Hopefully it's something relatively easy so I can get help here. Here's my code so far: package com.mycompany.webview; import net.rim.device.api.browser.field2.*; import net.rim.device.api.ui.*; import net.rim.device.api.ui.container.*; public class webview extends UiApplication { public static void main(String[] args) { webview app = new webview(); app.enterEventDispatcher(); } public webview() { pushScreen(new webviewScreen()); } } class webviewScreen extends MainScreen { public webviewScreen() { BrowserField myBrowserField = new BrowserField(); add(myBrowserField); myBrowserField.requestContent("http://www.google.com"); } } Would really appreciate some help please. Thanks

  • SmtpClient.SendAsync - How to ensure my application doesn't finish before callback?

    - by James
    Hi, I need to send emails asychronously through a console application. I need to do some DB updates on the callback but my application is exiting before the callback code gets run! How can I stop this from happening in a nice manner rather than simply guessing how long to wait before exiting. I would imagine the Async calls get placed in some form of thread? Is it possible to check if any are waiting to be called? Sample Code private static void SendCompletedCallback(object sender, AsyncCompletedEventArgs e) { // Get the unique identifier for this asynchronous operation. String token = (string) e.UserState; if (e.Cancelled) { Console.WriteLine("[{0}] Send canceled.", token); } if (e.Error != null) { Console.WriteLine("[{0}] {1}", token, e.Error.ToString()); } else { // update DB Console.WriteLine("Message sent."); } } public static void Main(string[] args) { var users = Repository.GetUsers(); SmtpClient client = new SmtpClient("Host"); client.SendCompleted += new SendCompletedEventHandler(SendCompletedCallback); MailAddress from = new MailAddress("[email protected]", "System", Encoding.UTF8); foreach (var user in users) { MailAddress to = new MailAddress(user.Email); MailMessage message = new MailMessage(from, to); message.Body = "This is a test"; message.BodyEncoding = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8; message.Subject = "test message 1" + someArrows; message.SubjectEncoding = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8; string userState = String.Format("Message for user id {0}", user.ID); client.SendAsync(message, userState); message.Dispose(); } // need to wait here until I have received a callback for each message // otherwise the application will exit }

  • .post inside jQuery.validator.addMethod always returns false :(

    - by abdullah kahraman
    Hello! I am very new to jQuery and javascript programming. I have a program below that checks whether username is taken or not. For now, the PHP script always returns if(isset($_POST["username"]) )//&& isset($_POST["checking"])) { $xml="<register><message>Available</message></register>"; echo $xml; } Login function works, but username checking doesn't. Any ideas? Here is all of my code: $(document).ready(function() { jQuery.validator.addMethod("checkAvailability",function(value,element){ $.post( "login.php" , {username:"test", checking:"yes"}, function(xml){ if($("message", xml).text() == "Available") return true; else return false; }); },"Sorry, this user name is not available"); $("#loginForm").validate({ rules: { username: { required: true, minlength: 4, checkAvailability: true }, password:{ required: true, minlength: 5 } }, messages: { username:{ required: "You need to enter a username." , minlength: jQuery.format("Your username should be at least {0} characters long.") } }, highlight: function(element, errorClass) { $(element).fadeOut("fast",function() { $(element).fadeIn("slow"); }) }, success: function(x){ x.text("OK!") }, submitHandler: function(form){send()} }); function send(){ $("#message").hide("fast"); $.post( "login.php" , {username:$("#username").val(), password:$("#password").val()}, function(xml){ $("#message").html( $("message", xml).text() ); if($("message", xml).text() == "You are successfully logged in.") { $("#message").css({ "color": "green" }); $("#message").fadeIn("slow", function(){location.reload(true);}); } else { $("#message").css({ "color": "red" }); $("#message").fadeIn("slow"); } }); } $("#newUser").click(function(){ return false; }); });

  • How do you deal with denormalization / secondary indexes in database sharding?

    - by Continuation
    Say I have a "message" table with 2 secondary indexes: "recipient_id" "sender_id" I want to shard the "message" table by "recipient_id". That way to retrieve all messages sent to a certain recipient I only need to query one shard. But at the same time, I want to be able to make a query that ask for all messages sent by a certain sender. Now I don't want to send that query to every single shard of the "message" table. One way to do this is to duplicate the data and have a "message_by_sender" table sharded by "sender_id". The problem with that approach is that every time a message has been sent, I need to insert the message into both "message" and "message_by_sender" tables. But what if after inserting into "message" the insertion into "message_by_sender" fail? In that case the message exists in "message" but not in "message_by_sender". How do I make sure that if a message exists in "message" then it also exists in "message_by_sender" without resorting to 2 phase commit? This must be a very common issue for anyone who shards their databases. How do you deal woth it?

  • How to accurately parse smtp message status code (DSN)?

    - by Geo
    RFC1893 claims that status codes will come in the format below you can read more here. But our bounce management system is having a hard time parsing error status code from bounce messages. We are able to get the raw message, but depending on the email server the code will come in different places. Is there any rule on how to parse this type of messages to obtain better results. We are not looking for the 100% solution but at least 80%. This document defines a new set of status codes to report mail system conditions. These status codes are intended to be used for media and language independent status reporting. They are not intended for system specific diagnostics. The syntax of the new status codes is defined as: status-code = class "." subject "." detail class = "2"/"4"/"5" subject = 1*3digit detail = 1*3digit White-space characters and comments are NOT allowed within a status- code. Each numeric sub-code within the status-code MUST be expressed without leading zero digits. The quote above from the RFC tells one thing but then the text below from a leading tool on bounce management says something different, where I can get a good source of standard status codes: Return Code Description 0 UNDETERMINED - (ie. Recipient Reply) 10 HARD BOUNCE - (ie. User Unknown) 20 SOFT BOUNCE - General 21 SOFT BOUNCE - Dns Failure 22 SOFT BOUNCE - Mailbox Full 23 SOFT BOUNCE - Message Too Large 30 BOUNCE - NO EMAIL ADDRESS. VERY RARE! 40 GENERAL BOUNCE 50 MAIL BLOCK - General 51 MAIL BLOCK - Known Spammer 52 MAIL BLOCK - Spam Detected 53 MAIL BLOCK - Attachment Detected 54 MAIL BLOCK - Relay Denied 60 AUTO REPLY - (ie. Out Of Office) 70 TRANSIENT BOUNCE 80 SUBSCRIBE Request 90 UNSUBSCRIBE/REMOVE Request 100 CHALLENGE-RESPONSE

  • getting incorrect error even if the condition is fulfilled

    - by Tapan Desai
    I am trying to show the message based on the text shown on webpage after a particular action. If the webpage contains text MESSAGE HAS BEEN SUBMITTED SUCCESSFULLY, I want to print Message sent successfully on the screen otherwise MESSAGE SENDING FAILED. Everything is working fine but for one thing. PrintWriter printWriter = new PrintWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(sendConnection.getOutputStream()), true); printWriter.print(sendContent); printWriter.flush(); printWriter.close(); //Reading the returned web page to analyse whether the operation was sucessfull BufferedReader bufferedReader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(sendConnection.getInputStream())); StringBuilder SendResult = new StringBuilder(); String line; while ((line = bufferedReader.readLine()) != null) { SendResult.append(line); } if (SendResult.toString().contains("MESSAGE HAS BEEN SUBMITTED SUCCESSFULLY")) { System.out.println("Message sent to " + phoneNumber + " successfully."); } else { System.err.println("Message could not send to " + phoneNumber + ". Also check login credentials"); } bufferedReader.close(); The problem is that even if the webpage contains the text MESSAGE HAS BEEN SUBMITTED SUCCESSFULLY, the condition always goes into ELSE part and show MESSAGE SENDING FAILED but thats not true because the message has been sent and i see the MESSAGE HAS BEEN SUBMITTED SUCCESSFULLY on the webpage. Can anyone tell me where am i going wrong?

  • How can I get the name of the namespace from a SOAP message?

    - by olly
    Hi I have a SOAP message (see below). Using Xpath, how can I extract the name of the namespace from this message? In other words, is there an Xpath routine that will return the text "validateNewOrder"? Any suggestions or help would be invaluable. I have been searching everywhere but not found an solution. • JavaFX Threading issue - GUI freezing while method call ran.

    - by David Meadows
    Hi everyone, I hoped someone might be able to help as I'm a little stumped. I have a javafx class which runs a user interface, which includes a button to read some text out loud. When you press it, it invokes a Java object which uses the FreeTTS java speech synth to read out loud a String, which all works fine. The problem is, when the speech is being read out, the program stops completely until its completed. I'm not an expert on threaded applications, but I understand that usually if I extend the Thread class, and provided my implementation of the speech synth code inside an overridden run method, when I call start on the class it "should" create a new Thread, and run this code there, allowing the main thread which has the JavaFX GUI on to continue as normal. Any idea why this isn't the case? Thanks a lot in advance!

  • Java multi-threading - what is the best way to monitor the activity of a number of threads?

    - by MalcomTucker
    I have a number of threads that are performing a long runing task. These threads themselves have child threads that do further subdivisions of work. What is the best way for me to track the following: How many total threads my process has created What the state of each thread currently is What part of my process each thread has currently got to I want to do it in as efficient a way as possible and once threads finish, I don't want any references to them hanging around becasuse I need to be freeing up memory as early as possible. Any advice?

  • How to get encoding from MAPI message with PR_BODY_A tag (windows mobile)?

    - by SadSido
    Hi, everyone! I am developing a program, that handles incoming e-mail and sms through windows-mobile MAPI. The code basically looks like that: ulBodyProp = PR_BODY_A; hr = piMessage->OpenProperty(ulBodyProp, NULL, STGM_READ, 0, (LPUNKNOWN*)&piStream); if (hr == S_OK) { // ... get body size in bytes ... STATSTG statstg; piStream->Stat(&statstg, 0); ULONG cbBody = statstg.cbSize.LowPart; // ... allocate memory for the buffer ... BYTE* pszBodyInBytes = NULL; boost::scoped_array<BYTE> szBodyInBytesPtr(pszBodyInBytes = new BYTE[cbBody+2]); // ... read body into the pszBodyInBytes ... } That works and I have a message body. The problem is that this body is multibyte encoded and I need to return a Unicode string. I guess, I have to use ::MultiByteToWideChar() function, but how can I guess, what codepage should I apply? Using CP_UTF8 is naive, because it can simply be not in UTF8. Using CP_ACP works, well, sometimes, but sometimes does not. So, my question is: how can I retrieve the information about message codepage. Does MAPI provide any functions for it? Or is there a way to decode multibyte string, other than MultiByteToWideChar()? Thanks!

  • Is Stream.Write thread-safe?

    - by Mike Spross
    I'm working on a client/server library for a legacy RPC implementation and was running into issues where the client would sometimes hang when waiting to a receive a response message to an RPC request message. It turns out the real problem was in my message framing code (I wasn't handling message boundaries correctly when reading data off the underlying NetworkStream), but it also made me suspicious of the code I was using to send data across the network, specifically in the case where the RPC server sends a large amount of data to a client as the result of a client RPC request. My send code uses a BinaryWriter to write a complete "message" to the underlying NetworkStream. The RPC protocol also implements a heartbeat algorithm, where the RPC server sends out PING messages every 15 seconds. The pings are sent out by a separate thread, so, at least in theory, a ping can be sent while the server is in the middle of streaming a large response back to a client. Suppose I have a Send method as follows, where stream is a NetworkStream: public void Send(Message message) { //Write the message to a temporary stream so we can send it all-at-once MemoryStream tempStream = new MemoryStream(); message.WriteToStream(tempStream); //Write the serialized message to the stream. //The BinaryWriter is a little redundant in this //simplified example, but here because //the production code uses it. byte[] data = tempStream.ToArray(); BinaryWriter bw = new BinaryWriter(stream); bw.Write(data, 0, data.Length); bw.Flush(); } So the question I have is, is the call to bw.Write (and by implication the call to the underlying Stream's Write method) atomic? That is, if a lengthy Write is still in progress on the sending thread, and the heartbeat thread kicks in and sends a PING message, will that thread block until the original Write call finishes, or do I have to add explicit synchronization to the Send method to prevent the two Send calls from clobbering the stream?

  • When downloading a file using FileStream, why does page error message refers to aspx page name, not

    - by StuperUser
    After building a filepath (path, below) in a string (I am aware of Path in System.IO, but am using someone else's code and do not have the opportunity to refactor it to use Path). I am using a FileStream to deliver the file to the user (see below): FileStream myStream = new FileStream(path, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read); long fileSize = myStream.Length; byte[] Buffer = new byte[(int)fileSize + 1]; myStream.Read(Buffer, 0, (int)myStream.Length); myStream.Close(); Response.ContentType = "application/csv"; Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", "attachment; filename=" + filename); Response.BinaryWrite(Buffer); Response.Flush(); Response.End(); I have seen from: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/736301/asp-net-how-to-stream-file-to-user reasons to avoid use of Response.End() and Response.Close(). I have also seen several articles about different ways to transmit files and have diagnosed and found a solution to the problem (https and http headers) with a colleague. However, the error message that was being displayed was not about access to the file at path, but the aspx file. Edit: Error message is: Internet Explorer cannot download MyPage.aspx from server.domain.tld Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later. (page name and address anonymised) Why is this? Is it due to the contents of the file coming from the HTTP response .Flush() method rather than a file being accessed at its address?

  • VB dataset issue

    - by Gabriel
    Hi. The idea was to create a message box that stores my user name, message, and post datetime into the database as messages are sent. Soon came to realise, what if the user changed his name? So I decided to use the user id (icn) to identify the message poster instead. However, my chunk of codes keep giving me the same error. Says that there are no rows in the dataset ds2. I've tried my Query on my SQL and it works perfectly so I really really need help to spot the error in my chunk of codes here. Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Dim name As String Dim icn As String Dim message As String Dim time As String Dim tags As String = "" Dim strConn As System.Configuration.ConnectionStringSettings strConn = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings("ufadb") Dim conn As SqlConnection = New SqlConnection(strConn.ToString()) Dim cmd As New SqlCommand("Select * From Message", conn) Dim daMessages As SqlDataAdapter = New SqlDataAdapter(cmd) Dim ds As New DataSet cmd.Connection.Open() daMessages.Fill(ds, "Messages") cmd.Connection.Close() If ds.Tables("Messages").Rows.Count > 0 Then Dim n As Integer = ds.Tables("Messages").Rows.Count Dim i As Integer For i = 0 To n - 1 icn = ds.Tables("Messages").Rows(i).Item("icn") Dim cmd2 As New SqlCommand("SELECT name FROM Member inner join Message ON Member.icn = Message.icn WHERE message.icn = @icn", conn) cmd2.Parameters.AddWithValue("@icn", icn) Dim daName As SqlDataAdapter = New SqlDataAdapter(cmd2) Dim ds2 As New DataSet cmd2.Connection.Open() daName.Fill(ds2, "PosterName") cmd2.Connection.Close() name = ds2.Tables("PosterName").Rows(0).Item("name") message = ds.Tables("Messages").Rows(i).Item("message") time = ds.Tables("Messages").Rows(i).Item("timePosted") tags = time + vbCrLf + name + ": " + vbCrLf + message + vbCrLf + tags Next txtBoard.Text = tags Else txtBoard.Text = "nothing to display" End If End Sub Help will be very much appreciated as I have been on this simple problem for 2 days.

  • How to save objects using Multi-Threading in Core Data?

    - by Konstantin
    I'm getting some data from the web service and saving it in the core data. This workflow looks like this: get xml feed go over every item in that feed, create a new ManagedObject for every feed item download some big binary data for every item and save it into ManagedObject call [managedObjectContext save:] Now, the problem is of course the performance - everything runs on the main thread. I'd like to re-factor as much as possible to another thread, but I'm not sure where I should start. Is it OK to put everything (1-4) to the separate thread?

  • What are some of the core principles needed to master Multi threading using Delphi?

    - by Gary Becks
    I am kind of new to programming in general (about 8 months with on and off in delphi and a little python here and there) and I am in the process of buying some books. I am interested in learning about concurrent programming and building multi threaded apps using Delphi. Whenever I do a search for "multithreading delphi" or "delphi multithreading tutorial" I seem to get conflicting results as some of the stuff is about using certain libraries (omnithread library) and other stuff seems to be more geared towards programmers with more experience. I have studied quite a few books on delphi and for the most part they seem to kind of skim the surface and not really go into depth on the subject. I have a friend who is a programmer (he uses c++) who recommends I learn what is actually going on with the underlying system when using threads as opposed to jumping into how to actually implement them in my programs first. On amazon.com there are quite a few books on concurrent programming but none of them seem to be made with Delphi in mind. Basically I need to know what are the main things I should be focused on learning before jumping into using threads, if I can/should attempt to learn them using books that are not specifically aimed at delphi developers (don't want to confuse myself reading books with a bunch of code examples in other languages right now) and if there are any reliable resources/books on the subject that anyone here could recommend. Thanks in advance.

  • .NET threading: how can I capture an abort on an unstarted thread?

    - by Groxx
    I have a chunk of threads I wish to run in order, on an ASP site running .NET 2.0 with Visual Studio 2008 (no idea how much all that matters, but there it is), and they may have aborted-clean-up code which should be run regardless of how far through their task they are. So I make a thread like this: Thread t = new Thread(delegate() { try { /* do things */ System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine("try"); } catch (ThreadAbortException) { /* cleanup */ System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine("catch"); } }); Now, if I wish to abort the set of threads part way through, the cleanup may still be desirable later on down the line. Looking through MSDN implies you can .Abort() a thread that has not started, and then .Start() it, at which point it will receive the exception and perform normally. Or you can .Join() the aborted thread to wait for it to finish aborting. Presumably you can combine them. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ty8d3wta(v=VS.80).aspx To wait until a thread has aborted, you can call the Join method on the thread after calling the Abort method, but there is no guarantee the wait will end. If Abort is called on a thread that has not been started, the thread will abort when Start is called. If Abort is called on a thread that is blocked or is sleeping, the thread is interrupted and then aborted. Now, when I debug and step through this code: t.Abort(); // ThreadState == Unstarted | AbortRequested t.Start(); // throws ThreadStartException: "Thread failed to start." // so I comment it out, and t.Join(); // throws ThreadStateException: "Thread has not been started." At no point do I see any output, nor do any breakpoints on either the try or catch block get reached. Oddly, ThreadStartException is not listed as a possible throw of .Start(), from here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/a9fyxz7d(v=VS.80).aspx (or any other version) I understand this could be avoided by having a start parameter, which states if the thread should jump to cleanup code, and foregoing the Abort call (which is probably what I'll do). And I could .Start() the thread, and then .Abort() it. But as an indeterminate amount of time may pass between .Start and .Abort, I'm considering it unreliable, and the documentation seems to say my original method should work. Am I missing something? Is the documentation wrong? edit: ow. And you can't call .Start(param) on a non-parameterized Thread(Start). Is there a way to find out if a thread is parameterized or not, aside from trial and error? I see a private m_Delegate, but nothing public...

  • Why doesn't Perl threading work when I call readdir beforehand?

    - by Kevin
    Whenever I call readdir before I create a thread, I get an error that looks like this: perl(2820,0x7fff70c33ca0) malloc: * error for object 0x10082e600: pointer being freed was not allocated * set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug Abort trap What's strange is that it happens when I call readdir before I create a thread (i.e. readdir is not called in any concurrent code). I don't even use the results from readdir, just making the call to it seems to screw things up. When I get rid of it, things seem to work fine. Some example code is below: opendir(DIR, $someDir); my @allFiles = readdir(DIR); close(DIR); my $thread = threads-create(\&sub1); $thread-join(); sub sub1 { print "in thread\n" }

  • Where to translate message strings - in the view or in the model?

    - by GrGr
    We have a multilingual (PHP) application and use gettext for i18n. There are a few classes in the backend/model that return messages or message formats for printf(). We use xgettext to extract the strings that we want to translate. We apply the gettext function T_() in the frontend/view - this seems to be where it belongs. So far we kept the backend clean from T_() calls, this way we can also unit-test messages. So in the frontend we have something like echo T_($mymodel->getMessage()); or printf(T_($mymodel->getMessageFormat()), $mymodel->getValue()); This makes it impossible to apply xgettext to extract the strings, unless we put some dummy T_("my message %s to translate") call in the MyModel class. So this leads to the more general question: Do you apply translation in the backend classes, resp. where do you apply translation and how do you keep track of the strings which you have to translate? (I am aware of Question: poedit workaround for dynamic gettext.)

    In a python program I am writing, I get an error saying Traceback (most recent call last): File "/Applications/Canopy.app/appdata/canopy-1.4.0.1938.macosx- x86_64/Canopy.app/Contents/lib/python2.7/lib-tk/Tkinter.py", line 1470, in __call__ return self.func(*args) File "/Users/lkloh/Library/Enthought/Canopy_64bit/User/lib/python2.7/site-packages/matplotlib/backends/backend_tkagg.py", line 413, in button_release_event FigureCanvasBase.button_release_event(self, x, y, num, guiEvent=event) File "/Users/lkloh/Library/Enthought/Canopy_64bit/User/lib/python2.7/site-packages/matplotlib/backend_bases.py", line 1808, in button_release_event self.callbacks.process(s, event) File "/Users/lkloh/Library/Enthought/Canopy_64bit/User/lib/python2.7/site-packages/matplotlib/cbook.py", line 525, in process del self.callbacks[s][cid] KeyError: 103 Do you have any idea how I can debug this/ what could be wrong? The error message does not point to anywhere in code I have personally written. I get the error message only after I close my GUI window, but I want to fix it even though it does not break the functionality of my code. The error is part of a very big program I am writing, so I cannot post all my code, but below is code I think is relevant: def save(self, event): self.getSaveAxes() self.save_connect() def getSaveAxes(self): saveFigure = figure(figsize=(8,1)) saveFigure.clf() # size of save buttons rect_saveHeaders = [0.04,0.2,0.2,0.6] rect_saveHeadersFilterParams = [0.28,0.2,0.2,0.6] rect_saveHeadersOverride = [0.52,0.2,0.2,0.6] rect_saveQuit = [0.76,0.2,0.2,0.6] #initalize axes saveAxs = {} saveAxs['saveHeaders'] = saveFigure.add_axes(rect_saveHeaders) saveAxs['saveHeadersFilterParams'] = saveFigure.add_axes(rect_saveHeadersFilterParams) saveAxs['saveHeadersOverride'] = saveFigure.add_axes(rect_saveHeadersOverride) saveAxs['saveQuit'] = saveFigure.add_axes(rect_saveQuit) self.saveAxs = saveAxs self.save_connect() self.saveFigure = saveFigure show() def save_connect(self): #set buttons self.bn_saveHeaders = Button(self.saveAxs['saveHeaders'], 'Save\nHeaders\nOnly') self.bn_saveHeadersFilterParams = Button(self.saveAxs['saveHeadersFilterParams'], 'Save Headers &\n Filter Parameters') self.bn_saveHeadersOverride = Button(self.saveAxs['saveHeadersOverride'], 'Save Headers &\nOverride Data') self.bn_saveQuit = Button(self.saveAxs['saveQuit'], 'Quit') #connect buttons to functions they trigger self.cid_saveHeaders = self.bn_saveHeaders.on_clicked(self.save_headers) self.cid_savedHeadersFilterParams = self.bn_saveHeadersFilterParams.on_clicked(self.save_headers_filterParams) self.cid_saveHeadersOverride = self.bn_saveHeadersOverride.on_clicked(self.save_headers_override) self.cid_saveQuit = self.bn_saveQuit.on_clicked(self.save_quit) def save_quit(self, event): self.save_disconnect() close()

  • Is it possible to get multiple forms to work with one ajax post function

    - by Scarface
    Hey guys I have a system where there is one form for each friend you have and I used to have an ajax post function for each form, but I want to save code and was wondering if it was possible to get multiple forms to work with just one post function. If anyone has any advice on how to achieve this I would appreciate it. For example <div id="message"> <form id='submit' class='message-form' method='POST' > <input type='hidden' id='to' value='friend1' maxlength='255' > Subject<br><input type='text' id='subject' maxlength='50'><br> Message<br><textarea id='message2' cols='50' rows='15'></textarea> <input type='submit' id='submitmessage' class='responsebutton' value='Send'> </form> </div> $(document).ready(function(){ $(".message-form").submit(function() { $("#submitmessage").attr({ disabled:true, value:\"Sending...\" }); var to = $('#to').attr('value'); var subject = $('#subject').attr('value'); var message = $('#message2').attr('value'); $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "messageprocess.php", data: 'to='+ to + '&subject=' + subject + '&message=' + message, success: function(response) { if(response == "OK") { $('.message-form').html("<div id='message'></div>"); $('#message').html("<h2>Email has been sent!</h2>") .append("<p>Please wait...</p>") .hide() .fadeIn(1500, function() { $('#message').append(\"<img id='checkmark' src='images/check.png' />\"); });
