  I use MouseMove event to move objects(say labels). simple principle(schematic): OnMouseMove(e MouseEventArgs) deltaX = e.X - lastX foreach label in labels label.Location.X += deltaX lastX = e.X Now, when I have one label there is no problem. Once the labels number increase, I start to see the labels traces along the moving trajectory. Is there a way to prevent this kind of traces? tried label.Visible = false label.Location.X += deltaX label.Visible = true does not help.

• Winforms: calling entry form function from a different class

  I'm kinda new to programming and got a question on what is a good practice. I created a class that represents a ball and it has a function Jump() that use 2 timers and get the ball up and down. I know that in Winforms you got to call Invalidate() every time you want to repaint the screen, or part of it. I didn't find a good way to do that, so I reference the form in my class, and called Invalidate() inside my ball class every time I need to repaint to ball movement. My objective is to get 4 variables (if possible) from a file path. these variables are: myCountry, myCity, myStreet, Filename. All declared as string. The file location is also declared as string. so I have: Dim filePath As String to illustrate my problem and what I am trying to do I have the following examples: 1- C:\my\location\is\UK\Birmingham\Summer Road\this house.txt. In this example myCountry would be= UK. myCity= Birmingham. myStreet=Summer Road. Filename=this house.txt 2- C:\my Location\is\France\Lyon\that house.txt. here myCountry=France. myCity=Lyon. There is no street. Filename=that house.txt 3- C:\my Location is\Germany\the other house.txt Here myCountry=Germany. No city. No street. Filename=the other house.txt What I am trying to say is I have no idea before hand about the lenght of the string or the position of the variables I want. I also don't know if I am going to find/get a city or street name in the path. However I do now that i will get myCountry and it will be one of 5 options: UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy.   For HTML input, I want to neutralize all HTML elements that have inline js (onclick="..", onmouseout=".." etc). I am thinking, isn't it enough to encode the following chars? =,(,) So onclick="location.href='ggg.com'" will become onclick%3D"location.href%3D'ggg.com'" What am I missing here? • How do you uninstall a ClickOnce application that doesn't appear in Add/Remove Programs?

  I'm getting the following error when I try to install one of my ClickOnce applications: An application for this deployment is already installed with a different application identity. I understand this is because I have used the same Application Identity but moved the deployment URL. I'd like to just uninstall the existing ClickOnce application and install from the new deployment location, however the existing application does not show in Add/Remove Programs. How can I remove the existing ClickOnce application so that it will let me install from the new location?

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

• How best to store Subversion version information in EAR's?

  When receiving a bug report or an it-doesnt-work message one of my initials questions is always what version? With a different builds being at many stages of testing, planning and deploying this is often a non-trivial question. I the case of releasing Java JAR (ear, jar, rar, war) files I would like to be able to look in/at the JAR and switch to the same branch, version or tag that was the source of the released JAR. How can I best adjust the ant build process so that the version information in the svn checkout remains in the created build? I was thinking along the lines of: adding a VERSION file, but with what content? storing information in the META-INF file, but under what property with which content? copying sources into the result archive added svn:properties to all sources with keywords in places the compiler leaves them be I ended up using the svnversion approach (the accepted anwser), because it scans the entire subtree as opposed to svn info which just looks at the current file / directory. • FormsAuthentication redirecting to login page when visiting root of website

  I wanted to use FormsAuthentication to secure my static files as well on my site, so I followed the instructions located here http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/244/how-to-take-advantage-of-the-iis7-integrated-pipeline/ under title "Enabling Forms Authentication for the Entire Application". Now though, when I try to visit the site by going directly to http://www.mysite.com I get redirected to http://www.mysite.com/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2f instead of it using my DefaultDocument I have set. I can go to my default document by just visiting http://www.mysite.com/Home.aspx without any issues because it is set to allow anonymous access. Is there something I need to add into my web.config file to make iis7 allow anonymous access to the root? I tried adding with anonymous access but no such luck. Any help would be much appreciated.   I am trying to test my application with location information. You know the Emulator Control has an ability to load from KML file. (Eclipse - DDMS - Emulator Control - Location Controls - KML - Load KML...) I've prepared KML file using Google earth application with its "Add path". Then saved it by .kml extension and load it on the Eclipse. Eclipse didn't load this KML file. How to prepare KML file for Android Emulator Control?

  When a user triggers a Javascript action, I want the JW FLV to seek back 5 seconds from the current location. I know how to send events using player.sendEvent('SEEK',seconds).
