  • JQuery:FullCalendar Plugin: Events are not shown in week view and day view but are shown in month vi

    - by bocode
    I've the following code to fetch events: $('#calendar').fullCalendar({ theme: true, slotMinutes: 10, header: { left: 'prev,next today', center: 'title', right: 'month,agendaWeek,agendaDay', }, defaultView: 'agendaDay', allDaySlot: false, editable: false, events: "/cgi-bin/shlk/getshlkruns.pl" }); The output from getshlkruns.pl is fairly simple json feed: [{'title': 'Successful','start': 1266398223,'end': 1266398266,'url': '/shlk/cgi-bin/getshlkrunlog.pl?i=21'}] There are several events like above (i've removed for brevity sake). So the above events show up when am in the month view but mysteriously absent when am in week or day view. What am doing wrong here? Thanks in advance for your answers.

  • Self-updating collection concurrency issues

    - by DEHAAS
    I am trying to build a self-updating collection. Each item in the collection has a position (x,y). When the position is changed, an event is fired, and the collection will relocate the item. Internally the collection is using a “jagged dictionary”. The outer dictionary uses the x-coordinate a key, while the nested dictionary uses the y-coordinate a key. The nested dictionary then has a list of items as value. The collection also maintains a dictionary to store the items position as stored in the nested dictionaries – item to stored location lookup. I am having some trouble making the collection thread safe, which I really need. Source code for the collection: public class PositionCollection<TItem, TCoordinate> : ICollection<TItem> where TItem : IPositionable<TCoordinate> where TCoordinate : struct, IConvertible { private readonly object itemsLock = new object(); private readonly Dictionary<TCoordinate, Dictionary<TCoordinate, List<TItem>>> items; private readonly Dictionary<TItem, Vector<TCoordinate>> storedPositionLookup; public PositionCollection() { this.items = new Dictionary<TCoordinate, Dictionary<TCoordinate, List<TItem>>>(); this.storedPositionLookup = new Dictionary<TItem, Vector<TCoordinate>>(); } public void Add(TItem item) { if (item.Position == null) { throw new ArgumentException("Item must have a valid position."); } lock (this.itemsLock) { if (!this.items.ContainsKey(item.Position.X)) { this.items.Add(item.Position.X, new Dictionary<TCoordinate, List<TItem>>()); } Dictionary<TCoordinate, List<TItem>> xRow = this.items[item.Position.X]; if (!xRow.ContainsKey(item.Position.Y)) { xRow.Add(item.Position.Y, new List<TItem>()); } xRow[item.Position.Y].Add(item); if (this.storedPositionLookup.ContainsKey(item)) { this.storedPositionLookup[item] = new Vector<TCoordinate>(item.Position); } else { this.storedPositionLookup.Add(item, new Vector<TCoordinate>(item.Position)); // Store a copy of the original position } item.Position.PropertyChanged += (object sender, PropertyChangedEventArgs eventArgs) => this.UpdatePosition(item, eventArgs.PropertyName); } } private void UpdatePosition(TItem item, string propertyName) { lock (this.itemsLock) { Vector<TCoordinate> storedPosition = this.storedPositionLookup[item]; this.RemoveAt(storedPosition, item); this.storedPositionLookup.Remove(item); } } } I have written a simple unit test to check for concurrency issues: [TestMethod] public void TestThreadedPositionChange() { PositionCollection<Crate, int> collection = new PositionCollection<Crate, int>(); Crate crate = new Crate(new Vector<int>(5, 5)); collection.Add(crate); Parallel.For(0, 100, new Action<int>((i) => crate.Position.X += 1)); Crate same = collection[105, 5].First(); Assert.AreEqual(crate, same); } The actual stored position varies every time I run the test. I appreciate any feedback you may have.

  • another onmouseover problem this one concerns pictures

    - by user334118
    Hi all! have problems with mouseover in Mozilla and Chrome after making it work in IE, for sure I can tell you that my code woked perfectly in Chrome at least, cause thats my default browser and I used it for debuging when creating the javascipt and it worked nicely... until I tried to make it work in IE too. Here I post the full code of the webpage I'm having trouble with. <%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="WebbShop.aspx.cs" Inherits="FSwebportal.WebbShop" %> .prodShow{width: 100%; text-align:center;border:0; float:right; position:inherit; padding-left:310px;} prodFollow{display:block; width:100%; height:100%; position:fixed; overflow:hidden;} orderSett{display:block; position:relative; float:left; padding-top:inherit;} .ShowBig{width:290px;height:290px; padding-top:10px;} .pTb{width:50px;} .order{background-color:Transparent;margin:3px;} .txtArea{border:0;overflow:auto;width:200px;height:100px;} .prodRow{background-image:url("produktbakgrund.png"); background-repeat:repeat;} .row{background-color:Transparent;width:100%;margin: 0px auto;display:inline-table;} .col{background-color:Transparent;width:100%;margin:3px;} <div id="prodFollow"> <table id="dumbTable"> <tr> <td> <img id="sideImg" class="ShowBig" src="" alt=""/> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <h3><b>Specifikationer:</b></h3> <select name=""> </select> </td> </tr> </table> </div> <table id="itemList" class="prodShow" cellspacing="0"> <thead> <tr class="prodRow"> <th>Bild</th> <th>Förklaring</th> <th>Artikelnummer</th> <th>Pris</th> </tr> </thead> </table> <script type="text/javascript"> function appendRow() { var tbl = document.getElementById('itemList'); var len = <%= aspInfo.Count %>; var arr = new Array(len); var currIndex = 0; var imgID=0; <% for (int x = 0; x < aspInfo.Count; x++) { Response.Write("arr["+x+"]= '"+ aspInfo[x]+"';"); } %> for(row =0; row < arr.length/4;row++) { var rad = tbl.insertRow(tbl.rows.length); rad.setAttribute('class','prodRow'); for (c = 0; c < tbl.rows[row].cells.length; c++) { if(c < 1) { createCell(rad.insertCell(c), arr[currIndex], 'col',imgID); imgID++; } else { if(c < 3) { createCell(rad.insertCell(c),"<Label class=txtArea>" + arr[currIndex] + "</Label>", 'row',imgID); } else { createCell(rad.insertCell(c),"<Label class=txtArea>" + arr[currIndex] + " SKR</Label><br>Antal:<input type=text class=pTb /><input type=button width=100px value='Lägg i varukorg'></input>", 'order',imgID); } } currIndex++; } } } function createCell(cell, text, style,imgID) { if (style == 'col') { var arrLen = <% = largeImg.Count %>; var imgArr = new Array(arrLen); <% for (int x = 0; x < largeImg.Count; x++) { Response.Write("imgArr["+x+"]= '"+ largeImg[x]+"';"); } %> var div = document.createElement('div'); div.setAttribute('class', style); div.setAttribute('className', style); div.innerHTML = "<a href='#'><img id='" + imgID + "' src='" + text + "' onmouseover=javascript:onImg('" + imgArr[imgID] + "') border='0' alt='Animg' /></a>"; cell.appendChild(div); } else { var div = document.createElement('div'); div.setAttribute('class', style); div.setAttribute('className', style); div.innerHTML = text; cell.appendChild(div); } } </script> <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"> function onImg(bigImg) { var img = document.getElementById('sideImg#'); img.src = bigImg; alert(img.src.toString()); } </script> </form> hope you guys can solve it for me, going mad! best regards David

  • how to code client-side call to webservice that calls automatically every few seconds

    - by Bob Jones
    I have a webservice that I want to call from the browser every few seconds to see if there are any notification messages in the database that should be displayed on the screen. We have the JSON code working to display the messages in a JavaScript function after an Async Postback, but this only executes after a page turn. I want it to execute every 10-15 seconds as well. A code sample would be very helpful.

  • C# Event Handlers Using an Enum

    - by Jimbo
    I have a StatusChanged event that is raised by my object when its status changes - however, the application needs to carry out additional actions based on what the new status is. e.g If the new status is Disconnected, then it must update the status bar text and send an email notification. So, I wanted to create an Enum with the possible statuses (Connected, Disconnected, ReceivingData, SendingData etc.) and have that sent with the EventArgs parameter of the event when it is raised (see below) Define the object: class ModemComm { public event CommanderEventHandler ModemCommEvent; public delegate void CommanderEventHandler(object source, ModemCommEventArgs e); public void Connect() { ModemCommEvent(this, new ModemCommEventArgs ModemCommEventArgs.eModemCommEvent.Connected)); } } Define the new EventArgs parameter: public class ModemCommEventArgs : EventArgs{ public enum eModemCommEvent { Idle, Connected, Disconnected, SendingData, ReceivingData } public eModemCommEvent eventType { get; set; } public string eventMessage { get; set; } public ModemCommEventArgs(eModemCommEvent eventType, string eventMessage) { this.eventMessage = eventMessage; this.eventType = eventType; } } I then create a handler for the event in the application: ModemComm comm = new ModemComm(); comm.ModemCommEvent += OnModemCommEvent; and private void OnModemCommEvent(object source, ModemCommEventArgs e) { } The problem is, I get a 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' error when the object attempts to raise the event. Hoping someone can explain in n00b terms why and how to fix it :)

  • How to call an event when the user "finally" selects an item in a list?

    - by herzmeister der welten
    When a user clicks once on an item in a Grid or a ListBox, that item is usually selected, hence most UI frameworks have a onSelected event or the like for that. However, how can we generally call the next step when a user "finally" selects an item by e.g. double clicking an entry? You know when some popup might appear in the context of the selected item and the user can do further stuff. Strangely enough, I think I have never seen a word for that in any UI framework. onPicked, onAccepted, onChosen, onFinallySelected, onResult? All kinda awkward or too special. Any other ideas?

  • JQuery checkbox state is updated differently between group click() and $.each(obj.click())

    The code below doesn't work in the same behavior. The sequence of click event and calling foo() is different. I want to know why they behave different sequence between call click() and iterate the objects before call click() on each. <script type="text/javascript"> function foo(obj){ alert(obj.id+" ->"+obj.checked); } function clickAll(val){ if (val) { $(":checkbox").click(); } else { $(":checkbox").each(function(i,obj){ obj.click(); }); } } </script> </head> <body> <input type="checkbox" id="check1" onclick="foo(this)" /> a <input type="checkbox" id="check2" onclick="foo(this)" /> b <input type="checkbox" id="check3" onclick="foo(this)" /> c <input type="button" onclick="clickAll(true)" value="click all" /> <input type="button" onclick="clickAll(false)" value="click all each" /> </body>

  • Javascript parent page redirection from iframe.

    - by Danil
    Hello to all. I need to implement parent page redirection from iframe. I know that it is impossible to do in different domains due to browsers security. However I found that links have target attribute and tried to use it in the following way: <a href="http://google.com" target="_top" id="testParentRedirect">someLink</a> It works fine if I click this link manually, but I couldn't find cross-browser solution to simulate it using javascript. document.getElementById('testParentRedirect').click(); This works fine in IE, however Firefox and Safary don't know click function :). I tried to work with jquery, but for some reason they don't simulate click event for links. (see following post) I couldn't find any appropriate solution on stackoverflow. Maybe someone could help me in it. I will appreciate it. :)

  • How to capture a click on a link on a temporary layer that is hidden when the focus changes

    - by hstoerr
    We have a layer that appears when a certain text input has the focus and that should dissappear when the input loses the focus. I tried to do it like this: <input type="text" onblur="document.getElementById('hideme').style.display='none'" /> <div id="hideme">Textextext <a href="http://disney.com/">disney</a> text</div> My problem is: when the user clicks on the link link, the browser does not follow this link. It seems the layer disappears before the browser checks where the click goes. What can I do here? One idea would be to watch whether the mouse enters the hideme div and not to close it when the mouse cursor is in there, but this seems way to complicated. Do you have a better idea? By the way: you can try it out very easy by pasting this into the Tryit Editor of w3schools. :-)

  • Problem executing trackPageview with Google Analytics.

    - by dmrnj
    I'm trying to capture the clicks of certain download links and track them in Google Analytics. Here's my code var links = document.getElementsByTagName("a"); for (var i = 0; i < links.length; i++) { linkpath = links[i].pathname; if( linkpath.match(/\.(pdf|xls|ppt|doc|zip|txt)$/) || links[i].href.indexOf("mode=pdf") >=0 ){ //this matches our search addClickTracker(links[i]); } } function addClickTracker(obj){ if (obj.addEventListener) { obj.addEventListener('click', track , true); } else if (obj.attachEvent) { obj.attachEvent("on" + 'click', track); } } function track(e){ linkhref = (e.srcElement) ? e.srcElement.pathname : this.pathname; pageTracker._trackPageview(linkhref); } Everything up until the pageTracker._trackPageview() call works. In my debugging linkhref is being passed fine as a string. No abnormal characters, nothing. The issue is that, watching my http requests, Google never makes a second call to the tracking gif (as it does if you call this function in an "onclick" property). Calling the tracker from my JS console also works as expected. It's only in my listener. Could it be that my listener is not deferring the default action (loading the new page) before it has a chance to contact Google's servers? I've seen other tracking scripts that do a similar thing without any deferral.

  • Better way to kill a Form after the FormClosing event is overridden to hide rather than close?

    - by Paul Sasik
    I have a simple Windows Form that hosts property controls at runtime. To keep the window and its contents alive rather than killing it by handling the FormClosing event, cancel the event and simply hide the form. That's fine but at close of the application I need to actually close the window. I implemented the below but it feels kludgey. Is there a simpler, more clever way to handle this situation? (The form's controller calls KillForm explicitly after it receives a closing event from the main window.) Friend Class HostForm Private _hideInsteadOfClosing As Boolean = True Private Sub HostForm_FormClosing(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As FormClosingEventArgs) _ Handles Me.FormClosing If _hideInsteadOfClosing Then Me.Hide() e.Cancel = True End If End Sub Public Sub KillForm() _hideInsteadOfClosing = False Me.Close() End Sub End Class

    How can I temporarily disable the onclick event listener, (jQuery preferred), after the event has been fired? Example: After the user clicks on the button and fires this function below, I want to disabled the onclick listener, therefore not firing the same command to my django view. $(".btnRemove").click(function(){ $(this).attr("src", "/url/to/ajax-loader.gif"); $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "/url/to/django/view/to/remove/item/" + this.id, dataType: "json", success: function(returned_data){ $.each(returned_data, function(i, item){ // do stuff }); } }); Thanks a lot, Aldo

  • Capture and handling the tab/Textchanged event in a textbox in asp.net MVC

    - by Icerman
    I have the following code th handle a user name validation on the server side. But the event seems not firing since break points in js or C# code didn't hit. Can anyone point out where I did wrong? Here is the user control which has a user name textbox: <%: Html.TextBox("UserName", Model.Username, new { maxlength = "40", size = "20", tabindex = "1", @onchange = "CheckAvailability()" })% CheckAvailability() is defined in the User.Validation.js and included in the above user control: $(document).ready(function () { function CheckAvailability() { $.post("/Home/Survey/CheckAvailability", { Username: $("#UserName").val() }, function (data) { var myObject = eval('(' + data + ')'); var newid = myObject; if (newid == 0) { $("#usernamelookupresult").html("<font color='green'>Available :-D</font>") } else { $("#usernamelookupresult").html("<font color='red'>Taken :-(</font>") } }); } }); Here is the survey controller function which will have server side validation: [HttpPost] public ActionResult CheckAvailability(string Username) { int Taken = 0; // This is where you add your database lookup if (Username == "abc") { Taken = 1; } return Json(Taken); }

  • Javascript to fire event when a key pressed on the Ajax Toolkit Combo box.

    - by Paul Chapman
    I have the following drop down list which is using the Ajax Toolkit to provide a combo box <cc1:ComboBox ID="txtDrug" runat="server" style="font-size:8pt; width:267px;" Font-Size="8pt" DropDownStyle="DropDownList" AutoCompleteMode="SuggestAppend" AutoPostBack="True" ontextchanged="txtDrug_TextChanged" /> Now I need to load this up with approx 7,000 records which takes a considerable time, and effects the response times when the page is posted back and forth. The code which loads these records is as follows; dtDrugs = wsHelper.spGetAllDrugs(); txtDrug.DataValueField = "pkDrugsID"; txtDrug.DataTextField = "drugName"; txtDrug.DataSource = dtDrugs; txtDrug.DataBind(); However if I could get an event to fire when a letter is typed instead of having to load 7000 records it is reduced to less than 50 in most instances. I think this can be done in Javascript. So the question is how can I get an event to fire such that when the form starts there is nothing in the drop down, but as soon as a key is pressed it searches for those records starting with that letter. The .Net side of things I'm sure about - it is the Javascript I'm not. Thanks in advance

  • Converting OCaml to F#: F# equivelent of Pervasives at_exit

    - by Guy Coder
    I am converting the OCaml Format module to F# and tracked a problem back to a use of the OCaml Pervasives at_exit. val at_exit : (unit -> unit) -> unit Register the given function to be called at program termination time. The functions registered with at_exit will be called when the program executes exit, or terminates, either normally or because of an uncaught exception. The functions are called in "last in, first out" order: the function most recently added with at_exit is called first. In the process of conversion I commented out the line as the compiler did not flag it as being needed and I was not expecting an event in the code. I checked the FSharp.PowerPack.Compatibility.PervasivesModule for at_exit using VS Object Browser and found none. I did find how to run code "at_exit"? and How do I write an exit handler for an F# application? The OCaml line is at_exit print_flush with print_flush signature: val print_flush : (unit -> unit) Also in looking at the use of it during a debug session of the OCaml code, it looks like at_exit is called both at the end of initialization and at the end of each use of a call to the module. Any suggestions, hints on how to do this. This will be my first event in F#. EDIT Here is some of what I have learned about the Format module that should shed some light on the problem. The Format module is a library of functions for basic pretty printer commands of simple OCaml values such as int, bool, string. The format module has commands like print_string, but also some commands to say put the next line in a bounded box, think new set of left and right margins. So one could write: print_string "Hello" or open_box 0; print_string "<<"; open_box 0; print_string "p \/ q ==> r"; close_box(); print_string ">>"; close_box() The commands such as open_box and print_string are handled by a loop that interprets the commands and then decides wither to print on the current line or advance to the next line. The commands are held in a queue and there is a state record to hold mutable values such as left and right margin. The queue and state needs to be primed, which from debugging the test cases against working OCaml code appears to be done at the end of initialization of the module but before the first call is made to any function in the Format module. The queue and state is cleaned up and primed again for the next set of commands by the use of mechanisms for at_exit that recognize that the last matching frame for the initial call to the format modules has been removed thus triggering the call to at_exit which pushes out any remaining command in the queue and re-initializes the queue and state. So the sequencing of the calls to print_flush is critical and appears to be at more than what the OCaml documentation states.

  • Event not triggering

    - by the Hampster
    I have no idea where to start on this one. I have a that does not appear until a button is clicked. This function call works: onclick="highlight('mod_sup_div', true);" function highlight(aDiv,show) { if (show) { Effect.Appear('Overlay',{duration: 0.5, to: .80}); Effect.Appear(aDiv,{duration: 0.5}) } else { Effect.Fade('Overlay',{duration: 0.5, to: .80}); Effect.Fade(aDiv,{duration: 0.5}) } } In the <div> I have a button to close the window. <p class="closer"><span onclick="highlight('mod_sup_div',false)">X</span></p> This does not work. The function is not even called, as I made a alert() the first line of the function at it does nothing. What is odd, is that onclick="Effect.Fade(aDiv,{duration: 0.5})" does work. Other simple javascript functions in the onclick="" work, except for the function call. Any help as to why this is happening would be very appreciated. Thanks, Dave

Look this code: <div> <a href = "#"><span>Click me MAN !</span></a> </div> <script type = "text/javascript"> window.onload = function () { document.body.addEventListener ("click", function (event) { var target = event.target; alert ("Returns \"" + target.nodeName + "\". Just want \"" + target.parentNode.nodeName + "\"") }, false); } </script> You can see the element "span" inside a "link", when the "link" is clicked the current target is the same "span". How can the "event.target" return "link" instead of "span". Thanks and no, I don't want to use "parentNode".

  • javascript :Object doesn't support this property or method

    - by Kaushik
    In my jsp page, I have in the tag, the following code: <script type="text/javascript" src="<%=request.getContextPath()%>/static/js/common/common.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> // Function for Suppressing the JS Error function silentErrorHandler() {return true;} window.onerror=silentErrorHandler; </script> If there is some javascript executing on the jsp page after this, then I guess silentErrorHandler() will have no effect. i.e. the error will still show on page. IS this correct? Because the error is showing and am not sure why. The second part of the question is this: The error is Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.2; AskTbFXTV5/5.9.1.14019) Timestamp: Fri, 7 Jan 2011 21:26:23 UTC Message: Object doesn't support this property or method Line: 613 Char: 1 Code: 0 URI: http://localhost:9080/Claris/static/js/common/common.js And finally, line 613 states document.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEUP); There is error on IE8. Runs fine on Mozilla and IE7. Any suggestions will be very helpful

  • MouseWheel Event Fire

    - by Rahat
    I have a problem on calling my private method on MouseWheel event. In fact my mouse wheel event gets fired properly when i only increment a variable or display something in Title bar etc. But when i want to call a private method, that method gets called only one time which is not the requirement i want to call that method depending on the speed of scroll i.e. when scroll is done one time slowly call the private method one time but when the scroll is done in high speed call the private method more than one time depending on the scroll speed. For further explanation i am placing the sample code which displays the value of i in Title bar and add it in the Listbox control properly depending on the scroll speed but when i want to call the private method more than one time depending upon the scroll speed, that method gets called only one time. public partial class Form1 : Form { ListBox listBox1 = new ListBox(); int i = 0; public Form1() { InitializeComponent(); // Settnig ListBox control properties this.listBox1.Anchor = ((System.Windows.Forms.AnchorStyles)((((System.Windows.Forms.AnchorStyles.Top | System.Windows.Forms.AnchorStyles.Bottom) | System.Windows.Forms.AnchorStyles.Left) | System.Windows.Forms.AnchorStyles.Right))); this.listBox1.FormattingEnabled = true; this.listBox1.Location = new System.Drawing.Point(13, 13); this.listBox1.Name = "listBox1"; this.listBox1.Size = new System.Drawing.Size(259, 264); this.listBox1.TabIndex = 0; // Attaching Mouse Wheel Event this.listBox1.MouseWheel += new MouseEventHandler(Form1_MouseWheel); // Adding Control this.Controls.Add(this.listBox1); } void Form1_MouseWheel(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { i++; this.Text = i.ToString(); this.listBox1.Items.Add(i.ToString()); // Uncomment the following line to call the private method // this method gets called only one time irrelevant of the // mouse wheel scroll speed. // this.LaunchThisEvent(); } private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { this.listBox1.Select(); } private void LaunchThisEvent() { // Display message each time // this method gets called. MessageBox.Show(i.ToString()); } } How to call the private method more than one time depending upon the speed of the mouse wheel scroll?
