  This started with weird behaviour that I thought was tied to my implementation of ToString(), and I asked this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2916068/why-wont-wpf-databindings-show-text-when-tostring-has-a-collaborating-object It turns out to have nothing to do with collaborators and is reproducible. When I bind Label.Content to a property of the DataContext that is declared as an interface type, ToString() is called on the runtime object and the label displays the result. When I bind TextBlock.Text to the same property, ToString() is never called and nothing is displayed. But, if I change the declared property to a concrete implementation of the interface, it works as expected. Is this somehow by design? If so, any idea why? • Not able to create a datasource registration with WAMP MysQL 5.0 in DBArtisan

  I try in a test version of DBArtisan to set up a datasource and register both servere as localhost, database to use, my username and password, but, when testing the connection, I get message that connection failed. Hooking up from eg. Delphi and other utilities run nicely. But not DBArtisan, Is MySQL 5.0 not supported yet ?? Or is it WAMP that is the culprit naming the service wampmysqld insted of just mysqld ??

• Error when run activeX control in different computer

  I've implement my activeX control in Delphi. I've build a c# application to embed it. It runs fine on my computer. After that, I copy and paste all c# solution with the my ocx file to another computer, register by regsrv32.exe succeed, add to COM components on visual studio toolbox, compile and run again. It consistently complains ' System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8000FFFF): Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED)) What's problem I'm dealing with? What may I do wrong?

• How do you make the scale animation begin at the middle of the object instead of the top left?

  What I am trying to accomplish: 10 percent increase scale transformation of a rectangle via Silverlight storyboard animation. What I currently doing: While in Expression Blend 3, I created a rectangle, created a storyboard, and created the scale transformation. The preview looked correct because the increase in scale begins in the middle of the object. When I run the project the scale transformation begins at the top left. Is there some piece of code missing? • Property trigger in XAML for IsMouseOver fails to set Border.Background

  I'm currently trying to create a ControlTemplate for the Button class in WPF, replacing the usual visual tree with something that makes the button look similar to the little (X) close icon on Google Chrome's tabs. I decided to use a Path object in XAML to achieve the effect. Using a property trigger, the control responds to a change in the IsMouseOver property by setting the icon's red background. The problem with this is that the trigger just isn't working. Nothing changes in the button's appearance. However, if I remove the Background="Transparent" value from the Border object in the ControlTemplate, the trigger does work (albeit only when over the 'X'). I really can't explain this. Setters for any other properties placed in the borderStyle resource work fine, but the Background setter fails as soon as the default background is specified in the ControlTemplate. Any ideas why it's happening and how I can fix it? I know I could easily replace this code with, for example, a .PNG-based image, but I want to understand why the current implementation isn't working. Thanks! :)

  Hi, I want to create a 2 way bind between a listbox and a .NET list. In my GUI, I have a listbox, a textbox and add and remove buttons. The listbox displays cars, and my goal is to create a 2way bind between the .Net car list and the listbox: when the user enters a car into the textbox, it gets updated only in the .Net list, and the listbox is updated automatically. When the user press the GUI "remove" button, a car gets removed from the GUI and the .Net list is updated automatically.   I supposed, once i change the value of txtA, the txtB and txtC would change automatically, since i have implemented INotifyPropertyChanged for ValueA. But they were not updated on UI. txtB was always 100, and txtC was always -50. I don't know what's the reason. • Linux fsck.ext3 says "Device or resource busy" although I did not mount the disk.

  I am running an ubuntu 8.04 server instance with a 8GB virtual disk on vmware 1.0.9. For disk maintenance I made a copy of the virtual disk (by making a copy of the 2 vmdk files of sda on the stopped vm on the host) and added it to the original vm. Now this vm has it's original virtual disk sda plus a 1:1 copy (sdd). There are 2 additional disk sdb and sdc which I ignore.) I would expect sdb not to be mounted when I start the vm. So I try tp do a ext2 fsck on sdd from the running vm, but it reports fsck reported that sdb was mounted. $ sudo fsck.ext3 -b 8193 /dev/sdd e2fsck 1.40.8 (13-Mar-2008) fsck.ext3: Device or resource busy while trying to open /dev/sdd Filesystem mounted or opened exclusively by another program?   We have some requirements which explained here. We tried to satisfy them without any success as described. Here is the brief information: Here are requirements: 1. High Availability 2. Load Balancing Current Configuration: Server #1: one static (real) IP for each 10.17.243.11 Server #2: one static (real) IP for each 10.17.243.12 Cluster (virtual and shared among all servers) IP: 10.17.243.15 I tried to use CLUSTERIP to have the cluster IP by the following: on the server #1 iptables -I INPUT -i eth0 -d 10.17.243.15 -j CLUSTERIP --new --hashmode sourceip --clustermac 01:00:5E:00:00:20 --total-nodes 2 --local-node 1 on the server #2 iptables -I INPUT -i eth0 -d 10.17.243.15 -j CLUSTERIP --new --hashmode sourceip --clustermac 01:00:5E:00:00:20 --total-nodes 2 --local-node 2 When we try to ping 10.17.243.15 there is no reply. And the web service (tomcat on port 8080) is not accessible either. However we managed to get the packets on both servers by using TCPDUMP. • Having problems with high CPU usage and apparent memory leak of Exim

  I'm having problems with my server and am hoping you can help. The culprit appears to be exim. The CPU usage is consistently high and the memory usage trends up and up and up for no apparent reason (this is not a heavily used server).
