  • How do I get a bundle reference from inside of a plugin with carbon?

    I'm writing a C++ plugin in Mac OS X using the Carbon framework (yeah, yeah, I know, Apple is deprecating Carbon, but at the moment I can't migrate this code to Cocoa). My plugin gets loaded by a master application, and I need to get a CFBundleRef reference to my plugin so that I can access it's resources. The problem is, when I call CFBundleGetMainBundle() during my plugin's initialization routines, that returns a reference to the host's bundle reference, not the plugin's. How can I get a reference to my plugin's bundle instead? Note: I would rather not use anything determined at compile-time, including calling CFBundleGetBundleWithIdentifier() with a hard-coded string identifier.

  • Unpacking an assembly inside of a war

    Hi all, I have another project which contains static content (css, images, JS, etc.), and I need that to be copied to the web root directory of jetty for testing. In that project, I output a zip file packaging up all of the images, CSS, etc. I have several of those virtualhost projects for different clients and my question is, how do I unpack the zip file that was already installed into the maven repository to the jetty web root?     I'm using Weblogic 9.2 with a lot of MDBs. These MDBs access JDBC DataSources and write to both locally and externally managed JMS Destinations using local and foreign XAConnectionFactorys, respectively. Each MDB demarcates a container-managed JTA transaction that should be distributed amongst all of these resources. Below is an excerpt from my ejb-jar.xml for an MDB that consumes from a local Queue called "MyDestination" and produces to an IBM Websphere MQ Queue called "MyOtherDestination". These logical names are linked to physical objects in my weblogic-ejb-jar.xml file. Is it required to use the <resource-ref> and <message-destination-ref> tags to expose the ConnectionFactory and Queue to the MDB? If so, is it required by Weblogic or is it required by the J2EE spec? And for what purpose? For example, is it required to support XA transactionality? I'm already aware of the benefit of decoupling the administered objects from my MDB using names exposed to the naming context of the MDB. Is this the only value added when specifying these tags?   • Trying to debug a plugin in tuxguitar, need help building the project in Eclipse.

    I am not too familiar with java / eclipse but I am trying to debug a plugin in TuxGuitar. The plugin is the gtp plugin which allows reading of guitar pro files. I have imported the main project, TuxGuitar, and the TuxGuitar-gtp plugin. I have all build dependencies configured and the project builds. However, when I debug the app, the plugin is not available. The documentation says plugins are loaded from the share/plugins folder and they are jar files. I tried exporting the gtp plugin as a jar into the share/plugins folder, but it still does not load when I debug. Is there some sort of configuration I need to do in Eclipse? Thanks!

I use a ServletContext to load some resources, so I have: @Context private ServletContext servletContext; If I deploy this on Glassfish, the ServletContext is injected and it works like expected. But I don't know how to inject the ServletContext in my service class, so that I can test it with a JUnit test. I use Spring 3.0, JUnit 4, CXF 2.2.3 and Maven.

  • Why is javac 1.5 running so slowly compared with the Eclipse compiler?

    I have a Java Maven project with about 800 source files (some generated by javacc/JTB) which is taking a good 25 minutes to compile with javac. When I changed my pom.xml over to use the Eclipse compiler, it takes about 30 seconds to compile. Any suggestions as to why javac (1.5) is running so slowly? (I don't want to switch over to the Eclipse compiler permanently, as the plugin for Maven seems more than a little buggy.) I have a test case which easily reproduces the problem. The following code generates a number of source files in the default package.   • m2eclipse sets JDK compliance to 1.4

    Using eclipse 3.5, when I create a new maven project, m2eclipse automatically adds J2SE1.4 to libraries and Compiler Compliance Level to 1.4 (Project properties Java Compiler). My JRE system library is 1.6 and my default compiler compliance level is 1.6. I don't even have 1.4 installed. Can I make m2eclipse use my default settings and prevent it from modifying project settings?

When we upgrade a library it would be useful to quickly find out which projects have a dependency on the library (and might need to use the new version) Obviously I can manually look in all the pom files or write a script to do it but this is less than ideal. Are there any tools that provide this functionality. e.g. a hudson plugin, Nexus, artifactory etc?

    Hi, I m facing a issue where test/resource is not picked,but instead jar's main/resource is picked Scenario is like : Myproject src/test/resources--- have config.xml w which should be needed by abc.jar which is a dependecy in Myproject. When running test case for Myproject its loading config.xml of abc.jar instead of Myproject test/resources. - I need to know order in which maven pick resources. - Or wat im trying is not possible.     I have imported a GWT project from GIT , but when i run maven Install it says .m2\repository\commons-logging\commons-logging\1.1\commons-logging-1.1.jar; cannot read zip file entry and if i simply run my application , i get this \git\my-Search-Engine\qsse\war}: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/inject/servlet/GuiceServletContextListener I tried to find out the way , one solution i found was to move the guice-servlet-3.0 from build path to \qsse\war\webinf\lib but if i do that i start gettin the exception ava.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/inject/Injector any idea how can i resolve this

    I'm trying to find a lightbox style plugin in jQuery that displays thumbnails at the bottom of the picture (or video, or whatever). I found plenty of lightbox plugins, but none that allows navigation by thumbnail inside the box. The plugin must be able to open images, swf and inline content.     I've just set up my first Android development environment consisting of Eclipse 3.5 Mac OSX 10.5 Android SDK for x86 macs ADT Eclipse plugin 0.9.6 I've set set $PATH to my SDK/tools directory (which shouldn't matter if I only use Eclipse right?) and started Eclipse, but when I try to set the path to the SDK in Eclipse, i get the error "parseSdkContent failed".     I am using the cycle plugin within Joomla and it works fine on IE6,FF,SAFARI,CHROME however when you view it in OPERA breaking happens.     Hi. I want to use this plugin, but I don't know if it'll meet all of my requirements. I know I have to use JSON to fetch the data from the server and then use it at the client side, is that right?. For now, that's fine, because I only have very few records, but when I have thousands of ; will it be convenient to bring all the data at once? What I would like to know is : Is there any way to query the database every time I press the number of an specific page? I ask this cause I don't think is a good idea to load all the data in one go, is it?
