• Duplicate values multi array

  As the title states I'm searching for a unique solution in multi arrays. PHP is not my world so I can't make up a good and fast solution. I basically get this from the database: http://pastebin.com/vYhFCuYw . I want to check on the 'id' key, and if the array contains a duplicate 'id', then the 'aantal' should be added to each other. So basically the output has to be this: http://pastebin.com/0TXRrwLs . Thanks in advance!   OK, I've been working on something for a while now, using reflection to accomplish a lot of what I need to do, but I've hit a bit of a stumbling block... I'm trying to use reflection to populate the properties of an array of a child property... not sure that's clear, so it's probably best explained in code: Parent Class: Public Class parent Private _child As childObject() Public Property child As childObject() Get Return _child End Get Set(ByVal value As child()) _child = value End Set End Property End Class Child Class: Public Class childObject Private _name As String Public Property name As String Get Return _name End Get Set(ByVal value As String) _name = value End Set End Property Private _descr As String Public Property descr As String Get Return _descr End Get Set(ByVal value As String) _descr = value End Set End Property End Class So, using reflection, I'm trying to set the values of the array of child objects through the parent object... Anyone have any ideas? @Jon :- Thanks, I think I've gotten a little further, by creating individual child objects, and then assigning them to an array... The issue is now trying to get that array assigned to the parent object (using reflection). It shouldn't be difficult, but I think the problem comes because I don't necessarily know the parent/child types. I'm using reflection to determine which parent/child is being passed in. The parent always has only one property, which is an array of the child object. When I try assigning the child array to the parent object, I get a invalid cast exception saying it can't convert Object[] to . EDIT: Basically, what I have now is: Dim PropChildInfo As PropertyInfo() = ResponseObject.GetType().GetProperties() For Each PropItem As PropertyInfo In PropChildInfo PropItem.SetValue(ResponseObject, ResponseChildren, Nothing) Next ResponseObject is an instance of the parent Class, and ResponseChildren is an array of the childObject Class. This fails with: Object of type 'System.Object[]' cannot be converted to type 'childObject[]'.

• Integers not properly returned from a property list (plist) array in Objective-C

  In summary, I am having a problem where I read what I expect to be an NSNumber from an NSArray contained in a property list and instead of getting a number such as '1', I get what looks to be a memory address (i.e. '61879840'). The numbers are clearly correct in the property list. Below is my process for creating the property list and reading it back. Creating the property list I have created a simple Objective-C property list with arrays of integers within one root array: <array> <array> <integer>1</integer> <integer>2</integer> </array> <array> <integer>1</integer> <integer>2</integer> <integer>5</integer> </array> ... more arrays with integers ... </array> The arrays are NSArray objects and the integers are NSNumber objects.   Hello frens, This is not a problem, but I just want to know stored as array of Mongoid better. I have following code in my model. class Company include Mongoid::Document include Mongoid::Timestamps references_many :people, :stored_as => :array, :inverse_of => :companies end class Person include Mongoid::Document include Sunspot::Mongoid references_many :companies, :stored_as => :array, :inverse_of => :people end Now in Company object we get person_ids as a result of stored_as array and company_ids in Person object. Now initially I inserted lots of person in company and the ids in person_ids fields is huge. Now I deleted most of person from company down to 8 people. Now I don't get why person_ids fields of Company object storing all the deleted ids of person.   I had to make an array with as indexes A-Z (the alphabet). Each index had to have a value 0. So i made this array: $alfabet = array( 'A' => 0, 'B' => 0, 'C' => 0, 'D' => 0, 'E' => 0, 'F' => 0, 'G' => 0, 'H' => 0, 'I' => 0, 'J' => 0, 'K' => 0, 'L' => 0, 'M' => 0, 'N' => 0, 'O' => 0, 'P' => 0, 'Q' => 0, 'R' => 0, 'S' => 0, 'T' => 0, 'U' => 0, 'V' => 0, 'W' => 0, 'X' => 0, 'Y' => 0, 'Z' => 0 ); I also have got text from a file ($text = file_get_contents('tekst15.txt');) I have putted the chars in that file to an array: $textChars = str_split ($text); and sorted it from A-Z: sort($textChars); What i want is that (with a for loop) when he finds an A in the textChars array, the value of the other array with index A, goes up by one (so like: $alfabet[A]++; Can anyone help me with this loop? I have this atm: for($i = 0; $i <= count($textChars); $i++){ while($textChars[$i] == $alfabet[A]){ $alfabet[A]++; } } echo $alfabet[A]; Problem 1: i want to loop the alfabet array to, so now i only check for A but i want to check all indexes. What if this specifc value doesn't exist and we have to use two values? in the example bellow the values [4] and [5]... In other words, I want to do this: order all objects numericaly by the fith value of each object from the highest to the lowest, and addicionally, for those objects that have the fifht value is empty (in the examplem '-'), order them by the fourth value.   I'm trying to create an array using reflection, and insert values into it. I'm trying to do this for many different types so would like a createAndFillArray function capable of this : Type t1 = typeof(A); Type t2 = typeof(B); double exampleA = 22.5; int exampleB = 43; Array arrA = createAndFillArray(t1, exampleA); Array arrB = createAndFillArray(t2, exampleB); private Array createAndFillArray(Type t, object val){ Array arr = Array.CreateInstance( t, 1); //length 1 in this example only, real-world is of variable length. arr.SetValue( val, 0 ); //this causes the following error: "System.InvalidCastException : Object cannot be stored in an array of this type." return arr; } with the class A being as follows: public class A{ public A(){} private double val; public double Value{ get{ return val; } set{ this.val = value; } } public static implicit operator A(double d){ A a = new A(); a.Value = d; return a; } } and class B being very similar, but with int: public class B{ public B(){} private double val; public double Value{ get{ return val; } set{ this.val = value; } } public static implicit operator B(double d){ B b = new B(); b.Value = d; return b; } } I hoped that the implicit operator would have ensured that the double be converted to class A, or the int to class B, and the error avoided; but this is obviously not so. The above is used in a custom deserialization class, which takes data from a custom data format and fills in the corresponding .Net object properties. I'm doing this via reflection and at runtime, so I think both are unavoidable. I'm targeting the C# 2.0 framework. I've dozens, if not hundreds, of classes similar to A and B, so would prefer to find a solution which improved on the createAndFillArray method rather than a solution which altered these classes.

  Hi, I an trying to setup Forms Based Authentication using ASPNetSQLMembershipProvider. In 2010 Beta 2, I was able to do this in classic mode, and it worked. With the RTM, it is no longer supported under classic mode, and I must switch to Claims based Authentication. So I created a new web application, and configured everything in sharepoint to work with FBA, But I can't get it to work. Anyone managed to do this? Thanks, Itay.

  has anyone ever run into a dirty cache issue with a Equallogic SAN. Even after replacement of the controller cards in the Equallogic Storage Array fails offline with a dirty cache. However, no matter what values I enter in the fields; the result is always: array(2) { ["test"]=> string(0) "" ["action"]=> string(2) "Go" } string(16) "test=&action=Go&" Somehow, the array named test is emptied, the "action" variable does make it through. I've used the Live HTTP Headers extension for Firefox to check whether the POST fields get submitted, and they do. The relevant information from Live HTTP Headers (with a, b and c filled in as values in the textboxes): Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Content-Length: 51 test%5B1%5D=a&test%5B2%5D=b&test%5B3%5D=c&action=Go Does anybody have any idea as to why this is happening? I'm freaking out on this one, it has cost me so much time already... EDIT: We've tried this on different servers, on Windows boxes it does work, on the Ubuntu server with PHP version 5.2.4 (with Suhosin), it doesn't. It even works on a different server, also with Ubuntu and the same PHP version, also with Suhosin installed.

• Server restarted while rebuilding array, what to do?

  It's a HP ProLiant DL380 Generation 7, that has four hard drives, one is dead, I suppose that another one is dead too, but is there any way to force the array to rebuild again? The server has restarted while it was rebuilding an array. My windows server(2008) that is on it won't boot, it goes directly to system recovery screen. I have an image backup, would restoring it be my only option?If I restore, it will get back to regular automatically or will I have to configure something?

I have played with the cache settings, but nothing allows me to get the same results. It seems like the Smart Array controller is the bottleneck.

  I have a RAID 5 array, md0, with three full-disk (non-partitioned) members, sdb, sdc, and sdd. My computer will hang during the AHCI BIOS if AHCI is enabled instead of IDE, if these drives are plugged in. I believe it may be because I'm using the whole disk, and the AHCI BIOS expects an MBR to be on the drive (I don't know why it would care). Is there a way to convert the array to use members sdb1, sdc1 and sdd1, partitioned MBR with 0xFD RAID partitions?

  I'm looking for a basic web-based file management application. It must have an affordable price, and fairly easy installation would be a plus. ASP.Net / IIS based would be easiest for me to work with. Basically, I'd like it to create a secure web site where myself and a few people can exchange various types of files, etc. I'm looking for a package I can install on my own server rather than a web-based service, as I think I can get more space at a good price point this way. I could go custom coding, but I figure this is such a generic need, there must be something already mature out there at a decent price. What has worked best for you?

• Why is the JVM stack-based and the DalvikVM register based?

  I'm curious, why did Sun decide to make the JVM stack-based and Google decide to make the DalvikVM register based? I suppose the JVM can't really assume that a certain number of registers are available on the target platform, since it is supposed to be platform independent. Therefor it just postpones the register-allocation etc, to the JIT compiler. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So the Android guys thought, "hey, that's inefficient, let's go for a register based vm right away..."? But wait, there are multiple different android devices, what number of registers did the Dalvik target? Are the Dalvik opcodes hardcoded for a certain number of registers? Do all current Android devices on the market have about the same number of registers? Or, is there a register re-allocation performed during dex-loading? How does all this fit together?

• Sorting an array in PHP based on different values

  I have an array whose elements are name, reversed_name, first_initial and second_initial. A typical row is "Aaron Smith", "Smith, Aaron", "a", "s". Each row in the array has a first_initial or second_initial value of "a". I need to display the rows alphabetically but based on the "a" part, so that either the name or reversed_name will be displayed. An example output would be: Aaron Smith Abbot, Paul Adrian Jones Anita Thompson Atherton, Susan I really have no idea how to sort the array this way so any help will be much appreciated!

• Convert XCode view-based app to navigation-based app?

  Newbie question: is there an easy way to convert a view-based app to a navigation-based app? I have an existing app sample that was created as a view-based app, and need to be able to create additional viewcontrollers that can be nested. The app is currently using presentModalViewController calls and nibs to display windows. Trying to change these to pushViewController calls results in the views not being displayed. So I'm assuming it's because the pushViewController needs to use a Navigation view. Thanks in advance!

• In search of opinions on web based version control systems

  Hi. Researching various open source, web-based document management/version control systems. I've checked google/questions here, etc... I'm looking for a lightweight web-based (apache) document mgmt/version control app that runs on top of SVN. I need to have the ability to: have multiple users checkin/checkout have a workflow (when userA checks the file in, and finishes the app passes it to the next person, etc... the app needs to allow me to have a structure where the files can be moved as a group. the files will be changed on a monthly basis app needs to have a access/premission control system. some people can see certain files, and perform certain actions on the files I imagine that I'm going to have 40-50 people dealing with the different files. I imagine that I'm going to have 2000-3000 files that have to be massaged. I'd prefer that the app be php based if possible, as opposed to a straight java app. Thanks

• What Python based Dashboard options exist?

  I want to create a Dashboard on each server to show it's health and the results of some daily processing. I plan to hook up shell scripts and Python programs to collect the data. Instead of writing a web-based interface, I thought it would be good to use a python based web dashboard that could render the results in various business user and manager friendly formats. What are my options to do this? I am primarily interested in Python RedHat Linux, but other platforms are interesting too. I'm also open to Perl and Ruby based solutions especially if the plugins can be language neutral.

• geom_tile heatmap with different high fill colours based on factor

  I'm interested in building a heatmap with geom_tile in ggplot2 that uses a different gradient high color based on a factor. The plot below creates the plot where the individual tiles are colored blue or red based on the xy_type, but there is no gradient. ggplot() + geom_tile(data=mydata, aes(x=factor(myx), y=myy, fill=factor(xy_type))) + scale_fill_manual(values=c("blue", "red")) The plot below does not use the xy_type factor to choose the color, but I get a single group gradient based on the xy_avg_value. ggplot() + geom_tile(data=mydata, aes(x=factor(myx), y=myy, fill=xy_avg_value)) Is there a technique to blend these two plots? I can use a facet_grid(xy_type ~ .) to create separate plots of this data, with the gradient. As this is ultimately going to be a map (x~y coordinates), I'd like to find a way to display the different gradient together in a single geom_tile map.
