    Hello, I have a sub class that calls a method from a super class. and the method in the super class use a method that is defined in the super class as asbstract(not really abstract) but implemented in the sub class. for example: package BaseClass; sub new { } sub method1 { return someAbstractMethod(); } sub someAbtsractMethod { die "oops, this is an abstract method that should be implemented in a subclass" ; } 1; package SubClass; sub new { } sub someAbtsractMethod { print "now we implement the asbtract method"; } 1; now when I do: $sub = new SubClass(); $sub-method1(); It calls the abstract message and i get the specified error message. if I took off the abstractmethod from the super class and just leave the implementation in the subclass, It does not recognize the method and I get subroutine abstractmethod not found error.

    Hi Guy's, Im using jQuery with superfish vertical menu. My menu is positioned at the bottom of my page so the menu slides up, however, on hover of the menu items the sub items get lost at the bottom of my window.     I want to transliterate digits from 1 - 8 with 0 but not knowing the number at compile time. Since transliterations do not interpolate variables I'm doing this: @trs = (sub{die},sub{${$_[0]} =~ tr/[0,1]/[1,0]/},sub{${$_[0]} =~ tr/[0,2]/[2,0]/},sub{${$_[0]} =~ tr/[0,3]/[3,0]/},sub{${$_[0]} =~ tr/[0,4]/[4,0]/},sub{${$_[0]} =~ tr/[0,5]/[5,0]/},sub{${$_[0]} =~ tr/[0,6]/[6,0]/},sub{${$_[0]} =~ tr/[0,7]/[7,0]/},sub{${$_[0]} =~ tr/[0,8]/[8,0]/}); and then index it like: $trs[$character_to_transliterate](\$var_to_change); I would appreciate if anyone can point me to a best looking solution.

  • A MongoDB find() that matches when all $and conditions match the same sub-document?

    If I have a set of MongoDB documents like the following, what can I do to get a find() result that only returns the families who have 2 pets who all like liver? Here is what I expected to work: db.delegation.find({pets:2, $and: [{'foods.liver': true}, {'foods.allLike': true}] }) Here is the document collection: { "_id" : ObjectId("5384888e380efca06276cf5e"), "family": "smiths", "pets": 2, "foods" : [ { "name" : "chicken", "allLike" : true, }, { "name" : "liver", "allLike" : false, } ] }, { "_id" : ObjectId("4384888e380efca06276cf50"), "family": "jones", "pets": 2, "foods" : [ { "name" : "chicken", "allLike" : true, }, { "name" : "liver", "allLike" : true, } ] } What I end up getting is both families because they both have at least one food marked as true for allLike. It seems that the two conditions in the $and are true if any foods sub-document matches, but what I want is the two conditions to match for the conditions as a pair. As is, I get the Jones family back (as I want) but also Smith (which I don't). Smith gets returned because the chicken sub-doc has allLike set to true and the liver sub-doc has a name of 'liver'. The conditions are matching across separate foods sub-docs. I want them to match as a pair on a foods document. This code is not the real use case, obviously. I have one, but I've simplified it to protect the innocent...

  • Can we save image slices in sub folders in Photoshop?

    I am using Photoshop CS5, by default, Photoshop saves image slices in a folder named images. This is fine but there are lots of images, saving them all in a single folder becomes quite messy. What I would like to do in Photoshop is, it allows me to specify which sub-folder a slice should go under the default images folder. For example, a website template PSD file, I would like to save image slices that appear in the header under images\header\. Maybe for the images in the footer, they should go images\footer\. Of course, I can group them manually after the slices are extracted. If possible, I would like to define them in Photoshop, so that every time the image slices are extracted, they each go to the specified sub-folder automatically. Is this possible in Photoshop?

  • Need help setting up a truststore's chain of authority (in Tomcat)

    Lead in ... I'm not an expert, by far, in application security via SSL, but am trying to establish a test environment that includes all possible scenarios we may encounter in production. For this I have a tree of Certificate Authorities (CAs) that are the issuers of an assortment of test client certificates, and node/server certificates (complex test environment representing the various published web services and other applications we integrate with). The structure of these CAs are as follows: Root CA, which has signed/issued Sub CA1, Sub CA2, and Sub CA3. These subs have then signed/issued all certificates of those various nodes and clients in the environment. Now for the question .... In my application's truststore I would like to trust everything signed by Sub CA1, and Sub CA2, but not Sub CA3 (untrusted). Does this mean my truststore should (1) ONLY include Sub CA1 and Sub CA2, or (2) should it include Root CA, Sub CA1, and Sub CA2? I don't know what is the proper way to represent this trust chain in a truststore. In the future I would also like to add a Sub CA4 (also signed/issued by the Root CA), but add that to a Certificate Revocation List (CRL) for testing purposes.     Hi everyone, I have a popup menu which contains several menu items and one of them can have child items. This entry has a little arrow on the right and when you hover your mouse over it, a sub-menu will open. Now I want to populate this sub-menu at runtime, but only if the user actually opens it. If the user never opens the sub-menu, it will be empty (maybe contain a placeholder). How could I accomplish this? Is it even possible to modify a popup-menu when it is already visible?     I need to send some files from different machines to only one Server. As I understand, I can use JMS api + (for example) ActiveMQ as broker. There are two models: p2p and pub/sub. I would like to use pub/sub model, but the problem is that I haven`t few subscribers, I have only one Subscriber(Server) and many Publishers. The question is the following: can I use pub/sub model for my situation and How can I send files from different machines to Only One Topic, on that Server sibscribed? May be any other ideas, thanks a lot.

  • Using dispatchertimer in combination with an asynchroneous call

We have an issue in our Silverlight application which uses WCF and Entity Framework, where we need to trap the event whenever a user shuts down the application by closing the web page or the browser instead of closing the silverlight application. This is in order to verify if any changes have been made, in which case we would ask the user if he wants to save before leaving. We were able to accomplish the part which consists in trapping the closing of the web page: we wrote some code in the application object that have the web page call a method in the silverlight application object. The problem starts when in this method, we do an asynchroneous call to the Web Service to verify if changes have occured (IsDirty). We are using a DispatcherTimer to check for the return of the asynchroneous call. The problem is that the asynchroneous call never completes (in debug mode, it never ends up stepping into the _BfrServ_Customer_IsDirtyCompleted method), while it used to work fine before we added this new functionality. You will find belowthe code we are using. I am new to writing timers in combination with asynchroneous call so I may be doing something wrong but I cannot figure out what.   • Code that Worked with MultiView fails with Wizard ASP.NET

    I originally created a process that occurred by transitioning between views in a multiview and it worked fine. Now, I've moved this same code into a ASP.NET Wizard and it keeps throwing an error at the second step.   • Why does vbkeyup produce different results than vbkeydown does in this Code.

    I have a VB6 app. It consists of a flexgrid. I have code to allow the user to press the up or down arrow key to switch rows in the grid. When the down arrow key is pressed the cursor is placed at the end of the text in the next row, but when the Up arrow key is pressed the cursor is placed in the middle of the text of the previous row. Anybody have any explantion for this.   • jquery selecting all last elements of an nested tree menu unordered list...not just the :last-child.

    I'm having some trouble figuring this out. I have an unordered list menu that I want to style all the last elements with a folder icon and style all the expandable (parent) elements with a plus.gif image. I wanted to simply change the class by using .addclass() using jquery, which will contain the css to add the background-image. My jquery code below is only selecting the ":last-child", which is placing a folder icon on the last element in the list. i need to place a folder icon in front of all the "li's" that don't hav any children, and place a plus icon in front of all those that do have children. Is there a way to accomplish this?     I am having an e-commerce site and current URL structure is like this: www.example.com/category1 [Category landing page] www.example.com/category1/sub-category [sub-category listing page] www.example.com/category1/sub-category/product-name [Product Details page] I am finding it difficult to identify from the URLs whether the URL is category landing page or a listing page or a product details page (primarily in Google Analytics). To solve this problem, I am thinking of adding qualifiers in the URL as follows: www.example.com/category1/cat-land [Category landing page] www.example.com/category1/sub-category/cat-list [sub-category listing page] www.example.com/category1/sub-category/product-name/prod-details [Product Details page] Original URLs would be redirected to new URLs using 301 permanent redirect.   • Computation overhead in C# - Using getters/setters vs. modifying arrays directly and casting speeds

    I was going to write a long-winded post, but I'll boil it down here: I'm trying to emulate the graphical old-school style of the NES via XNA. However, my FPS is SLOW, trying to modify 65K pixels per frame. If I just loop through all 65K pixels and set them to some arbitrary color, I get 64FPS. The code I made to look-up what colors should be placed where, I get 1FPS. I think it is because of my object-orented code. Right now, I have things divided into about six classes, with getters/setters. I'm guessing that I'm at least calling 360K getters per frame, which I think is a lot of overhead. Each class contains either/and-or 1D or 2D arrays containing custom enumerations, int, Color, or Vector2D, bytes. What if I combined all of the classes into just one, and accessed the contents of each array directly? The code would look a mess, and ditch the concepts of object-oriented coding, but the speed might be much faster. I'm also not concerned about access violations, as any attempts to get/set the data in the arrays will done in blocks. E.g., all writing to arrays will take place before any data is accessed from them. As for casting, I stated that I'm using custom enumerations, int, Color, and Vector2D, bytes. Which data types are fastest to use and access in the .net Framework, XNA, XBox, C#? I think that constant casting might be a cause of slowdown here. Also, instead of using math to figure out which indexes data should be placed in, I've used precomputed lookup tables so I don't have to use constant multiplication, addition, subtraction, division per frame. :)

    I'm pretty new to Java, so I'm hoping one of you guys knows how to do this. I'm having the user specify both the type and value of arguments, in any XML-like way, to be passed to methods that are external to my application. Example: javac myAppsName externalJavaClass methodofExternalClass [parameters] Of course, to find the proper method, we have to have the proper parameter types as the method may be overloaded and that's the only way to tell the difference between the different versions. Parameters are currently formatted in this manner: (type)value(/type), e.g. (int)71(/int) (string)This is my string that I'm passing as a parameter!(/string) I parse them, getting the constructor for whatever type is indicated, then execute that constructor by running its method, newInstance(<String value>), loading the new instance into an Object. This works fine and dandy, but as we all know, some methods take arrays, or even multi-dimensional arrays. I could handle the argument formatting like so: (array)(array)(int)0(/int)(int)1(/int)(/array)(array)(int)2(/int)(int)3(/int)(/array)(/array)... or perhaps even better... {{(int)0(/int)(int)1(/int)}{(int)2(/int)(int)3(/int)}}. The question is, how can this be implemented? Do I have to start wrapping everything in an Object[] array so I can handle primitives, etc. as argObj[0], but load an array as I normally would? (Unfortunately, I would have to make it an Object[][] array if I wanted to support two-dimensional arrays. This implementation wouldn't be very pretty.)

From the main window I can launch sub-windows, but in these sub-windows I can't seem to access the data I collected in the main window. How can I access this data?   • Apache vhosts config: Host Name instead of IP Address

    I have a domain (example.com) hosted at an external provider. I directed the subdomain sub.example.com to my ubuntu server (12.04 with apache2). On my ubuntu server I have a vhost setup like this. The rest of the config is basically apache 2 standard: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName sub.example.com ServerAlias sub.example.com ServerAdmin [email protected] DocumentRoot /var/www/sub.example.com ErrorLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/error.log # Possible values include: debug, info, notice, warn, error, crit, # alert, emerg. LogLevel warn CustomLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/access.log combined WSGIScriptAlias / /home/application/sub.example.com/wsgi.py <Directory /home/application/sub.example.com> <Files wsgi.py> Order allow,deny Allow from all </Files> </Directory> </VirtualHost> When I enter http://sub.example.com in my browser my application shows up fine. But the domain is replaced by the IP address of my server. Do I have to configure my server somewhere else to deliver all its content under my domain sub.example.com?
