    Sometimes, when running a Mono .NET application (it seems to not depend on the input data, as it does not change), I run into following situation: when trying to Dequeue an element from a (non-empty, I check its Count beforehand) Queue, an exception is thrown: Unhandled Exception: System.InvalidOperationException: Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object at System.Collections.Generic.Queue1[DBWorkItem].Peek ()[0x00000] at System.Collections.Generic.Queue1[DBWorkItem].Dequeue () [0x00000] at DBProcessor.process (System.Object q) [0x0006b] in <... Though I can certainly catch this exception, the element is dequeued and lost. Has anyone else encountered this behavior, too?

  • PHP MVC Framework Structure

    I am sorry about the amount of code here. I have tried to show enough for understanding while avoiding confusion (I hope). I have included a second copy of the code at Pastebin. (The code does execute without error/notice/warning.) I am currently creating a Content Management System while trying to implement the idea of Model View Controller. I have only recently come across the concept of MVC (within the last week) and trying to implement this into my current project. One of the features of the CMS is dynamic/customisable menu areas and each feature will be represented by a controller. Therefore there will be multiple versions of the Controller Class, each with specific extended functionality. I have looked at a number of tutorials and read some open source solutions to the MVC Framework. I am now trying to create a lightweight solution for my specific requirements. I am not interested in backwards compatibility, I am using PHP 5.3. An advantage of the Base class is not having to use global and can directly access any loaded class using $this->Obj['ClassName']->property/function();. Hoping to get some feedback using the basic structure outlined (with performance in mind). Specifically; a) Have I understood/implemented the concept of MVC correctly? b) Have I understood/implemented Object Orientated techniques with PHP 5 correctly? c) Should the class propertise of Base be static? d) Improvements?   • Recording object method calls to generate automated test.

    I have an object with large interface and I would like to record all its method calls done during a user session. Ideally this sequence of calls would be available as source code: myobj.MethodA(42); myobj.MethodB("spam", false); ... I would then convert this code to a test case to have a kind of automated smoke/load test. WCF Load Test can do this for WCF services and CodedUI test recorder can do this for UIs. What are my options for a POCO class? I am in position to edit application code and replace the object in question with some recording/forwarding proxy.

Can someone give me an explanation with some mapping examples(one to many, one to one, many to one) please? Defines a single-valued association to another entity that has one-to-one multiplicity. It is not normally necessary to specify the associated target entity explicitly since it can usually be inferred from the type of the object being referenced. If the relationship is bidirectional, the non-owning side must use the mappedBy element of the OneToOne annotation to specify the relationship field or property of the owning side.

  • My object becomes NSCFArray when running on iPhone

    I'm really scratching my head on this one: I have an object (MyObject) which I instantiate, and this object has an NSArray member variable. The following simple code working in the sim: MyObject *myObj = [[MyObject alloc] init]; NSArray *arr = [myObj myMemberArray]; When I hover over myObj in XCode the tooltip reads "MyObject". Good! But when I debug it on the device (OS 3.1.3) I get: "[NSCFArray myMemberArray]: unrecognized selector sent to instance ... " When I hover over myObj, sure enough it reads "NSCFArray". Can anyone give me some pointers on where to go next with this? Thanks.

  • Reverting CoreData data

    I have an NSTableView which is populated via a CoreData-backed NSArrayController. Users are able to edit any field they choose within the NSTableView. When they select the rows that they have modified and press a button, the data is sent to a third-party webservice. Provided the webservice accepts the updated values, I want to commit those values to my persistent store. If, however, the webservice returns an error (or simply fails to return), I want the edited fields to revert to their original values. To complicate matters, I have a number of other editable controls, backed by CoreData, which do not need to resort to this behaviour. I believe the solution to this problem revolves around the creation of a secondary Managed Object context, which I would use only for values edited within that particularly NSTableView. But I'm confused as to how the two MOC would interact with each other. What's the best solution to this problem?

  • Using multiple SWF Object - Flash doesn't focus on rollover

    I've got a page with multiple embeds of Flash objects, including dynamically created graphs. I'm including them all with SWF Object JS declared in the header. It works fine in the fact that all are loaded. But, for some reason when you move down on the page (so they're out of view) and back, or click on another object it no longer has focus when you're rolling over. I.e. I have a flash menu that moves on rollover. When you go down the page, click on something, then go back up it no longer response to rollover. I've seen bits on here and elsewhere about losing focus in Firefox (which is the browser Im using - i havent managed to find this bug in IE) but it's talking about literally not being able to type or whatever, when you click on it. This is on rollover. Has anyone got any advice or thoughts on this subject?

    I have a SqlCommand object on my c# based asp.net page. The SQL and the passed parameters are working the majority of the time. I have one case that is not working, I get the following error: String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated. I understand the error and but all the columns in the database should be long enough to hold everything being sent. My questions, Is there a way to see what the actual SQL being sent to the database is from SqlCommand object? I would like to be able to email the SQL when an error occurs. Thanks, Justin

    I've got a parent-child OO relationship. Parent obejcts has many child objects and every child object knows about it's parent by reference. The parent can be a child too (basically its a tree). When i do a var_dump() on the root object it says ["parent"]=RECURSION many times and the generated description will be really long. I'm wondering if i do something wrong. If yes, i'm interested in the "best practice". Thanks for the help!

Lets say: var haystack = { foo: {value: "fooooo"}, bar: {value: "baaaaa"} }; Now, I want to access one of those properties, but I don't know which one. Luckily, this variable does: var needle = "foo"; In modern browsers I seem to be able to do the following and it works: haystack[needle].value; # returns "fooooo" But in IE6 it throws a wobbly, haystack[...] is null or not an object. Is there a way to achieve what I'm trying to achieve in IE6? If so, how so?

    Hi have setup a sample application using a UITableView. Initially I did this by conforming my controller to and , added a tableView in IB and connected "datasource" & "delegate" to Files Owner. It all works so thats good. What I have been trying out is creating my own class for the delegate. I created a new class and added and , but quickly found I could not connect the tableViewdataSource / delegate. To solve this I added an "Object" (NSObject) in IB and set it to my new class. I then connected the dataSource and delegate outlets to this object. It sort of works, the app runs and displays the tableView, but when I try and scroll the table the app crashes. Can I ask if I am going about this the right way? gary

    Hi Another Day, another CoreData problem,...but hopefully the last one now. Ok here is a copy of what I have : I have a List of Hotel Guests that stay in one Room and have Preferences. Once ready the user should select a guest and see the data and should also be able to add new guest, select the room (maintained also by application) and select their preferences (where the user can also add new preferences). The guest can have no or many preferences. So here is what I have so far. I created 3 Entities : - Rooms with roomnumber - Preferences with name - GuestInfo with name - with these Relationships room (Destination Rooms) and prefs (Destination Preferences with "To-Many Relationship") The prefs is a NSSet when you create a Managed Object Class. Now I created a UITableViewController to display all the data. I also have an edit and add mode. When I add a new Guest and just fill out the name, everything works fine. But when I want to add the prefs or the room number I get this error : Illegal attempt to establish a relationship 'room' between objects in different contexts Now, what confuses me is that when I add a guest and enter just the name, save it, go back and edit it and select the prefs and room number it works ? I have this line in both ViewControllers to select the room or prefs : [editedObject setValue:selectedRoom forKey:editedFieldKey]; with this .h : NSManagedObject *editedObject; NSString *editedFieldKey; NSString *editedFieldName; Again, it works on the editing mode but not when I want to add a fresh object.     I'm trying to check if json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA']['first_0'] exists or not when in some instances json[0]['DATA']['name'] contains nothing. I can check json[0]['DATA']['name'] using if (json[0]['DATA']['name'] == '') { // DOES NOT EXIST } however if (json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA']['first_0'] == '' || json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA']['first_0'] == 'undefined') { // DOES NOT EXIST } returns json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA'] is null or not an object. I understand this is because the array 'name' doesn't contain anything in this case, but in other cases first_0 does exist and json[0]['DATA']['name'] does return a value. Is there a way that I can check json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA']['first_0'] directly without having to do the following? if (json[0]['DATA']['name'] == '') { if (json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA']['first_0'] != 'undefined') { // OBJECT EXISTS } }

  • Accessing the Identity object in a MVC repository

    Hi, I have a pretty generic repository that does basic CRUD for many of my business entities. The entities enherit form a generic object that has a few fields I maintain for all objects. eg. ModifiedBy, CreatedBy, CreatedDate, ModifiedDate. These fields ModifiedBy and CreatedBy will always be set before any update/save. My questions is: Is there any way to gain access to the Identity object from my MVC web application in my repositories? I was hoping to set the modifiedby to the identity user for any update in one shot?? Best Regard, Rod
