• How to schedule dynamic function with cron job?

  I want to know how I can schedule a dynamic(auto populated data) function to auto run everyday at saved time? Let's say I have a form that once the button is clicked it sends the data to the function, which the posts the data.   Hello, I just got a Droid, and after having used it for a while, I felt like I wanted to make a program for it. The program that I am trying to make calculates the actual storage capacity of secondary storage mediums. The user select from a list of units that ranges from KB to YB and the size the entered gets put into a formula depending on the chosen unit. However, there is a bit of a problem with the program. From my testing, I have narrowed it down to the fact that the user's selection is not really being obtained from the spinner. Everything I look up seems to point me to a method quite similar to how it works in J2SE, but it does nothing. How am I actually supposed to get that data?   I have a css horizontal menu with a menu / submenu display working on the hover, but I would also like to make the submenu options stay put when I've selected that page. The code below shows the submenu on hover, but goes away on mouse out. I'm having some difficulty figuring out how to make my code work to keep the submenu items staying put? How can I do this? • AIDL based two way communication

  I have two apps between which I want some data exchanged. As they are running in different processes, so, I am using AIDL to communicate between them. Now, everything is happening really great in one direction (say my apps are A and B) i.e. data is being sent from A to B but, now I need to send some data from B to A. I noticed that we need to include the app with the AIDL in the build path of app where the AIDL method will be called. So in my case A includes B in its build path. For B to be able to send something to A, by that logic, B would need A in its build path. This would create a cycle. I am stuck at this point. And I cannot think of a work around this loop. Any help would be greatly appreciated :) . • How to allow multiple filters to be selected - pagination?

  Hey, I am still trying to allow multiple filters to be selected for my pagination script but not sure how to do it being very new to php and programing in general. So in my pagination, when a user clicks the 'marketing' button(link) it queries the database just for the category that = marketing. The same goes for the other 2 filter buttons as seen in the script below. (automotive, sports). The problem is, I want to be able to select multiple filters like only marketing and auomotive or automotive and sports, for example if I click the marketing filter and then the automotive, it would display the categories that equal marketing, and automotive. I have no idea how to accomplish this, so I have come to the experts to help me out. • Setting hidden input value in Javascript, then accessing it in c# codebehind

  Thank you for reading my question. I have been trying to set the value of a hidden input by using Javascript and then access the value from within my C# codebehind. When I run the code that is copied below, the value that is assigned to assignedIDs is "", which I assume is the default value for a hidden input. If I manually set the value in the html tag, then assignedIDs is set to that value. This behavior suggests to me that the value of the input is being reset (re-rendered?) between the onClientClick and onClick events firing. I would appreciate any help with the matter. • Qthread - trouble shutting down threads

  For the last few days, I've been trying out the new preferred approach for using QThreads without subclassing QThread. The trouble I'm having is when I try to shutdown a set of threads that I created. I regularly get a "Destroyed while thread is still running" message (if I'm running in Debug mode, I also get a Segmentation Fault dialog). My code is very simple, and I've tried to follow the examples that I've been able to find on the internet. My basic setup is as follows: I've a simple class that I want to run in a separate thread; in fact, I want to run 5 instances of this class, each in a separate thread. I have a simple dialog with a button to start each thread, and a button to stop each thread (10 buttons). When I click one of the "start" buttons, a new instance of the test class is created, a new QThread is created, a movetothread is called to get the test class object to the thread...also, since I have a couple of other members in the test class that need to move to the thread, I call movetothread a few additional times with these other items. Note that one of these items is a QUdpSocket, and although this may not make sense, I wanted to make sure that sockets could be moved to a separate thread in this fashion...I haven't tested the use of the socket in the thread at this point. Starting of the threads all seem to work fine. When I use the linux top command to see if the threads are created and running, they show up as expected. The problem occurs when I begin stopping the threads. I randomly (or it appears to be random) get the error described above. • CSS: Horizontal UL: Getting it centered

  I'm trying to make a horizontal menu/list. It has a mix of independent buttons and buttons that are wrapped in their own individual forms. With much hacking I got all of the buttons, in forms and not in forms to align horizontally. I haven't been able to get the whole thing to center on the page though. • Rogue PropertyChanged notifications from ViewModel

  The following simple program is causing me a Databinding headache. I'm new to this which is why I suspect it has a simple answer. Basically, I have two text boxes bound to the same property myString. I have not set up the ViewModel (simply a class with one property, myString) to provide any notifications to the View for when myString is changed, so even although both text boxes operate a two way binding there should be no way that the text boxes update when myString is changed, am I right? Except... In most circumstances this is true - I use the 'change value' button at the bottom of the window to change the value of myString to whatever the user types into the adjacent text box, and the two text boxes at the top, even although they are bound to myString, do not change. Fine. However, if I edit the text in TextBox1, thus changing the value of myString (although only when the text box loses focus due to the default UpdateSourceTrigger property, see reference), TextBox2 should NOT update as it shouldn't receive any updates that myString has changed. However, as soon as TextBox1 loses focus (say click inside TextBox2) TextBox2 is updated with the new value of myString. My best guess so far is that because the TextBoxes are bound to the same property, something to do with TextBox1 updating myString gives TextBox2 a notification that it has changed. Very confusing as I haven't used INotifyPropertyChanged or anything like that. To clarify, I am not asking how to fix this. I know I could just change the binding mode to a oneway option. I am wondering if anyone can come up with an explanation for this strange behaviour? • Setting hidden input value in Javascript, then accessing it in codebehind

  I have been trying to set the value of a hidden input by using Javascript and then access the value from within my C# codebehind. When I run the code that is copied below, the value that is assigned to assignedIDs is "", which I assume is the default value for a hidden input. If I manually set the value in the html tag, then assignedIDs is set to that value. This behavior suggests to me that the value of the input is being reset (re-rendered?) between the onClientClick and onClick events firing. I would appreciate any help with the matter. • how to add multiple filters to pagination?

  Hey, I am trying to allow multiple filters to be selected for my pagination script. So in my pagination, when a user clicks the 'marketing' button(link) it queries the database just for the category that = marketing. The same goes for the other 2 filter buttons as seen in the script below. (automotive, sports). The problem is, I want to be able to select multiple filters like only marketing and auomotive or automotive and sports, for example if I click the marketing filter and then the automotive, it would display the categories that equal marketing, and automotive. I have no idea how to accomplish this, so I have come to the experts to help me out. • How can I hit my database with an AJAX call using javascript?

  I am pretty new at this stuff, so bear with me. I am using ASP.NET MVC. I have created an overlay to cover the page when someone clicks a button corresponding to a certain database entry. Because of this, ALL of my code for this functionality is in a .js file contained within my project. What I need to do is pull the info corresponding to my entry from the database itself using an AJAX call, and place that into my textboxes. Then, after the end-user has made the desired changes, I need to update that entry's values to match the input. I've been surfing the web for a while, and have failed to find an example that fits my needs effectively. • Socket php server not showing messages sent from android client

  Hi I am a newbie in these kind of stuff but here's what i want to do. I am trying to implement a chat application in which users will send their queries from the website and as soon as the messages are sent by the website users.It will appear in the android mobile application of the site owner who will answer their queries .In short I wanna implement a live chat. Now right now I am just simply trying to send messages from android app to php server. But when I run my php script from dreamweaver in chrome the browser keeps on loading and doesn't shows any output when I send message from the client. Sometimes it happened that the php script showed some outputs which I have sent from the android(client).But i don't know when it works and when it does not. So I want to show those messages in the php script as soon as I send those messages from client and vice versa(did not implemented the vice versa for client but help will be appreciated).   Hello, I am trying to learn how to write cookies to keep the data in my CookieButton1 button persistent and to survive refreshes and page reloads. How can I do this in JavaScript? I have supplied my source code. Any advise, links or tutorials will be very helpful. If you navigate to http://iqlusion.net/test.html and click on Empty1, it will start to ask you questions. When finished it stores everything into CookieButton1. But when I refresh my browser the data resets and goes away.   Hello, I have two select list boxes and i can move items back and forth between them using the forward (--) and backward (<--) button. However, if there are no items in a select list, it shrinks in size horizontally. Any way to keep the select list a fixed size, irrespective of whether it contains any options or not ? So far I have tried to follow what I found on this link but I get a target.getAttribute is not a function error in my ui.datepicker.js script. Anyone who has done it succesfully?
