  • Loading Unmanaged C++ in C#. Error Attempted to read or write protected memory

    - by Thatoneguy
    I have a C++ function that looks like this __declspec(dllexport) int ___stdcall RegisterPerson(char const * const szName) { std::string copyName( szName ); // Assign name to a google protocol buffer object // Psuedo code follows.. Protobuf::Person person; person->set_name(copyName); // Error Occurs here... std::cerr << person->DebugString() << std::endl; } The corresponding C# code looks like this... [DllImport(@"MyLibrary.dll", SetLastError = true)] public static unsafe extern int RegisterPerson([MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.LPTStr)]string szName) Not sure why this is not working. My C++ library is compiled as Multi Threaded DLL with MultiByte encoding. Any help would be appreciated. I saw this is a common problem online but no answers lead me to a solution for my problem.

  • I get an "EXC_BAD_ACCESS" when I try to read a NSString...

    - by micropsari
    Hello ! This is a (very) simplified version of my iPhone code : @interface x { NSString * name1; NSString * name2; } -init { name1 = @""; name2 = @""; } -(void) a { name1 = @"uhuh"; name2 = [foo bar]; // return a (NSString *) } -(void) b { NSLog(@"%@", name1); // it works NSLog(@"%@", name2); // there I get an EXC_BAD_ACCESS... } Why I have this problem ? And how can I solve it ? Thanks !

  • R: How to write out a data.frame so that I can paste it into SO for others to read?

    - by John
    I have a large data.frame displaying some weird properties when plotted. I'd like to ask a question about it on Stackoverflow, to do that I'd like to write the data.frame out in a form that I can paste it into SO and somebody else can easily run it and have it back into a data.frame object again. Is there an easy way to accomplish this? Also, if it is really long, should I use paste bin instead of directly paste it here?

  • How to read arbitrary number of values using std::copy?

    - by Miro Kropacek
    Hi, I'm trying to code opposite action to this: std::ostream outs; // properly initialized of course std::set<int> my_set; // ditto outs << my_set.size(); std::copy( my_set.begin(), my_set.end(), std::ostream_iterator<int>( outs ) ); it should be something like this: std::istream ins; std::set<int>::size_type size; ins >> size; std::copy( std::istream_iterator<int>( ins ), std::istream_iterator<int>( ins ) ???, std::inserter( my_set, my_set.end() ) ); But I'm stuck with the 'end' iterator -- input interators can't use std::advance and neither I can use two streams with the same source... Is there any elegant way how to solve this? Of course I can use for loop, but maybe there's something nicer :)

  • PHP Session doesn't get read in next page after login validation, Why?

    - by NetStar
    I have a web site and when my users login it takes them to verify.php (where it connects to the DataBase and matches email and password to the user input and if OK puts client data into sessions and take the client to /memberarea/index.php ELSE back to login page with message "Invalid Email or password!") <?php ob_start(); session_start(); $email=$_POST['email']; $pass=md5($_POST['pass']); include("conn.php"); // connects to Database $sql="SELECT * FROM `user` WHERE email='$email' AND pass='$pass'"; $result=mysql_query($sql); $new=mysql_fetch_array($result); $_SESSION['fname']=$new['fname']; $_SESSION['lname']=$new['lname']; $_SESSION['email1']=$new['email1']; $_SESSION['passwrd']=$new['passwrd']; $no=mysql_num_rows($result); if ($no==1){ header('Location:memberarea/index.php'); }else { header("Location:login.php?m=$msg"); //msg="Invalid Login" } ?> then after email id and password is verified it takes them to ` /memberarea/index.php (This is where the problem happens.) where in index.php it checks if a session has been created in-order to block hackers to enter member area and sends them back to the login page. <? session_start(); isset($_SESSION['email'])` && `isset($_SESSION['passwrd'])` The problem is the client gets verified in verify.php (the code is above) In varify.php only after I put ob_start(); ontop of session_start(); It moves on to /memberarea/index.php , If I remove ob_start() It keeps the client on the verify.php page and displays error header is alredy SENT. after I put ob_start() it goes in to /memberarea/index.php but the session is blank, so it goes back to the login page and displays the error ($msg) "Invalid Login" which I programed to display. Can anyone tell me why the session cant pass values from verify.php to /memberarea/index.php

  • How can I read and parse chunks of data into a Perl hash of arrays?

    - by neversaint
    I have data that looks like this: #info #info2 1:SRX004541 Submitter: UT-MGS, UT-MGS Study: Glossina morsitans transcript sequencing project(SRP000741) Sample: Glossina morsitans(SRS002835) Instrument: Illumina Genome Analyzer Total: 1 run, 8.3M spots, 299.9M bases Run #1: SRR016086, 8330172 spots, 299886192 bases 2:SRX004540 Submitter: UT-MGS Study: Anopheles stephensi transcript sequencing project(SRP000747) Sample: Anopheles stephensi(SRS002864) Instrument: Solexa 1G Genome Analyzer Total: 1 run, 8.4M spots, 401M bases Run #1: SRR017875, 8354743 spots, 401027664 bases 3:SRX002521 Submitter: UT-MGS Study: Massive transcriptional start site mapping of human cells under hypoxic conditions.(SRP000403) Sample: Human DLD-1 tissue culture cell line(SRS001843) Instrument: Solexa 1G Genome Analyzer Total: 6 runs, 27.1M spots, 977M bases Run #1: SRR013356, 4801519 spots, 172854684 bases Run #2: SRR013357, 3603355 spots, 129720780 bases Run #3: SRR013358, 3459692 spots, 124548912 bases Run #4: SRR013360, 5219342 spots, 187896312 bases Run #5: SRR013361, 5140152 spots, 185045472 bases Run #6: SRR013370, 4916054 spots, 176977944 bases What I want to do is to create a hash of array with first line of each chunk as keys and SR## part of lines with "^Run" as its array member: $VAR = { 'SRX004541' => ['SRR016086'], # etc } But why my construct doesn't work. And it must be a better way to do it. use Data::Dumper; my %bighash; my $head = ""; my @temp = (); while ( <> ) { chomp; next if (/^\#/); if ( /^\d{1,2}:(\w+)/ ) { print "$1\n"; $head = $1; } elsif (/^Run \#\d+: (\w+),.*/){ print "\t$1\n"; push @temp, $1; } elsif (/^$/) { push @{$bighash{$head}}, [@temp]; @temp =(); } } print Dumper \%bighash ;

  • How to read & write contents of a div from localstorage in chrome extensions?

    - by Minas Abovyan
    I am trying to build an extension that will allow users to put some parameters into a text box in the popup, generate a link using that information and add it to the said popup. I have all that working, but needless to say, it gets flushed every time the user opens the extension anew. I'd like the info that has been put in there to stay, but can't seem to get it to work. Here's what I have thus far: manifest.json { "manifest_version": 2, "name": "Test", "description": "Test Extension", "version": "1.0", "permissions": [ "http://*/*", "https://*/*" ], "browser_action": { "default_title": "This is a test", "default_popup": "popup.html" } } popup.html <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> </head> <body> <div id="linkContainer"/> <input type="text" id="catsList"/> <button type="button" id="addToList">Add</button> <script src="popup.js"></script> </body> </html> popup.js function addCats() { var a = document.createElement('a'); a.appendChild(document.createTextNode(document.getElementById('catsList').value)); a.setAttribute('href', 'http://google.com'); var p = document.createElement('p'); p.appendChild(a) document.getElementById('linkContainer').appendChild(p); indexLinks() } function indexLinks() { var links = document.getElementsByTagName("a"); for (var i = 0; i < links.length; i++) { (function () { var ln = links[i]; var location = ln.href; ln.onclick = function () { chrome.tabs.create({active: true, url: location}); }; })(); } }; document.getElementById('addToList').onclick = addCats; My guess is that I need something along the lines of localStorage['cointainer'] = document.getElementById('linkContainer'); at the end of addCats() and a call to something like function loadLocalStorage() { var container = document.getElementById('linkContainer'); container.innerHTML = localStorage['container']; } at the beginning, but doing that didn't work. Not sure what's going wrong. Also,if there is a different way to save users' additions, I'd be open to them.

  • How can I read out the CSS text via Javascript as defined in the stylesheet?

    - by Monokai
    I was thinking of using Javascript to automatically transform CSS3 attributes like border-radius, transform, box-shadow, etc. to their browser specific counterparts. I did some research and found that you can iterate over the stylesheets defined via document.styleSheets. You can find the CSS rules via document.styleSheets[0].cssRules[0].cssText. I want to modify the CSS rules that contain CSS3 attributes by injecting the browser specific attributes with the appropriate vendor-prefix, like -webkit-border-radius, moz-border-radius, etc. However, it seems that the cssText property is preprocessed in each browser, to filter out CSS attributes that it doesn't understand. That practically breaks this idea. Question: is there any way to retrieve the CSS text exactly as defined in the stylesheet? Or: is there another way to accomplish this via Javascript? I'd like to maintain clean CSS files without the need for defining each attribute multiple times for each specific browser.

  • Is Android (read typical devices) fast enough for a game that requires plotting pixel by pixel rather than blitting

    - by mP
    i have an idea for an Android game which is a little different from the typical game that usually moves sprites(bitmaps) around the screen. Id want to plot lots of little pixels to create my visuals. PROS no bitmaps required pixel plotting of stuff like "fire" can react to wind. no need to scale bitmaps, works w/ any screen res (lets pretend device can handle more drawing because its got a bigger screen). CONS slower to plot pixels than blit bitmaps need lot of animation frames. WISHES id like to update my game in real time, more is better 30fps is good but not essential, 15fps is enough. PERFORMANCE Q... Is the typical Android device fast enough to plot say half a screenful of pixels w/ a default background ? if full screen is not practical what window size should be able to handle such refreshes

  • How difficult is it to write our own Robots API, similar to G Wave Robots API ? Please read the deta

    - by user169650
    Consider the following entities : a) My own Wave-server b) My own Robots API c) Tomcat d) Google wave server/any other wave server Let us consider that a and d interact with one another via Google wave federation protocol. Now, I want to write my own Robots API in Java (similar to that of G Wave Robots API) using which I want to create Robots; which I want to host in entity c), which may in-turn connect to a) for listening to events and responding with operations. Let us consider that a) is already in place, i.e. implemented. Let us also consider that the Robot running on tomcat and entity a) are co-located, so that we do not need to use JSON-RPC for receiving events/sending operations; instead we can use Java interfaces. Now, my questions are : 1.How much of an effort is it to write my own Robots API to run on a tomcat container ? 2.What are the salient points to be taken care of ? Am I missing some important point here ? 3.How can I reuse some of the classes/packages/interfaces (e.g. com.google.wave.api.AbstractRobot, com.google.wave.api.event) with little/no changes at all ?

  • Read/Write on Plist file without using the iPhone SImulator?

    - by Silent
    Hello all, i am using an example from the iphone developer book from apress. the problem is that this example only works on the simulator im trying to figure out how i can make it work on the device. This chapter isn't working at all. below is the sample code. data.plist is located in the resource folder. NSArray *paths = NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains(NSDocumentDirectory, NSUserDomainMask, YES); NSString *documentsDirectory = [paths objectAtIndex:0]; return [documentsDirectory stringByAppendingPathComponent:kFilename]; Below then checks to see if the file is located. this is skipped, so im guessing this does not find the file. if ([[NSFileManager defaultManager]fileExistsAtPath:filePath]) { NSArray *array = [[NSArray alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:filePath]; BGDataSave = [array objectAtIndex:0]; NSLog(@"%@", BGDataSave); price.text = [array objectAtIndex:1]; percent.text = [array objectAtIndex:2]; salepriceLabel.text = [array objectAtIndex:3]; origpriceLabel.text = [array objectAtIndex:4]; }

  • Best practice for avoiding locks on a heavily read table?

    - by Luiggi
    Hi, I have a big database (~4GB), with 2 large tables (~3M records) having ~180K SELECTs/hour, ~2k UPDATEs/hour and ~1k INSERTs+DELETEs/hour. What would be the best practice to guarantee no locks for the reading tasks while inserting/updating/deleting? I was thinking about using a NOLOCK hint, but there is so much discussed about this (is good, is bad, it depends) that I'm a bit lost. I must say I've tried this in a dev environment and I didn't find any problems, but I don't want to put it on production until I get some feedback... Thank you! Luiggi

  • Read from values from hidden field values in Jquery?

    - by James123
    Last two nights I am struggle with below code. The problem is I need to remember expanded (or) collapsed toggles sections and on page reload I have show them as is expanded (or) collapsed. $(function() { $('tr.subCategory') .css("cursor", "pointer") .attr("title", "Click to expand/collapse") .click(function() { $(this).siblings('.RegText').toggle(); }); $('tr[@class^=RegText]').hide().children('td'); }) I found small solution in another forum like this. Storing ".subCategory" id values in hidden field in commas-seperated values. In Asp.net page: <input id="myVisibleRows" type="hidden" value="<% response.write(myVisibleRowsSavedValue) %" /> In .js: var idsStr = $(#myVisibleRows).val(); Now My question is: How to store multiple values (.subCategory id) in hidden field when I click on toggle?. also How to parse them back and iterate them get ids and show toggles?. I am very very new to jQuery. Please some one help me out from this.
