Hello guys, I'm trying to put some style in the input=file aka uploader and I'm having a hard time with it, is there some NON FLASH solution (maybe jquery or even plain javascript)?
Hi I am writing a web app (mainly iphone targeted) where the user has to enter their dob as part of the log in, I need this to be <input type = 'password'however I also want to enable the numeric section of the keyboard. I would usually change the type attr to 'number' however as this needs to be hidden I wondered if there was another way to activate the numeric pad
Cheers!
(ps I do not want to use any frameworks such as jquery on this)
Hi Everyone,
I'm doing with Visual Studio 2010 Installer Project. I want users to enter an text input the installer will check if it is valid. If the text is NOT valid (somethings like emails), installer lets the users know and suggests re-enter the text.

When I refresh a page with FireFox, the values of the check boxes, input fields etc. are kept. Is there a way to make FireFox not keep them, using a meta tag without Javascript?
Thanks!
I have been working with Coldfusion 9 lately (background in PHP primarily) and I am scratching my head trying to figure out how to 'clean/sanitize' input / string that is user submitted.
I want to make it HTMLSAFE, eliminate any javascript, or SQL query injection, the usual.
I am hoping I've overlooked some kind of function that already comes with CF9.
Can someone point me in the proper direction?
Hello,
There seems to be a problem, where i can't display the complete value in a html form text input box.
When I echo $ title, I get output as "Stacey's Mom"
This is the html code I used to show the value.
--
This returns the value in textbox as "Stacey".
Samething happens when "," or "'" or "/" occurs in the text.
How can I show the entire text in the textbox.
Help would be much appreciated.

I've implemented a ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource in my Spring MVC application which I use to display prettier error messages for binding exceptions. The problem I'm having is that, due to a company policy, these errors must be displayed in the following format:
[inputData] is not a valid [fieldName].
The field name is accessible by default in my message properties file (as the {0} argument), but I can't figure out a way to display the invalid user input. Is this possible?

I have a class that processes a file, and as part of the constructor with one argument I want to input a file using fstream.
I basically want it do something like this
class someClass{
public:
someClass(char * FILENAME)
{
fstream fileToProcess;
fileToProcess.open(<FILENAME>, fstream::in | fstream::out | fstream::app);
}
};
I want to pass the filename in as an argument to the class constructor, and then the class someClass will access it with fstream.
Hello
I've a text editor in my application. I want to programatically set the input language for the text editor alone without affecting other controls.

I've been reading about XSS and I made a simple form with a text and submit input, but when I execute <script>alert();</script> on it, nothing happens, the server gets that string and that's all.
What do I have to do for make it vulnerable?? (then I'll learn what I shouldn't do hehe)
Cheers.

Is there any short way to achieve what APT does in Python ?
I mean, when the package manager prompts a yes/no question followed by "[Yes/no]".
The scripts accepts YES/Y/yes/y or "enter" (defaults to Yes as hinted by the capital)
The only thing I find in the official doc is input/raw_input..
I know it's not that hard to emulate, but it's annoying to rewrite :|
Hello everyone

int l=[textField.text length];
range=NSMakeRange(1, l );

return YES;
}

What's the best way to sanitise user input for a Python-based web application? Is there a single function to remove HTML characters and any other necessary characters combinations to ensure that an XSS or SQL injection attack isn't possible?
Hi! I need to get output of native application under PowerShell. The problem is, output is encoded with UTF-8 (no BOM), which PowerShell does not recognize and just converts those funky UTF chars directly into Unicode.
I've found PowerShell has $OutputEncoding variable, but it does not seem to affect input data.
Good ol' iconv is of no help either, since this unnecessary UTF8-as-if-ASCII = Unicode conversion takes place before the next pipeline member acquires data.
Hi everybody,
I need to send the list of the input arguments to readInput function. But the compiler gives error when I call readInput function. Could you please tell me where my mistake is?
bool readInput(netcorr net,int argc, char * argv[]);
int main(int argc, char * const argv[]) {
netcorr net;
bool error=readInput(net, argc, argv);
}
bool readInput(netcorr &net,int argc, char * argv[])
{
}
thanks for your help.
